Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Actor Lee Seung Heon joins the cast lineup of the upcoming youth K-drama I Am a Running Mate.
On September 26, it was officially confirmed that Lee Seung Heon will be added to the cast of I Am a Running Mate. His agency King Kong by Starship also confirmed the reports and asked for the viewers' support as the rising actor will showcase a new side of him through the upcoming series.
Lee Seung Heon is one of the rookie actors who debuted through the agency King Kong by Starship. He started his acting career in 2021.
The actor was first seen in the Daum Kakao TV web series Fly, Again. He worked alongside MONSTA X's Hyung Won, Joo Se Bin, Park Eun Hye, H.O.T's Tony Ahn, Moon Jung Gi, and Kim Ha Jun.
Lee Seung Heon also became remarkable through the tvN K-drama Bad and Crazy led by Lee Dong Wook, Wi Ha Joon, Han Ji Eun, VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon, Sung Ji Ru, and Cha Shi Won. The rising actor played the role of a passionate new detective who suddenly died.
Expectation arises on what kind of performance Lee Seung Heon will show in the new K-drama he will star in.
I Am a Running Mate will be the collaboration work of director Han Jin Won (Parasite) and writer Oh Do Gun (Autopsy). It will be produced by Blade Entertainment, Ace Maker Studio, and Running Mate Cultural Industry Limited.
The upcoming K-drama will revolve around a model student who had his image tarnished because of an incident. To recover his image, he decided to accept the offer of a choir director to be his running mate. Only to find out that there are more running mates aside from him. Because of his pride, he decided to join another candidate who was a social butterfly.
I Am a Running Mate will be led by Yoon Hyun Soo, Lee Jung Sic, Choi Woo Sung, Kim Ji Woo, Hong Hwa Yeon, and Lee Bong Joon.
Lee Seung Heon will play the role of Choi Jong Soo. He decided to join the election race for the school's student council.
This K-drama will be the directorial debut of the screenwriter of the blockbuster film Parasite. The upcoming K-drama is also drawing attention as is it invited to the 28th Busan International Film Festival which will happen in October this year.
