Shin Hyun Bin and Kim Nam Hee were reportedly cast in the upcoming series "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate"
Reports circulated on Wednesday that Shin Hyun Bin and Kim Nam Hee will be joining Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min in the upcoming JTBC drama "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" directed by Jeong Dae Yun ("She Was Pretty" and "W") and written by Kim Tae Hee ("A Beautiful Mind" and "Sungkyunkwan Scandal").
Shin Hyun Bin's agency Yooborn Company stated their side regarding the news, confirming that Shin Hyun Bin did receive the offer to be the female lead for the drama and their artist is currently reviewing it. The actress was given the role of Seo Min Young, an anti-corruption prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office. Meanwhile, Kim Nam Hee's agency DAY Entertainment also confirmed that their talent received an offer but nothing has been decided.
"The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" will be based on a popular web novel of the same name. It will narrate the journey of a man who got the chance to be reborn and plot revenge. The man has been devoted to the chaebol family for 10 years but in return, was killed and framed for embezzlement. He was then reborn as the youngest son of that chaebol family and executes his revenge by taking all of their wealth.
Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min are currently reviewing the offer to lead "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate."
Shin Hyun Bin became known after starring in the hit tvN drama "Hospital Playlist." For this year, she will be busy with two dramas. Shin Hyun Bin will return to the second season of "Hospital Playlist 2" with Yoo Yeon Seok, Jo Jung Suk, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung, and Jeon Mi Do. She will also work with Go Hyun Jung in the upcoming JTBC drama "A Person Like You."
Kim Nam Hee is an actor well known for his roles on "Mr. Sunshine," "Search: WWW," and "Sweet Home." Currently, he can be seen playing a role on KakaoTV's ongoing drama titled, "Mad for Each Other." This June, we can also expect to see the actor on the upcoming drama "No One But a Madman."
"The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" aims to begin filming in the second half of this year. The broadcast of the drama will reportedly be in the first half of 2022.
