Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
SISTAR's Kim Da Som is confirmed for another 2023 K-drama.
The idol actress' agency Story J Company confirmed on November 28 that Kim Da Som will be part of the upcoming k-drama titled "Is It Fate?"
Kim Da Som will be joining the confirmed main leads Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop.
2023 will be the grand comeback of Kim Da Som to the k-drama world. She last starred in the 2020 K-drama "Was It Love?" with Song Ji Hyo, Son Ho Jun, Song Jong Ho, Koo Ja Sung, and Kim Min Joon.
Aside from "Is It Fate?" Kim Da Som will also be part of the upcoming 2023 K-drama "The Season of Kkok Du." She will work alongside Kim Jung Hyun, Im Soo Hyang, Ahn Woo Yeon, and Kim In Kwon.
Kim Da Som started her acting career in 2012. She was part of the K-dramas "Family," "The Eccentric Daughter-in-Law," "Band of Sisters," "He Is Psychometric," and more.
"Is It Fate?" will depict its story from the webtoon of the same name written by Nam Ji Eun and illustrated by Kim In Ho. The story will unfold with the accidental encounter between Lee Hong Ju who's afraid of falling in love again and her first love from 10 years ago, Kang Hu Young.
The upcoming series will be directed by Song Hyun Wook ("The Golden Spoon," "The King's Affection," and "The Beauty Inside") and written by Park Geu Ro.
Kim Da Som will give life to the role named Kim Hye Ji. She's an English teacher at Obok High School and the best friend of Kim So Hyun's character, Lee Hong Joo. Kim Hye Ji was shy and quiet in her teen years but after finding her true self, she finally shows her true and straightforward personality.
"Is It Fate?" is set to premiere in 2023. The filming of the series will begin soon.
