The main protagonist, Le Jun Kai marries Ye Zi as revenge for his former lover and unborn child. He emotionally and (implied?) physically abused Ye Zi but yet she bares this without retaliation. When Le Jun Kai begins to realize he might have feelings for Ye Zi, he forced her to get a divorce and left her to fend for herself. She initially didn’t want to leave him but finally agreed when she discovers she is pregnant… (This is a web series.)

For a so short drama I have to say that this is very intense and breathtaking. Its a story about love and hate, and how there is a thin line between those two emotions. And also, the story is not what you expect, so it´ll surprise you!
The acting was great, I liked the acting and feelings.
The music was good, I mean, as always - Peter is doing a great job.
Overall, I think that it´s good that it was so short because it was intense and there was always something happening. Definitely recommending this to those who like intense dramas.

At some point while "Le Jun Kai" was airing, I accidentally started watching this on Viki when I clicked on "Le Jun Kai" instead of something else. I had never seen a Chinese drama before, and I figured that it could be decent. ((Spoiler: It sucked))
Story: Let me just start out by saying that none of the characters in this drama should be allowed to reproduce- ever. Please do us all a favor and *don't* contaminate our gene pool with your stupidity. What sort of idiot kid just goes with some creepy guy as soon as his mother's name is thrown out into the air? What sort of messed up wife would still love her husband after he raped and abused her? What the heck

  • The both of them remember me of the quote "Hatred never ceases by hatred, but by love alone is healed. This is an ancient and eternal law." In both of them the main guy wants revenge and makes the main girl fall in love with him only to hurt her, but he gradually falls in love too.

Not anyone should watch this, because lets admit ...the storyline is sick...romanticizing Stockholm syndrome is...hmmm... a bit insane I find. Since it's a drama it can be seen as some sort of gore entertainment but only a mature mind should watch this otherwise it can be damaging.

Beautifully shown relationship between mother and the child. It made me think how much I would be able to sacrifice in such situation.

Overall, I liked the drama; but hated the ending. I would enjoy more Chinese drama/movies if they didn't do voice overs. The females & kids are always high pitched and the men all sound the same. Why can't we hear the actors REAL voices?
Chinese dramas/movies has to really capture my attention in order for me to sit through those annoying voice overs. i.e., Tan, Tan...geez

I feel the exact same way. I had to drop a few shows because the voice overs were too annoying and high pitched. I dont understand why they do it in the 1st place. Have they not mastered the technique of lowering background noise (wind, loud cars) or something??

Well you can guess the endind even without the opening... I meen it's the classic tragedy, the hero(let's put it like that) does something unforgivable a great sin( marrying for revenge, torturing his wife...) than there this moment when he realizes his mistakes only it was too late because his punishment had olreaady been set ( he dies, big shoch there?!) .So my first Chinese drama ended up being this drama , but well despite the plot which was a little too much exegurated the actors played their roles perfectly and I meen perfectly!!! It's a petty they don't always act so well in other dramas with much much better plots

This had a very strong beginning and will get you hooked pretty quickly. That ending though - it was.... BLAH. I don't think the outcome of the drama needed to be changed, because I expected what happened to happen, but the acting and plot during that last scene could've been a lot better.

    Overall, I gave it a 7.
