    1) The reason I watched this:

I have a psychiatrist friend who insisted on watching this film. She already knows that I don't mind any sort of special story no matter how horrific it is; I was fully prepared to any type of scenes and so I watched it.

    2) Storyline/Plot:

They weren't kidding when they said "This movie contains EXTREMELY graphic child abuse! Do not watch if you are easily disturbed.", I intentionally repeated it because this film isn't directed to all types of audience, even if you are an adult you can easily be disturbed.

    Positive points:

*It's a true story that focus on a world wide issue: a great topic.
*The producer wasn't afraid of showing the horrible fact to the audience.
    *The

I came into this film knowing what it was going to be about, but nothing could have prepared me for the impact of watching The Crucible. It was dark, violent, and quite honestly nauseating. I was on the verge of tears for nearly an hour and when the 1h36 mark hit, I had to pause the movie and did nothing but cry for the children. To think, this is real. This happened to these kids. When I hit play, from that moment on, tears were falling.

I will probably never be able to watch this movie again, but it is something you honestly must see. Yes, the images are disturbing. Yes, you will feel anger, sadness, and numbness, but this movie leaves an impression. The acting

The 2nd train scene (I'm trying not to spoil anything) made me cry hysterically as did the scene with (riot) police [I'm not sure which one was it]... I've watched this move three times already but I was still choking on my tears even during the 3rd watch...
It's so horrible, so sad, so crushing and touching.

After watching the movie for the 1st time I tried to learn some of the sign language, but by now I've forgotten even the few signs I knew. I should look them up again!

hope they will get justice. May God help them and protect them. All the children who are abused and being abused may God give them strength and courage. It's not only sexually abused or physically abuse. I will surely take care of my only precious baby. I will show love and care for he is my happiness in my life...

i'm so giggling of anger. hatred and i cried for all those kid who have been abused. grrr. police are useless they don't even give a damn action. why because they get money. i'm gonna vomit while watching. I can't bear to watch it but I'm gonna finish this to know whats the ending.

in a reality everyone has own stories, has own experiences. its quite not good into the eyes to watched. but its a deal of life. i was been abused when i was a kid. I couldn't complain as i was afraid that they gonna hurt me again so badly. i just cried in the corner wishing that i can get out of that shell. I grew up not knowing who was my mother and father was and how they look like. until i was 8 years old my mom and my dad showed up. I was angry at the first place why i need to suffer all those things if i had my mother and father to take care of me. They just said we need to work for your future that's why we left you in the care of our relatives. But now I'm okey. I have a kid and i won't never leave him alone like my mom did to me when i was a kid.

does anyone know what the advertisement sign said at the end of the movie???
    • asian3imposter Apr 7, 2013
It's the advert of the book "Dongani" by "Gong ji young". That's the book on which this movie was based. The book is actually based on a real case; meaning that this is a true story. Hope this helped :)

A girl gets her head shoved into a washing machine...and it pretty much does show you the rape of some of the girls and even boys

  • daisyx2x Jan 22, 2013
after reading all the reviews and stuff i planned to hold a tissue box in my hands and i finished it all.. the only thing that kills me here is that its a real story ! i can handle sad things in movies or dramas because i keep telling myself its only a story plot .. i wish every one will watch this and actually think how some children are living this hard ! T-T :'/

This was excruciatingly painful to watch, so disturbing :( Those poor kids. I was so angry at the ending that I was yelling at my TV...I haven't found a lot of movies that can get me to do that, so I'm glad I found this one. So good. I'm really glad I decided to do some research on the case afterwards tho to see what has become of it since the movie came out.

I know this is on dramacrazy, but for anyone who might still be having some trouble finding the movie, I made a playlist on YT a while ago for it

i was really glad i watched it as well. Even though i was disgusted with what happened etc i was grateful for the people that were a part of making this film, because they showed us that there are disgusting people like that in the world but it also showed that there are people who honestly care about your well-being and with that in mind i was able to appreciate the movie more ^_^

Exact-o! I wish more people would comment stuff like this instead of 'Ohmygod I am mentally scarred 21+ pl0x' so that people don't get scared from watching it.

I see others deal with hearing loss too like me and were deeply affected by how these kids were treated because off their losses. Man, what those kids went through. I dropped it. I just...so...sad. T-T It just hurt to know this really happened. These kids couldn't defend themselves...so awful...I wonder if the people who abused them are in prison! I hope so D< I want justice damnit!

I found the movie on youtube just in parts(7 parts) but I didn't mind it. The movie on youtube was on good quality and I loved it. Does anyone know where I could read the true story behind this movie? I been looking around, but can't find the true story... just the movie details.
