Five Stars

THE most extra and yet badass entry in the history! I was laughing while still being massively impressed. Wah I'm really loving this show!

Hyeong Min is scaring me

Hyeong Min is scaring me by each passing episode. He is completely blinded by rage and revenge and in that state of mind he won't think clearly. I'm ready to bet money that he'll ignore evidence or incidents that would otherwise raise suspicions towards someone else because he's so fixated on Doctor's Son. Thirst for revenge never ends well. Will see how his story goes.I am loving this show more and more. I am especially impressed by how intricate everything seems and how connected everyone is by past events. Really curious to see more. And as always, I'm especially happy whenever I see Jung Kyung Ho. I love him to bits! He was made to play Doctor's son!

Expected revelation

So I was kind of spoiled by the Doctor's secret from reading the description of the plot for this drama, but I am still happy to have finally see it revealed...with so much backstory no less!!A very intense episode, not necessarily in terms of action, but in unveiling somewhat the connection between the main characters of this story. I absolutely love that they're all connected in one way or another and I am extremely excited to see how it plays out.Seeing the type of decisions Hyeong Min is already taking I have a feeling he will only become more reckless and take bigger risks as the story progresses and things may turn out to go against his plans. Maybe he even becomes the anti-hero or villain, who knows? The story is still beginning so there's a number of ways this could go but I'm excited for all the possibilities!I only hope and pray that the writers handle well the story of a cop, spying on another cop. I'm not too comfortable with knowing that the Director is the only one knowing that Doctor's Son is an undercover detective. I am actually hoping there is an operation behind all of this because this can turn into a huge, disappointing disaster if not handled well. But so far I am happy with the progression of the drama so I'll trust the writers!

Strong beginning!

While I don't shy away from older dramas, whenever I start watching one from 5+ years ago I always wonder what I'll find and the differences that will stand out.I was extremely happy to see that Cruel City is holding its own extremely well and it seems to be a drama that can do well no matter the year it's watched in.It was for sure a very strong pilot episode with lots of backstory that I'm extremely curious to find out more about, characters that seem fleshed out and have a lot of depth and a plot that will keep the action going for many episodes to come.Definitely recommend it!

Great follow-up!

Excellent follow-up to the starting episode! If ep 1 started a bit more slow, setting the scene for what's to come, ep 2 definitely picks up the pace as we follow our three main heroes rush to rescue a child, whlist dealing with unwanted interruptions from our current supposed "bad guys".A well paced episode that brought to light a few more details about the character's past and how they're linked together. They're more fleshed out now and I can definitely say I'm interested in where this will lead. I've started investing in Chi Kwang, Young Goon and Tae Joo! On to the next one

Ok start

Interesting start to the series. The stage has been set for the conflict, now we just need to see it unfurl. Looking forward to how it will develop. I would say it's not the most gripping start of a crime series I've ever seen but it may simply be a slow burner. Our three main characters did not stand out that much so I'm waiting to see them fleshed out as the episodes progress. There's clearly a backstory that unites all of them so I'm definitely curious to see how it will be revealed and how that influences them
