The first two hours had the hallmarks of a fabulous movie. Very sweet. Do you know I have a thing for werewolves? ;)

I enjoyed the bits of Suni pouring over "The Dog Training Encycolpedia" and teaching him all sorts of tricks.

The last 40 minutes was a little surreal. Suni's very possessive landlord (the rich guy who kept turning up, saying "This is my house!" and attempting to assault her) is dead-set on getting Cheol shot. I was a little bemused of how he set that up, especially the bit where he goes into Cheol's cell, and says, "Suni doesn't like you. She hates you. Go find that guitar!" and off Cheol goes, as if he understood that perfectly.

The story became sweet after that,

Forgive me. I'm writing this all from memory since I watched it in February 2011. Look at my individual marks for the "Story/Acting/etc etc"...none of them are 10. But yet my overall score is??

Well, gather round folks. I will explain it one time, and one time only. If you miss it...well tough. Happily go read a review where this drama is rated "Poor." Find a like-minded sprit and write OVERRATED all over your wall, so you get 13 likes & maybe a smiley face.

    Because now we're entering a hater-free zone.

YB was a drama I entered with low expectations, because one of my frenemies liked it, and anything SHE liked, must be cr*p. The first 3 episodes did enough to keep my watching, though

What a movie. The Japanese can definitely do romance!
I was deliberating whether to give it a 9, because although the story was very cute, it didn't strike me as special. I did half enjoy watching it though. It didn't feel like the actors were acting ;)

But as we moved to the latter stages, I knew this had to score high. It tugged my heartstrings, and a beautiful love shone through. How could I have labelled it as mediocre in the beginning?
I've seen Hiroshi Tamaki in Nodame, and loved him in it. I loved him in this also, albeit a different way, and he gelled well with the female lead. Who by the way, is GORGEOUS, however geeky they make her look.

I resent the high 10's given by some people, because I immediately thought this would be a good movie. It was sweet and unassuming in a way, and I did manage to reach the end of it. But it was sooo...uninventive. The Japanese must really like their scary girls (Nobuta etc) transformed into social butterflies. It explains why there are so many dramas/movies just orientated at this one demographic. But despite me liking the actors, I genuinely found myself not caring much. Watch, if you have nothing else to do. You will like it to some degree, but by how much, would vary on the individual.
