The Pirates and The Bandits

I watched first fifteen minutes of this movie a while ago and it's not that I didn't like it, I just wasn't in the mood for it so I dropped it.
Fast forward few weeks later, I'm bored, in pain because my stomach hurts and I need something to distract me and I remember this movie.
It definitely distracted me and made me feel better.
It's a fun movie.

The story
It's ridiculously fun. The whale eats the royal seal and now everyone chases it. It's a mess, they are going left and right but it's never boring.
The villains are evil, the good guys are not completely good (but they are more good than evil).

The female lead (Captain) has her own story and a villain to fight which I appreciated a lot. No one needed to save her because she was capable of saving herself.
The male lead (Chief) is funny most of the time but really badass when he fights. That scene where he runs through burning ships was hot (literally and figuratively).

And the best part, their chemistry. They are awesome together.

The villains weren't really that interesting, basic reasons, basic ending for them but that's okay.

The pirate crew and the bandits are funny when they are together just as their leaders.

This movie is not really something that will make you think deeply but it's entertaining. It made me laugh more than once.

I recommend it to people who like comedy and weird movies.

Who can find the culprit first?

The watcher or Totono?
At first I didn't plan to watch this, I just kinda skipped it when it was airing and then later I continued to skip it until I actually wanted to watch it.

It was fun and I liked it a lot.
I wondered why I didn't watch it before but if I made myself watch it I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much as I did.

The story
A lot of different cases are solved through the drama, some are connected, some are not but all of them are interesting.
The culprit is mostly hinted at or shown and then we watch Totono get involved and help the police.
I find it funny when a character is not a detective but he keeps getting connected to crimes/cases and he keeps solving them.
I actually liked all of the cases, every case had an unique twist that made it more fun.

Totono, he is smart and cute. I liked how we watched him change a little and make friends.

Garo is my favorite character and I liked the connection between him and Totono. If there is a second season I would like to see more of that.

Raika is another interesting character that left a big impression on me.

All of the characters were nicely written, I wasn't frustrated by any of them (their actions).

When a drama is good, I don't really have much to say. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯

I recommend this drama to people who like weird mysteries that make you think.

Kara and Satomi fighting over Yuki for nine episodes

This drama is a mess but it's an entertaining mess.

Story
Overall, the story is good.
Who is Kara and why is she obsessed with Yuki?
It's explained in a few plot twists at the end. I predicted them and I think anyone who watches a lot of crime dramas can see what they are.
The ending is wacky. I'm not disappointed but it could have been better.

This drama has a great (not love) triangle , Kara is obsessed with Yuki, Satomi is obsessed with Kara and wants to prove she is involved in a crime and Yuki thinks Satomi is cheating on her with Kara.

Yuki was annoying and kinda dumb, she gets better later but her character wasn't really fleshed out. She is Kara's obsession and Satomi's girlfriend, other than that there's not much importance.
She trusts Kara who she met a few days ago over Satomi who she knows for years.
She goes to the villa in the woods with Kara and doesn't tell anyone.
She is okay, meh character.

Side characters are also dumb and annoying. Sometimes so dumb I want to slap the screen. They don't investigate anything properly and they are fast to point fingers at Satomi.

Satomi is cool. He is smart and he does everything to protect Yuki.
He was the one who realized Kara was fishy and started to investigate her.

Kara is cool and smart. She is also crazy. She keeps murdering people but nobody seems to notice (except Satomi).
She is always close when a murder happens but the police can't connect the dots.

What made this drama awesome were Satomi and Kara. He keeps chasing her, she keeps running away.
It was fun watching them. Their dynamic and conversations were what made me watch this drama to the end.
For them this drama gets 10/10.
For the rest 7/10.

Would I recommend this drama?
I don't know.
It's a bit frustrating in the beginning, ep 1-5, it gets good and crazy from ep 6 and then ep 9 is completely insane (insane in a way leave the logic out of the door).

Seven is a lonely number

I randomly started watching this, I didn't read any reviews or comments, I just saw the title and was like This looks interesting, so I watched it.

Story
It has it's flaws but the overall concept and cases were super interesting.
I like that it was episodic, someone gets murdered and they solve the case in two episodes, no dragging.
Murder happens, Nishinosono and Saikawa are for some reason at the scene, they get involved and solve the case and the big mystery surrounding the case, because not even one murder in this drama was committed in a normal way.
The concept of locked room was used a lot and every murder was done in some complicated way but that's what makes it fun.
You can't solve the case easily, you need to think and pay attention to clues that are given.

Nishinosono Moe - she is smart and we are shown she is smart but she needs to stop going back to crime scenes alone at night.
She also needs to stop trusting and following suspects.
Also, don't drink water from a shady dude that you know is doing something shady.
It was explained that she doesn't feel anything towards death or dead bodies so her doing reckless things is understandable. It first annoyed me but then it was funny.

Saikawa Kohei - he is smart and he solves the cases but he doesn't want to get involved in them.
Most of the time he solves them because of Nishinosono, she keeps telling him information about the cases or she gets involved and he needs to save her.

Their dynamic is fun and I like how they interacted and protected each other.

Dr Magata Shiki - her first appearance was creepy, a big smile and a blank stare, it definitely left an impression.
She is a complicated character.

Overall, I enjoyed watching this drama.
I recommend it to people who like weird mysteries.

Sweets and almost romance

I decided to watch this because the comments and reviews said it's good.
Is it good? Kinda. I'm not disappointed with the ending because all my expectations were destroyed in the middle.
The last few episodes felt like a chore, I only enjoyed the opening song and that's one of the reasons why I finished this drama.

Story
It's a lot of things smashed together. Everything would be resolved if they talked to each other or stopped jumping to conclusions.
It starts out fun, I really liked the beginning and the characters but the more story went on, the more boring it became.
Some things would get repetitive and other things feel like they are there for the sake of drama and not the actual plot. Like the final conflict, why couldn't we get cute scenes with them working together and not a 'jumping to conclusions not letting the other person finish what they are saying break up'.
It's not all bad. The relationship between the sisters was cute and the romance was cute in the first four episodes.

I don't like Hinoyama, I didn't like him from the beginning to the end. He looks blank all the time. A big portion of the story was about him and Hina and I felt really frustrated watching them. She married him to run away but later she suddenly loves him, where did that come from? I have no clue why she started to like him, they didn't have one normal conversation. Their whole marriage is messy even though it's happy at the end. I feel like it's shallow and they don't like each other so the happy end didn't make sense to me.

Ken seems nice but he is also a messy character. He likes Arare and goes after her at the beginning but when she tells him her feelings he runs away and then rejects her. He has his reasons but he still hurt her a lot with his good intentions. And when they finally get together and are happy, something happens, they break up and get together in the last few minutes of the last episode.
Their bickering was funny and this couple was the most interesting one.

Hana and Iori, the third couple, they were cute but their story was fast paced and not fleshed out enough.

Almost every character made my blood boil at some point in the story.
Well, there were some fun and cute moments so there's balance.

The opening song slaps, if anything watch it for the opening and ending song. Soon you won't stop hearing You are beautiful on repeat in your brain.

The sweet making and the traditional part of the story were interesting, it would be cool if the story focused more on that.

Overall, it was a hot mess.
I have mixed feelings about this drama, it was good and bad and it made me frustrated and bored many times but I still watched the whole thing.
Would I recommend it? I don't know, it's up to different tastes.

Time and memories

I just finished watching this drama. It's three in the morning and I don't know what to do with myself.
I liked it a lot.
I haven't watched Leap day (I might watch it in the future) because it didn't interest me as much as this drama, 940920 is good even without watching the prequel.
I pierced the story about Yeesa while watching, it was not complicated to figure out so I wasn't really confused about anything.

Story
I love time travel stories and this one was awesome. It has set rules and the way it works makes sense. It's not overly complicated and we as watchers find out information with the characters which is fun. I actually managed to figure out a lot of things that are going to happen or how time travel works.
This drama made me think a lot about the characters and the way the story is going.

I wanted to give this drama a ten but I can't because of the ending. It's not bad, it's actually satisfying but I wanted more.
The stories of two characters I liked the most were left unfinished. That made me sad and mad because I hoped some miracle would happen and they would have a happy ending.

Also, I don't like when we follow some characters, they suffer, we get emotionally invested and then they don't get the happy ending they deserve but some people who look like them or are them from another universe get a happy ending and we are supposed to feel happy.
I'm not happy. That's my pet peeve in dramas, I want original characters to get happiness, not another version of them. It's not the same.
Rant over.

Things I liked:
- The way time travel works and how everything is connected.
- The question of memories, the fact that we are made of our memories. We know we exist because of them. They make us who we are so what are we without them?
- All of the characters and their individual stories.
- Co Ying and Ka Chung are smart (not all the time but most of their decisions are smart, they never made me feel frustrated).
- The subtle romance between Ka Chung and Co Ying, the way their friendship was growing and how they trusted each other.
- The villain. That's what happens when a bad person gets access to time travel but I guess there would be no drama if he wasn't like that.
- Every episode is exciting (episodes mostly end on cliffhanger so you have to watch the next one).

Overall, it's an awesome story that will make you think a lot. I totally recommend it.

The student voices should be heard

This was fun. It's fast paced and interesting. I started watching it randomly and I finished it in one day.

The story
It's a school story that revolves around different characters. Pretty much all of them are bad in some way and Teacher Onizuka changes them.
He does things on impulse but all of them turn out good at the end. There is a pattern in the story, something bad happens, Onizuka first doesn't care, then he does something random and the problem is solved and never addressed again.
Many things are glossed over, the fact he went to a love hotel with a student (even though he did nothing, it's wrong), he got stabbed and that was never mentioned again. He says he respects women but keeps looking up their shirts.
The fun part of the story are students problems and how they slowly start to trust Onizuka.

The characters
All of them suck. I guess that's what people are, bad and good at the same time but here the teachers did some disturbing things.
The kids were bitter and I understand that but I can't understand the teachers.

Uchiyamada - always plotting something and wanting to be a principal. He is annoying through the whole drama.

Nakamata - he wouldn't be that bad if there was not that one scene where a student accidentally sends him a love letter and he is happy to get it. He even imagines kissing the student. Yuck.

Kotani - always putting other women down. She keeps talking how women should marry and have kids like that's the only thing they should do. It got really annoying.

Hakamada - he seemed fishy from the beginning, he was always bubbly and a typical stereotype of PE teacher in anime but he is actually shallow. He wants the students to tell him their problems but when one said no, he beat him up. His whole personality was a facade.

Teshigawa - full of complexes. He puts sleeping pills in Fuyutsuki's drink and wants to sleep with her. He is a stalker and a creep. There is no excuse for his disgusting behavior.

Yes, these characters suck and I had to vent but watch the drama for the good characters (Onizuka, Fuyutsuki and the students). Also there are many heartwarming and cute moments.

Onizuka - he wants to help his students and to be a good teacher. Even though he does some stupid things and he doesn't think much about his actions, sometimes someone like that is needed.

Fuyutsuki - she is a good teacher, she tries her best even though she can't do much sometimes. It's sad to watch her be helpless when she wants to help the students and Onizuka. She is my favorite character.

Onizuka solved some of the students problems through extreme measures thet could lead to disasters (but didn't) and I understand why everyone likes him. He pushes them forward.
There was parent drama, bullying, too smart for school, some fights, a lot of interesting stuff.
It wasn't really dark, there is a lot of comedy and funny faces.

Realistically there are a lot flaws in this drama, so why did I give it an 8?
Well, I liked it. It had a nice message. The student voices should be heard and the teachers should protect the students.

A delivery of things and feelings

It's two in the morning and I just finished this drama.
I have the tendency to binge watch stuff because I quickly lose interest, not all the time but most of the time.
With this, I watched one or two episodes a day. I took my time and I had fun watching it.
It's slow and the big mystery is stretched out till the last episode so if you expect fast paced thriller mystery you are at the wrong place. It's more about characters and healing.

Story
I started watching this because of Kimura Takuya and because I love stories that involve memories.
Technically we are a bunch of memories, if we lose them, who are we?
Do you stay the same person or do you change? This drama touched on these topics and I liked different opinions characters had. The adults wanted to forget the past while the kid wanted to remember every moment.
And Yukio was scared, he was scared of his past and who he was.
He lived three years as Yukio, if the memories come back what will happen to Yukio? Will he disappear?

Things I liked
- Episodic format. Every episode had a different story, different thing he had to deliver while the memory plot was sprinkled in between till the end.
- Yukio's past.
- No romance, just friendship.
- The relationship between Naomi and Yukio, she took him in and protected him.
- The way Yukio unintentionally helped people while delivering stuff.
- Yukio being done with half of the characters. *The eye roll*
- Badass women Naomi, Sakuhara and Shika.
- Yukio's hair, I had to mention it because it feels like his hair is also a main character.
- The catchy song in the opening of every episode.

Overall, it's worth watching and I would recommend it to people who like character driven stories. It's original and sometimes weird but I liked it.

An unexpected hero

I had fun watching this.

Story
After all the torture they put him through I thought he would gladly take revenge but he didn't. He is one of those characters who have morals and conscience.
The story is not developed enough and the characters don't have personalities.
It's fun to watch as something where you turn off your brain.

Things I liked
- The music.
- Creativity in fight scenes. They can't die so it's interesting to watch them fight. There are no limits, they shot themselves and start again.
- The concept of Ajin.
- Cinematography, it's pretty.
- The ending. It's awesome.

That's it. It's a pretty movie without much story and depth.

Things that could have been better
- The characters are one dimensional. They have no personality or character development.
- Nagai starts as a confused and weak guy but by the end of the movie he can fight and he is a great strategist. When did that happen?
We see him train but it's short and not enough to convince us that he can take on Satou who has way more experience than him.
- The sister subplot just takes time and makes no sense. She didn't serve any purpose in the story.
- Why is the bodyguard on human side protecting the bad guy?
- That one scene where the guy dies and Nagai is super sad. Why? Just why? I don't care about that guy, why are you trying to make it emotional? Why should Nagai care about him when he was one of the guys who tortured him. Just kill him and move on, don't try to make it emotional.
- Satou's plan. Why couldn't he just take revenge on people who hurt him? At the end he didn't do anything and that made me sad. I wanted the glasses guy to suffer.

Overall, a cool movie. I think it's worth watching.
It would be nice if there is a sequel because there is so much potential in the story.

A place where you can almost reach out and touch the sun

I was in a slump, nothing was interesting and then I found this. I watched it in two days.

Story
I liked it. The theme of the whole drama is flying, healing and never giving up but every episode had it's own little story.
The problem would happen and be solved in the same episode which kept me watching. Nothing dragged.
Ep 9 is emotional damage but I still liked it.

Things I liked
- The characters.
- The focus is on pilots everyday life.
- The romance is a side dish.
- The romance between Shinkai and Ogawa was so cute and natural.
- Every character has it's own story.
- Koda's and Shinkai's friendship. The way they care and understand each other.
- Shinkai's and Togashi's friendship, I liked how they would sit down over coffe and talk about things.
- The friendship between characters in general was a highlight.
- The way the trauma was dealt with. I liked the line: Do you think you are the heroine in Greek tragedy? It was something like that but I laughed so much.
- They actually behave like normal people.
- Not everything needs to be serious and dramatic and I liked that approach.
- The ending song, I never skipped it.

Overall, I enjoyed watching this and I would recommend it to anyone who likes character driven stories.

Who is he? A character.

This was a wild ride.
It had a slow start and a fast end.
The build up takes forever, he draws, something happens, cops ask him stuff, he lies and so on...

Story
There are a few plot twists and anyone who watches this type of movies can predict what they are. Plus we get a bunch of hints through the movie, it's pretty obvious what will happen.
That doesn't make it less interesting.
There are a lot of graphic scenes and blood. It's a story about murder after all. The blood is everywhere.

- Yamashiro Keigo, the manga artist. He is a good person but not completely. How could he draw all those things if he didn't have a little darkness in him.
He is a coward and he does some stupid things but he pays for them. I felt sorry for him because the psycho killer was following him and he felt like everything was his fault.

- Morozumi, the killer. Welp. He definitely had something in his eyes. I wondered why those people stopped and gave him a ride. They were too friendly to someone in the middle of nowhere.
He read the manga and then made it happen. Obviously he has some issues but they weren't shown directly, it was mostly hinted why he is doing what he is doing. I wish we saw more of his reasoning and motivation. I feel like he could have been developed more.

- Seida, the detective and my favorite character. At first I thought he would be the typical detective they show in movies but he wasn't. He followed clues and listened to what other people say to him. He was Keigo's fan and he believed him and tried to help him.

The characters are great and the concept is great but I feel like something is missing and I don't know what.

Overall, an interesting movie.

Who is the monster?

I think this is the first time where I liked every character.

Story
It's unpredictable till the end. I even wanted to look up spoilers but I stopped myself and I'm glad I did.
I predicted who sent the letters and who was the killer but those were easy things, what I didn't see coming was the ending.
I don't know what to say about it. I kinda liked it and I kinda didn't. For all that amazing build up it could have been better.
And that one gigantic plot hole at the end... It didn't ruin the story but it didn't make it better.
First seven episodes are a 10 and the last one is an 8 but I still liked the drama.
It's definitely worth watching and even though the ending could be better it's not disappointing. It gets a satisfying conclusion.
The part about everything being an experiment and the question: Are monsters made or born?
The sins of the kids weren't big, you can't even call those things sins.
So I would say the experiment failed and they are not monsters.
Someone might say they are, maybe it depends on how much we like the characters.
I liked the cinematography and the music, it made the story even better.
Every dialogue and scene is important.
The characters are three dimensional with flaws.
The best thing, there is a bunch of plot twists that make sense, they are not there for the sake of surprising the watcher.
Another thing is that we find out everything with the characters, we are never given more information than them. That means we solve the mystery with them.

The characters
- Moo Yul - the leader. At the beginning he is someone perfect, other's rely on him, they think he will solve everything but soon we see he is not perfect. I liked how even though he was desperate and it was hard, he still helped others when he could just choose to save himself. He has a hero syndrome as the annoying psychologist would say.

- Chi Hoon - the smart guy. At the beginning he seems cold and arrogant, it looks like he doesn't care about others but later we see he is a nice guy. He just thinks logically.
If he was the killer, they would have all been dead in one episode.

The whole group has two braincells and it's those two.

- Young Jae, the bully. He annoyed me the most. He jumps to conclusions and doesn't want to listen to others. He would solve every problem by beating people up. He pretends to be strong and scary when he is not. But he broke down and we saw he was weak, he just wanted to protect himself.
Still not an excuse for his shitty behavior.
The line - It's okay when others hate me but it's different when I hate myself. - That's when I started to kinda like him. Just a little bit.

- Yoon Soo, the quiet guy. His past is messy and his memory is messy. He sees a monster in the corner. He carries a lot of trauma that he didn't properly deal with. He follows what others do and just drops random clues about things.

- Eun Sung, the only girl. She is not happy anymore and she doesn't know why. She first wants to die but then does everything to survive. She is broken and scared but she still flights.

- Jae Kyu, the invisible guy. At the beginning he didn't stand out like the others. He just blended with the background but the more we saw him, the more we found out about him. At the end he was very visible and important.
At some point he looked kinda insane (that scene was amazing) but he came to his senses.

- Kang Mo, the weak guy. At the beginning he seems weak, he gets bullied and suspected by others. In reality he is not weak, he is strong and brave. He makes mistakes but never gives up.

- Mi Reu, the scary guy. I see a pattern, they are shown as something in the first episode but we see their real colors later. This guy is not scary. He is smart and funny.

- Psychologist, I could write an essay about him but I don't like him so I won't.

This drama is awesome. I recommend it for anyone who likes character driven stories and psychology. It's dark and maybe disturbing to some but I liked it.
It will probably stay in my mind for a very long time.

Why is it not raining?

I started watching this because the title is cool.

Story
The story is fun to watch. It focuses a lot on what humans did to earth, all the bad things.
The ending is technically happy but I felt something was missing. They are together and happy but it's my pet peeve when characters forget what happened to them and live a happy life. That makes me pissed off. I watched these characters grow and learn on their journey and now they don't remember any of that, how is it still them? It makes it seem like the journey was unnecessary and the bond they made is lost. It just doesn't feel right.

Thing's I liked
- The gods, they were the best part.
- The bromance between Orad and Li Pu Hui.
- Fali seems a little fruity.
- Toem and her backstory.
- Orad and his character development.
- The plot twists at the end.
- The stories at the beginning of every episode.
- Because I'm almighty I'm powerless. That quote stayed in my mind.
- OST is beautiful.
- Romance was slow burn and cute.
- To be honest I was more interested in the story about kawas than the romance.
- The reason why Kakarayan doesn't want to bless Earth anymore.
- What is real and what is fake?
- What happens when a lie is found out?
- Orad is my favorite character, he was cute whenever he smiled and made it rain.

Overall, I like this drama a lot even if it has it's flaws.

When even the time couldn't separate them

I started watching this randomly because I was bored and it turned out to be so good I completed it in three days.
The intro music made me happy.

Story
The story was interesting, I liked how he went back and forth between past and future. He is a really smart dude, he was always one step ahead of everyone. Yes, it's because he saw what will happen but he used that info in a smart way.
I thought he would be a cool cold guy but he turned out to be a funny nice guy.

Thing's I liked
- The romance, it was natural and cute and I couldn't get enough of it.
- Hee Jin teaching Boong Do how everything has something to do with kissing and him just accepting that.
- Their kisses and that one scene with spaghetti.
- Boong Do's smile.
- Cool fight scenes.
- Pretty much any scene with the two of them.

Thing's I didn't like
- Hee Jin's friend that's also her manager, she was annoying. She was a bad friend and a bad manager. I couldn't stand her.
- Dong Min, Hee Jin's ex, also super annoying. He is immature and an awful person. I couldn't stand him.
- Assassin's that were alive for way too long.

Overall, I had fun watching this and I would recommend it to anyone.

Time after time

This turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I watched the first episode and it was super interesting. The plot kicks in immediately and there is not even one boring moment.
The ending is happy which is satisfying. After getting blown up so many times and struggling to survive, it would be sad and disappointing that they died.

Thing's I liked
- The way the main characters learned from their mistakes. They would mess something up and then fix it in the next loop.
- Main characters being smart, they made plans and tried all kinds of different things to end the loop.
- Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun being cute and brave many times.
- Episode 8 was something else, it was shocking but really good.
- The characters, everyone had their time to shine.
- Old Zhang, he was my favorite character. He listened and observed everything without jumping to conclusions.
- Ludi, he was an unexpected character, I wish we saw more of him. He was really excited to be in a time loop and that was fun to watch because characters mostly don't believe in time loops.
- The mystery of why the bus explodes.

Overall, a great story with great characters.
