Sweet, short and adorable mini-show

This is a sweet and adorable mini-show. Even if the storyline isn’t exactly new, it is still entertaining.
Character wise:
FL is supposed to be this accomplished woman from modern times. That is why I don’t understand how she sometimes suddenly becomes this immature and whiny girl.
ML is the typical prince/king/CEO except that he isn’t ice-cold and arrogant.
Acting wise this is ok given the comical angle to the show. Some scenes and characters are exaggerated, cringe or silly, but it is primarily a comedy so that is somewhat understandable.
So, if you want something sweet and short - with absolutely no angst or suspense - this is well worth watching.

Confusing mini-show with different and intersting storyline

This is an odd but somehow interesting mini-show. The storyline is very confusing and the subbing is even more confusing.
It seems to be about a woman (FL) who is seduced by a snake (ML) in human form. His aim is to impregnate FL. After he successfully does that, different people/entities show up wanting to either protect FL or use FLs “child” (spirit orb/bead) for some special purpose. To make it even more confusing, 2 of the people that show up have the same face as FL and ML. There is an explanation for all that happens, but I didn’t fully understand it.
Acting wise this is rather good for this short format.
So, if you are fluent in Chinese this will properly be quite interesting to watch.

Mini-show with potential but poor execution

This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is interesting enough but the execution is rather bumpy. There are serious holes in the story and things left unexplained.
Character wise we get a strong and smart FL that has a history with ML who is powerful and clever. The chemistry between them is good but not outstanding.
Acting wise this is not one of the best mini-shows. The ML and FL are good but the rest of the cast varies in skills which gives us a hint that this is a low-budget production. Don’t get me wrong, low-budget productions can be really good if managed well, sadly this is not really one of these - even if it is far from the worst I’ve seen.
Anyway, if you like a romantic drama with an interesting storyline, this is an ok watch.

Great season 2 of a very different mini-show

This is a great season 2 of this mini-show. Actually much better than season 1. The storyline becomes more complicated with the major twist that starts the show. There is a more serious atmosphere and the story is more dark. On the other hand we get an epic love story that is not typical for these short shows.
Not everybody will like the ending and I admit I shed a tear but I choose to see the ending as a start. Perhaps we will get a season 3. I will definitely keep my eye out for that.
So, if you love a good mini-show that has different characters and storyline than normal - and an epic love story - this is definitely well worth watching.

Second season that's actually better than first season

This is a very nice mini-show and a really good season 2. The storyline builds upon the storyline in season 1 and connects to that seamlessly. Not all season 2 does that.
Character wise this show gives us two new versions of the main couple from season 1. FL is on a new assignment and ML is her new target of interest after getting a divorse from her husband who abandoned her 5 years earlier - and has returned with a new woman he wants to marry. Neither ML or FL remembers their love story from season 1 but love isn’t that easily suppressed.
Acting wise this is better than the previous season. The chemistry between the leads is great and they actually have steamy kisses (I can’t stand those pecks on the lips we often get instead of real kisses).
Anyway, if you like a good mini-show with a great love story, this is definitely well worth watching.

Fast mini-show with a good love story

This is a really nice mini-show. Even if it is low-budget and the storyline isn’t much different from a lot of similar shows out there, it is funny, sweet, heart wrenching and entertaining.
Character wise I really liked ML since he is the one that develops the most but at the same time suffers the most. FL is clever and resourceful (read…seductive, LOL) and I love that about a FL. I’m not that into weak, dumb and naive FLs, even if they are cute (in the eyes of many men).
Acting wise this is a little more than mediocre. Only a few cringy moments - nothing that ruins the show. The music is good and supports the mood - a thing that isn’t always so in these mini-shows. There is a season 2 and I’m definitely going to watch that.
So, if you like a fast and sweet mini-show that will bring a tear to your eye, this is well worth watching.

One of those shows you won’t remember

This is an odd mini-show. The storyline is quite simple. A modern day woman travels back in historical time after being in a coma because of a falling turtle (yes a turtle). While being in a coma she experiences the life of an empress/queen.
Acting wise this is not a high quality show. The FL is exaggerated in terms of facial expressions (pouting, laughing and so on) and sometimes her reactions to money/jewelry and when eating (which she does all the time). This might be a directing thing, I don’t know.
One thing that really annoys me is all the eating and cooking all the time. It gets boring after a short while.
The subtitles on YouTube are close to crap but at least I got most of what was going on.
So, if you like mini-shows and don’t mind the food-theme, this is an ok watch - but nothing more.

Interesting short time-travel show that doesn't feel rushed

This is a great short show. The storyline is interesting even if the basic premise isn’t explored well enough in my opinion. In that I mean that there aren't enough missions or healing/curing of patients which there should have been since that is why FL travels into this new world/dimension. Not that it ruins the show but it does make it feel like it has some unlocked potential. At least it didn’t feel rushed and the ending was actually pretty good.
Character wise:
FL is a modern day medical student who somehow travels in time/dimension. There, her identity is a princess from an adjacent state. She is medical skilled, resourceful and has a strong personality - unlike many of the women around her. One thing that occurred to me was that FLs bedside manners could use an update, LOL.
ML is a calm and cunning prince that hides a lot of secrets including a strange illness that FL seems to have a beneficial effect on.
Acting wise this was pretty good. The actors did a great job with their characters despite the limited timeframe.
So, if you like a romantic time-travel story - with an interesting storyline - this is definitely well worth watching.

Interesting time-travel themed short show with food for thoughts

This is an interesting short show. The storyline starts off quite simple but soon gets more complicated since more than one person goes back in time. I see this show as trying to play with “What if…” in the sense that these people get a chance to see what happens if they make other decisions now than they did back then. Quite an interesting thought that I think many of us have had at some point in life.
Character wise:
We have this sweet and kind FL who is abused by her husband and commits suicide but is somehow given the chance to go back 10 years before she chooses the wrong person to marry.
We also have this nice and caring ML who is drugged and tricked into marrying a woman he doesn’t like who also commits suicide. He also gets the chance to avoid his miserable life.
The two of them were in love back then so now they get a chance to be together. Will it be possible to live another life and be happy, or is the life they ended up in really their unchangeable destiny? That is what this story gives us a take on.
Acting wise this is pretty good and the actors portray their characters well within the limited timeframe.
So, if you like a good time-travel/dimension-travel story - with a satisfying ending - this is actually well worth watching.

What a waste of time......

This is an odd mini-show. There are so many things that are unrealistic, that the show ends up being a waste of time.
Spoilers!!!!
One is that FL manages to raise a child for 5 years without ML knowing it is his - and FL doesn’t tell him even if she marries him. Then she suddenly needs 3 mill for an operation for the kid and her love rival cuts her off so he dies. Only one month later she is fine again (as in not grieving) even if she also has a miscarriage with the second child of MLs she is carrying when she loses their first child. And the 2ML moves in and occupies her couch! Don’t get me started with the fact that 2ML somehow becomes a child by carrying FL on his back for a long distance!! By the way he is faking it to get FLs sympathy.
Character wise we get this FL who waits until the very last to tell ML what really happened. A lot of her suffering and both her children could have been saved if she just told the truth from the start. We get this ML who misunderstands FL and treats her like shit to get some kind of revenge. In some ways I understand why he feels the way he does but the way he handles it is immature and abusive. 2FL is a classical gold digger like so many other women that sets their eyes on marrying into a wealthy family.
Acting wise this is definitely not top shelf but it’s not that bad.
Anyway, if you want a “no-brainer” story that has a nice ending, this is ok. Otherwise just find something worth your while.

Problematic mini-show with abusive content

This is a problematic mini-show. The storyline is abusive and there is sexual harassment in the beginning. I know that in many countries it’s technically not considered sexual harassment (rape) if it happens in a legal marriage - as in this show where FL loves ML. But that doesn’t make it ok. Seeing past the obvious problem this is a story about misunderstandings, manipulations, greed and love. Sometimes we have to lose somebody before we get to know their importance.
Character wise we have a FL who has been in love with ML since they met in school (around 11 years when the story starts). Then we have this ML who is a CEO and a rough man. Thinking he was tricked by FL to marry her instead of her sister (whom he thinks saved him during an earthquake) he treats FL as an enemy. Besides that we have this 2FL (FLs sister) who is straight out a bitch.
Acting wise: This is not top shelf or anywhere near that, but it’s not bad either.
So, if you like these kinds of stories - and can get past the abusive part - this is an ok watch.

Fast, sweet and romantic mini-show that is worth watching

This is such a sweet and funny mini-show. The storyline isn’t actually new but the show is very entertaining. The short format does have its disadvantages but that shouldn’t keep you from watching this one.
Character wise: FL is capable but somewhat unlucky. I love the way she gets stronger when she gets a second chance to live the last year over again - not wanting to repeat her mistakes. She is also very cute, done right this time.
ML is cool on the outside but sensitive and thoughtful.
For once we get a mom who actually supports her son and let him choose whoever he wants to love. That is what I love most about this mini-show.
Acting wise this is not even near top shelf (frankly some of the actors are pretty bad) but the main actors are sufficiently skilled, cute and likable.
So, if you are in the mood for something fast, sweet and romantic, this is definitely well worth watching.

Comedy that puts the light on mental disease

This is a funny and sweet mini-show. The storyline with a girl that’s “allergic” when touching a man and a boy that’s actually split into two quite different personalities is unique.
I love that this show puts the light on mental disease which is rare in comedy shows. The open ending was also appropriate since it isn’t easy to cure mental diseases.
Sometimes we can create awareness through comedy and deal with issues that are otherwise tabus. This show is able to do so if it gets more attention.
So, if you want to watch a romantic comedy with food for thought, this is well worth watching.

Wonderful and different costume production

This is really a wonderful costume production, It has it all, except for the usual tropes (no forced marriage, no forced divorse, no annoying 2FL/2ML and no major misunderstandings).
It's funny, exciting and romantic. Even the love story isn’t the usual kind, but a warm and touching story of two very different people thrown together by destiny.
I liked this strong and clever FL and calm, collected and scheming ML.
Acting wise and in terms of chemistry this was very good.
So, if you are in need of a mostly lighthearted, funny, romantic and different short production, this is definitely well worth watching.

Nice crime solving mini-show with lots of magic

This is a nice lighthearted mini-show. The storyline is mostly crime solving and the art of magic. In that way it’s quite unique. Sadly the subs were pretty bad so a lot of the dialogue and thereby explanations were nonsensical. Sometimes the scenes made sense even without good subs but often they didn’t and I guess I might have missed a few points along the way. What a pity.
Character wise:
FL is street smart and cunning. A rare kind of FL that I actually like. She is too childish for my linking but her abilities make up for that.
ML is clever and observant. He might be a little stiff but his ability to solve crimes is great.
Acting wise this is a good show. I did find that FL was a bit over the top perky but Chinese shows love to make FL perky and childish in order to be “cute”.
So, if you like crime solving and magic, this is actually worth watching.
