STORY: Jumps around a bit and confusing but it wraps things up in the end. Really the best part of this movie was watching how two of the three couples became couples. Some sugary sweet romantic scenes in this.

ACTING/CAST: All very cute actors and they do a good job though. Wish they kissed better...

MUSIC: The copy I watched had some audio problems so I can't grade this.

REWATCH VALUE: I'm not planning on it but hope to see the sequel soon.

OVERALL: Kinda slow and confusing but it was nice watching the romantic BL scenes.

STORY: A theater student in a gay relationship tries to use theater to come out to his intolerant mom in a round-about way. Frankly, I would never suggest someone do this, because it can leave the other person feeling like they've been played, tricked, lied to, or even manipulated. Sure, the son didn't know quite how to tell his mom, but she's intolerant, not stupid. I really wish the story was fleshed out more because so much is left unsaid. Did the boys break up? End up together? Did she accept her son, simply by the fact she attends the play? Who knows?

ACTING/CAST: They all did a good job. I think the costume/set design was quite good.

MUSIC: I liked the piano bit at the beginning, and this did have some interesting culturally relevant music.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah, simply because it feels at the end like nothing really happened, or was accomplished with an open ending.

OVERALL: Worth a watch one time, but soon forgotten.

STORY: A short story but it was nice as Den brings a little sunshine into Poupe's life.

ACTING/CAST: If you like Kao and Nat, you'll like this. They have amazing chemistry.

MUSIC: I liked the music and it was English Subbed too.

REWATCH VALUE: I watched it a second time already.

OVERALL: A quick watch of a cute onscreen couple worth a half-hour of your time. Even though it's sponsored by Pepsi, they weren't obnoxious about product placements.

STORY: A short story mostly dealing with Ming coming to terms with his sexuality. The ending is a bit somber but they are happy during the credit roll.

ACTING/CAST: Ming is cute. The cast generally did a decent job.

MUSIC: A couple songs, in English no less, were OK.

REWATCH VALUE: If I found a HD version, I'd probably watch it again.

OVERALL: A quick story that does a decent job of building the relationship between Ming and Hei, and shows the struggle of being gay in a Christian school.

SIDE NOTE: I have NO idea what this movie's title is about or why. Maybe it's an idiom that is lost in translation.

STORY: Read the other review for more details. What I'll add is that it's a very warm and cute romantic comedy. Nothing complicated and nothing tragic. There are two couples: Porsche who chases Emma and a BL slow burning bromance between Pick and Rome that turns into something more. There are some downright hilarious bits in this series too; I was laughing hard.

ACTING/CAST: Sirisorn Vorakorn (Porsche) is great; very charismatic. Rome and Pick are super cute too. It was also nice to see Cheewagaroon Harit from Love Sick in this (super cute).

MUSIC: I liked the music. Another fine soundtrack for a good Thai drama.

REWATCH VALUE: I may but looking more towards Season 2.

OVERALL: A nice, heartwarming show that focuses on 4 people without a lot of extra messy plot lines getting in the way. Also, cute dogs.

A powerful and wealthy family bought a slave from an orphanage as a play thing for their kid. This is the story of them grown up.

STORY: For most of the movie I only cared about one person: Xie Yan. He is literally at the mercy of the evil people around him, including the one who owns him, Shu Nian. He faces quite a lot of hardships and injustice. The ending wasn't sad as much as a cliffhanger because it sets up the sequel.

ACTING/CAST: Very sharp cast, good acting. This is a quality production. There was some great chemistry here and the evil people I mentioned before did a good job at being evil.

MUSIC: Typical music for a drama. Nothing special. I don't understand Chinese vocals and the version I watched the lyrics were not translated.

REWATCH VALUE: Sure, I will watch it once more with a friend.

OVERALL: A quality program with high production value.

TL;DR: If you're OK with a story about a master/slave BL relationship, then watch this.

A love triangle between a guy and his supposed "girlfriend" and another guy who is his "boyfriend."

Total run-time: about 38 minutes.

STORY: This is the super common trope of the girlfriend being the third wheel. Other than that, the story is rather short and there's a lot of scenes with no dialog even though enough is said by the activity and body language. At least there is no tragic ending; everyone survives this film.

ACTING/CAST: I really liked the girlfriend's part. I think she played it well. The other two actors were decent though this film was really too short for any real character development.

MUSIC: The main song of this was quite good. I really liked it. It poetically summed up the whole movie in one song. I'm going to listen to it again.

REWATCH VALUE: Not enough here to really want to see it again.

TL;DR: Short story with a tired out trope of a guy who strings along his "girlfriend" as he really wants to date another guy.

Supernatural, Nothing More...

STORY: It's quite an interesting premise, one guy sees dead people and gets tangled up with another guy who can exercise ghosts, all tied together by a mysterious girl who can curse people to death. The guys develop a bond, but this wasn't even a light bromance. Absolutely nothing to see here. I thought I read somewhere that the manga had some BL elements, but NONE of that made it onto the big screen if there ever was any.

ACTING/CAST: Basically only 4 characters dominate the entire screen time, and they did a fine job. I couldn't get past how much Hiyakawa reminded me of the Grim Reaper from Goblin... maybe it was the hair...?

MUSIC: I didn't really find the music interesting or even fit this movie well... seemed out of place for such a dark movie.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah, not now that I know the ending and there is no cuteness between the guys to bring me back. Typical supernatural thriller, nothing more. Good once though.

OVERALL: Was hoping for BL, or even some bromance, but none of that was here. Moving on...

STORY: The details section covers this well. It's a powerful story that deals heavily with gay rights and adoption. Happy ending.

ACTING/CAST: The little boy stole the show for me. The rest of the cast were OK but most were so one-dimensional. Only Yuke seemed to have any real passion.

MUSIC: Standard fare.

REWATCH VALUE: I may watch it again sometime if I have a friend along for the ride.

OVERALL: The story plods along slowly. There are lots of scenes with no dialog, as intended I'm sure. It's a good movie but a bit slow for me.

STORY: One guy is married and has a kid and decides to break off the relationship with the other, who seems not to have had a clue about this, or ignored it up until now.

ACTING/CAST: For such a short show, they did a fine job. Their little physical interactions and closeness was quite nice and very organic, something major productions don't seem to capture. I enjoyed watching the simple things all real life couples do: where they place their hands, casually rubbing the other's knee, basic intimacy stuff that mainstream BL couples lack, or make a super big deal about--specifically where the one boy put his hands on the other's hips when they were on the motorcycle, which would be a silly, major plot point in a mainstream show, LOL.

MUSIC: Typical, nothing memorable.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah, cause I'd have to pay for it again.

OVERALL: Well, it was worth the watch once.

This is about two guys who suddenly become step-brothers when their parents remarry and they happen to be polar opposites.

Total run-time about 75 minutes over 4 episodes.

STORY: If you have seen the Chinese Addicted web series, you've seen this. It's a super short version of the same story. It's still a good story but there's a lot of cliches in this one: polar opposites who spend a lot of time together, develop feelings, one boy chasing another, kid-sister-type who loves BL and thinks they should be together. You get the picture. Still good to watch though. This does have a HAPPY ending.

ACTING/CAST: Wow, the two guys in this are super HOT. There is also some good chemistry but I sure wish there were more intimate moments! Docked a star for that.

MUSIC: I don't speak it so it probably is a good selection but unmemorable otherwise.

REWATCH VALUE: I would watch it once more with a friend.

TL;DR: Taiwanese version of China's Addicted web series but not as good; also HAPPY ENDING!

I have never been so touched, moved to tears, or smiled so big as I have watching this show.

This show is a spin-off of Love Sick: The Series but BETTER. Why better? It has a lot more well-written and thought-out scenes that will truly touch your heart. It's also not filled with as many side stories or unrequited, angst-riddled love.

Many other dramas will skip scenes, fade to black, or use some other plot device to end the opportunity for the couple to have a deep discussion about their love, their relationship, and where it's headed. NOT this series. The writers lovingly devote ample amounts of precious screen time to the couples as they openly discuss their problems as adults (even though they are high schoolers). It also doesn't take 2 seasons of awkward moments, fights, misunderstandings, and such for the couple to finally accept that they love each other. This series puts them together early on and then shows us how they deal with challenges and grow together as a couple.

I'm not an overly emotional guy but even I had to bring tissue. Many of these scenes are just so very tender, you will cry. Some of the lines uttered are so unbelievably cute and romantic it just tugs at my heart. It also helps that the actors are very handsome.

This series is not perfect though. People complain about the music, well, for the most part, it's the right song at the right time. Also, a lot of plot devices are reused. I couldn't count how many times someone tripped, fell, or was otherwise injured and it allowed a moment for the couple to bond or see the other for the first time. Some plots were a bit juvenile but I chalk that up to this being a high school drama. Product placement is contrived and each episode ends with a "Side Story" as they call it, basically a skit about some product from the advertisers. You may opt to skip these skits, but there are a couple of them that are so funny I would recommend not skipping them. Lastly, I'd recommend watching Love Sick: The Series as characters from Make It Right live in the world that Love Sick built.

TL;DR: Real relationships, real problems, real solutions that the guys work through showcasing the love and deep affection they have for each other and their commitment to their future together. You will grow to love these characters. I beg of you, let's all please support this show so we can have many more seasons!!!

Poor Self and Body Image at a Gentleman's Spa

STORY: A worker at a Gentleman's Spa has issues with his body but befriends an attractive client who shows him kindness. He takes swimming lessons from his new friend and attempts to modify his habits to change for the better, but is dismayed that his new friend sought out the services of the other masseurs at the spa, and not he himself.

ABOUT THE STORY: I always enjoy a fresh take on a different subject, and I was really hoping that one about a guy who has body image issues, and the obvious self-esteem issues to go along with, would be something with a super positive message, but I found mostly that it was a cringe to watch. At the end, the guy does learn a lesson but still, very cringey.

ACTING/CAST: The cast did a fine job, and if it was the actor did a good job getting across the feelings of the character, even though I found the character a bit creepy.

MUSIC: Typical, nothing memorable.

REWATCH VALUE: I wish this could have been better, but the story was just a miss for me. So, no.

OVERALL: Cringeworthy.

STORY: It's a very compelling story that had me interested the whole movie and it ends satisfactorily. I should point out that while the show doesn't have a "sad" ending, as in soul crushingly pointless, the overall show is a tear-jerker. Also, the show is mainly about the mother and the spirit mediums she hires, so even though there are some gay characters in this, I wouldn't call it BL.

ACTING/CAST: They did a good job. "Boy" did his part well, all the dancing and ceremony, nice job. The son is cute.

MUSIC: Ah, standard for a movie.

REWATCH VALUE: Ah, I'll probably spend my time watching other things.

OVERALL: A good and entertaining movie with some great storytelling that presents lots of questions that all get answered in the end but no real "BL" in it.

STORY: The story is decent but short so their relationship develops fast for the sake of screen time.

ACTING/CAST: They're new. Chai is cute.

MUSIC: For being so short, I liked the songs. The translation was rough.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah.

OVERALL: Pretty low budget with fresh actors; very short so watch anyways.
