Must watch

This drama is the one of my favourites! Japanese drama's can be different (for me - but it doesn't stop me from watching them!) as I find they tend to leave a lot out.. so your always having to fill in the blanks. I didn't find that with this one.

This was a nice mature drama with no screaming girl - it's a nice story about a 'devil' Dr with little to no emotions who catches the eye of a young nurse who has fallen head over heels in love with him and has to break through his rough exterior.

The story flowed nice, had super fantastic acting in it - even the second lead stories were spot on.

Amazing Story

Don't let the length of this Drama sway you - I have a hard time keeping myself watching after 20 or so episodes as most long drama's begin to get silly - and the writers tend to drag the episodes- which was not the case in this drama. I had to have two starts to this drama. I watched the first five episodes and got 'kinda' lost - gave up and moved on. After watching 'snippets' of this drama on Youtube my curiosity was peaked again- I thought I would give it another shot. I re-watched from the beginning and got totally sucked in. I just love Yang Mi's acting in this drama - from here I found myself such a fan of hers. And, who doesn't like Mark Chao? In his long hair.... and the fact that his is connected to Canada. I did skip over the parts of Dilraba Dilmurat, and Gao Weiguang - I simply can't find a connection with these two - I know that Dilrabas character is immature in this story - but I just can't handle her whining (sorry I know a lot of people simply love these two)

Great Drama!

Wow, this drama really surprised me. Not going to lie - I would have just watched this as something to fill in-between watching other dramas.... I'm going to admit - I now watched this one fully three times.

The actors were superb, the story had surprising twists, and the kissing... well - it was nice. This drama had just the perfect amount of everything in it. The main actress was just so calm and mature in her role so, so well done. Thank you! None of that screaming when they see a man in bed. Her mature shyness was so well done, the main lead - was such a cool, composed man - who played his role well as a third generation rich kid - but not over the top either. He showed such growth in the drama - again, not over the top. (A lot of drama have the characters do a 360 in their personalities - in real life this simply does not happen) Love how she would give him a stamp for his good behaviour - and how he would miss that stamp at some point during the drama.

The second leads had interesting stories as well - they didn't pull from the main story - but was there to support the main characters and their story line - which I find in some dramas' the second leads stories pull away and become at times more interesting then the main story.

The story is simple - woman saves rich old man - and rich old man wants to repay her kindness and teach his grandson how to be compassionate. I loved how the main actress was a simple school teacher - with no ulterior motives - she just wants to find a kind/good man to marry. The main actor was a hardworking, self disciplined, a bit spoiled rich kid.

16 episodes was just perfect, the pace was nice - a must watch. I don't know why this drama is not higher rated

(If there is only one thing that really irritates me (as a western viewer) is why do they always wear their clothes to bed - I know there is a lot of censorship in these dramas - but you can wear pajamas's. )

Hidden Gem

I found this hidden gem a few days ago - as with most of the drama's I find myself 'skip' through the first few episodes as will all the drama's they can take a long time to 'set' the story. Once it got going, (about three episodes) your riveted to the story.

The acting was fantastic, the story was great, the music was wonderful. The two main leads were spot on with their characters. I did feel story for the second main lead - (but what drama don't you feel sorry for them). It's a dated drama, but it's so worth the 20 episodes and it does not matter with this 'classic'.

Love the "Squad"

If you're on the fence about watching this drama - just over it and land on this one! It was fantastic right from the get go - the main female lead starts out - I'm thinking what a push over- boy does she prove me wrong. Her strength and just her over all stoic behaviour was just the perfect and so well portrayed. The main male lead was so funny and goofy - but strong when needed. (I just loved the way he spoke Korean! So wish I knew this language!)

The story does not drag - there is a perfect balance between, friends, family, suspense, drama and love. Oh we can't forget the 'squad' I'm sure there is a squad like this in everyone's neighbourhood. But not this kind what a group of women! They nailed it! tough love at its finest - but they knew when to band together to protect their own. Kim Sun-young is such a great supporting actress that at times she steals the scene from the main lead. Last but certainly not least I'm a sucker for shows with Children and Kim Kang-hoon was perfect. His emotions were so realistic that at times you forgot you were only watching a drama.

You'll not regret watching

This was my very first Cdrama and did I happen to pick a winner! The sad part is I started watching this Sunday afternoon about 1pm on Netflix - thinking that it's like a 'western' drama - you know - maybe 15 at max episodes... by 3am I'm still glued to my tv thinking... kay - one more episode, only to find out it has 63 episodes!

This drama has it all- Yang Zi is so pretty - and her acting blew me away as she looks so young! All the acting was fantastic - the story does not drag. The visuals, the costumes and hair was amazing. (I hate the drama's where you can see the meshing on the side of the men's wigs! It's a pet peeve of mine as it's sloppy work by the makeup artists.).

Over all, it's a classic and in 25 years from now I can see this drama being just as popular as it is now!

Wow - Emotional

I hesitated in watching this one. Japanese Dramas can leave a lot out of there dramas - This drama did not leave anything out. It was an emotional ride, the spirit of a person, and the ability to teach life lessons while facing the unthinkable was simply outstanding. The actor's in this drama portrayed their emotions perfectly - even the young brother - The mother was such a strong figure - the real backbone of the family. Have a box of tissues with you whilst you watch - highly recommended.

Lives up to all the reveiws

This was my second drama to watch. My first reaction to it was...what the hell am I watching? My second reaction was who the heck is this drama's visual/special effects supervisor - and why did they hire him/her -I think a child could do better? My third reaction was - bawling my eyes out. Fourth reaction was - oh my God! Why have I been missing these drama's and where have they been all my life! I'm not a huge fan of long series as I have the attention span of a 'flea' but this one kept me fixated. Xiao Zhan's acting was so intense - and how he managed to remember all those lines?! If there was anything like the Oscars in China - I sure hope he won it as he took me as the viewer on one hell of a ride.
