Both are directed by the same talented director (xin shuang); they are both modern crime thrillers that explore different social themes ie family dynamics, human behaviour, 'good' people making bad decisions, the impacts of those decisions etc. Both are superb productions that should be watched by more people!

Both dramas feature protagonists, Jian and Gyeo Wool, with hidden lethal abilities and family secrets. Jian discovers the apparent suicide death of her uncle and is pursued by assassins, while Gyeo Wool is an undercover assassin. Both face threats from dangerous organizations and unexpectedly collaborate with other characters to survive increasing violence and danger. The plot centers on the combination of special skills, family betrayals, chases and unexpected alliances.
The protagonists are similar, and if you watch both dramas you will feel a dejavu between them.

ML feels emotions/pain of FL which is the driving force of them being involved with each other.
FL is unaware of the connection at the start.

I want to make a correction to the below recommendation that Chicago Typewriter is NOT set during the Joseon period, but during Korea under Japanese rule, while Mr. Sunshine is set right before that, during the brief awkward period between Joseon and Japanese rule (called the Korean Empire 1897-1910).

Yes one, Knight Flower, is a comedy and the other, Mr Sunshine, is a tragedy
But I feel like the two female leads are really alike, both are strong with a soft heart that can’t stay still against injustice
And both have a quirky naive adorable personality to balance their strengths well

Long hair, curved gait, he is not really what one could call a beauty canon, nor even a person you want to dwell on... He shyly confesses to the girl he loves, the beautiful and sparkling Tanaka, an inveterate otaku who only has eyes for the characters in her games. However, she simply declines his feelings...

The next morning, Murai comes back to school transformed from head to toe. He has dyed and cut his hair and now wears the style of Tanaka's favourite character! Murai will do everything to seduce her and attract her attention!

At her Marie Antoinette-themed birthday bash, Michelle loses her head after a few drinks and wakes up dishevelled in a hotel room. Forty days later, she discovers she’s pregnant and sets about finding the culprit. Michelle narrows it down to three suspects who turned up at her shindig: the figure-skating teenager. Jeb; the seafood-sauce tycoon. Tiger; and her Harvard-educated Chinese-American boss, Bill. Their confrontations provide ample opportunities for overdone slapstick and naughty sexual innuendo, but there’s also the matter of her incompatibility with any of them, poignantly addressing the harsh reality that she’s not exactly long-term relationship material in their eyes.
