It's a masterpiece

I don't usually give reviews bc, if I love a show, I want to give it 10/10 but at the same time I know there are things that could have been better, so I don't, but with this first ep I have absolutely no reservations. It's so unbelievably good.Zee and New's acting is so detailed and on point that you can spot something new during every rewatch the more you pay close attention. (The rest of the cast as well.) The pacing and the dynamic of the drama, the mix of insightful, emotional and funny scenes is perfect. Every shot looks like a beautiful poster. The background music perfectly complements and adds to every scene.I'm simply in awe.

one major hiccup

i really like this episode. they set up the conflict well & similar to the last episode where ami supported rei with usagi , i enjoy how rei's intuition comes through for usagi to better understand ami. my biggest gripe is how things resolved. like i just wished usagi actually said something to ami instead of things just moving on like nothing. something i appreciate a lot is getting to see usagi's friends bytheway. this episode was adorable the pink desks & such , there's so much to love. one minor complaint i don't like how luna just dissappears & reappears without explanation. like it just throws me out of the moment. these two episodes were very nice , as an ensemble cast , while they are in this small number set right now it's nice to be able to focus & develope each other on adequate levels. i have a reason to care about each of these girls.

Get out of jail free card for psychopath

Every time I see this particular trope, I hate it.The villain, whether male or female, is revealed to have had some trauma in childhood, which must excuse all the human and other wreckage they have left in their wake ever after. Would that still be true if those three thugs had managed to kill Luk and Ram? It certainly wasn't for lack of trying on their part that they didn't quite manage it. And Namning didn't care - either way would have been okay with her, at least as far as Luk went. Nam is a criminal, just as much as the three thugs she hired. She should go to jail. But of course this is BL world, and all the little fujoshi would be upset if she was punished as she would be in the real world.Forgiveness is not a virtue if all it does it demonstrate to a violent miscreant that she can get away with any evil she does, as long as she can claim special privilege for having had a less than ideal childhood. And even that was pretty small potatoes compared to real childhood abuse.

Oooooh~ things are pretty interesting! 👀It was interesting to see Jack at the start of the episode because I wasn't expecting at all for him to be like that, I thought thay didn't know at all at the time, but for him to be their bully knowing how he is now (and how we see him at the end of the episode) was quite jarring. Everything we see serves a purpose though... He is the obly one that not overcome by emotions as Mew currently is, can remember things that clear the air between him and Erng. They both have someway changed, because of time, because of trauma, because of whatever the fuck Erng went through... They are still the same kids, but they are also completely different people at the same time... It is something that always baffles me!I also love the fact that both Fahsai and O that just wanted to uncover the mystery are developing a soft spot for Erng! Especially Fahsai for obvious reasons, loved the fact that they talked about menstruation! It is rare to see it, or at least it didn't happen to see it often to me!I'm enjoying this story quite a bit...I wasn't expecting it!
