I guess this drama would be best if it is watched one episode per week, at least for me.

Not a hate review. You should give it a try and make up your own mind and DON'T TRUST A REVIEW.
I always gonna say I like Kdramas BUT still I have some problems. People loved this drama. I got it when your watching an on going show every week, it keeps your curosity BUT when you watch a show which has been released, it's not that mesmerizing anymore. Same with this show. I liked it but still it has no story except she went back to change SunJae' fate. THAT'S IT. SHE GOES BACK TO CHANGE FUTURE AND NOTHING. I mean she said it herself in the 14th episode: "That our fate was just going around in circles". I got through the 8 episodes and I was like what they gonna show us in the remaining 8 episodes. But it was same old story. She goes back. No side story.
I know they (writer) have a way of telling their own story but hate me if you have to but it seems like parents has no play in it neither their friends. I hate it how they put aside Tae Sung character like he has no future for atleast 13 episodes. Kim Won Hae (SunJae' father), great actor but I don't know why he accepted this role. He was just their for entertainment. Like in episode 12 they gave him a "stuck in a bathroom" scene like they had nothing to show more. What's with that?
Of course it was interesting but still not addictable. I think it got my attention from 1rth episode and I finally found the stability I was looking for.
All in all you guys give it a try if you haven't because everyone has a different perspective. I liked it but expected more maybe, I don't know 😂.

Less is More

. One of the reasons my preferences shifted from #KDrama to #JDrama was the saggy bloat of the traditional 16+ #KDrama format. Seeing 12 ep #KDramas becoming mainstream and many being made in the 4-8 range is very encouraging and this Drama is part of the trend There were no significant flaws and the Drama was an excellent example of short form storytelling. Also, impressed that in the compact timeframe, the 'second chance' trope was well explored with analysis of why it didn't work the first time. Highly recommended

Completely hooked the first few episodes

This show was SO good the first like 4-5 episodes. It seemed like it had a plan and then somewhere along the way they lost it lol I love these actors but I couldn’t tell if Chimon’s character was supposed to be that awkward or he was just actually that awkward. For someone who confessed his feelings first, you’d think he wouldn’t be so stand offish and make perth prove himself to his friends. Even after all that is done he’s still “get away from me, why you touching me even though I told you I like you” . Perth was good, able to switch from bully, to in denial to in love pretty well. But I was really confused when he started aggressively pursuing the girl (I forget her name) after him and chimon already had so many “moments”. It felt like it was vague whether or not perth wanted to be more than friends with her in the beginning of the show and then randomly in the middle of the show his world ended when he got friend zoned. I didn’t realize he wanted her that bad. I also did not at all find it believable that she liked chimon’s character so much that she was crouched down balling her eyes out because he rejected her. Like have they even exchanged more than a couple sentences? GMMTV shows usually are one different show the first half and then a completely different show the second half. I feel it was the same with never let me go but it was executed a bit better maybe because pond Phuwin’s chemistry is there. Perth is really good but idk if chimon is really feeling the bl industry. He was honestly better in his smaller role being phuwin’s love interest for a minute in never let me go. That was more believable to me.

NEVER HAVE I FELT SO SATISFIED BY A XIANXIA DRAMA ENDING!!!!

This is by no means a professional review, I'm trying to offload all the crazy emotions I felt while watching this and I hope they give you the nudge to try it for yourself, that being said, let's dive right in.

Let's start with the CGI;
Wow! Just wow! This is some of the best work I have seen, the different realms with their various settings, even the underwater realm didn't look ridiculous in this. The fighting scenes were so believable and immersive. Let's not forget the awesome displays of power. If I thought I'd win, I'd fight you baby girl of an ancient god for you Lord Bicang.
But the best part of it all would be the hall of the fallen gods, Xing Zhi's comrades.

The acting;
You know the actors were prepared to serve c**t when the CGI is complimentary and not the entirety of their work. You can tell they trained and worked hard, especially for those fight scenes, I even tried pausing to catch the background fighters slipping-- I'm talking to you untamed-- but everyone was focused on the game. It made everything truly thrilling to watch.

SHEN-LI!!!!!
Never have I met a fl I didn't want to shave and water board for being ridiculous and annoying. She got the character and became the character. Her wit and humour were nice additions. Her strength was visible and not something forced on the viewers to support a narrative.
Let's not forget the face card....and her wonderful wardrobe, I want to be isekai-d into a xianxia solely for the clothes I'd get to wear.

XING ZHI!!!!!!!!!!
The man that you are.
Have you met a god who was so in touch with his emotions you forgot he was a god--except for the catching lightning part, cause holy hell was that all godly and hot--- never? Well, let me introduce you to this one.
He was delightful when he was a mortal, the humour was there even when you could tell it wasn't supposed to be, but as a god turned fisherman, he was a marvel to watch.
His crush on Shenli and all the jealous stuff he did because of it were the highlights of some of the episodes.
One of my best scenes is when he spars with her, but more like claims her in front of her soldiers. Shen li was a strong warrior to not jump his bones right there.
Xing Zhi aka bored ancient god aka Shen Li's baby girl, I wish you were real so i'd have a better excuse to reject normal males.

THE CHEMISTRY!!!
Just one thing: HOW THE HELL DID THAT EPISODE GET THROUGH CENSORSHIP!!!
They had me watching my screen guiltily because I knew there was no way I got to watch all that for free, and so easily!!

Slight comedy my a** this was a full blown comedy with a side of fantasy rated R, with zero drag and zero skip episodes.

THE ENDING.
The main reason I even decided to write a review.
Most Xianxia endings are just tortures and merciless executions disguised as entertainment. Tell me why i'd suffer for 40 plus episodes with minimal fluff and disguised spiciness------i'm talking to you long ballad the hell was that making us watch two parrots kissing---- to have the ml or fl die a horrible totally unnecessary idiotic death???? Or have an open ending leaving the rest to the viewers imagination???? IF MY IMAGINATION WAS RELIABLE I WOULDN'T BE WATCHING THIS THINGS LIKE AN ADDICT!!!!!!!! I'D BE MAKING MY OWN!!

Anyway, that was the most satisfying ending in the history of all historical dramas, even ones I haven't watched, you cannot beat the fluff overload we got on that final episode. I'll let you watch and see for yourself.

I promised you the earth

This is gonna be short. I rarely watch angst, but I felt the need to try out this one, and it turned out so well. I mean, this show got me screaming at my screen like an insane person every second. it's very grounded in reality that most people change from their high school relationships. We're not the same as we were few years back. Most series just tell us about happy endings, which isn't always like that. I mean, if it's to be reality, most of those couples would later break up. Teh, might have been a jerk for being attracted to his selfish senior Jai, because he only used him for his dream come true. But Teh and Jai's part made us understand what actors go through irl. it's not an easy task at all. Oh, change of interest is something that is common. it's helped a lot of people figure out what they want at the end of the day. The breakup wasn't need, but it made them realize that they couldn't live without each other and they're meant to be. Going through problems in relationships in totally normal, it makes the relationship stronger. IPYTM is a rare find, and I'm super happy I found it and able to learn from it. IPYTM is extremely beautifully laid down!!!

A Heartwarming Journey Marred by an Unnecessary Ending

Honestly, I had no intention of watching this when it first came out. However, after seeing Byeon Woo Seok in "Lovely Runner," I couldn't resist his charm and decided to give it a go. This movie is a heartwarming coming-of-age romance, but inexplicably, the writer chose a sad ending. It felt unnecessary and out of sync with the film's overall tone and vibe.

Both Kim Yoo Jung and Byeon Woo Seok were perfect for their roles. Kim Yoo Jung's character is irresistibly lovable, embodying loyalty, charisma, and charm; she instantly wins your heart. Byeon Woo Seok’s character is equally captivating, portraying a loyal, observant, caring, and reliable friend. There is no doubt these two are perfect for each other. In contrast, their best friends are a bit more selfish, especially Roh Yoon Seo's character, but not in a negative way.

The movie will undoubtedly stir feelings of nostalgia, taking you back to your high school days. Who was your first boyfriend or girlfriend? Did you ever help your best friend approach their crush? And remember all that old technology, from pagers to VHS tapes? It's truly a walk down memory lane.

As mentioned earlier, the sad ending felt unnecessary. I don't understand why the writer chose this route. It doesn't make the movie more poetic or artistic; it only creates a sense of dissonance from the rest of the film's direction and tone. An avoidable disappointment.

Heart fluttering rom-com quickly moved downhill with another murder mystery *tsk tsk*

Finally, FINALLY I finished Lovely Runner.
Phew! That was a damn loooong ride. It should have ended with min 8ep max 12eps. But no, they exaggerated it untillll they couldn't. (─.─||)

Plot:
# It was good, funny, cute, lovely until the murder mystery emerged out of nowhere. I properly watched until ep 12, after that I skipped a lot and watched only the important scenes.
# Lovey-dovey sweet scenes felt really monotonous and full of cringe.
# The amount of tears FL cried, she completed her quota of crying for a year.
# The number of times she said "Sun jae-ya⁸⁹; Oh Sun jae-ya.⁹⁹" is unhealthy.

Acting: 8/10, -1 for Im sol's occasional overacting, and -1 for dumb killer. (٥↼_↼)

OST: 100/10! The best OST of the year goes to Lovely Runner. Woo seok's voice was really soothing and on top of that 10cm, ah, no words for him, just brilliant! ( ◜‿◝ )♡

Re-watch:
Idk if I can. I mean idk if I can watch the thrill part, all the crying and bullshit melodramatic scenes all over again. But yes I do have my favourite parts that I will be replaying a few more times (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Opinion about the characters:
Im sol: Girl! you can't change someone's entire life even if you change it thousand times. Learn your lesson, don't fuss, don't be oversmart and just move forward ┗(•ˇ_ˇ•)―→

Tae-sung: Idk if you know this, this character only existed in the drama version cuz in webtoon there's no Tae-sung. But man he stole my heart with his charming appearance. He's a best buddy you can have in your life. But one thing I would say is stop obsessing over other people's girlfriend, especially if she's your ex. (*_*)

Sun-jae: Ah...the heartthrob. His dimple. I'll stop here. But man was he stupid? No, he was extra stupid! He was straight up obsessed with Sol. Why would you remember a girl you met 15 yrs ago, who didn't even bat her eyes at you and keep messing up your head thinking about her?! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ

The killer: Dude, ahjussi find a better job in next life, it ain't worth it. What a crackhead dumb killer, do your research first, watch some crime documentaries and then think about doing something new ¯\_( ͠° ͟ʖ °͠ )_/¯

My Rating: 7/10 (5 for overall, 0.5 for OST and 0.5+0.5+0.5 for Tae-sung, Sun-Jae and Im-sol's dimples) ♡(ӦvӦ。)

phew

This is my personal opinion, review so don’t get upset with me if it doesn’t coincide with your own opinion & review. 😊

This show for me had pros and cons, what I love most would be the dynamics (on the latter part of the whole serie), love and support the Cheng family has for Niaoniao, although there were many questionable scenes, sometimes lacking too.

I skipped a few parts as well because it was just too dragging for me, I hoped they were able to fill in the questionable scenes though, instead there were too many add ons of unnecessary scene. The second thing I love most is the dynamics and laughter it had brought me from the empress, to the king so on. There were scenes that I cried but they killed it midway because they try hard too much on putting a comedic scene right before the dramatic scenes.. The ML on my opinion he’s okay, but it seemed as if he only had one facial expression all through out, like wanting to go to the bathroom real bad, that’s just my opinion. I’m really not a fan of Lu si, I think this is the 2nd series that I completed from her, aside from I hear you. The rest I’ve seen but eventually I gave up on them, I don’t know maybe her acting is not my cup of tea, although I’ve watched Bai Lu, and Zhou Ye (my Chinese bias)

lu si, I’ve noticed a big change on her appreance too, too much PS from her beginnings and gradually to the present time, I can’t seem to watch leads who looks too unreal almost plasticky like.

Anyhow, I did laugh and cry on some scenes. It was an okay series for me, but not as how others hyped it about.

A Satisfactory Introduction to the World of Nisekoi (Watch the Anime Next!)

Looking at the clips of the actors, this seems to be so-so, which is why I had to drag myself to watch this. Imagine my surprise when I liked what I saw.

I haven't seen the anime yet, so I have no prior knowledge of the story. I read somewhere that this live action movie was made for someone like me who hasn't seen the anime or read the manga. I was entertained so much. It's funny. It's a Yakuza comedy that reminds me of the anime 'Seto no Hanayome' / My Bride is a Mermaid.

But for people who have seen the anime first, this may seem like a cheap knockoff of the original. Keep this in mind as you may or may not like it depending on whether you've seen the anime or not.

Even if some details in this movie may annoy fans of the anime, it has adequately explained the basic plot, and based on the anime's trailer, it seems to be the same, but perhaps with some different execution of events. Also, it has adequately explained why this is called 'nisekoi' or 'false love.' This false love leads to hilarious events that I won't spoil you.

Suffice it to say that I am entertained enough by this movie that I am looking forward to watching the anime. Thus, it achieves its goal.

Some other remarks: As already mentioned, the main lead actors don't look that appealing as far as I'm concerned. (The third wheel was cute though.) If you feel the same way, don't let that deter you from watching it. It's worth watching.

This mini drama is one of the few that should have been a full scale drama. Hong Xiao as FL and the ultra handsome and talented actor, Yan Zi Xian as ML, plus all the supporting role actors, has made this mini a stand out. I am going to hate seeing it end. I went back and looked up Yan Zi Xian dramas and have watched several of them. He just needs that one drama that will catapult him to super stardom. Either Bailu or Zhao Lusi could push him that direction if he was given the chance. I think he would rise to the occasion and be a dreamy ML with either one of these ladies.

Even The Devil Was Once An Angel

” If the devil really exists among us it would be the self-pity of the powerful “

After the 1 hour and 22 minute pilot episode named " A Monster Emerges in Turbulent Times " was over I knew I was in for something good, when the last scene of the episode starts and the song " Enemy of Truth " from the original soundtrack kicks in I got chills, what an episode and what a way to get the audience hooked.

But could something that started so strong keep up this steam for another 15 episodes? Both yes and no. I'd say that MAYBE one episode in the second half of the show was dragging a bit but overall the long runtime of each episode ( at least 60 minutes ) was used well and I always wanted more.
The cliffhangers made me press " Next Episode " faster than I could read the text saying " Next Episode "

The Devil Judge could be described as a courtroom drama but it is so much more, sure the scenes that are the live streamed court cases are great but the show quickly moves on the to bigger picture of it all, why does Yo Han want to live stream all these cases and what is his end goal?

This is one of those dramas in which the journey is equally as good as the destination. The small cases that appear along the way all lead up to something much bigger and when the credits are rolling ( After a 95 minute long final episode!! ) you will definitely feel satisfied.

Meaningful

I liked this film because each episode is short and it is a mini series. I cant commit with the long series available on the media but my focus cant keep up as well with movies. Lol. Haha. Beautiful story. Giid acting. Cant remember any song, tho but the music score is good! SUPER REWATCHEABLE! Comfort series to me. It feels home.

Not SOOO Disappointing,Not SOO BAD.

First of all,i'm just seeing Very low rated reviews so i thought i should say something about this drama in a review.I'm actually rating it more than average but i know exactly why everyone is so disappointed at this show,i realized you have to shut off your brain and be in a particular state of mind to like this Drama! I also started watching it while ongoing and dropped after ep 7/8 and skipped many scenes later and just focused on Ryu Shi Oh (byeon woo seok was always my favourite) and finished it...That time i was actually very busy with my life and couldn’t afford to relate with the silly comedy scenes.

But what happened later was,in 2024 i mean in this year i was jobless and in a very Depressive state in early months so i thought i would just shut off my brain and watch something not-so-serious and started Re-watching Strong girl nam soon..& very surprisingly i quite loved it,the story was tight, but how It's shown has It's questions, they wanted to keep the show ''lighter'' but ended up being silly..but indulged in depression these silly comedies helped me to feel good actually ..The grandmother's love part was the only thing i couldn’t bear myself to watch but the rest of the cast actually did very very well..Ryu shi Oh's character, how It's written, how It's portrayed is SO good and sooo intriguing..(I miss this kind of well written villains' character in kdramas all the time).. Also, the ML & FL did well (FL has certain type of characteristics that people here on MDL really find annoying but that's actually how her character was written, naive, talkative, giving cutesy vibes)& she did good portraying that..the side plots were many and interesting too... ML's team members and related comedies were good.

I later searched on naver to see if it was popular in korea and not to my surprise, it was!! The ratings were good and it was well received by korean audiences. If you want to start this drama, start it,it is NOT THAT TERRIBLE, you might start loving it like me or end up falling hard just for the villain, just like everybody else.Happy Watching!
