Fanfic Junk!

Oh dear! How could a full production team, crew and cast members be this damn oblivious to what they're making! The drama was the apotheosis of human failure, an insidious plague upon the landscape of television, a wretched abomination birthed from the depths of creative bankruptcy and soulless commercialism, a festering wound that infects the very essence of storytelling with its repulsive presence. Its premise was a nauseating blend of techno-narcissism and romantic idiocy, an affront to the intelligence of any sentient being unfortunate enough to bear witness to its abomination, a grotesque mutation of what once passed for entertainment. Characters were grotesque caricatures of humanity, mere vessels for the perpetuation of vapid romantic fantasies and insipid melodrama and their interactions were a cacophony of soulless platitudes and contrived emotional manipulation, each scene got progressively worse than the last. The writing was an insult to the very concept of coherent narrative structure, a labyrinth of a garbled mess and mind numbingly banal dialogue that defies comprehension. In fact, this drama wasn't just bad television, it was an abomination of the highest order, a blight upon the collective consciousness of humanity and the very fabric of reality itself that must be expunged from existence with extreme prejudice. Anyone who dares to defend this abhorrent monstrosity deserves nothing less than eternal damnation, condemned to spend eternity in the deepest, darkest depths of cinematic purgatory, tormented by the ceaseless repetition of its insipid drivel until the end of time itself. Anyway, it could've been worse, I guess.

Firstly bc of the ep duration I feel like it could also stand as a movie without losing the pace of the story by changing to the next ep. The sceneries were amazing. So beautifully written by the camera that makes you to wanna visit the places. The music was magical and so calm. I'm sorry to say this, but the actors at many parts felt awkward and lacking of feeling when talking. The muted scenes reflected more feeling than the ones with dialogs. They need to work on that. The plot was okay, with the last ep to be the most interesting. Wouldn't rewatch it.

Fun Entertaining Watch

The story and characters got better with each episode such that I hope they continue with the main characters in a part 2. I thought there were a number of plot holes and open questions on how the universe worked, but because the story doesn't take itself too seriously and because of the character growth you don't care about those questions. At the end I was left wanting to see what happens next with these characters.

Quite a bit different from HYYH, but entertaining for the most part

These opinions are all my own and, as always, super glad others seemed to really love this take on HYYH. I personally didn’t, but not everything is going to be my cup of tea. Namjoon's story was my favorite in HYYH.

To start, Dogeon is an entirely different character from HYYH’s Namjoon. Dogeon's vibe was a lot more clean cut and he was was more of a rule follower than HYYH Namjoon. The iconic scenes from the Notes/MVs where he and Tae run away from the cops after getting caught spray painting seems like something Dogeon would never do. Most of the big events from his story don’t happen in this drama and he’s not given a ton of story on his own.

In order of who got the most story:
Haru, Jeha, Cein, Jooan, Hwan, Hosu, Dogeon comes in last.

Most of Dogeon and Hosu’s stories involve supporting other characters, but Hosu at least got the story with his narcolepsy and his mother abandoning him.

Namjoon’s closest relationship (and the most interesting one to me) was his relationship with Tae in the OG story. There’s more of a supportive relationship set up here with Jooan and Haru instead. Dogeon and Jooan’s story was colored negatively by the only scene in which Dogeon lets out his emotions and talks about hating that no one comforts him… is followed by him apologizing for “unloading” and Jooan abandoning him. End result: he still has no support system. That was perhaps the most heartbreaking aspect of his entire story. Dogeon is a character that exists to serve literally everyone else.

Every time it seemed we were finally giving him focus, it cut away to another character’s story without giving depth to his. His time in the hospital, the start of episode 12 before it cut to Jooan, and we don’t even get his personal thoughts in the aftermath of nearly being killed?? What was the nosebleed storyline? It was just dropped completely. Did the delivery boy story from the Notes happen here? Who knows?

The writers didn’t seem to be interested in Dogeon which made this drama less enjoyable overall for me, but I’m glad fans of other characters enjoyed it.

My general thoughts on everything else: it's entertaining for the most part. The episodes are long and you can feel it. I did enjoy the group scenes where they're all together, Cein's birthday party was my favorite group scene. Some of the acting in a few scenes was a bit cringy and choppy, but I don’t think that was the actors’ faults. I think the director should’ve made some different choices.

The best performances in my opinion were Hwan and Jooan’s. I thought those actors did a great job in their portrayals. Surprisingly, the relationships I found the most interesting (for however much we got to see of them) were Hwan & Dogeon and Hosu & Dogeon. I don’t remember any real interactions between Hosu and Dogeon (Hobi and Namjoon) in the OG story, so that was a pleasant surprise. Hwan and Dogeon were great together and I wished we got a lot more of that.

For Dogeon’s sake, I hope there’s another season because I really think he got the short end of the stick story wise. It seems like they were clearly setting up for another season and I read they supposedly filmed 24 episodes. It’d be nice if they could give Dogeon more, but I’ll always have the OG story that I enjoyed.

I’m glad others enjoyed this a lot more than I did.

The storyline did not surprise me at all. However, it was warm and relatable. I really enjoyed the portrayal of the characters. Despite the short script, the actors did a good job, to me. I love the fact that Zuho is really out there trying new things and different roles. He has the face and the body to be on screen.

CUTEST CUTIES TO EVER CUTIE!!!

Boys be brave.. You did it. MY CUTIES!!! I can't lie when I say they are SOOO cute and I can't believe its already ending. Everything was great from the acting to the music in some scenes. I wish it was longer, but it was great while it lasted!!

STORY:

Jung Ki Sub is Kim Jin Woos friend, if you can even call him that. His acquaintance at best. When Jung Ki Sub asks to stay at his place, and having no choice but to accept, how will Jin Woo be able to keep it all in when Ki Sub is his secret crush?

THOUGHTS:

Lets cut to it. As much as I'd LOOOOVEE to give this a 10/10, I just can't. Somethings.. Missing. First off, the second couple. I felt like the 2nd couples screen time was rushed. They gave JUST ENOUGH for me to understand what was going on. As much as I enjoy both of their visuals, if you're going to not give at least close to an equal amount of screen time, why include them? It felt like they had less screen time than a cameo in a drama. Secondly, the female character. I'm not saying that I hate her. Personally, she is such a cutie and I would have loved to seen more of her and I can understand her doing what she did, but its just the way she felt the need to be so upset with Ki Sub and even trying to ruin him and Jin Woos relationship. It might be reasonable, it might not be, but to me its kind of.. Crazy? I mean yeah, I may do something crazy to protect my friends, but if its in the past then it's in the past.

ANYWAYS. Now that we've gotten the bad out of the way, lets cut to the good!

Almost every scene between the two brought a smile to my face, the twos chemistry is BREWING!!! Everything from the staring into the eyes to even just giving him a keychain made me giggle. The communication? Lacking? NO! Although Jin Woo usually kept to himself, there was still such a bond between the two that made it a great dynamic. Speaking of the dynamic.. Jin Woo being like a black cat and Ki Sub a golden retriever?? AHHH!!! I might just pass out from cuteness!! Their pairing altogether is just GOLD. The warmth they could feel within each other🥹🥹 The way Ki Subs heart monitor would increase because of Jin Woo?? MY CUTIES!!!

In all, I love this SOOO MUCH. And other than the things I've mentioned, this drama was so cutie and I'd put my life on the line for Jin Woo and his cute expressions🫡

It deserves a chance.

I was shocked how much I got into this series and yes I know people just mention the inhercourse that goes on.
But there is alot more to it and a plot that if you focus on it you want to know more.
You have a group of boys who think they are finding love. There are alot of stories behind each character and it is worth looking for there story because it opens your eyes alot to what is going in and not just the sexual side of it

"A decade, is that a long time or no time at all?"

Going into The Last 10 Years there was no denying what type of movie I would be watching-a story about a young woman with a terminal illness based on a true story. But as with any genre, it’s how the story is implemented as to whether it touches you or not. The moment the director cues the violins and tries to manipulate my feelings, I tend to dig in and become resentful. This film was quite the opposite. While the music was emotional and lovely, the story slowly unfolded allowing the characters to make their way through decisions about life, death, relationships, and whatever the future means.

When Matsuri is in the hospital she is given a camcorder by a dying mother and admonished to, “Live every minute to the fullest.” That advice is hard to follow after she returns home and boredom overtakes her. Diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension her list of restrictions and medications is quite long. She goes to a middle school class reunion where no one knows about her illness and reconnects with old friends. The standard questions arise about marriage, children, and work. Kazuto, a boy she doesn’t remember, attempts to reach out to her. Kazuto has his own issues with life and death and before long, he, his friend Takeru, Matsuri and her editor friend, Sanae, begin to hang out. In the dark about her illness, Kazuto is clearly smitten but Matsuri has her daily grind with avoiding death to deal with as well as her loving but concerned family.

Matsuri and Kazuto both had their issues with life’s disappointments and whether death would be a tragedy or a gift. As they grew closer, both began to embrace life more. For Kazuto, the future held promise and an unknown amount of time. For Matsuri, tomorrow was always in question knowing her time was imminently finite. No one gets out of this life alive, but for Matsuri, that harsh reality faced her every day. I was happy there was no countdown clock as if the 10 years prognosis was ironclad. The median life expectancy for someone with PAH is 5 years. Each crisis she faced could have been her last. The film didn’t throw roadblocks into her relationship with Kazuto just for the standard effect. Matsuri not only had to take Kazuto’s feelings into consideration but her own as well. She did what she needed to do to be strong enough to face death.

Komatsu Nana gave a beautifully nuanced performance as Matsuri. Layers of emotions peeled forward and back as she portrayed Matsuri dealing with her day-to-day struggles with Death hanging over her shoulder. Ever aware of her parents’ pain, she put a mask on for them most of the time and for her friends. When the dam finally broke and her fears and disappointments rolled over her, Komatsu’s performance was raw and real. Ever cautious with Kazuto so as not to get too close, but staying close enough to bask in his warmth, you could feel the walls she kept carefully erected. And finally, as Matsuri’s body began to collapse, the slow acknowledgement of a clock ticking down.

Far from being maudlin, The Last 10 Years was an exercise in living well and making the most of life regardless of circumstances. Whatever Matsuri gained-a relationship, a job, a friendship, she was always aware how close she was to losing them. Yet she still found the strength to try. She was searching for meaning and just the simple experiences of living. I was here. I lived. I loved. And in her strength, she gave Kazuto a love for life as well.

“My life might look like just another boring existence but you’ll always be with me.”

I don't understand the fuss about this show .. it was boring

After reading a lot of comments and reviews I started watching the show ... But I don't think it is worth the hype ... Richard was the only good thing about this show ..story sucked . . FL character sucked ..her acting sucked ... Momentum of the plot sucked ... It was surely not my cup of tea ... The worst thing was the dimwit FL even if I ignore the cringe dialogue still overall character was pathetic .. she is sort of an undercover agent yet she has no sense of entering a place stealthily... She just walks like a stupid person right in the middle of hall ... Worst undercover agent in history ... Please stop writing such retard female lead characters ...women can play better undercover agents why tf do these writers turn them so cliche and cringe ... Pfft!!!

The fangirl inside me is screaming right now

I love that shows are bringing back fangirls what they want. As a former Wattpad writer of One Direction Fanfics, I can say I'm totally pleased with this drama. It has everything, cuteness, laugh out loud moments, the handsome 2m tall cute boyfriend. It's like someone made the wish I had when I was 13 years old come true.

If you used to (or still) fangirl like crazy over boybands, actors, or anything. Go ahead, this is your show. Don't expect anything else.

Enjoy!

Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda as Taylor Swift says

This show was a great promise from the trailers on Netflix. I loved how they tried to showcase that sometimes happy endings aren't the marriage itself. I laughed out loud with the first episodes, Kim Soo Hyun is an amazing actor, and if they had led him interpret the character as he did with the improvised scenes he pulled off, the character would have made so much sense.

I loved it at the first episodes because it brought the sitcom factor into a kdrama that is not often seen in romantic genres. I would have enjoyed it so much if they left it that way and didn't start all the unnecessary drama plot lines that threw off attention from the actual problem, the marriage between the leads.

Started it for the comedy but finished it because of the crush I have on Kim Soo Hyun, take it or leave it.

A lost plot-painful to watch

This show was just wow i was flabbergasted by the levels of absurdity that they were willing to go. Two worlds was a great premise to potentially riveting show however somehow it all went to Potts!! All the right ingredient were there but poor port execution, direction, screen writing and acting .

From poor acting from or sexy leads to stories that didn’t make sense- diseases that can be managed by poop berries, snake bites from nowhere, loose ends and I DONT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN WITH HOW BAD THIS SHOW IS.

I had high hopes for MAX AND NAT i have been a fan since they started but this show takes the cake. THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING better. Nat can cry and thats pretty much it.

MAX appears to be one dimensional he is the same guy in naughty babe, cutie pie and now this show. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU watch because it will either make you laugh with how ridiculous it is or cry

I recorded this movie in my heart.

This movie is made in such a way that if it has not even happened to you or you have not been wronged, you will notice the damage that has been done to this girl and you will feel it. At one point, an officer said that maybe it is not like this for us, but they are teenagers, and yes, it means Everything is honest and loyal, a huge love has been shown in the boy's face, he wanted the girl to experience things or dreams that he didn't have, even his heart wanted to die and let her live, and it would be nice to have such people in our lives now. They don't exist or they are few. I wish movies weren't just for watching and forgetting, and we could change our behavior. I recorded this movie in my heart.

ML is good but can't be compared with Legend like Jim Carry

concept of drama come from Jim carry's movie
and ML was doing really good with his acting and still doing Great
thus i give story less and acting More points
concept of ML character is inspire from Hollywood movie Lier Lier (1997)
but it doesn't have any story after 2 episodes or they don't wanted to write one themselves
so they practical copy script from Love is for suckers {{ Choi Si Won and Lee da hee }}
FL casted her friend on a dating show then she herself got involved with him, to add some spice they have SML and
a first Love common between whole universe( she is first love of everyone) don't had budget to cast other first loves for side character so they have to share first love
ML is acting Good and his character is weird but its weird not hot, I don't understand this Females in drama who cling on to someone who doesn't give a fish about them,
SML dude move on, you are far better off,,, Find your SUNSHINE CHOI SU YEON in this drama
Story doesn't have that which make you wait for next Episode,
its 4th episode and Love triangle is already cleared up, ML and FL
only love triangle i apricated in dramas was
EMPRESS KI, Goryeo king vs Yuan Emperor
