It was a little off and then IT WAS ON !

The plot seems a little tacky and clumsy at first when there wasn't enough background info (intended; yet didn't do a good job to secure the audiences' attention and understanding) and the way Pisaeng developed affection for Kawi was too easy (but that's how love works). Despite that, from around episode 4 onwards, the plot made total sense and was very logical (if the audiences are logical and empathetic enough to undersand the writing). It became real, sympatheticable and understandable.
I especially love how the series targeted multiple points of philosophy and humanitarianism. It was just right (not overdone), impactful and digestable. I was given a chance to look at multiple new aspects of life through the writing. Also, the couple's progress through friendship and love was so interesting and so cute. They actually built a realistic and believable love progress, no big gestures, no going out of boundaries and I absolutely respect that because love stories in real life aren't majestic.
However, the only plot hole I find to be brain-itching is the time traveling of Pisaeng. On episode 12, He traveled back to the day he first turned the globe in Kawi's room when they had just received acceptance from Pisaeng's mom. So on his first try with the globe, where did he go ? What did he experience ? How did he feel ? Did he affect anything in the past and the future ? So...that took down a point.
Despite all that, i praise the two main actors heavily ! They kept it real and made it lively. I fell in love with the chemistry between them and cried for them when they fell apart. The two really delivered a prominent yet dilemmatic love.
All in all, this series will probably not be the best of this year but will definitely feed your soul well so i recommend you watching it.

It was weird

It felt like a japnese anime like those hrem type with pace of storyline put at Max and still make sense why because it's funny and enjoyable. It felt like something that is too non sensitical that it becomes funny or most to most entertainment. If it had more length of episodes and budget then I can surely say that it would have been nominated for "Best comedy drama of 2023" but still it can or I think it should atleast get famous for best mini series. For it to make such a enjoyable drama for just one sponsor and gosh I don't know low of budget it till gives a one heck of a ride.
Overall it's good as a time pass and more than that at your point of view so in my recommendation if you even have little bit thought or feeling of cheking this series out then do it, I can surely say that you are not gonna waste your time.

What a shame

I tortured myself till episode 12 because I didn't want to believe that this drama could get worse and worse. I love Bai Lu, she's a superb actress and she even tried to give some facial expressions to this disappointing role. It's embarrassing to watch her in such a self-depreciating story. What a shame. An actress of her caliber should be able to choose her roles. The main lead Wang Hedi carried the same expression - his Godfather-like mafia boss nothing can touch me face - throughout all episodes trying to sprinkle in a slight movement of half of his lips probably symbolizing a smile, usually when his character had trapped the FL in one of his misogynist plots. In general I can see a slide in the new modern popular C-dramas towards more powerful men, just being rich and vengeful and more and more FL roles giving the impression of being very youn, inexperienced, cuuute, dependent and dumb. Once again what a pity !!!

Super

I’ve watched this movie 3 times, I think it great, all the actors , strong male lead ( handsome and sassy co- lead gal, very pretty)…super, a tad of dirt on the floor… this will happen.
Really nice to see the sassy one is accredited with tons of smarts and can deliver… I see so many movies that the female in lead position is either so timid or shown as totally dumb … it’s very refreshing to see a sassy, communicative, heart included in the role . The script dictates, but a rethink may be a positive, just a nice thought. Many thanks to the actors and writers.

Keeps you at edge of your seat!

One night stand goes totally wrong! I'm glad that I watched this despite some of the nasty comments. It's SO good I finished binge-ing it in one day and now fully awake in middle of night lol That's how thrilling it is! Each episode keeps me on the edge

First few episodes have funny moments with some of the jokes by the lawyer, just the little quirky thing he did
I am a huge fan of the savage lawyer, both of them. The woman is pure and speak from the heart while the male layer is just damn funny, smart and cool. Also, he really spoke from the heart in last episode

That female prosecutor is a real bitch from beginning, like literally she has RBF. Even up till end of episode, she is still taking credit by saying how they did the work, no bitch, you didn't! But, at least, she did one thing right by not closing an eye eventually

My heart breaks for what the ML has to go through, really. Though it's amazing how he toughen up from a crybaby to somewhat a man lol...

Overall, its really thrilling and engaging. I love it a lot.

Gist...I love the dynamics of everything, the bromance inside and outside cell, all beautifully done

One of the best modern cdramas ever

If you love slow burn romance, witty characters, a compelling story, beautiful cinematography, talented actors and characters that always stay true to themselves throughout the whole drama, Rising With The Wind is perfect for you.

I loved everything about this show.
The story is different from other recent cdrama, the relationship between the main leads is entertaining and not boring at all. You’ll feel sad, happy, passionate, everything.

The camera shots and the cinematography are so beautiful and they capture perfectly each scene and emotion.

And yes, the chemistry between the main leads went through the roof. They truly were amazing in showing Xu Si and Jiang Hu true personalities and emotions.

It’s definitely a must watch.

If you like the enemy's to lovers trope, it's definitely for you.

This series is forever in my heart and my favorite series. The acting that First and Khaotung gave us was truly fantastic, as was their chemisty. After just the first episode, the series had me hooked and I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen.
The story was build each episode and got me excited, until the very end and because you wanted to know who was behind everything.
The Eclipse took up serious topics and conveyed them well, which I really liked. I could feel each emotion, as if it was my own. The lead actors were truly amazing, everything felt normal and I sometimes forgot, that they were acting. I simply fell in love with their acting and chemistry, because it was off charts!
All in all a masterpiece, which the two of them conveyed brilliantly, I couldn't have imagined anyone better for the roles!!!!!

Worst of Worst

I mean how can a writer be that dumb that he/she show the MC as side character .The most of the time and story revolve around the mom only.Hear are the some poins that i realy hate in this drama.
1) The Story is so basci that i can predict what will happen in next scean not only that i can predict others episodes also
2) The MC is good but because of writer worst writing i hate her.
3) Means in drama the mom is so rich that the batman is nothing compare to her and she also behave like batman she has a bike a blackdress just like batman means, the writer was writhing the show while watching the movie The Batman and he/she thins that i should aslo develop a charater that is aslo like batman but i will change the gender and will make worst of it .
4) The mc uses the power without hiding it,using every time and not using her brain for a second.
5)The mom loves the most her girl chid but okay okay with son child

Rollercoaster Family Relations on the Farm

The beginning episodes made me wonder if there was any love in this family but still I was entertained with this drama through all the plotting, selfishness and blatant favouritism.

I liked the FL’s cheerful personality and her never- give-up attitude despite being plotted against so many times. Her character was well written to be someone smart with a heart of gold and she played it beautifully. Her chemistry with the ML was a joy to watch and the way they looked at each other made my heart melt more than the few kisses that they shared.

For all the evil plotting that the FL’s cousin did to her, it was a bit of a let down to not have her realisations fleshed out better and for her to give a meaningful apology to the FL.

One of the best moments for me was when the FL knew she would be exiting the game and she went around silently saying her farewells to everyone. Lovely music that made her expressions even more touching.

I’m a little bit lost at the very end. The FL exited the game as she and the ML were approaching each other. She was shown to be back in the real world but then, the scene cuts to being back in the game where both of them talking and having a sweet moment together as if she didn’t exit the game… if the drama had provided some explanation of how this happened, it would have given me better happy ending vibes.

A Rollercoaster of Emotions - My Dearest Review

"My Dearest" kicks off in an extraordinary fashion, immediately grabbing the audience's attention with a gripping and immersive first half. The intriguing plot and well-developed characters promise an unforgettable television experience. However, while the initial part of the series is a triumph, the latter half presents some challenges that diminish the overall impact.

The plot seems to undergo excessive acceleration in the second half, with numerous moments feeling rushed. This could be attributed to a desire to keep pace with the drama or swiftly resolve narrative entanglements. Unfortunately, this choice significantly affects the story's coherence and the depth of character development.

The final episode, in particular, leaves a bitter taste. The conclusion, perhaps dictated by the need to tie up all narrative threads hastily, lacks the satisfaction one would expect after such a promising start. Fans would likely have preferred a more nuanced and less hurried resolution.

Another aspect that might have influenced the second part of the series is the king's obsession, a theme that, in my opinion, was dealt with excessively heavily. This element risked overshadowing other aspects of the plot, leaving less room for the development of other storylines and making the entire experience somewhat monotonous.

In summary, "My Dearest" starts with brilliance that captures the viewer's heart, but the second half of the series introduces a series of rushes and questionable narrative choices. The final episode, in particular, falls short of expectations, leaving the feeling that the series could have offered much more. Despite these shortcomings, enthusiasts may still find value in the series, especially if they are willing to overlook some narrative stumbles.

It spirals out of control

Truth be told, the high rating is only because I adore the leads. They have beautiful chemistry, oh so smooth, which is why it sucks that the story barely focused on them.

Every single character but Boss and Tob probably had more screentime, and I wouldn't really say it helped the story. Over the top acting, stilted dialogue, they couldn't get it right. There are plenty of dramas that depict unfettered chaos in the form of chaotic characters and situations like We Are Both Grooms and We Are Gamily, but despite the premise being similar it didn't hit the same. The runtime is of course not quite enough, but there are ways to make it more enjoyable.

Despite the drawbacks, it is a short enough series where the chemistry between the leads shines even with their minimal screentime. They need another series because watching this will make you want to watch (or rewatch) Destiny Seeker

Best I've seen

I didnt see this until 2023 and I think this is my favorite so far. Binged it in one because I could not wait to see what would happen the next episode.

Park Ji Hoon is incredible in this series. He has such an amazingly expressive face, especially his eyes. He absolutely carries it and the reason I also then watched 'from a distance spring is green.'

The reluctant between Si Eun, Soo Ho and Beom Seok is wonderful, they have great chemistry and their acting is very strong in this series. Soo Ho brings some much needed comic relief at times. It makes the heartbreak even worse for what happens in the end. The last two episodes are an emotional rollercoaster and I cried like a baby.

Absolutely worth the watch, just keep tissues at hand.

The tragedy of a hero lies not in their own downfall but in the impact it has on those who love them

Mysterious Lotus Casebook is a drama that I didn't expect to like as much as I did, and it's not because I expected the story not to be good, but because I haven't watched something as captivating as this in a long time. I finished 40 episodes in 3-4 days (and it would've been sooner had I not had other responsibilities). The story is not perfect. It follows Li Lian Hua and Fang Duo Bing, who in search of answers for something that happened 10 years ago and caused two biggest sects of martial arts world to collapse, become detectives and solve a myriad of cases. Now, the cases could've been better, I'm not gonna lie. Both the investigation part and the crime part. Many of them were kinda far-fetched and hard to believe and the investigation consisted mostly of characters just looking around the crime scene and miraculously figuring everything out. There was no real suspense. However, what I did like were bits and pieces of the overarching story that could be found in these individual cases. The answers to the question of what happened 10 years ago that caused Li Lian Hua's world to collapse around him.

Other thing I loved were the characters, especially the 3 MLs. Their stories were complex and their relationship was so interesting.
Li Xiang Yi, the young genius and prodigy who stood at the top of martial arts world before he even turned 20, eager to prove himself, arrogant and stubborn, but also incredibly kind and righteous, turned into Li Lian Hua, a sickly wandering doctor who pretends not to know how to fight, who is sly and incredibly intelligent, but also aloof and distant. What I really enjoyed the most was the contrast between the two, and his attempts to hide his identity from the people from his past, from his girlfriend, his friends and his enemies. His attempts to hide his identity from Fang Duo Bing, who idolizes Li Xiang Yi and sees him as his master and doesn't believe he died 10 years ago. Even though in Li Lian Hua's mind, Li Xiang Yi was responsible for everything bad that happened 10 years ago, even though he blamed himself for all the deaths and the downfall of his own sect and he wanted to forget about Li Xiang Yi existence and let go of his past life, he couldn't completely distance himself from his old life. Every time we got a glimpse of old Li Xiang Yi my heart fluttered.

Cheng Yi who played Li Xiang Yi/Li Lian Hua was perfect for this role. He really managed to portray all sides of this complex character. His youthful arrogance, incredible martial arts skills, later jadedness, sorrow and sickness. The peace with which he accepted his own fate. He really knows how to play tragic characters.
I won't go too deep into other two characters, but I'll say that I loved their relationship with ML. Even Di Fei Sheng who at first shows up as an antagonist turns out to be very likable and his friendship with other two is so fun and full of ups and downs.
Fang Duo Bing's care for Li Lian Hua, who is battling with the poison for 10 years and seems like he doesn't care about his own life, was touching. Their confrontation after he finds out Li Lian Hua's real identity was also touching. The antagonism between him and Di Fei Sheng was fun, as was the rivalry between Di Fei Sheng and Li Xiang Yi. If nothing else, this drama is worth watching just for the relationship/bromance between these 3.

Another thing that this drama did well were action scenes. Fighting and sword dancing (really, can't use any other word for what Li Xiang Yi did with his sword) were amazing. All 3 MLs are incredible fighters and seeing them in action was amazing.

The music was good. It wasn't as memorable as in some other dramas, but it was adequate.

ENDING SPOILER:

The ending was also satisfying. All the bad guys got what they deserved, MLs managed to solve the mystery and save the world, and Li Lian Hua's fate was left open. Did he die or not? I don't know. They gave me just enough to feed my delusions so I believe he survived and managed to cure himself.

Wonderful watch

I really enjoyed this series. It's a very interesting plot that makes you contemplate what it means to be human and at what point would you start seeing/treating AI as such. Also what place they could possibly hold in society.

Thsi was also my first introduction into Seo Kang Joon. He played Nam Shin 3 with such innocense and heart that you really start to feel for him, even though he is 'just' an AI robot.

First I was worried for the ending, because K-drama's usually have 'realistic' ending where regular westerns shows mostly have a romantic ending. It was realistic, but still enough to satisfy the romantic in me. Absolutely worth a (re)watch.

2nd lead syndrome

I absolutely LOVE period series. the clothing and landscape/style just captures me and keeps me engaged. Unfortunately in the beginning the main male lead (played by Kim Young Dae, whom I adore) is less than likable and in contrast the 2nd lead (played by Kim Woo Seok) is absolutely delightful and wonderful. He made me fall for Lee Shin Won and in later episodes, though Lee Heon does make a turn around, there was no possible way to switch my allegiance.

Because you know that she's meant to end up with Lee Heon I stopped watching, because at that point in my mind she was going to end up with the 'wrong' guy. Not since True Beauty have I seen a series that suffers from 2nd lead syndrome this hard.
