Fumbles the basics

If there is a theme that has trod a well worn path in recent dramas, it is the wronged-in-a-prior-Joseon-era-life-reincarnated-to-seek-revenge setup. Certainly, some of the most recent productions have left room to improve on this plot but "Moon in the Day" never approaches doing anything remotely competently.

There's some shoddy special effects during a fire scene.

The flashbacks to Joseon era are tedious and circle over the same plot points repeatedly.

These flashbacks would be more of a distraction if the modern era scenes were any more compelling but, oy, those aren't much better.

The supporting cast is not great. Even the usually reliable Lee Joon Hyuk is cast as a humorless agency fixer and it's not a good fit.

Pyo Ye Jin is somehow supposed to be both an asskicking firefighter and a stereotypical helpless damsel in alternating scenes.

One or two of these flaws aren't fatal. Even all of them together might have made just been annoyances. But there's simply no way that any show can succeed with a lead as badly acted as Kim Young Dae does here. He can certainly crush the petulant, lazy narcissist that present day Han Jun Oh is. But then he's possessed by the spirit of the Joseon era warrior and it is hard to imagine a worse pairing of character and actor than this one. Taciturn? Grizzled? Intense? Nope. Nope. Nope.

So, there's nothing new plot-wise, it's choppily directed, alongside an uninspiring cast and there's not much left that can possibly turn it around for the show. Not recommended.

Simple Pining Love Story

**Brief Synopsis**
B (Employee): Phumjai
T (Boss): Yang

- Beginning: B and T work at the same convenience store with them also being business partners. T owns the store and B owns shares. T is chinese so when B needs to learn chinese to flirt with a girl, he goes to T. The more time they spend together, the more attracted T is to B and wishes they could be more. In the name of helping him get the girl, they go on dates so B will know what it's like to be on a date. By that point, it is obvious that B is also attracted to T but hasn't realized his own feelings yet and is still hung up on the girl. However, when he is on the date with the girl, he keeps thinking about T.

- Middle: B confesses that he keeps thinking about T when he is on the date and T, thinking this is B telling him he liked him, kisses B and B freaks out. He runs away and spends the next few episodes avoiding T, which hurts T deeply. After a while, B finally realizes that he actually likes T and gets together with him. They are happy for a while until T's past catches up to him. It is revealed that T is actually hiding from creditors. Realizing they've finally caught up to him, T breaks up with B, tells him he has no feelings for him and was only joking, in order to protect him. At first B doesn't believe if but when T starts acting like that, B slowly gives up, even deciding to give up his shares and leave the store.

- End: Just as B was leaving, T realizes that he'll probably lose the best thing in his life and goes to stop him and begs for him to stay. B, still in love with him, didn't ask for any apologies before accepting him and they get intimate in the store. Later on, T explains to B what was actually going on and B promises to be with him every step of the way. The story ends with them still in love and opening a company together.

**My Opinion**

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:
- The actors playing B and T. Their chemistry was amazing and their interactions were cute and sweet. They also do a great job in portraying the affection between the characters.
- I really like the foreplay/flirting. B's reactions are very cute as well.
- The characters are very likeable despite each having their own flaws.
- The writing is okay. The story flows well despite the plot being very weak as all the attention is put on the development of their relationship. The story does well in portraying its bittersweet aspect. It's shot really well and we can really feel T's pain when he has to support B in getting the girl he wants when he wants B for himself.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT:
- Plot as a whole is ok but there aren’t any plot twists or memorable moments. It is however a very cliche and predictable plot.
- Use of lack of communication and misconceptions as source of angst is overdone. A lot of issues would have been resolved if B and T just talked to each other. T made the universal mistake of making B's decision for him, not even giving him the chance to stay with him. Because of this, T hurt B deeply. I felt that B forgive T too easily but I guess that's because B was desperate for a reason to stay and didn't care about the pain T put him through. The fact that T has given up on B so easily and had to wait until B was leaving to wake up makes me question the sincerity of his feelings.
- Acting is okay overall but there are some scenes that are awkward and some reactions can seem unatural. The scene where B finds out T has been kidnapped, the reaction looks very unatural; the actor failed to communicate the character's worry to the audience.
- The intimate scenes are relatively tame with focus on kissing.

**Conclusion**
An OK watch but probably won’t be revisiting.

It's AMAZING

This Drama is UNDERATED.
When i watched the first two episodes, I wanted to drop it, but im happy i didn't!
The acting is just AMAZING and the chemistry i fricking INTENSE!
The romantic scenes were amazing and the actors looked like an real couple! Someone could say that mizuki was kinda toxic, but I liked his role a really much and i think he and his serious face were really suitable!
The story was interesting and i wasnt bored even once!
I was actualy really scared that there will be too much nsfw or drama (i hate love triangles), but it was more likely relaxing and all u could se were male leads!

I personaly REALLY liked it, I think i will rewatch it soon!! :)

worst romcom

When I first saw this drama I had very high expectation for this But when I started watching this all of my expectations were fall down in a pit . I am still thinking why they have to take these famous lead stars to act for a stupid script who does not have any sense .
I always like Bailu and Dylan Wang Dramas That's why I'm looking forward to this , But this drama shows a worst outcome which we can assume.
Story sounds like a 2015 story in which female lead wants to depend on the rich CEO , and this rich CEO Is always in his agnorant way .

Hollywood - The Mummy, Indiana Jones?

It’s Hollywood like drama!!
Love this series as it’s kind of different from all those romantic love story and it has a fantastic storyline, just enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended drama..

Main leads are great, really a right Female/Male leads they’d chosen. Love the FL, superb acting and she’s sooo cool with her face expression + her figure. Admired !! (Another good FL for this drama can be Zhao Liying will be fine too)
ML, not bad. His silence smile is so charming, attractive. Both their chemistry matched, love it!
Others supporting actors are great too.
Conclusion of the story acceptable although it’s still have a space that made you feel - you fix the ending! ?

Overall, no regret at all to watch this drama.
WATCH IT yourself…. Enjoooy!!

This Drama is Intense, it’s edge of your seat heart pounding!

Whew! okay this was insane! I’m so proud of myself for finishing it because it’s very dark drama with some heavy content. it’s not for the faint of heart, if you have triggers, best avoid this drama. now it’s was absolutely amazing! the actors did an incredible job with this, they really showed how talented they are. let’s be real i watched this drama for WooDoHwan, seoyeaji and taecyeon. And they really did a fantastic job with their performances. but i was sooooo not prepared for how scary this drama was. it’s about a family that’s bad luck land them in middle of a a religious cult, and the terrifying things going on behind the scene are unthinkable. I was riddled with anxiety! The boys have such a wonderful relationship, I loved their friendship and my heart bled so much for dong-chug and everything he endured. this show really gave me an upset stomach but whew, I made it and loved the ending!

Cute but also frustrating

The pairing for this BL is really cute and they have insane chemistry (as most Taiwanese BL partners do). The story started off really promising, but I did find myself really tired of the cat and mouse episode to episode, especially in the last few. I just wanted them to be together. I also didn't like how dumb they made Shunyu out to be, when it came to Shang Zhou's feelings (and his own). So, that kind of took a few stars away for me personally.

All in all, the actors here deserve another BL and I hope we get to see them in another series with a better story.

the plot of the story

i really loved this drama. it gives a warm vibe. in every ep which is they talk about father, i cried, really. anyway, i really recommended twinkling watermelon drama to people who love to watch warm vibe drama, the skills of the acting so great, i laughed every ep. in my opinion eungyeol and eunyu dont have a couple chemestry, cause eunyu look a little bit older than eungyeol, they suit as a sister and younger brother. but to yichan and chungha they have a solid chemestry that i cant denied. it come neutrally makes me loved their chemestry. but fr the actors acting is 100% solid. i love their acting so much. i cursed at the end of 15 ep. i cant wait for the last ep tomorrow. i hope the writer gives us a happy ending story, i hoped so. i really want their future change. but fr i cant understand to chungha father. fr i want to slap him cause like fr that he didnt notice that his daughter is suffering since kid. i was like, "bruh are you blind or what" FR i want to slap him, but its okay now he realize.

Mixed feelings

Like many others, I wish there was a "happy" ending but then realistically, how many relationships nowadays we would consider a "happy" ending relationship?

This drama went to the realistic direction, which is... there's no fairytale in our distracted, high-tech, arrogant , spoiled-young adults WORLD...

How can we really picture a famous rising singer would settle with someone like him? I did enjoy the ending where the ML understood that there was no way he could be in "her" world no matter how much "she" said that "it's doable." It would be TOO exhausting for this couple to believe that they "can" make effort and FIT into each other worlds. Eventually, one of them would find ways to disrespect the other person using ANY kinds of excuses to be bitter toward the other person. The ML wanted to save the BEST memories he had with her and let go while things are not bitter and exhausting yet.

This short drama will show you how easy it is to start a relatioship even though the FL is a superstar. But, to really keep a serious long-term relationship will be a torture when either one of them is going off-path/too fast in their careers. The ML lead needs the space to grow personally and professionally away from her because her world is too unrealistic for him.

While I LOVE the story and truly have enjoyed watching it from beginning to end, the acting and the shooting did not make me tear up. I guess it's not deep enough for me to feel the pain they are going through? When the ML cried, I felt something but then the camera was shooting from behind and not showing his crying scene. If you want to know what really got me crying like a baby, you should try watching "The Beauty Inside." Every single time I picture the ML (Lee Min Ki) crying scene gives me goosebumps and my heart gets this weak, cold feeling. Now, that would be a 10/10 rating.

Therefore, it's an 8/10. Definitely, the story is good for young adults. My favorite type of romance usually the leads are older (like early to mid 30s). Enjoy the show. It sweet and easy-going!!

How can you watch a drama with the ML being a rapist?

I watched 14 episodes, there are some inconsistencies. Like her old love suddenly stopping to care about her or even FL forgetting that those people in the palace who destroyed her life and her marriage, I still liked the actress' performance though and I was hoping that the story would get better. But from episode 14 onwards, ML's actions are no longer forgivable, he is an abuser and disgusting. He forced her to spend the night with him even though he knew she still loved someone else. They could have made a good revenge story but they did it, I wish I hadn't wasted my time watching 14 episodes. So don't watch it if you don't want to be traumatized.

L : The mirror of live and evil

Started this drama without any prior knowledge about the plot so I did not know what to expect. Mostly, trusted Shin Hakyun's acting as he always delivers the characters and so far, I really enjoyed watching his dramas ─ ‍and Evilive was not an exception. So, I'm glad to not miss it as not only I enjoyed watching how the storyline and characters' developments unfold but also discovered new talented acting people.

While I must admit the story is not completely new or unique, it surely delivered its own twists and perspectives. For me, what made it really good drama to watch was acting. Not only main roles but also side characters showed good acting skills and pulled you into the story. The portrayal of dynamics was phenomenal. However, I have to admit Shin Hakyun and Kim Youngkwang truly stole the spotlights with their portrayals of their characters.

Throughout the 10 episodes, we saw how human greed works through characters, how they change and how someone can welcome their inner demons with a tempting whisper from a criminal and suppressed anger. The shift in personality was too realistic and it was nice to watch the constant moving between the grey and dark area throughout character development.

Also wanted to point out how it took me a while to notice there is only one L in Evilive because the letter is acting as a mirror. Evil and Live spell each other backwards, and L is both the door and mirror ─ ‍which is such a witty name. It perfectly represents the story and characters.

I'm glad I didn't miss this drama and gave it a chance ─ ‍and I definitely recommend it.

So much going on without anything actually happening.

While I wouldn't say this was bad, it really lacked in a lot of ways for me.

This was all over the place as far as storyline, as if the writer or director or someone just couldn't decide on what story did they want to tell. Was it a university drama? Was it a countryside drama? Was it a rich boy/poor boy drama? Was it a workplace drama? Was it a winning-over-an-opposing-parent drama? No one knows because this series had ALL of that at some point.

And that's all just withing the main couple. Then there are secondary couples that tackle secret crushes, questioning sexual identity, using someone to get closer to someone else, violence rumors, school bullying and the list goes on and on and on..

Yet, with all of this going on, there seemed to be a serious lack of development between the couples / characters. It played almost more like a sit com where every episode was a standalone thing and there MAY be a hint or undertone of slight progression of relationships. But the constant change of story direction made it hard to get invested in which is unfortunate because they could have had a solid series if they just focused on one thing and did it well.

i have rewatched this three times

literally the epitome of kdrama, the poor girl bad family rich cold guy, cohabition, um age gap is a bit weird to me but like this is an old drama so i’m not being too critical on that, cliche tropes left and right, cringey scenes and lines, absolute banger OST, watch if you like cliche dramas with a good looking cast. so cringe but i loved it because of that i had my ex boyfriend (boyfriend at the time) and younger sister watch it with me and they both actually really liked it (just get past episode like 2 or 3 and it gets a lot better).

Light hearted and Slice of Life

This drama is light-hearted and has a good romance score. I enjoyed the chemistry the actors shared. The story was engaging more or less. The female leads did an excellent job as I could actually feel their agony and emotions. At some levels, this drama tends to be relatable in a few lines.

Let's talk about where it fell short.
Although in some places I felt that the story was predictable as all kdramas pulling out their usual cards, what intrigued me the most was the psychology of the male lead. I felt he could do better acting cause at some points I expected more emotion as in some places he was fake trying to keep it within. His complex character is what kept this drama's storyline different from the rest. But he served the best visuals and did look good when he was angry xD.
Aside from that the ost was good. In some places the cut scenes were random, there few flaws here and there but this drama is old so that's acceptable.

All in all, it's a good drama if you're looking for a good cozy romance to divert your mind to, but at the same time it makes you think about how people behave and have different battles in their lives that result in their actions, especially the complex character of the male lead separates this drama from the rest.

probably wouldn’t rewatch, but not a bad drama

loved the chemistry between the two mains, plenty of drama of course, didn’t love the push and pull (it was a little excessive to be honest), in terms of music i liked the like one singular song that played throughout the dramatic parts of the show it got stuck in my head often, i really wish they had just made this into like a movie or something instead of making 10 minute episodes, FL could be a little annoying, but still loved how the actress did i cant imagine how difficult it must have been to keep her eyes so still when she can see in real life, yeah it’s a bit cringey and cliche, but still a cute show and had really cute kiss scenes. still a little confused about the end and the end seemed a bit rushed but oh well it was a short drama so i didn’t expect it to be super in depth
