MOST AWAITED SEQUEL to WORST MADE SEQUEL

I’m gonna keep this brief and to the point-

1. The mother gets more screentime than the actual FL.
2. ML is boring af and has no chemistry with FL.
3. Villain is 10x more attractive, has an actual interesting backstory & had more chemistry with FL.
4. Nobody gaf about the police officer being dr*gged for 10+ episodes.
5. Nobody also gaf about the grandma's love-story.
6. Storyline sucks. It had so much potential and they could’ve taken advantage to make it more interesting.
7. Only good thing was Bongsoon & Minhyuk's cameo (+villain).

Give this drama a chance ..

This drama might not be for everyone but I absolutely loved it.If you’re into cute ,goofy ,crime type of dramas this is for you .
The FLs acting was cute,ML was okay , The mom was okay, and I definitely fell in love with the grandma..She made me enjoy the show the most .The villain acted so perfectly,I forgot he was supposed to be the bad dude. The acting was great ,everything came together beautifully
For the story,it wasn’t anything deep ,but it was interesting. The show started off nicely,I love how they didn’t drag the first episode .Everything was straight to the point as it should be .Id say the story was well written .first 12 episodes had me laughing and smiling

Leads had a cute relationship ,The grandmas relationship got me smiling throughout .And I loved the relationship between the villain and the FL .I liked how he wasn’t lonely anymore and actually had someone..
What I disliked about the drama , the last 4 episodes had me forwarding .I felt so wronged for the villain ,I mean he was the bad person ,but he didn’t deserve to be used by the FL .Had me feeling sad .He deserved a better ending

All in all the last episode ended well ,brought back my smiles and laughter. Its a cool drama..I think it deserves a good rating.A 9/10 for me because I absolutely loved the first 12 episodes and they ended the last episode on a good note.

This is the 2nd worse kdrama I watched this year. Just bad. I am not comparing to Strong Woman b/c I never saw it. I literally started watching this b/c of the short youtube videos of Si-O. I love a good looking guy, villian even better (that's my jam). I actually thought the 1st three episodes were fairly good even with some of the shenanigans going on.

The reason this show is terrible is the writing. Period, point blank. A show can be an over the top comedy/fantasy/drama. That doesn't mean the writing gets to be bad and the audience has to accept the many inconsistency in the story. The plot still has to be logical and reasonably entertaining but this wasn't. There were way too many unnecessary characters and too many unnecessary subplots.

This was the worst, non-climatic ending to a villian I have ever seen!! I didn't expect Si-O to do a complete 180, that makes no sense. But to not have an epic, all out fight scene with the "hero" and the villian was just plain stupid and Namsoon being immobilized by drugs doesn't count. They litterally end the villain and then there were 40 more minutes of show left. A show that, at this point no one cared about.

The best thing about this show is Byeon Woo Seok. That's it.

the female lead... eyeroll OMG

I'm almost speechless!!!! I can't even with the actress that has the role of female lead.
I just can't!! She always has look on her face that she's dumbstruck. Or even dare I say
she looks like a lost dog. Or like her itty bitty feelings have been hurt. I loved her in the role
she had in Taxi Driver but this kind of role just UGH is just not right for her.
The male lead I have no complains about or any of the other cast as they are
doing a great job but this isn't something that'd watch again.

The purpose for TV Shows, Series and Movies is entertainment…

I throughly enjoyed every episode, the diverse characters and all their flaws, the ups and downs the laugh out loud moments. What a wild ride.. I understood the value of compassion, second chances and accountability. I will rewatch a few episodes in case I missed something. If you enjoy flicks for entertainment value please watch, it’s worthy of a rewatch, I never watch shows with intent to see the same storyline with different characters. Bong Soon was awesome however I never expected Nam Soon to be a repeat. My only disappointing moment was Ryu Shi-Oh death. I don’t look for the deep meanings of life in Entertainment.. just great dialogue, a few puns, tears and popcorn moments.

VIVA LA VIDA!!!

Ikik there were many new kdramas of this year that are amazing. but this isn't just a k drama. while watching it, it wasn't just the subtitles i read, but also the emotions i could relate to. the story isn't all about romance and 'I like it. it's balanced.
in perfect words, explains how life of genz is.childrens tned to misunderstand thier parents and parents tend to do the same. but then in the end parents wants it for thier children's good and children's wishes for thier parents happiness too.

there were many and many things portrayed veryy well in this drama. absolutely twinkling. the cast, ost, acting, story. everything was just perfect. i like how the writers tried to make the time travel realistic by not changing yi Chan's deafness.other than this too their were many things that were thought of beautifully.

everyday i had thoughts of what had happen next. the amount of attached i was to this drama is just... unexplainable. it's just beautifully portrayed and amazingly written. a comfort drama indeed.

A drama I'd like to rewatch again.

Some of the best emotional scenes EVER!

I'm late to the party as this drama is over 10 years old. Excellent story. The drama happens in the middle and towards the end. It is definitely worth the roller coaster of emotions. The female lead was annoying in that her character was portrayed as caring and gentle but some of her actions proved otherwise. Each character came into their own realizations and awakenings except the female lead no matter what she faced. I loved the male lead's character revolution. He is amazing in this... I never cried so much. The child star also! This is definitely one to watch. I wish it would have stayed in the original 21 episodes...34 episodes is dragging on a little too long. Be prepared for the editing inserts during the show.

NOT WORTH THE HYPE ?

people put too much hype into a show like this, first the storyline was just messy and boring at the end only due to most peoples bae ryeo sio but i didnt even bother watching last 2 episodes so ill tell you its not worth it please stick to the original show the spinoff sucks😭😭
i hated the fact that all this season was about just more koreas how drugs are bad for you sort of thing including that so many instances where they talked about having kids ( koreas population problems which they wanna fix) like the whole plot couldv been so much kore interesting if they made the antagonist the male lead wouldv been much more fun and they had more chemistry, the female lead and sio gosh plus the screen time too but with the male lead hes just “the good guy” so ofc he would end up with her with barely any chemistry and screentime together (ill even say that he had more chemistry with FL’s mom 😭 ridiculous but seemed like that) and sio just proclaimed as the “bad guy” throughout and how you cant be forgiven for doing drugs and blah blah. I feel like this season was just Korea, trying to put their whole thing out for the korean public. all in all this season was boring i havent even finished ep 15 and 16 but eveyone just stick to the ACTUAL show.

This was a good wuxia story that inserted frequent attempts to manipulate the audiences emotions that seemed awkward and misplaced. Sadly between that and queuing up the cheesy music every few minutes really broke up the momentum for me. Excellent costumes, martial arts and traditional wuxia theme but forced unnatural over the top emotive scenes in order to appeal to a wider audience were completely unnecessary and caused it to drag excessively. This could have had a similar level of appeal as say Snow Sword Stride which didn't need to rely on people shedding tears every five minutes that but it definitely fell short unfortunately.

"A Lackluster Sequel"

Strong Woman Namsoon's sequel falls short of its predecessor in several key aspects, leaving me longing for the charm and chemistry that made the original a hit. The absence of a strong connection between the main leads is glaring, robbing the series of the magnetic force that once held me captivated.

Surprisingly, the villain manages to steal the spotlight, capturing my' heart with a love story that outshines the lackluster romance between the protagonists. His charismatic smile and towering presence become unexpected highlights, overshadowing the supposed central love story.

Regrettably, the sequel fails to deliver a compelling mystery, leaving me yearning for the intricate plotlines that characterized the original. Forced comedy among family members further diminishes the series' appeal, creating awkward moments that disrupt the flow of the narrative.

However, amidst the disappointment, there are a few redeeming qualities. The villain's unwavering love and trust towards the female lead provide a refreshing dynamic, offering a rare glimpse into a complex and compelling relationship. The villain's endearing smile and imposing height become unexpected sources of enjoyment, injecting moments of charm into an otherwise lackluster storyline. I just love him ❤️❤️❤️..

Additionally, a standout character emerges in Namsoon's mother, who proves to be a true badass, adding a layer of strength and depth to the narrative. Despite the sequel's shortcomings, her character stands out as a beacon of resilience and strength.

In conclusion, Strong Woman Namsoon's sequel falters with a lack of chemistry between the leads, a captivating villain who steals the limelight, and a noticeable absence of a compelling mystery. While there are moments to appreciate, particularly in the villain's character and Namsoon's mother, the overall experience falls short of the expectations set by its predecessor.
Its really disappointing 😔

Very disappointing from a promising start.

The title intrigued me, and it was a promising start. A strong independent woman who lived alone in the desert with a pack of wolves, and survived. Great start, the actors are mostly terrific, especially Ninth Lord, the actor played his part brilliantly. Now i am wondering how to write a review of 500 words that can express my disappointment in how the story panned out. I did watch until the 19th episode but the last few were painful to watch. Then we have the other ML Wu Ji the actor was good however the written character was not. The story starts to go down hill from there. The FL goes to the city to build her life which she does very successfully with the help of the Ninth Lord in the back ground. Though she is not aware of this. She professes her love for him but he turns her down even though he loves her, because he is disabled. She then decides to return to the desert, Wu ji kidnaps her naked from the inn and takes her to his military barracks and restricts her movements. Ninth lord is sending scouts all over the desert looking for her, with no success. She has her homing pigeons but doesn't think to use them to let Ninth lord she is safe. Then in the 19th episode Wu Ji asks her if she has any feeling for him, she said i don't know. They drink too much and he takes advantage of her, she is horrified and runs out to the desert and screams. Wu Ji turns up and says i am sorry, she said it her fault, he said will you marry me and she smiled and says yes, i mean what sort of story is that. He an abuser and a bully, and potentially a violent man, she turns into a weak, simpering woman with not a brain cell in her head. The story line was so bad i almost cried with frustration. i skipped from the 19 episode to the last one and gave up. What an utter waste of good actors with an possible good story to write. I have watched some very good C dramas this was definately not one of them. i thought i was generous with my ratings. the cast did the best they could with what they were given.

Writers suck

I'm not going to lie I loved this show at the beginning, everything was good in my opinion, but I started noticing how bland the main leads love was and how bland their characters were and found myself skipping a lot, there was no chemistry between them however nam soon had more chemistry with the villain, and in my opinion ryu shio had a better backstory, character, etc than everyone else, that was the only thing getting me through the episodes, but no ending has ever upset me more than this, I'm super disappointed.

BEST Historical Drama

I started watching C-dramas for the wuxia genre, which is still one of my favorites. Still, I have recently been watching more historical dramas, and this drama, by far, is one of the best historical dramas that need to be on everyone's watchlist, the last historical drama that I really loved and would recommend is "Love Like the Galaxy," but that is now number two on my list. For one, ML and FL are two of my favorite actors, and they portrayed their characters perfectly, the chemistry between them was amazing, I also liked how the ML showed his feelings towards the FL towards the ending spoiler it's intense but amazing. The plot from the beginning to the ending is done amazingly, as well as all the characters in the story their actors portray them to great, making the story more emotional in scenes.

An inclusive and worn series that deals with many topics

What we have to appreciate the most is the fact that the series focuses on a poor family (It reminds a lot of an italian novel of the nineteenth century, with all the tragedies), instead of usual rich engeneering students and doctors.

The stories of many characters are interwined and interesting, expeccialy Li ming and Heart one (the main reason to watch the series, in everyone's opinion).
On the other side, I don't like the fact that Wen and Jim story starts with love at first sight and sex. This could really be avoided because it ruins the plot and gives a bad impression about the series at the first episode. However, Wen will do everything to conquer Jim, starting by working for him.

Then we have Saleng, portaied by Mark (always starring the funnies second character), forced to marry his wife Praew after getting her pregnant, but not having enough money to marry her and to rise his future son.
Another thing I appreciated about him is the fact that he expeesses his support to gender equality. He doesn't matter what will be his son gender, he will grow up them the same way (no gender role).

Than we have Li ming (Jim nepew), that finds himself working for the parents of Heart, a deaf teenager that have been forced to stay home since he lost hearing (3 years) due to an accident.
With Li Ming we finally have a character that, being poor, doesnt see a future ahead of him, so he decides that he doesn't want to sign up for university but he rathers work. Finally a characters where most of the teenagers can find themselves.

Then we have Gaipa. Gaipa story should have been developed better because it is really interesting. Gaipa is in love with Jim and has a really good relationship with his mother. He helps her at work and she comforts him a lot. Their relationship is really touching.
Unfortunately Gaipa story is not happy. We all hope that one day he will find happiness with Alan (Wen ex). We feel Khaofirst sexual tension 😏

The series, beside of showing what people with financial probles have to deal, shows also what people in same sex relations deal. It also reflects disabilities.

In conclusion, what makes this drama amazing is its inclusivity and all the problems it faces.

A good show with faulty plot

I didnt have the same problem as the other viewers had. I didnt think Ryu Shio was my favorite character like everyone else. And also, i liked all the character and the side stories. I liked the mom & bread song the best, and even namsoon's youthfulness (which turned off a lot of viewers early on). But the main plot which was the drug angle could have worked better if it made sense. Like why did the drug make Shio strong but not make Namsoon even stronger in the beginning of episode 16. Why are so many people taking a drug that doesnt even taste good. It weakened the overall story and i basically skippes the second half of the last episode where everybody is happy and one big family. Would have rated an 8 if it all came together. My rating 6.5 stars.
