STRESSING SCHOOL LOVE STORY, BUT STILL GOOD
Korean BL has always had this skills on creating a romantic vibes in BLs ! which I hate because , I like it ! I feel it always, the camera angle, the editing damn ! I commend them for that !The story is simple, both lead are afraid to admit their feelings and ended up hurting each other which is annoying! Like if I were Do Hyun I will make Dong Wook stop on being clingy when He is not sure if he likes me or not ! I felt horrible for Do Hyun here, he has every right to be angry with Dong Wook, nothing special here, its just Dong Wook came back after realizing that he really liked Do Hyun and since Do Hyun liked him from the start, he gave in ! which is just okay , story is easy to understand and on point, not rushed , it was complete, the actors did well, and that is enough, I think I would rewatch this one someday. The girl that was their friend is annoying by the way, sorry ? she is too noisy .. but yeah better KBL with 15-20 mins runtime than of 2020's , you can watch it if you just want to just be stressed and fall in love ?

I want to begin with the story, I don't know if this was the first gangsters themed BL I ever watched but this is literally has an amazing story, not too bloody, everything is exciting. I Like the progression, most BL stories have different ways of lead first meeting but here, it was exciting, like a gangster man lived in the house of a student, it was really catchy, and for an unknown reason I had a teary eyes many times watching this, this is not too dramatic but I felt it ! specially when Bai Zong Yi for many times pardoned Fan Jhe Ruei becuase he loved him ? I felt his love. The couples beginning has so many funny things and as they develop feelings for each other it was so nice, like the couple led the story well althrough the way. I cried When Bai Zong Yi"s family still accepted Jhen Ruei even he was improsoned because of him, I so love how the story ended. When Jhen Ruei pretended to have an amnesia, and Bai Zong Yi opened a bakery of strawberry for Jhen Ruei I was so emotional like I felt those part so much ❣️ this couple's story is just so lovely that I can't get over it. This is phenomenal, I was never wrong watching it right away. Chen Yi and Ai Di was so great also here, like they should have their own drama focusing on their story, Ai Di waiting for Chen Yi a long time, I was so emotional, I cried when Ai Di was celebrating his birthday alone when he had promised with Chen Yi to celebrate together but inspite of it, I liked how strong he is, even when Chen Yi is coming back to him finally, there was so many funny moments of them I love them here. I also like the part when Bai Zong Yi back hugged Jhen Ruei !! my fave part so so much ! ??. When this drama included a cameo of some amazing BL Actors from the past was really great, the one from beloved In House I do, from history S4 and the Plus Minus which is my favorite also ! this made even more catchy! I so love the story, not too heavy, not too light not too dramatic , just a right portion of everything needed !The actors are amazing Kai Hsu ! so so manly so chinese dark handsome look, and Taro Lin so so cute, he resembles Park Bo Gum for me ! their acting is so amazing, when they cry, I cry also ! they are just so so real , like all of them is so so like real ! Let me just say that I was surprised that Kai Hsu was the submissive here .. but it was cute it was different it was new .. they just fit each other , well nowadays being a top or a bottom or dominant or submissive on same sex relationship does not matter anyways, and that is what they have represented here ! being of those does not depend on the looks right? so anyways I just love it, it was refreshing .The songs are great ! made me feel even more the depths of each characters and what the story is implying. Let me just also say that Taiwan BL's hit different for me because when they kiss , it just like, they're just doing it as if it was just like hugging or like handshakes, coz too natural, zero % awkward thing on kisses, as if they have been doing it for a long time ! like they are so comfortable to the one they are kissing ! and the good thing is it is not too steamy, it was just right ! ? it just feels so real ! this is what I notice on taiwanese BL , from the We best love: no. 1 for you, damn ! they are like hussler ! ? and It is amazing for me, that is what I love on Taiwanesw BL , like they know from heart what we like BL fans ! and here at Kiseki , legendary kissing scene I should say ! Korean BL sometimes has that awkward factor which is okay it is normal anyways but Taiwanese, you will never end a BL series unsatisfied ! ?? not to mention their videos of fan services , that they even do kisses !! Going Back, Rewatch Value ? I would definitely rewatch this one over and over again in my life ! there is no reason not to ! Too bad that it was obly 13 episodes, I just hoped it was longer like 16, but even so it was complete, the story is well progressed and elaborated, some actors here have not too perfect acting but it was enough it was okay , not to perfect for everyone but perfect for me, the story focused on the love story which is what I've always liked in drama specially BL'S , they really got me here, And ! BoBo Lu ?! he is so cute by the way .. please let him be a lead on a BL also ? I love this drama really ! I hope to see the leads here on another drama ?? wanna see more of them please .. looking forward. this is definitely one of my top recommendations. when someone asked me what is BL ? I will answer, It is Kiseki Dear to me !

This is 10 minutes per episode which is a waste.The Chinese likes to make 10 to 15 minutes .
It can be comebined to one film / movies vs drama.
This is very good story and I like it very much. It is different from other.
The acting is well done.
Custumes are very expensive, exquisite, beautiful designd.
It taught moral values.
This is about woman with power who runs the family.
How can a blood sister deceived her own sister and asked her husband to rape her own sister?
This can happen in real life.

Real life dealings.
the FL is super strong and intelligent... wasn't one to bully and the ML's sworn brother..a smart investigator.The ML too was very reasonable in as much as he allowed his love emotions to cloud his sense and taste of a complete revenge for his family.
the SML was too stupid, always thinking he was in control.
SFL too acting was good, I like how she brought her character life... making it more life like in that all the hatred she didn't hide once she was exposed.
In all too, the plot was well executed for me, reasons been that, the male lead didn't take too much vagence to heart.
The kiss scenes were all mature acting, the lovey dovey and their confidence while displaying so was great.
I didn't get to watch the full episodes from WETV because their subscription fee is too high for me. I watched the four hours duration from YouTube and I'm been able to deduce all these from there.

Hope it will get better
I've only seen two episodes, but I have to say that im a little (really A LITTLE) disappointed. Jade is funny (even though some people could think it's cringe ;>) but the other actors are so um um.I'm not entirely sure about how to define it, but something feels off, idk what, but somethings missing hah.
But I'll keep watching! I love all their Dramas and I believe this will be no exception.
It takes a sense of humor and patience, so lets pray for other episodes to be more eyecatching :)

only watch if you love JaFirst
For me this wasn't the best story to showcase JaFirst potential.They are such talented actors bit this story was just kinda flat.Given that this is probably their last casting together I really was expecting to get my mind blown but I got disappointed instead.I had to take a break in the middle just to come back and watch it with a new perspective to get the hang of it cause the story was kind of all over the place.Honestly the only reason I finished is because I love JaFirst and the OSTs were quite good.As for the rewatch value I don't see that happening, I'll just watch DSN whenever I miss JaFirstWas this review helpful to you?
THE BEST HISTORICAL DRAMA THIS YEAR!
Hands down “Story of Kunning Palace” is the best historical cdrama this year!!Story:
The story is different from the other cdramas around: this time we have an anti-hero, Jiang Xuening, going back time to fix her mistakes that led to her death. She’s a complex character that did many bad things in the past but gradually you’ll love her so much more.
Then we have Xie Wei, who is personally my fav character in the drama. He has such a complex personality and soul, he’s so cunning, so smart and he always knows what’s gonna be his next step. He has the power of the world in his head. But keep in mind that he’s not an hero. He’s truly dark.
There are many other characters that you’ll completely love or hate. But each one of them has their own story and their own path. No one is left behind in the story. Everything is connected perfectly like some pieces of a puzzle. I’m so satisfied with how the story develops and continues. No black holes, no questionable moments in terms of the narration, no WTF?! or boring moments.
It’s truly a consistent, full of twists and coherent story. I’m truly mesmerised by the writing. They did such an excellent job in describing each character and each storyline.
Acting/Cast:
The cast was perfect and Bai Lu is truly THE gem of this drama. Her acting is on point, she’s emotional, heartless and cunning. Zhang Linghe did such a good job in portraying such a complex and dark character like Xie Wei and I personally loved the fact that this was the first time he dubbed his own parts with his voice. Especially in the second half of the drama we can perceive their talents and also their chemistry which is top-notch. These two look perfect together and I totally need to see them again in another drama, maybe a modern one. All the other actors did a good job too!! Zhang Zhe is truly talented, same for the princess and Xue Shu, who’s such a terrific villain. I loved all of them, truly.
This is a MUST watch and, for the first time for a cdrama, I could rewatch it over and over again. It’s perfect, believe me.

I devoured this final 8 episodes of part two. The first part left us full of suspense and dying to know if the tables were about to finally turn and if Yeon-Jin’s true colors were about to be revealed. Gah! I don’t know how it’s possible but the second part was even better than the first! Hands down this is definitely one of the best revenge drama’s I’ve watched, it’s currently in second place on my list. I loved it, its heart poundingly thrilling. I couldn’t wait for them to get what they had coming to them, and at the same time the ending had me sweating. It was beautifully done. I definitely bawled at the end and I’m so happy with how everything turned out. I have to say it’s HyeKyo’s best work yet! Great Job Netflix!Was this review helpful to you?

How not to extend 20 episodes of content into 36 episodes
Started strong, finished okay, middle was a dumpster fire. They didn’t have enough content, so their solution was a) make everyone emotionally stunted, b) make sure no one communicates with each other. Ever. And c)have the FL lead three guys on. She says she loves the ML, then proceeds to date two other guys.Keep in mind these are 30 something year old people who have all had previous relationships.
Anyway. Waste of a good cast. If you watch the first 15 and last 6 episodes it’s actually good. And honestly you’ll miss nothing but frustration at the terrible writting skipping the middle.

Gripping
This was a fantastic drama! It was so Gripping, it keeps you on the edge of your seat, full of suspense for what’s to come! This is by far one of the Best Revenge dramas I’ve watched! I loved the cast and Hyo, did an amazing job! You can’t help but root for her and her revenge on all those who tormented her. I will say it can be hard to watch at times, the school abuse/violence is horrific. It’s even more disturbing that things like this happen and people do get away with it. The ending of episode 8 left me dying for more, I’m hoping the tables are about to turn.Was this review helpful to you?
Most satisfying cdrama that I've watched
This has to be one of my favorite cdramas ever. I loved almost everything about the drama from the story to the acting, etc. Even initially, I was super intrigued by the synopsis and I went in with high expectations. I was not disappointed.The plot of this drama was not only paced well and logical, but it was the perfect amount of revenge, palace intrigue, and romance. The flashbacks of the past life were also placed well. The pacing of the story was quite even throughout, although at the end, it got somewhat quicker, most likely due to the fact that certain scenes may have needed to be cut to meet the current 40 episode limit. Still, it did not impact the pacing too much. The way the revenge was done felt extremely appropriate but also satisfying. There were multiple things that happened that I did not entirely see coming. The romance was quite slowburn regarding the leads, which I think we necessary given the characters, but it also made it so that each of the 3 MLs had their own story with the FL and that nothing was rushed. I think that the climax and the ending were done really well. Everything was tied up really well and almost everyone got the ending that they deserved. I am glad that the end scenes were shown with all the characters that mattered since it made the drama extremely satisfying.
I think that all the actors did a wonderful job portraying their characters. In particular, I think that Zhang Linghe did fantastic as Xie Wei and really made me believe that he was as broken and as vengeful as he was portrayed as. His facial expressions in particular have really improved from his past projects. Bai Lu also did amazing as the FL. I just love watching her because her acting is always on point. The supporting characters held their own and the villains acted heinous enough to the point of believability of their character and actions.
The only thing that could have been improved on was the lighting and angles. There were multiple extremely weird angles shown that took me out of the plot because they were so awkward and weird. In many scenes, there was also extreme lighting shown which made everything super lit. That also took me out of the story. However, compared to how amazing the drama is, they honestly pale in comparison.
Overall, I really enjoyed this drama and will definitely rewatch it. I'm glad to finally get a cdrama that has only minor flaws and issues and that is as enjoyable and satisfying as SoKP is. I'm going to recommend this to as many people as I can because it is just that good.

If you don't like silly dramas with exaggerated scenes, stay away.
7/10 Amazing with some not-so-great moments. It's silly and cute with some social justice points and mildly inappropriate romance. wouldn't be comfy watching it with my mom, but can recommend it to peers. Though this one is full of flaws in my personal opinion, I still enjoyed it and can easily recommend it.PROS:
I love how much he loved her and how he fought for her and vice versa for her at the start. There wasn't any unnecessary, "let's break up and be apart for something we can get over in two seconds if we just talk it out," kind of stuff. I also loved how even if sometimes it felt preachy, in the end, they always tried to kind of balance it out. It left a smile on my face.
The supporting characters and even the villain are just phenomenal. they made the story sometimes. You will be laughing your face off and then crying at some points as they touch on a lot of issues.
It's a happy ending and I am a sucker for those.
I'm not someone who likes to complain about plots or acting or OST because I go with the flow of the story and accept it as it is. I don't criticize the writer or blame it on the attitudes of FL or ML.
CONs:
So now that you know this, it's shocking to me that this story had so many unwarranted highs and lows with the love story, that it made me consider badmouthing the plotline in my mind, which I never do. I just hated how she always treated him like crap and he had to apologize for everything, even though he had her best interest in mind.
It also felt a little too preachy with the girl power. I'm sick of this girl power, independent woman crap that keeps getting shoved down everyone's throats in American media and now seems to be infiltrating my safe space with K-dramas. they even had to ruin her style to do it(the ugly dress, in the end, distracted the audience from the story because it was so questionable and cheap).
This honestly was the most immodestly dressed FL I've ever seen and I've watched a TON of dramas. I like K-dramas for their purity and innocence. this one broke that. if you're into that then I guess you'll love the 16+ rated scenes. I didn't. Also dislike how they turned FL into an insufferable person at times for her wild takes that made no sense.
But if you wanna have a laugh and you don't care about innocence and purity or rollercoaster love journeys, then watch it. You'll have a blast.

not as bad as i expected but still disappointing
Assuming that this story is being told by some drunk university students (as seen in the very first scene) then this series may make some sense. The pacing was questionable to say the least and the scenario was very weak. Rak had no personality whatsoever and Dino was possessive even of the air that Rak was breathing. Chalam and his omelet were the only redeeming qualities in this whole show. Unfortunately for them, kissing scenes could not fill neither the script nor the plot holes. back to the future in korea
everything is in the title, really. I loved back to the future, and I loved this remake. of course, so many things are different because it's in Korea, but there are a lot of similarities in the main lines. this being said, the last episode was rushed and it felt lacking. that was frustrating because all the drama is so well done it's a shame they didn't CODA it (wrap it beautifully). but it's a wonderful drama, just dive in!when to watch? when you need some comfort story.
audience; anyone, it's a family friendly story.
