Absolutely recommend this show

This show was amazing but sad we lost Byeok near the end and it does show that people will do anything for money even if it involves death and playing games, not only this but it also shows how close people become near the end and it made me cry to see Ji Yeong sacrifice herself to Byeok in the marble game and for Byeok to get stabbed by Sang Woo. Yeah it might be bloody and gory, but it was amazing and I cannot wait for season 2 and hope we get to see the actress for Byeok but maybe she plays a new character and also the actress for Ji Yeong too please, I knew it was a popular show and my mum never allowed me to watch it until I watched it secretly on KissAsian website, now I don't regret watching it because I loved it.

Watchable drama

My personal review to future watchers
Sometimes MDL comments are harsh if u like the storyline try to watch don't come to conclusions just seeing comments
Basically as the plot says it's a revenge ,forced/fake marriage troupe
Personally I found the support characters not so crazy like other Thai dramas.
Ml and fml had good chemistry n ml is not soo abusive n revenge things is not dramatic in good way.
I hated aunt si n ml father characters
Supporting characters like Dr.nichida , police officer, pang ,thoi n Meena are funny n lovable
12 episodes are just perfect otherwise it would have been draggy
Personally enjoyed this drama
One time watch drama

I just bumped into this drama and decided to watch it since it is just a light drama. The story itself isn't too outstanding nor eye-catching for me as a watcher. Having an idol turned to mart owners is somewhat unbelievable. With a hint of thriller mystery, the drama seems to have lots of elements to be successful. I guess the execution and the pacing of the drama is not good. The actors and actresses in the drama also are not that good into acting, and they are all so awkward to watch. The OSTs are not really memorable. I would not recommend this drama.

A very good surprise …

I hesitated to watch the drama because of some reviews, and I don’t regret having watched it, as these reviews were wrong to me.
Also, the screenwriter also wrote 100 my Prince, and Scent of a Woman.
And the mature Jo Bo Ah never chose her drama wrongly so far.

The storyline isn’t messy at all, it is extremely clear and well balanced between present time and flash backs, which come little by little to maintain the suspense of what really happened in the past between the two lovers and why, until the end… and it is really impossible to thoroughly guess it.

Another good thing about the drama is that it managed to be very original … and therefore unexpected despite some classic kdrama tropes.
But these are lovely.

Now about the love story, it is absolutely charming,
I must say I wasn’t a fan of Rowoon so far, but he plays his part perfectly…especially when he doesn’t know if he loves Jo bo ah because of a spell or genuinely… in that regard, dialogs and situations are once again on point, a bit more daring than in many dramas. And lighthearted too with moments that really make you smile.
And I loved that there was only genuine love between them, in the past and present.

All in all, a very unusual, very entertaining and great drama, served by a superb ost.
I really rooted for the 2 ML leads from the beginning on, and was really content with their happy ending.

Costume drama series, watched in VIKI app. Strong female character overcoming life obstacles using wit. Too much obstacles that got me to the brink of exhaustion but overcame it halfway through the series.

Start isnt great for me but it does get better so I am glad I stayed watching.

The male lead actor here did good. Having seen him playing different roles, to me he is best suited in antagonistic roles that he had done many of.

This is a good one to binge watch. This is very light on humor, but balanced drama, action and romance. It could have been done with less episodes tho. Lots of fillers to extend episodes.
Production did well with set scenes, props and wardrobe.

My opinion is that it is not worth paying to watch it but good one to add to your list to watch for free. Most likely it is available to watch for free in other apps like Bilibili, Youku, DailyMotion, etc. I think it may be free to watch in Viki app now too.

stated watching for ESTER YU (FL) because missing her after finishing MJTY ( in which she have totally different role as compare to her other roles ) .
the story is based on YSX (FL) who is a makeup blogger and ZU (ML) who is botany professor . they have already encounter each other in college and high school . there were a misunderstanding between them which had lead them to different path . they are accidentally meet each other and their journey starts to fall for each other.
the leads have very beautiful chemistry which will keep you busy.
there are 2 leads which have their own story to follow. they have little bit more of the screen time as they are 2 leads . i have to skip their parts to watch our main leads scenes.
the overall drama is worth a try because ML and FL will not disappoint in their acting.
this drama is lighthearted and easy to watch .
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CUTE , ENERGITIC FL WHO CHASES MALE FIRST AND A SLOW BURN ROMANCE THEN THIS IS FOR YOU.

ONE HELL OF A RIDE!!!

!!!NOT REALLY CONTAINS SPOILER, JUST A GLIMPSE OF IT!!!

This is my first time ever writing a review on a drama of any kind. I actually started this drama with little to non expectation at all cuz this is not really my type of jam. I mostly tried it cuz it has a really high rating on MyDramaList and that's it.

Starting off, this drama really keeps me intrigued to its plot at the first half of the show, and halfway through I think it starts to be somewhat predictable, at least for me. But thats not the point, want I'm trying to say is it's logical and totally got a point with no absurd ploting, which fits everything together and when the picture started to reveal as a whole, you'll be like "OHHH, that's what I thought, make sense".

Lets talk about the police specialty, I can say this is by far the most convincing crime solving drama I've watched, whether it's Kdrama or Cdrama, but of course not on par with some US UK crime show, they're like on a different level. But, I'm amazed by the thought process of the polices trying to solve the case as it is how it should be, unlike most other shows, where detectives and polices are just no more than a joke. Keep it simple, logical and everything will be in its place.

The acting is just superb, especially the one who bombed the bus, she nailed it perfectly. Her eerie vibe smile just sends goosebumps straight to me. Other than that, everyone's acting doesn't feel out of place at all, just stick to the fundamentals and all should be great.

The drama has a proper pacing with no rushed or over dragging details, all problems got sought out adequately and with a mix of cute little romance at the end makes it a very pleasant experience for myself.

Overall, EXCELLENT is the word I want to give to this drama. Rewatch value is a nah, it's an one time drama for me.

This was my first ever asian drama and was overall a new experience for me. I binge-watched it in like 3 days on youtube. I fell in love with the haters to lovers concept. This drama delivered every young teenage dreames and I happened to be one. I feel like this drama had some unneeded parts but it was tolerable.
I strongly recommend this drama to beginners in the drama world. The brightest star in the sky isnt the best choice for thoes who like fast burn romance cause this drama needs patience

Only if you want to see a very hot Dai Gao Zheng ( 。◕‿◕。 )

I don't understand the good comments about this series!

OK, I'm not a fan of mini dramas because the story is often poorly developed. But I watched it for Dai Gao Zheng (ෆ`꒳´ෆ) which I really like. On the other hand, I don't like at all Chen Fang Tong (expressionless Barbie doll) who plays the FL.

PLOT: a bodyguard (the ML) helps the blind heiress (the FL) he protects, to fight against the plots / betrayals of her fiancé and her best friend. The FL is investigating the death of her father and the ML wants to avenge his family (bankruptcy, suicide, illness, etc.).

PROS:
+ Dai Gao Zheng very sexy
+ lots of kisses and skinship

CONS:
- Story poorly built up, clumsy, where events happen abruptly, and full of every possible cliché.
- I know it's a low-budget production but the costumes are too cheap, tacky and poorly cut, even the engagement ring is adjustable!!! There are limits that must not be crossed in the cheap business!!
- Another series where we wonder if there is a police force in China... Murders, corruption, attacks, etc. but we don't see a single uniform in the whole drama Щ(◣д◢)Щ
- OST poorly suited to the climate of the scenes.

=> Fortunately it was short, otherwise I would have dropped it!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- OST peu adaptés au climat des scènes.

=> Heureusement que c'était court, sinon j'aurai zappé !

Mr Queen failed its own protagonist

*Warning; this review is not about the overall show, it's mainly my gripes with the way Bonghwan's character was handled. Please keep this in mind before continuing.

As much as I enjoyed this show for its comedy, I definitely believe the writers did Bonghwan dirty. We never really learn much about his life outside of being a chef and in a coma, we don’t know anything about his friends or family, or why he even wants to go back so badly. They don’t properly flesh out his motivations, and treat his desire to go back home like a joke throughout the entire series. I wish they further explored all the trauma he went through; waking up in a different era and in a body that isn't his own, being referred to as Kim So Yong while his own identity is slowly erased, adapting to a female body (i.e. periods, pregnancy, etc) and then having to deal with all the palace politics and violence as a modern man. Bonghwan literally went through the most shit on that show and the writers never addressed it or took it seriously. Not to mention how they kind of forgot how Bonghwan was stuck in So Yong’s body in the second half and instead treated him like an eccentric version of So Yong. I literally had to keep reminding myself that this was Bonghwan inside the body because this show was trying really hard to erase his existence for the sake of the romance. Like I literally know nothing about him as a character separate from So Yong. even though he was the protagonist, Bonghwan was one of the most neglected and underdeveloped characters within Mr. Queen.

Extremely frustrating avoid unless you want to be irritated

Minato is a complete dick leading Shin on for 2 seasons. He's so repressed. After season 1 after he finally agreed to be with Shin he just kept stringing Shin along. He refused to develop their relationship with Shin and kept him at arm's length or even further. He would claim he loved Shin back but he did absolutely nothing to deserve Shin for him to stay as long as he did. If anything he did everything possible to make Shin to stop liking him whenever he tried to be romantic with Minato. For 2 seasons I wish for Shin to finally come to his senses and stop pursuing Minato. Minato even had to get drunk just for poor Shin to hear Minato didn't want to be in love but didn't want to be alone either. He is just a hypocrite and poor Shin had to deal with Minato's indecisiveness. It was so painful to watch, you would think a 30+ yr old would be more mature but it was Shin who was the mature one. He would legit just give poor Shin breadcrumbs whenever he would feel the distance grow between them after he would keep pushing Shin away and poor Shin would always come crawling back cuz he was so stubborn to give up the hope Minato would finally give Shin the affection he's craved for yrs from Minato. Minato absolutely doesn't deserve Shin whatsoever. Every time you would think we are going to get a romantic moment with them and watch their relationship finally blossom Minato runs, screams, and pushes Shin away every single time! Like in S1 it makes sense cuz Shin was still a child but they did the time jump right before S1 ended and Shin was an adult so you would of thought Minato would stop being that way but alas no Minato is still like that even after Shin is in his 20s, going to university and working. Even when they live together for a while cuz Shin's house is getting renovated Minato doesn't want Shin anywhere near him even when they go on vacation. I even took a break from watching it and only started to watch it again cuz I have a friend who started to read the manga. She has a habit of spoiling everything cuz she can't keep her mouth shut so I started up where I left off and remembered why I put the drama on hold. I can't stand Minato, I just think Minato kept Shin around cuz he liked all the attention Shin showered him with cuz he was lonely and didn't even like Shin romantically. He probably thinks he does but can't ever get physical with him or say I love you. I also really hate how for 2 seasons we don't get anything romantic and when Minato finally lets Shin get close he gets into an accident and the stupid author gave Shin amnesia gotta love the never-ending drama just cuz. Only just cuz Shin forgot who he was that's when he started to show he cared for him and I was already fed up with the show..... if it wasn't for Shin's friend and sister Minato was about to let Shin go. honestly, I think it would have been for the best cuz he isn't good for Shin. Shin would of had a better chance to find someone who would of actually shown him the love he deserves and not have someone like Minato to play with his emotions. Even after all the efforts of their friends Minato still refused to let Shin get close to him even if it was to help Shin jog back his memories a complete waste of a story tbh. Shin was even willing to let them help him, especially Minato. You would see Shin even after he forgot he was dating Minato his feelings for him were still there. Even Shin knew something was going on between them but couldn't remember what it was. I didn't like how Minato made it seem like Shin and he were so close when Shin was asking him all these questions until Shin asked where their relationship was and Minato finally admitted their relationship level was nothing cuz he refused Shin to let him develop their romance together. Even hearing himself say there relationship wasn't going anywhere Shin still wanted to try, but stupid Minato after everything of feeling depressed about Shin losing his memory and spent all day with him trying to help Shin remember him was still willing to give up on Shin. After they argue they finally get back together cuz Shin finds a letter Minato wrote but never gave Shinl, once he read it all of a sudden all of his memories magically came back and that's when they finally spend a romantic night together, and only cuz Shin reminded him that he can't run away after kissing cuz the idiot was about to run away again after shin started to get all touchy-feely on Minato was trying to run away from having sex and if it wasn't for Shin reminding him they got into that mess cuz of Minato constantly running away they slept together but Minato was still like ehh to close. The show does have a good ending but not really worth the stress of seeing Minato play Shin so badly. It's such a shame how the story gets played out cuz both actors have such amazing chemistry together and we would have had so many great moments of them if the writers of the manga didn't keep making Minatos character into such a dick. The moments we got robbed due to Minato's lack of courage of not being honest with himself and leading Shin on for so long.

A nine-tailed fox Lee Yeon was a mountain god but relinquished his godly status so that his first love could reincarnate one day. Now, he is obligated to eradicate devils that threaten the world, including his con-artist brother Lee Rang. His actions intrigued a PD who is exploring the world of supernatural. She looks the same as Lee Yeon’s first love.

First and foremost, I want to express how surprised I was by the very effective horror, there are numerous moments when I genuinely felt creeped out. This show is a blend of the three genres combination, a romance, supernatural elements, and horror. For instance, in the very first scene is already foreshadowing an eerie direction. The visuals and CGIs are remarkable!

Ji Ah is a risk-taker, she's a reflection of a realistic career driven woman. She is knowledgeable about Korean folklore and adds a lot of depth to the show. I think her grit allows her to be more on equal footing with the immortals that are around her, which is hard to do, they often get sidelined because they're human. But my favorite character is Lee Yeon, he is the perfect balance of sass and arrogance and playfulness. Lee Dong Wook plays him so genuinely that it's hard to remember his previous roles, he disappears into this playful, arrogant fox.

Sadly, it quickly gets hollow and bonker! The script is consistently inconsistent, too many plot holes. When the romance is at stake, the scenes between the actions and romcom are giving a strange tone whiplash. The chemistry between the leads is somewhat one-sided. Then it is strangely ending, adding one more plot hole in the very final moment.

Good vibes, 2nd season please!

This show was funny, eventful, and very interesting with full of suprises. The actors did a great a job and their characters were very special and memorable. I enjoyed every minutes of the production, thanks to the special sense of humor and the twists. There are some unanswered questions in my mind after i watched it, but on the whole i liked it so much!!! I will missing it!!
The ending was correct and the story is closed, nevertheless, I still hope for a second season. New location, new adventures, another case to solve, and the unfolding of romantic threads so - so many funny and interesting situations could arise. There are still plenty of fantasy in this story and these characters.
The music was amazing and was always well suited to the actual scenes!!
I hope for a second season because the story has a lot of potential, to be of the same quality as the first season.
