They did it again! Best season so far

At first, I was a bit hesitant about whether I would like the second season as much as season 1 because of the cast changes, but surprisingly I enjoyed this season even more. I liked how the new cast slowly and with purpose became part of the team, while also growing more respect to dr. Kim. In this season they directed more attention to the backstories of the doctors themselves and how they overcame their troubles, which gave the drama more depth and made the characters even more likeable. This season had 2 love stories and I enjoyed watching them both, even though I was longing for more cute scenes, I found it enough to keep me curious about their relationship.

I found the villains less irritating and more reasonable than in season 1, therefore I enjoyed following the storyline of the villain as well.

Again there were many twists present, but at the end, the whole story came beautifully together, therefore another must-watch.

One of the most underrated BLs

When I started this series, I will admit I had a hard time adjusting at first, something about Thi drove me crazy. But I fell for Noey and his crew almost immediately. And over time, as you see the evolution of Noey and Thi this truthfully becomes one of the shows with the highest rewatch values (for me at least). The characters are dynamic, the story, although not flawless, is light and entertaining, and the music is truly ???‍?

I wish this show had a higher score on MDL, because it truly is a solid BL. I think part of its low score may have to do with the somewhat pg nature of the show. This isn’t at the level of LITA or Kinnporsche, or even a GMMTV show these days in terms of spice. Its pillowy soft and sweet like marshmallows.

If thats the kind of show you like, this is for you. If you want spice and lots of kisses, you wont find what you want here. Me? I’ll probably do a rewatch in the near future.

The characters was polar opposites in every way and I sympathize sympathise with Hira the most as he is relatable to me yet hiyio was too harsh on him at times but glad we got his perspective on his love. I'm not surprised that it took a while for them to start dating as they have poor communication with each other
The last 3 kept returning to flashbacks- too many for me at times and never brought fresh ideas so was on a constant never ending cycle for them and never actually sorting the problem
The power balance was so unequal it was shown clearly when the pushing scenes demonstrated it for us

A binge worthy drama with suspense and drama

This is one of the dramas that had a well-thought-out storyline. There were many twists in the story and interesting character developments which was holding you in suspense. Most questions were answered at the end, which made it all an entertaining and satisfying drama to watch. I also did not expect me to enjoy watching the surgical scenes, but this drama made them interesting to watch.

Regarding the characters, I liked that every character had their own storyline, with each character adding something to the story. I was hoping at times for a bit more for the love story, since the first episode made me really want to see how their relationship would grow, but unfortunately, their relationship was not that satisfying to watch, even though the actors did have chemistry. But the hospital team grew on me and I really wanted to get to know them more.

I liked that there were enough light-hearted scenes in between all the suspenseful scenes and I found many scenes very funny and entertaining.

Therefore, I would recommend people to watch the drama.

recommended and worth watching

i had been waiting for this drama since last year's when they announced it will be airing early this year's as i am fan of PMY. But, i could not put higher hope for this project as i do watch a similar plots somewhere else and also the gossip that crashed PMY early 2023 may also give a big impact to her.

surprisingly PMY giving her best and if i could say, she does more than ?%, putting her effort to indulge in her character. well done ✅

As for now, the plots was so much interesting compare to other versions. i keep on hooks up and waiting for every episode to be aired ?

i really wish all 16 episodes will giving full satisfaction. ? caiyookk!!!

ohh ya!! believe me. this one worth watching. very recommended ?

Fun, thrilling, short watch

This was a really good drama. The acting was good, the story for the most part made sense and it wasn't unnecessarily long, only 8 episodes all around an hour long(except for the last episode). The action scenes were done so well, a little long but entertaining nonetheless. The characters were easily the best part, the friendship between the 2 main leads was also really well done, as well as the others, and also this was also pretty funny.

I would say there were some logistical fallacies:
- One would be the fact that when they contacted the heir guy, they just sent him a DM and he actually had his notifications on despite having 500k followers. Like I felt like they could've done something more creative.
- Another one was the fact the sushi restaurant fighter got killed off even though he was supposed to be this incredibly skilled and experienced fighter? I just couldn't believe he got taken out by one guy, when a whole fleet couldn't even do it.
- Not as well planned. This is mainly towards the last 2 episodes, a lot of the operations (especially after Mr Oh got captured) weren't planned out and they kind of just improvised what they were going to do, and I would've liked to see them put a bit more brains into their operations.

But overall, I really did like it, and it got me out of a kdrama slump so if your also in one then I would most likely recommend.

Not a fan of the ending

Both Victoria Song and Luo Yun Xi are terrific actors and powerhouses, however the chemistry between them just wasn't properly utilized. The kissing scenes between the two were very dry, just quick pecks. There's one good intimate scene in this show and it isn't between ML and FL, but flashback between ML and his ex.

Don't even get me started with the ending. Another disappointing ending from a drama where where the ML has ulterior motives for approaching the FL. *Major Spoiler* The ML dies at the end. (I wish I had the reviews and someone had clearly stated that this happened.

What's more, apart from the fast-paced beginning, most of the show was boring, the second couple was the only reason I didn't skip most of it. In the beginning , both the SFL and SML were a bit cringey and too childish but thankfully they were not so bad by the end of it. I liked them together.

Lacking

The theme of this series is focused on finding one's self and growing as a person. While the story was somewhat able to carry on the theme of the drama, the casting, acting and the production fell really short.

The casts had no chemistry. The acting was too cringey. While the story had it's purpose and meaning, it still felt flat. The production skimp so much on it's budget that the environment of the show was so bad it actually affects the overall enjoyment and story flow of the show.

This was an okay show. But definitely not something worth rewatching.

Please note that I'am not a hater. It's just that the sadly everything about this drama was lacking.

A substantial, mature and exceptionally beautiful love story

For me this is my highlight of 2023.

As a phenomenal firework of quiet nuances, “Tell Me That You Love Me” is exuding soulful warmth in graceful silence while creating a soothing atmosphere that takes root deep in the heart. Accompanied by a soundtrack with pulling effect, that could hardly be more harmonious, sincere feelings are conveyed via looks and gestures, while words and thoughts are frequently communicated in sign language, thus telling a story, that knows how to gently touch the audience.

It's not about appearance, facade, coat and make-up, but about essence. Approaching the substantial is exactly what makes this production so exceptional for a KDrama. With Jung Woo-sung, who is once again breathing pure authenticity, certainly a perfect casting for the ML. He also seems to having actually communicated in sign language most of his life. But Shin Hyun-been was also able to effortlessly impress me with her reflected presence. What a couple!

Calm aesthetics and gentle pace intensify the profoundness of the encounters, which opens up spaces for the essential. Even if trenches between the worlds of the hearing and the deaf may be deep and ample at times, loving encounter is still possible. Even if the feelings for each other may be deep and honest, specific barriers inevitably remain. “Tell Me That You Love Me” is gently approaching the dilemma - a desire to face the challenge with confidence, but on the other hand the fear of failure considering the barriers and therefore wanting to run away.

I´d say, anyone who can open up to this rather idiosyncratic “language” of this KDrama will be rewarded by a substantial, mature and exceptionally beautiful love story.

I loved almost everything about this drama except the ending. With each episode I couldn’t wait for the next to drop. We spent 16 episodes waiting for an ending that seemed rushed and somewhat unresolved. More clarity on the FML personal development would have been appreciated. We can only assume that she grew up and is now mature enough to deal with the issues she had encountered before. Sigh. JWS did an outstanding performance in conveying so much emotion without ever speaking. I would watch this again just for his character alone.

I ended up loving this…

so I normally don’t write reviews… but I feel compelled to here. I actually watched this twice. the first time, I’d let all the hate this series got impact my thoughts on the overall show. but I found myself grabbing for it again recently and did a rewatch.

here is the thing, we already know we’re going to get some of the same stuff we do in other Thai BLs set in a school setting. let’s just move past that and tak about what this series did different that made it a solid show for me.

first, I don’t think they should have played up the bullying aspect because at its core this isn’t a bully series. and I think that’s where all the hate comes from. it was portrayed as a bully turned to lovers show, but in reality, that really wasn’t it.

we have a kid (Kang)desperate to be seen and accepted for who he is especially by his father. so he acts out.

and we have another kid (sailom) who is trying his best to deal with really shitty hands dealt to him and trying to find the good if at all possible.

actually when you pull back and think of it, they are both trying to deal with the shitty cards laid out for them. albeit one of them is way more privileged than the other.

when you take away the bully stuff you get two kids who want to be loved and who love with their whole heart. take Sailom after seeing Kang put the lock on Pim’s lock, despite his feelings he tried to help Kang be with Pim. he put aside his feelings so Kang could potentially find happiness since at this point it was clear Sailom could see Kang felt unloved and unseen so he tries to help. actually the whole show he tries to help encourage Kang.

the whole father thing and Sailom’s brother I thought was really interesting and really changed the dynamics of the show. we end up seeing Sailom isolate himself since he now truly believes he has no one in the world but himself.

was the chemistry messy at times? yeah. did I have to remind myself this was a new pairing and I can’t compare to Perths old pairing? yeah. did it have new elements you don’t seen in a lot of Thai BLs? yeah, in my opinion it did. did it also have a lot of the same old stuff? yeah to a point.

either way I think my rewatch was a lot better than my first go around since I’d let so many comments on this series sway what I thought.

I liked it. It wasn’t the same cookie cutter university thai BLs we normally get.

I’d say at least give it a chance to episode 4/5 and the decide if you want to keep going.

Great until episode 23. No happy ending! Season 2 never aired

I was absolutely loving this drama until episode 23 came around and ruined everything. Episode 24 was even worse, and I'm genuinely angry about it. How could the director and scriptwriters think it was okay to deny the fans a happy ending for this period romance? It's a complete insult to the viewers, and I'm not going to sit here and take it quietly.

I have a few theories about why this happened. Maybe Season 2 was cancelled due to budget issues or problems with casting and production. Or maybe the Chinese censors had something to do with it. But regardless of the reason, it's completely unacceptable that after all the time and emotional investment I put into this show, I was left with such a disappointing ending.

There are even rumors out there about what happens next in the story - that they get married, she becomes his Empress, and they have twins. So why did episode 24 end with them simply crossing paths without even acknowledging each other? It's infuriating and frustrating, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I was so invested in this show, and now I feel like I wasted my time.

Episodes 1-22... 10/10
Episode 23… 5/10
Episode 24… 1/10

A Unique and Refreshing Love story.

Cha Jinwoo and Moeun, two opposites, no not really, but do they have much in common, not really, but we see Moeun fall in love with the first person who genuinely believed in her and we see Cha Jinwoo, fall in love with the first person to truly put effort into talking with him even if he can't speak.

Their story is Beautiful and Realistic, we see Moeun's frustration adding up, Cha Jinwoo perception and although some say they shouldn't have broken up, I think it was essential they did, and Moeun explains why they got back together better than I do in the Finale.

The actors were sensational, the portrayers were near perfection, and while it's not the actors fault some scenes should have stayed without music or speech.

You're missing out if you don't watch this.

How to ruin a really good show in last 4 episodes

I will keep it simple and short , the show started good, continued even better but coming near the end went straight downhill.
The entire character of FL was ruined at made folks hate her even more than SFL.
Looks like the writers did avoid the cheating trope in the original but still managed to ruin the female lead's character.

The actors did justice to their roles be it the leads or the side characters, who didn't do justice were the writers who could have done a way better job with the ending .
This show could have been an extremely good love story about two mature people but went quite an opposite way ruining the mood. Still better then the original Japanese version which was even way worse.

Was it worth the watch? Barely, but yes.

This was a really hard drama to rate, a lot of things have improved in Thai dramas over the past several years, so I wanted to give this a little bit of leeway and try to take it for what it was, so I'll try and be gentle with my review ?

Let's start with the actors, I was honestly really surprised at the quality of acting here, usually you have a lot more side characters that just don't know how to act, but there were several characters that were played really well and carried the show, the whole friend group had pretty good skills overall.

Onto the story-- you have a group of college friends that we follow, going on a journey with them as they fall in love or give into lust. The story is mostly about their relationships and the drama that comes out if jealousy and selfishness, so while spoiling as little as possible, let's get into the couples.

Our main couple, KornKnock (MaxTul)
Holy fucking chemistry. These two blow you away with their intimacy, the way they look at each other, talk to each other, touch each other-- really its the entire reason that this show is so popular. Max is an incredible actor, Tul was a little less so in this, after watching him in Manner of Death, I know he worked hard to get there from this. Maybe it was because he just couldn't quite feel his character though, because Knock was a walking red flag the whole series. I wot go into it so as not to spoil the moments, but he's thetype you wish you could save the ML from because he's so stupid and selfish.

Side couple #1 PhuKavitra the teacher student trope--
I'm personally not into crossing unprofessional lines, it seems like a weird abuse of power and I'm just not a fan, but it wasn't too bad here since it was university. The acting though, these two just did not do it for me, Phu was a cute enough character, but Kavitra, she can't act for shit and it makes you want to skip over their story completely.

Side couple #2 BrightFarm the doctor and patient trope--
Apart from the fact that the doctor hitting on his patient is just ew, holy fucking age gap. They didn't even mention the age gap in the story it was just so obvious and uncomfortable! I had to stop the show at like two scenes where I was legit like ew there's no way, this guy could be his dad, sure enough these actors are TWENTY years apart. Listen, I get that age us just a number, but when you take the inappropriate abuse of authority with the fact that this kid could easily pass for still being in high school, it just felt incredibly gross. Trying to push that aspect off to the side since somehow I don't think it was intentional, their relationship is so red flag all the way through, there's no one rooting for them in the end.

Side note, Yiwha and Fai are both great, they also had good chemistry if they'd been cast as a couple, so I think there was some untapped potential there.

Ultimately, the MaxTul chemistry is what made this show, this level of toxic drama and cliche tropes is high school level bad, but watching this cute little group of friends fight their way through the struggles together was heartwarming in and of itself, so I'll give it some credit. Was it worth the watch? Barely, but yes.
