Too much lakorn's flaws, only Donut shine in this series :)

Revenge lakorn: the ML, son of a jewelry CEO, returns to take his revenge in his father's company. The father abandoned his wife and son 10 years earlier, for the benefit of his mistress. They both subsequently adopted a daughter (FL), who became the heiress to the group.

PROS:
+ a very good ML, Donut, mysterious and charming. Donut brings to life, a complex, tortured character, and he does it with great talent. He carries the whole series on his shoulders!!

CONS
- I don't question the talent of Prapye the actress, but I hate the FL's character, weak, gullible, who is bullied by everyone without reacting (only knows how to cry) => very very annoying. She was supposed to lead a big company??? She obviously doesn't have the skills!! Almost untill the end, she is stupid, blindly trusts the wrong people, and is cruel to the ML she supposedly loves. ((╬ಠิ﹏ಠิ))
- I don't even like the CL2's characters either: an idiotic and idle doctor (he's not very busy for a doctor who works in a hospital) and the best friend who is also an idiot, but hyper aggressive. Each of them has a crush on someone who doesn't like them, but they stubbornly persist anyway.

USUAL LAKORN'S FLAWS
- Overdramatic tone with long pauses on gazes.
- Permanent music at full volume
- This series gives the impression that Thai men are roosters, ready to fight for anything and everything :(, also ready to take advantage of any woman within reach (that doesn't make you want to go to Thailand :( However, many of the fight scenes are ridiculous (bad blows, lots of screaming, women watching helplessly,...).
- Too many supporting characters are caricatural: the ridiculous Marketing Team, which respects no hierarchy, does more gossip than work, etc. / The villain's lover, always plotting, with sly expressions / the father's mistress-second wife, ambiguous, who doesn't know what she wants except money, aggressive, stupid, who doesn't even pretend, ...

=> To see only for Donut, remarkable!
****************************************************************************************************

Story is trash, acting average. Idea was nice, but wasted potential

Dear Mr Recluse -8/10 cdrama

I would say its lover tier for average dramas. actors aint bad, but plot of story is dumb and not really catchy.
Shortly exist alot dumb romcom story dramas. Which are better.

Female lead is for first eps just some kinda clingy girl. And you trully dont know if she is interested in ML or doing all that just for job. Most of nice scenes at start of drama feels weird cause of it.

plot - FL is food blogger which loses job opportunity thanks betrayal of her business partner. She managed obtain new opportunity from MLs dad, but she needs accomplish quest he gives her. quest target is FL have to convince his son[ML] to return from his meditation retreat and take over family business. FL decides to try honey trap.

genre - romance

Sweetest body swaping story of cutest couple

First of all very thankful to whole" the day of becoming you" team for this wonderful light hearted sweet romantic drama. Liang jie character as yu sheng is bubly , sweet independent women and Stephen Zhang as jiang yi seems cold n inexpressive due to his family issues but in reality he lack that warmth. Both are characters are nice n has healthy relationship . All the supporting characters also good . I didn't felt cringey when Stephen acted as yu sheng he pulled that girliness really well. Liang jie also did a good job. No angst , no long breakup . Good kissing scenes with good chemistry between leads. Body swapping helped them to get to know each other better.
If any k-pop gans , knetizens n Chinese fans obsessed watching this dram one thing u should observe that how would actors , idols feels when u talk toxic about people they love can do to them . Idols n actors don't belong to u guyz . They hv their own life they can date who ever they want. Instead bashing them with ur hard comments wish them happiness that ll make them happy too . They will also feel that they got sincere fans. Overall drama was very nice. Bravo ???? ??????

Mixed feelings on this drama…

When thinking of how I could describe this drama in one sentence, all I could think about is how difficult and confusing it was to formulate a sentence. It a really good drama in the middle. Both the beginning and end are harder to watch to me. Not because of the content, but because of the atmosphere and character choices.

For me personally what made the beginning and end hard to watch was Choi Min Young, I don’t know if her character was meant to be so frustrating. But every time she was present, I found myself uninterested in the way she would go about things and her character development. That’s why for me the middle is the best part, her not being there drove the story even more, but also allowed the other characters to do things freely without her holding them back. An example of what made me frustrated, and also showed that she was kind of a hindrance to the story was when she first wakes up from being in a coma she starts pulling strings, as if she has been there the whole time. She seemed like a very controlling character that had no reason to be as controlling as she was. Maybe that’s just her personality and she’s very strong headed but for her to wake up and tell her sister “we’re gonna go back to normal” “you can’t do this anymore” etc.. was something that made her not only unlikable, but made the drama harder to watch.

Besides CMY making the drama herder to watch, how slow, some of the characters were in making fast paced decisions made me disconnect from the story that was being told. I think for the content and situations that they were in a lot of the time you had to be really fast at what you’re going to do next otherwise they would be repercussions. Yoo Seong Pil for instant did this a lot and maybe because he is a police officer you could tell those times where he would pause and think everything out. But he would do that during scenes in which you can’t pause. You could say that he’s acting this way because of the drugs, but those are also drugs that enhance thinking so it’s very weird of him to take so much time to do something. Like when Seo Ho Su’s mom was having a seizure I couldn’t tell if he was being strategic in not helping her or just froze in fright. Either way from what we know of him he’s a smart cunning person you would think that in that situation he would be on top of things without hesitation.

Despite of the characters lacking storylines, my favorite part of the drama was in the high school. There’s a lot that Choi Soo Young could work with, and I really enjoyed her dynamic with Song Jin Woo. Those two characters were the highlight of the whole drama for me. I liked how she could be funny at times with him and he would be serious but also kinda let his guard down. If drama has a season two I would love to see how the characters develop more because there was a lot of them that needed background stories because I couldn’t understand why they did what they did or how they got to where they are.

✧Overall the dramas is pretty good, if you have time to watch it, please do so. But it’s also not a drama that is a must watch. My opinion the best episodes are 4-16 so if you don’t mind how the drama kinda drags in the other seven episodes, then give it a watch. I think this drama would improve with a season two that explains why the characters are who they are. In the end it was a harder drama to finish, but at least I was able to complete it.

A rollercoaster

Bloodhounds has been a rollercoaster for me, All of my drama careers I have never ever came across such a drama that gave me a rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts!!!
I should definitely start from the main main actor which is Geon-woo (Woo Dohwan) I have never seen such a pure soul as he is! Despite all the bad things he went through and the hardships he faced, he did never lose his positive and kind spirit!! (A soul that we fight every day to keep and achieve ❤️) up to the very last minute he believed, fought and succeeded ?
I am sure it would have been even harder to him if he didn't have a supportive and true friend like Woo-jin (Lee Sangyi) I like how silly yet mature this character is! The actor really give it his best and I can't see anyone doing the role except him ?
The story itself is so strong and kept me on edge the whole drama long! There are some twists and actions that kept me dumbfounded and surprised to the instinct I doubted everything till the very last end...
A shout out to the ahjusshis who gave the half part of bloodhounds a beautiful story and acting ?
Despite what they did to me in episode 6 and 8 this drama is definitely a 10/10 in every way possible. ❤️

Appreciate the struggles you have gone through to reach where you are now.

Even though the characters of the story went through many struggles, it gave a sense of courage when the characters never forgot their past and appreciated how far they have gone to get to the level they are on. The main lead in the story gave a message to many people that with a goal there's many circumstances, and to have the confidence to continue experiencing what you have been through shows your determination in many aspects. From the example in the drama, the main lead would cry because he lost someone he cared about. If you feel guilty of something in the past and you try your best to make up for it, no one will blame you. Everyone has a problem to solve on their own. You can't avoid your own differences and don't try escape. If you don't overcome it will follow you forever. This is a lifelong message to the universe, and I would really encourage many people to watch this drama.

Almost finished it

Yo genuinely, how do people finish this? I mean OffGun is amazing and I fucking love them but like.. what the fuck..? I never really liked it since the beginning, specially the way Khai treats Third, but I tried to finish it just because of OffGun. Although when Khai harassed Third in the bathroom I lost it. I just hate that kind of situation, stop putting drunk people harassing people, specially if the one being harassed is his future love interest. I just really needed to get this off my chest, I really hate Khai.

Jay's the best

Watched almost 10 episodes of this just because of ZeeNunew and NuerSyn but I got tired, this relationships just look so toxic, like Nuea doesn't even feel safe to tell his lover about his interests. And it also looks like these people can't kiss without having sex, like chill bro the world ain't ending. Anyways I've watched worse things so... Also I love Jay so much, he's the best character in all of this series.

Ignore social media comments, this drama is worth the journey

Quick verdict: This story gets high marks due to its mostly tight storytelling, outstanding cast, great character development, and strong portrayal of women. However, it tried to squeeze too much at the end, and the vague-ish ending didn't help matters. It is tragic, however, that due to the many negative comments on the ending on social media, many people would give this a pass. It is especially tragic because the interpretation of the ending may differ for the viewer.

In this review, I'll argue why it's worth watching, and that the ending may not be what many assume.

Note: I have a much longer and more detailed review up at my blog: http://tinyurl.com/7raa495d

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE ENDING

*Quick summary:* The war left a toll on many; many of the Six Realms Halls men were wiped out, but Yuan Zhou and Ruyi survived, faked their deaths, and lived a quiet life in seclusion. Eventually they had two kids, Ning Shi San and Ren Lu.

--

It's extremely weird to be a part of the minority who 100% believes A Journey To Love ended happily for Ruyi and Yuan Zhou.

Now, I didn't read spoilers when I watched the dropped episodes. When it dropped, I watched it almost immediately because I knew if I was spoiled I'd probably lose the motivation or heart to watch it, and I didn't want them to influence me too.

Anyway, when I saw the ending I was SO relieved. Oh phew, our leads survived and are now happy with their quiet, secluded lives. Then I came online. Oooh boy.

What a weird mind f*** it is to see people 100% believing the opposite.

I read all their reasons for believing that, and it didn't make sense to me at all. (PS: This doesn't mean I think you're dumb for believing that, by the way! Just that our brains are wired to see things differently.) So, I rewatched episode 40 thinking maybe I misinterpreted it.
Nah, I came back even more sure of my theory that they faked their deaths.

I think people are really hung up about how they died. But these things are very easily explained.

Yuan Zhou had a rather public death, being pierced by multiple spears. But to me his survival can easily be explained by:
- The "life preservation pill".
- The snake skin armor that the Pan assassins had worn in episode 20. They were so effective that Yuan Zhou had to instruct everyone to aim for the neck and head. Pretty sure our men would've taken some of this armour! Yuan Zhou, determined to fulfill the promise to Ruyi to "stay alive" would've worn this armour. It would've helped him survive the spears to a degree, but he'll probably be badly wounded.

The one hiccup I could see is Ruyi's internal dialogue when she bombed the Pan leaders. She said that life is empty without Yuan Zhou, when she bombed the bad guys. This could be explained by two scenarios:
- She wasn't sure that Yuan Zhou survived, and decided to kill herself, but changed her mind later. She did promise Yuan Zhou to stay alive, and she also told Yang Ying that she's not the type to kill herself. How did she survive? Uh, this is the same woman who could speed up to the leader of the Beipan troupe, rip out his throat, and return to cradling Yuan Zhou, in seconds. Her survival is easier to explain than Yuan Zhou's.
- It was her way of saying that she'll be joining him in seclusion. Even if there were vibrant cities to visit, life is lonely without Yuan Zhou. Remember, she didn't want to live in seclusion at first, and that was the reason for their break up.

If I were to stage my death, I'd do it this way - in the most dramatic and public way so that will be no doubt left of my demise.

And I think they did it SO WELL that even the viewers were deceived lol.

When it comes to wounds, we shouldn't judge whether a character can survive their wounds by our real-world standards. I know that our other Musketeers had less grave wounds and died, but they probably weren't as determined to stay alive like Yuan Zhou and did not plan for all kinds of contingencies - life preserving pill, snake skin armour etc.

I still remember in one wuxia I watched, a female heroine managed to survive numerous stab wounds because she took a pill that allowed her heart to beat super slowly so that she would not lose too much blood. So, who knows that pill could do for Yuan Zhao?

Some people say that I believe in this happier ending because it's a form of copium. Not really. I would've been fine if they did a "they all died and reunited in heaven" thing.

But based on clues, and the way the scenes in the last few minutes were laid out, it was just far more logical for me to believe that they faked their deaths than it was a dream/afterlife.

It is a far bigger stretch for me to believe that Chu Yue was guided by a random spirit kid to heaven. (For one, that's a rather Western view of the afterlife, and Chinese afterlife is a little different. As far as I know, unless you are an immortal, the dead can't have kids in the afterlife.) Also, the insinuation that she kinda lost her marbles towards the end was insulting to me. And why would she dream up a random kid instead of Shi San?

That scene with everyone on the grasslands riding away? Well, to me, it was Chu Yue's idealistic imagination of how the group was in the past as she yugged Ning Shi San. So, it made sense that scene was dream-like.

I would've been more convinced of the afterlife theory if they showed Chu Yue suddenly appearing in the CGI fields, looking dazed. But she arrived with her men, and we saw a shot of the school before that. Later, we learned that Ning Shi San lived next to the school with his parents. Why show us that unless to indicate that this rooted in reality?

I believe everything took place in the real world, and Chu Yue is about to meet our beloved couple.

Ruyi and Yuan Zhou began their "Journey to Love" coming out of hiding after faking their deaths. Now the story ends with them faking their deaths again. Ending a drama about spies and assassins this way was perfect for me.

It was Ruyi and Yuan Zhou's dream to lead a normal life. While Ruyi didn't want to leave a secluded life, she eventually came around and decided that the "world will be too lonely without him" and joined him in seclusion.

Using Chu Yue instead of Yang Ying in that scene was good, because Chu Yue wouldn't have known all these small details about their plan on how to live their lives in seclusion. Remember how Yuan Zhou said that in their new lives, he would keep Ruyi healthy by hunting and farming? And he did just that, growing grapes and making wine for her. They also named their children after two people whom they loved: Shi San and Yuan Lu.

Would I have preferred an ending where some of our men survived and we were shown Ruyi and Yuan Zhou alive having dinner with their kids? Of course. But well, the director decided to go down this route, perhaps for it all to be "stylish".

But the more I think about it, the happier I am with the ending. Of course I would've done anything to get our men back, but war is shit and awful, and people die. In the end, I thought the ending was poetic and very fitting.

PS: Anyway, if you believe, like most, that they're all dead, it's okay, but if you're going to argue with me that I'm wrong to believe what I believe, I won't respond to you.

I'm just sparing myself the energy because I've read through every single explanation of why the dream/afterlife ending "made sense" and none of the explanations hold water for me. No point arguing about something that can't be verified (yet) anyway!
It's a pity, however, that so many who were spoiled about the ending has said they won't continue with the drama. I think they would be missing out on a lot.

Philosophy and Penalties of Death

This drama is dark with a philosophical take on what it means to take your own life and the value of life itself. I felt it took a strong opinionated approach on the value and the meaning of a life despite how trapped, sad, and dire one's circumstances are. In a world that is becoming increasingly hyper competitive with the sociopathy of capitalism , more socially isolating but at the same time hyper socially connected in ways that can be superficial and heightens the loneliness we feel with our comparative social standing to others, the protagonist is a victim of these circumstances. He runs into a series of misfortune and mishaps for years, he seems to be unable to catch a break and feels stuck in a life where he is constantly hustling in several lowly paid and low status jobs while his youth is being sucked away from him. All he wanted was to make a decent living in a real job, marry his girlfriend and have a family but it seems even that "middle class dream" is out of reach. What is a man to do when he is grinded down to the point where he sees no hope, no future worth living for?

The drama seems to take a hard stance or at least Death does when she puts the protagonist through a series of tests in the bodies and lives of different people from all walks of life who are destined to meet their end unless the protagonist can figure a way to avert death. If he averts death, he can have his chance to live again. Death raises the questions: Was it a selfish decision he made to take his life? Did he consider the impact on his loved ones? Did he take his life for granted? While he took his life, there were others who had no free will when their lives abruptly ended.

The acting is good, the ML has taken unconventional roles in the previous dramas and the FL as Death was in Parasite. It also has an unconventional approach where the ML reincarnates into different people, multiple actors take the lead in different storylines.

The storyline is incredibly fast paced, engaging, and at times difficult to stomach with its traumatic dark themes.

?

This shows cupid kitchen is absolute shit. Not a single character in this show is worth sitting through 40 episodes of the show. First, in the storyline with Elise Quentin, she poisons the male lead so that he would lose his taste because she was so in love with him. And then there was the guy who helped her hide the fact that she was poisoning the male lead and he did this because he was in love with her. Even though Elise told him that she was in love with the male lead. Second, the main lead was both so annoying. The male lead was annoying because he was always bashing the female lead. I get it I love to see a grumpy male lead in dramas more than anyone, but this man would just do this constantly degrade, and just say rudest things to the female lead. And the worst part is that he would act nice one day and then the next day he would go batshit crazy and go off on the female lead. And don't get me started on the female lead after all this would happen after he made her cry again for the millionth time she would end up forgiving him after he said a few nice was if any. This show has no reason to be 40 episodes of just pure garbage. I wanted to like this show it had to do with cooking and I love cooking but this show is just a disgrace. No amount of my favorite actors could fix this show it was just a bad show. The person who created this show needs to seek because this show was shit. I don't even remember what episode I left off on but the fact I started this and wasted minutes out of my day to watch this is sad

Wolves disguised as Sheeps.

This story is pure fiction, thriller and horror. It turns out that during a school retreat, the students of a class find themselves alone and locked in the Mafia Game. There are the Citizens who must find the Mafias, and they are helped by the Police and Doctor, while the Mafias must kill all the citizens. Every day, the Citizens must vote for a person they believe to be one of the Mafias, and they must then hide during the night because they are immobilized in a sleep while the Mafias hunt to kill them. It's a cruel and bloody game of cat and mouse that gives rise to desperate and even psychopathic characters.

The series really took the storytelling from a fairly human and brutal angle. We end up with teenagers who kill each other and betray each other between friends, who do unspeakable acts to each other, and the worst is that we can sense desperation and that they hate the fact that they have to do this to survive.

The key word is not to stand out to draw suspicion, and until the last episode there were revelations about characters that we didn't suspect.

The only downside is the ending, although I was expecting a sort of simulation, and that it spoils the story a bit as unrealistic, it teases a second season that I hope will see the light of day. Otherwise, even with this kind of ending, the series is very much enjoyable for its thrilling and suspenseful moments.
