It's not that bad!

I am currently at ep 6. I was so hesitant about this serie because of the ratings.
The only thing I could say, it's not a Not me, Manners of death aso.
But I think it should have a place between the 7.5-8 rating bl series.

The story is well...unique I think. This is not a cute, fluffy serie. It's more about a ruined, toxic relationship which reaches it's limits when one of them got into an accident. It's like the reward or outcome of this toxic relationship. But after this happened the other one realizes, how selfish and spoiled he was. After this, they are trying to go back to normal, eventhough the injured one lost all of his memories about their love and he also tured back to his old, more agressive, cold self.

This isn't a series where you are looking forward to the next eps with a rush. I think this is more like a slower serie, with some "action" sometimes. And yeah maybe there are some useless parts of the eps, forexample the speech on the cast-off party. And yes it can be boring sometimes.

The acting is not that bad I think. The actor of Day is really amazing! Well the others... usual thai bl serie actors (not the good ones). But it's not that distracting and not that bad. At least this is only my opinion, maybe I am just used to thai trash series.

The characters are fine I think. Itt is really annoying in the first ep but don't worry he will be kinda normal after this (at least so far). Tbh the attitude of Itt in the first ep is thanks to Day, who let him be like this.

So yeah, I did not finished it yet, but I will in a few days, this is enjoyable. I just wanted to leave a review to the others who are so hesitant about this like I was. ^^

time slip, contract marriage and bae inhyuk’s dimples… can it get any better?

Is The Red Sleeve end of year success happening again? the answer is YES. This drama is having such an incredible ranting in sk for a reason. Eye catching from the very first episode, this show is a a keeper. No unnecessary scenes, amazing pacing, well written characters and a great cast. You can’t ask for more.

After being done so dirty in his last drama, this story has made bae inhyuk some justice. Kang Taeha gets more entertaining with every episode. Of all the young actors in currently airing dramas, he’s got to be the one with the best performance. Of course, having the powerful Lee Seyoung as your co-star sure helps a lot! She can’t do nothing wrong. They are wonderful cp. Lots of chemistry.

EPIC LOVE STORY

The most beautiful roma;nce and action drama. The plot was stormy and original enough, not to get bored, but made you can not stop watch it. For me it is difficult to watch fast or focused, but this one was the only drama that I loved so much. Charactes and cast was amazing, especially the protagonists. Everyone could feel the love of main lead, because was infinite. That drama, made me high my standars about love. The story between the two of protagonists was sad, but I was relieved when they end up together. This drama was completed as story and didn't let questions, so I liked it. I was disappointed about the music. The only thing that I didn't like was music and the artists of music. Of course, I will watch it again. Now I cannot watch other drama because I can't overcome this plot and this excellent acting.
I recommend it safely, it was the most unexpected excellent historical drama, that I have ever seen.

It ain't my cup of tea

I dont know what to say... its just a series that only has two actions.. one, there are zombies coming to eat the humans, two, some human in the group dies as either a self-sacrifice or a helpless thing. its just the same thing repeated throughout the series, sometimes sprinkled with unnecessary high-school crush ingredients. I dont really see why I should consider it a great production.
Divergent was also a dystoptic/survival picture, but I feel like it had more plot twists and STORYLINE that AOUAD is clearly missing.

very simple but super adorable

I should start by saying that i usually enjoy dramas with more thrill or supernatural tropes, but i was still really hooked by this.

This drama was about growing up, falling in love, and life in general and the hardships that come with it. The stages and problems that come with adolecence were captured really well.
Its important to note, that this was a slow burn.

The cast was great! I watched a few of Zhao Lu si's dramas and really adore her acting. She tends to have great chemistry with everyone but her and Chen Zhe Yuans chemistry was unreal!! They looked so in love and their kisses were great!

The drama showed Sang Zhi at very different ages and her styling was always very suitable: the hair, clothes, shoes and phone cases really reflected her age well in my opinion. Same for Jia Xu, but it wasnt as noticable.

Next, about the characters:
- Sang Zhi is very kind, creative, pretty, caring and hard working. She is not perfect and gets protected by Jia Xu but she still stands up for herself and can deal with her problems on her own.
Especially in Cdrama, the female characters tend to be weak and always need their ML to save them so i was really positively surprised by how strong and independent she was.
She was very popular in school but only had two suiters that we know about and they did not trouble her after she rejected them.
The only thing i did not like about Sang Zhi was how soft and 'babyish' her voice was even when she was an adult. It was just a little unsuitable for a strong girl like her in my opinion.

- Jia Xu is a very nice, supportive, hard working, handsome and determined character. He has trouble concerning his family and is financially not well of. He is very skilled and smart but not to the point were he gets annoyingly perfect.
especially the male leads in Cdramas are often emotionless and can do everything perfectly, but he is not like that and i love it!
Moreover, whenever he appears the girls in the back often whisper "handsome" but not 1596 girls have a crush on him at the same time and are annoying and hate Sang Zhi. There is one girl, that troubles him and Sang Zhi because of her feelings but there is also more to it than just attaction and jealousy.

- San Yan and his parents. I always loved seeing them. The whole family was so cute and supportive. They bickered, supported and worried about each other. that was great to see.

This Drama showed a really cute, wholesome, nice and helathy relationship. He asked for concent before holding her hand and kissing her, there was no gaslighting, no frustrating miscommunication, just love.

Sang Zhis relationship with her dorm mates was also really beautifully shown. No jealous friends or anything like that.
Jia Xu and his work-colleagues were also very cute and him and his college friends had nice and realistic friendhips! (i also liked that the plump character Qian Fei got married)

The music was alright. Nothing great or emotional but it fit the vibe well.

Even though i'm glad that there were no unnecessary conflicts, there was also some drama missing, every problem got resolved after a few episodes and that made the drama alittle flat or boring at times. also the timeline was not always easy to follow. One time i thought i missed an episode because it started with a random scene.

All in all, it was a very cute drama, that showed a more realistic, mature, simple and happy relationship. At times it was a little boring if you like dramas with more action.
I can't picture myself rewatching it anytime soon, but i did enjoy it so maybe i will in the future.

charming rom-com

It definitely was a cute rom-com. I randomly found this through a Netflix recommendation so I didn't have any expectations going into it, but it kept me entertained.

What I'm a little disappointed in is that Song-ah was never held accountable for her actions and walked all over Hyun-seung. After the breakup, we didn't see anything about how the main leads were dealing with it; instead, we were rushed to a happy ending with Hyung-seung still being madly in love with Song-ah.

I was pleasantly surprised by the side stories, they were really well thought out.

Overall, I enjoyed the drama and recommend it to anyone who wants an easy watch rom-com.

An Underrated Gem, My Pleasure

❗AN UNDERRATED MASTERPIECE ❗

Unexpectedly, This drama has come to become My top 1 drama of 2022. And Having the CP as No1. Of 2022 for me! Yet underrated, but it has proved to be better than Most s+ projects out there!❤️

An excellent plot, A loveable squad of cast, A fair chemistry distribution intact, Humor and Suspense collide into an amusing Youthful feel taking you from Past to future!
Wait... what's there to not love about this drama?!❤️❤️❤️

What if you were at that heavy Moment of crisis in life and you suddenly get an mp3 that allows you to talk to younger self 12 years ago? What would you do? Would you try change it all from the past and rewrite your terrible Future? Even if it meant giving up your dreams?

Well let this drama answer that nostalgic question for you through this nostalgic tale of Dreams and Youth at it's beautiful best.

I really enjoyed the character bound and how the story smoothly flows from FL Future self,an actress at verge of 30, surrounded by a heavy scandal and her past 18 year old highschool self struggling to achieve her dream of being an actress!
And I love their heartfelt interactions which proved didactic.

In an Beautiful tale of Past and future, What message would you like to give to your future or past self? Would it be a "Hello"? maybe "Did I make it?" Or maybe a "Let's fight harder"

Whatever it may be, Why don't you just sit back, relax and enjoy FL's Heartfelt tale of The me in two dimensions connected by an Mp3...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A series worth remembering for years to come!

I finished this series a few minutes ago. and am so happy to have found it!

The plot was what some would call a "basic" idea, but it impressed me beyond words. - It follows White and Black (yes, I know; who names their kids Black and White? But bare with me, because it works really well for them), a pair of twins that got separated ten years ago because of their ability to feel the other one's feelings; ex. when dying or feeling extremely happy. But Black gets into an accident, making White join his gang to find out who it was who hurt Black - while pretending to be Black, aka taking his place.

Some hiccups of the production would be the extremely abrupt jumps from scenes. It made me kinda confused the first few times, thinking my computer was acting up. But if you just look past it, I'm sure you'll adore the series. The soundtrack is beautiful, the plot well written and the characters are rounded with lots of perspectives of life.

And the ACTING; yo! Gun Atthaphan's acting gave me chills at times. Especially when he had to act like two completely different characters (the twins), even sometimes in the same scene at once. He's so f*cking talented, it's beyond anything I've seen in a Bl Drama before. He made me love White and despise Black, being the same face for both of them. - And the other actors, and actresses (there's even a trans character!) are really good too. But Gun stood out to me, not gonna lie.

The series also takes up some interesting perspectives on life, especially societal struggles, making you reflect on your own society and laws. It shone a bright light on rich people acting above the law, while the lower society had to take the scraps thrown at them. - But it also shows no regard to whether the characters in question are gay or not. There's not a single character that acts up when two guys enter a relationship, and it's such a nice change from past BL dramas, not gonna lie.

If you've read this far; please give it a chance. I promise that you won't regret it! It's a "mafia" gang, going up against the rich, with QUEER sprinkled all over the place. What more can you want?

What I loved most about this series though was the fact that I really couldn't see where the plot was leading at times. I always tend to have a gut feeling about where the characters are heading. But this one made me think and think and think, making me crazy at times. And that was really special to me, making the series ten times more enjoyable.

GO WATCH IT NOW!

Highly Informative, Liberal, and Entertaining.

Intro:

I am someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy genres like: romcoms, drama, etc. I mostly watch thriller and crime series. I'd say that my standards and expectations when it comes to content I watch is quite high. I can, at times, be quite a biased critic, as I tend to enjoy content that aren't unaware of social issues. I do love social commentaries that intentionally include social issues in order to show its faults and impacts. I tend to shy away from content with characters that act in stereotypical ways and where characters are excused or applauded for their certain insensitive/ bigoted actions.

Story - 10/10

What I loved about the drama is how informative it was. I loved that sex and intimacy was displayed in very raw and refreshing ways. The use of anatomically accurate words for reproductive and pleasurable body parts was so refreshing to see, as Asian content rarely touches on these topics without censorship. There were many different forms and types of sexual relationships touched on the show. The show touched on the importance and the unfairness faced by menstruating people: the providence of free pads/tampons and the pain of menstrual cramps etc. Other social issues presented in the drama were: Transphobia, Homophobia, Fatphobia, Sexism, Misogyny, discrimination against diverse sexual needs like BDSM, Abortion, Unhealthy Parenting, Responsibilities, Dating Abuse, Consent, Use of Protection during Intercourse, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Trauma, etc. I personally felt that the topics spoken about in the series were done very well. It didn't seem inappropriate or insensitive, rather it was represented in a motivational manner.

All the leading characters were very different to each other but they also shared similarities which allowed them to be friends. The highlight of the show was the character arc of the protagonist Alex (acted by New). He was always a decent person but his choices and mistakes made him grow up to be a person he didn't expect to be. I loved that they showed how the MC's actions impacted others around him, whether those actions were intentional or not. The FL who's life was adversely affected by the MC was shown with so much complexity and sympathy. The MC's mistakes and actions were never completely or solely the MC's fault. His friends and those around him are equally responsible. The "MC's mistakes" were the lack of actions rather than the presence of faulty actions. Even though he was never to solely blame, he never held his ground and never stood for what he believed in. His growth were he stops avoiding and starts fighting was amazing.

The MC was actually the hero and the MVP of the series. He shined the most and left the biggest impression and had the largest impact on me. By the end of the drama, I came to the conclusion that the world needs more people like him. His second chance really did allow him to be better himself and get to know the people around him on deeper levels. he took that opportunity given to him and made the most of it.

The pacing of the episodes were good. Nothing felt too fast or too slow. The time travel didn't feel messy. Although there were some plot-holes and unrealistic odd developments; they were never memorable. I have to add that as much as I love the story there were parts where I felt it could have been better and parts where I felt that at times the message that needed to be delivered wasn't the best out of the options available.

Acting & Cast - 9.5/10

As always the acting was done wonderfully. New really suited his role well, he perfectly brought his character to life. I was very impressed by Fluke's and Thor's chemistry. The pair stole the show every time they were on screen. I'm continuously impressed by Sing Harit's versatile acting. He had a tough character to play in my opinion but he truly nailed it. I was so attracted to Silvy's aura and presences. She felt powerful even without speaking or moving. I've felt that Joong tends to always act in similar roles. He's often the guy who’s shy but also straightforward, the guy that seems stoic by is actually a romantic, and the soft spoken guy with clear boundaries. But he really does eat up those roles every time. He's got a talent for making the viewer feel like he's in love with them whenever he establishes direct eye contact with the camera. He wasn't a prominent character but oh he definitely stole everyone's hearts in that brief period. New was just the best choice to play Alex. He simply exudes Alex energy. He's always been a great actor, even still he continues to grow. I'd love to see him playing serious and dominating characters too.

Music & Sound - 9.5/10

The music was top notch for me. Their OST "Sweet but Naughty" really became one of my all time favourite songs. It just felt right in an inexplainable way. Gawin's voice is just amazing to listen to. Sing Harit's "Safe Zone" was amazing too. I didn't really feel that the music stole the show. They were amazing to listen to individually but I barely noticed the songs when I was watching the drama. The music just blended into the scenes seamlessly.

Rewatch Value - 9.5/10

I this is one of the highest rating I've ever given to a show before. It wasn't forgettable but I'd watch it again just to be informed of the various social issues discussed. Plus I don't think I can ever get enough of New as Alex. The show was just being a green flag left and right. The relationships between the leads all grew to be so refreshing healthy.

Overall - 9.5/10

I loved the series. I recommend everyone to watch it. It's such a open-minded series when comparing to usual Asian content we are exposed. It was a satisfying watch and felt inspirational. Some of those characters were truly badass icons! I didn't know if I wanted to be them or do them.

Thanks for reading so far <3

A good drama to watch after a slump

I don't usually write reviews for the dramas that I watch but I feel like I should write one for this one.

From the very first episode I was hooked. It was enjoyable and interesting. It has some aspects as like a "cinderella story retelling", except with a few more changes which are definitely more interesting than an actual retelling.

The music for the drama was picked out quite well and it fit the scenes perfectly.

The cast did an amazing job!!! Even the actors that played the villains did an incredible job based off of how much I despised them.

The main plot line was revenge, but I feel like the story slowly morphed into something even more, something quite healing for the main leads.
Overall, this is a very good drama to watch, especially if you're someone like me who has been in a drama slump for a good year or two.

A light drama that's great to watch

This drama is quite light to watch. The storyline is not too heavy to understand. Suitable to accompany the daily life of the audience. Although the plot twists are not very visible, the drama is still worth watching. The friendship story in this drama is worth enjoying and not boring.

Embracing Responsibility: How Haru and Dan-oh Teach Us to Shape Our Own Destiny.

However, the 'trumpet creeper' mentioned in their previous literary work is utterly nonsensical if it were to be transformed into an actual comic ( out of this series ). I mean, why would the author choose to eliminate the main character? It defies all logic. I wholeheartedly agree with Dan-oh's assessment that this writer is abysmal, and it's highly unlikely that anyone would appreciate their book in the real world. How amusing! I must admit, though my own words may lack coherence, they too fail to make any sense.
Ah, but this series is simply exquisite. I have indulged in its brilliance time and time again, and each viewing leaves me in tears when Haru vanishes. The pain of Dan-oh resonates within me, causing tears to flow incessantly. Yet, I find myself laughing and smiling like a fool whenever Haru and Dan-oh share a moment. It's as if all else fades away, and I am fully present, basking in the sheer joy of that very instant.

I have pondered this extensively and reached a profound conclusion: the writer is akin to a GOD, the characters represent us, and the scenes embody fate. Only when we become aware of our own existence (awakening to our oneness) can we triumph over the harsh realities of the world and live happily ever after, just like Haru and Dan-oh. Fate is merely an illusion, ingrained in us from a tender age. "Do not fret, remain resilient, and venture into the darkness, for God shall safeguard you." But why? No one will come to your rescue; you alone bear the responsibility for your own well-being, and you alone are accountable for everything that befalls you. Dan-oh and Haru assumed responsibility for their own lives and transformed their entire world. It is truly a beautiful notion. I adore it.
By relinquishing the notion of a protective God or an external ruling force, we can truly embrace the responsibility for our own actions and cease attributing everything to the whims of fate. We are the architects of our own reality, crafting our own world. However, I am uncertain if any of you will grasp the essence of my words. If you do, I wish you the best of luck and send you an abundance of love, accompanied by a warm embrace.

I wasn't doing that but since everyone is comparing, here I go

The only dating show I was able to watch and finish is His Man (season 2 was better then the first too) and this show was advertised like a similar one so I gave it a try. I see a lot of people saying they prefered this one but it is not my case. I agree that the cast was more friendly but this is a cultural difference and in the end both casts are real life friends, it just shows that people express themselves in a different way. A big part that got me curious about HM is that, many countries don't have any gay dating show and a country like SK did it despite homophobia being the norm there. And I think it added a thing to the show in the sense that you have some 30+ yo man that haven't yet come out and get to be themselves and get to know people freely for a week at least. On the other hand, BLB had a way more various cast and they seem to know themselves better. It did turn into a friendship show which didn't bother me at all.
I think my main issue with that one compared to its inspiration is that the story/editing didn't do it for me. I know the budget is not the same but a lot of moment were confusing. The phone call were you ask someone to pass it out to the one you want to call. A bunch of scenes where they're filmed standing like Sims like the scene were they danced in line and it just doesn't feel natural. If the relationships feel genuine, the way the show edit anything is weird in my opinion. The fact that for 3 episodes they do anything but the main plot is that someone is leaving and in 5 minutes we learn that nobody is leaving.
I try to think about some questionnable producer's choices like the editing of them showering for 1 min, or them just randomly stretching in front of the house, idk
I also feels like the interviews felt unecessary. It's supposed to be an insight and help with knowing what's going on in their head but they mostly just made superficial observations about the scene we just saw.

Overall I still like it a lot and without HM existing I feel like I would make the same critics, I wouldn't mind a S2 at all, it was still really enjoyable mainly beacause of the cast. I think both the cast of HM and BLB are good, I always find a few of them that I can relate to but it's also about preferences. I'm from France but I feel like my temperament is closer to some of the hm2 cast and watching someone saying he grabbed my d*** two times or them talking about their group bath isn't the most confortable to watch for me.

Psychopath + Body Switch + Light Comedy!

They switch body faster than I thought, so it starts off on a fast pace. It keeps me wanting to watch next episode. Somewhere near the end, I find it a bit messy but it surprises me with plot twist after plot twist

I really enjoy the show, especially ML's acting!! The FL was a bit annoying, even after the body swicth lol, but come around okay towards the end. So, stay on!

While I agree with how it ends, but I wish it's a little different. I think the ML's sense of justice to protect others are quite twisted. It's not as touching or heroic as the drama makes it out to be

For someone who is so kindhearted, talented and bright, I can't understand why he made all the decisions he made at all. In fact, it's quite frustrating and disappointing

That's just more like my personal opinion.

Putting that aside, the show is really exciting to watch, and it's really funny too. We've quite a sidekick too!

The mix of detective + psycho path + body switch somehow works really well
