Easily climbed up my list of favourite dramas <3

I finished watching it just before writing this and tho I do want to write a better review, I can't seem to get my mind together and write what I feel at the moment (but I'm still writing it because I do not want to lose this feeling that I have after completing the drama, so idk if this will be helpful in any way).

it's a drama I love very much. I didn't think it'd make its way to my heart when I didn't even finish watching it. but it did, wonderfully at that. and I don't regret watching it even while I've got tons of things to study šŸ˜šŸ„².

the cast was amazing, they portrayed their role so well and the emotions were conveyed through the screen perfectly for me. especially when (spoilers) Eun Gyeol (Ryeoun) is fighting his dad in the earlier ep about wanting to join a band. damn, I could feel how frustrated and sad he must've been living a suffocated life where he has to be perfect so that people won't point fingers at his parents(this is my pov so you might disagree). also, Yoon Chung Ah's role was played perfectly by Shin Eun Soo. and of course Choi Hyun Wook and Seol in ah slayed. especially Seol in ah because she had to act out 2 people who look so similar yet they're so different when it comes to their personalities.

I wanted to see more of the ending when they go back to 2023 after resolving whatever they could've done in 1995. plus I wanted to see a short glimpse of Chung Ah finally going on that trip with her dad (I swear it made me so happy when I saw her dad use sign language to ask her about the trip, it was so lovely. he finally realised his mistakes then). Eun Gyeol might've not been able to change his father's destiny but at least he changed his mother's. and doing that changed his lifestyle in 2023 as well. whatever is meant to happen will happen so I'm just satisfied with how his mom's life changed. Though I'd be lying if I said I didn't hope that yi chan's accident didn't happen but I soon had to accept the fact that you cannot change everything that has happened back in the past. those ripple effects would've eventually led to a bigger effect later on in 2023 when he returned. I think it was a suitable ending in this case :')

that's it. Thank you to the people who made twinkling watermelon, they made the best decision ever! (now someone please gimme my own Ha Eun gyeol)

It's fine.

Yea we watched it for Nam Goongmin...

His dedication to his roles is honestly unmatched. Honestly the real shining star for this show is the actors. The plot itself is a little predictable but seeing the actors pull it off was amazing.

Everyone brought their A game for sure! I was hoping that this would be as exciting as Vagabond but its a little more subdued... The action is brutal and realistic. NGM really drops his usual playful attitude and becomes someone else. Def gonna rewatch ep 1 for YEARS to come.

It's so good!

A wonderful comedy that is elevated by its cast in every way. It was such a fun experience. So glad I had the time to rewatch it.

The only thing holding it back was that some of the villians are so dumb. No one dies in the show despite the fact that there are multiple assassination attempts, yeah they're that stupid.

Honestly that just adds to the humor!

The music, cast, and plot are all perfectly balanced. It's nearly perfect. I wish a little more attention was paid to the romance, but I'm glad I didn't have to sit through another love triangle.

A Delectable Mash Up Of Tim Burton Wes Anderson & Rainman Ā°Flutters SuperiorĀ°

Bring your own smores.

I won't try to describe this. Just get in the camper and journey with these characters.

This review, and the show itself is not about splitting hairs over the level of accuracy vis-a-vie certain mental ailments or whether the plot is plausible. Trust me, I understand the pain mental illness brings home. The show creators are giving us a little therapy and laughter in the hurt. It's entertaining enough to mute outside interference and provide a safe space for a little escape.

Every element is a win: Acting, costumes, characters, character arcs, sets, plot, dialogue, writing, directing, and soundtrack. (I want to jump in and have my own nice, long, cathartic, airing-out-my-lungs argument with this gang. What an emotional high-colonic that would be.)

It all comes together to make something that is truly stylish, sad, sagacious, sanguine, and... SUBLIME. It is way better than just okay.

There are different paths one can take to reach their destination.

I have such conflicting and mixed feelings about this show. There were 2 or 3 episodes that seemed too perfect to be true, but at the same time, I weirdly felt a lot of emptiness as I watched. The drama kept building up the nostalgia, the longing, fear of missed opportunities, forgotten past and unsure future, but it never reached the climax - at some point it completely emotionally plateaued and stayed this way till the end.

The non-linear storytelling of First Love bothered me at first, but I grew to appreciate it even if it just fueled the depressing vibes the drama presented. There was a lot of low-key relatable sadness and the lack of positivity in the characters, the emptiness of their lives just slowly crept in and kept me up at night wondering if I am not on the similar path of loneliness. And Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s a good or bad aspect of the drama though...

I cannot say it was all sad. One of my favorite things about First Love was Noguchi Yaeā€™s relationship with her son. A great portrayal of love and sacrifice, but also support and trust. Watching their little family dates was just calming and heartwarming. Whatā€™s more, I loved the support system Noguchi Yea had around her, even if she was not fully aware of its existence. She was so used to keeping to the sidelines so she did not notice how many people liked and appreciated her.

On the other hand, some plotlines and relationships did not get enough of the closure I wished for. Some past encounters, decisions that were made - lacked the resolution, conversation andā€¦ ending.

Luckily you can forget it all and truly get immersed into the story thanks to the great performance of the whole cast, but especially our leading couple both in the past and present: Mitsushima Hikari and Satoh Takeru, and Yagi Rikako and Kido Taisei. Some of the best casting for younger versions of the characters I have ever seen. The actors matched each other's dynamics, presentation, interpretation of the characters perfectly! There were a lot of moments where strong emotions had to be presented in a subtle way, and they delivered it and much more.

As for the production, Iā€™m just glad that even though itā€™s a Netflix production, it has that unique melancholic styling Japanese dramas perfected throughout the years, while adding the high production value a big company like Netflix can achieve.

Overall, it was for sure enjoyable and surprisingly good for binge watching. Chances are that if I watched it at a different time, when my mood was more in the ā€œlooking for nostalgic feelingsā€ state, I'd have enjoyed it a lot more.

Short and cute - worth your time

This series does not bring something new or special to the table. But it's really cute and the actors are beautiful. Especially Ms. Oh Yu Jin. I think she did a tremendous job and made the series worth a watch. I was surprised to find that she was True Beauty's FL's best friend in that series.

The Good:
- Ms Oh Yu Jin. Beautiful and an excellent actress
- But overload at the end. A couple who really love each other and show it.
- Simple story, which was the right length

The Sub-Optimal
- Nothing new here
- Acting generally good, but not great

So...
Don't expect to much. Enjoy a quick binge.

Thai flavor body swap romance

I decided to watch this because it's been a while since A Tale of a Thousand Stars and I missed EarthMix, it was good watching them work together again, and overall this was a cute watch.

The story was fine, misunderstandings led to hate in what used to be close relationships, then an accident caused two siblings (Win & Lin) to swap souls and Win has to pair up with Korn who he now hates to go on a journey to ensure their souls return to their bodies. To be honest a lot of the buildup seemed to be for no reason, the misunderstandings don't make a lot of sense in the end. Kind of gives off a "what was the point" kind of feeling, or "if you knew that then why..", it was a bit of a mess at the end. I thought the journey was good and wholesome overall, but it all felt a little like we were waiting for some big reveal and then at the end it was just a bit flat.

Tha acting was good, but I think the characters were all pretty shallow, not a lot of depth or character growth. Win(Mix) grew a lot as a character, but it wasn't very believable, Mix is a fantastic actor, but this drama didn't do it for him. Their chemistry was just okay, I mean this is EarthMix here, they have chemistry just by being in the same room, but there wasn't any special closeness in this drama.

Production was good, pretty scenery and landscape, good quality shots, music was decent as well.

I wouldn't rewatch it, but that's not abnormal for me.

If you need an EarthMix fix, go ahead and give it a watch! It's a cute watch overall, but if you're looking for the show that makes you fall in love, try something else.

Underrated small in-game mini-show

This is a sweet and cute mini show with an interesting storyline. A small gem in my opinion. Despite the short format, it doesnā€™t feel rushed.
Character wise:
FL is a sweet and cute young woman who falls into a game. There she takes the identity of a female assassin from an enemy state who comes to marry the Prince. But getting to know her target, make her change her mission.
ML is a Prince and the assasination-target, and marriage partner, of FL. As he gets to know FL he realizes that she is not the spy he thought.
Acting wise this is pretty good. The actors do a very good job within the limited timeframe.
Well, if you love a fast paced, sweet and romantic mini show - with an interesting storyline - this is definitely well worth watching.

Safe watch

This drama really tell story about high school student & romance. So for you who afraid to watch too vulgar drama, this is a safe watch, no mature content except kiss.

This drama tell story about "Tinn" Tinnaphob Jirawatthanakul who fall in love with his high school friend "Gun" Guntaphon Wongwitthaya. But the relationship no more than classmate for 2 years. And finally in the last year Tinn with the courage of his friend, "Thiu" Thiuson Sophonpatima, start to put more effort to approach Gun.

This drama also tell story about Gun's relationships with his band member. About their struggle with romance & school. About family relationships, of course Tinn & Gun family. About friendship, failure & fear. And finally about dream after high school...

Oh yeah the soundtrack is also one of tbe best song out there....

What lack of this drama:
- They never really explained to us the relationship of "Sound" Saran & Tinn before. It's like Sound have grudges against Tinn that we don't know what. Maybe we should watch the whole series to understand their relationship....

Overall this one complete package drama with nothing exaggerated more than it's portion.

much better than expected. I recommend a watch

I have read marry my husband and the manhwa for this show. The manhwa is just a cheap copy of marry my husband but I must say that the drama did 10times better.

The story was not something out of the ordinary just a general plot with some not so strong villains. tbh I did not really see a villain hear and I was more curious about Yoo Ra then the main leads.

Acting and casting was amazing but I could not help but think of the fl as a damsel in distress and someone who needs protection. I could not see her as a brave and fierce fl as I has hoped.

personal thoughts aside I should say it did a great job as in drama works it is rare to see a second chance drama. The plot held out nicely and the ost was great. The plot full of unexpected twistes and turns.

and most importantly a happy ending

In the end I recommend a watch

Watch this drama without hesitation

First, my greetings to the Japanese drama, which is characterized by its short duration and the gravity of its events, after the most of Japanese drama I become
full of feelings to the point that I do not know to express what I feel, and this is what happened in this beautiful drama Crazy Money. Secondly, my greetings to the heroes of the drama, especially the hero, he gave me the feeling that he is not real from the abundance of creativity in performance. Third, the story, which showed the importance of money and that sometimes it becomes a curse that curses those who need it.In this drama, the hero almost lacks any feeling except the desire to take revenge and get money, and if in return for this he will kill or destroy, he destroyed his world and the points of light in it, starting with his girlfriend in childhood and then his wife, who loved him unconditionally until he destroyed the family that gave him some hope, but at the end he tried to save them. Unfortunately, he failed to save himself, and I am deeply saddened by the last episode, as it showed the contradiction between what happened and what would have happened if circumstances had been different. In the end I offer my greetings for this work and that I am hard to skip it.
