Why not?

Well I wonder how no one apart from the doctor found out that she is actually a girl, but it's pretty funny anyway!
I hope this is gonna get better, and the ending was pretty interesting!

not bad

It had a completely different feel to it then Hana Kimi, but that's to be expected I guess. The character's are definitely prettier, but i find this version a lot 'duller'. Hana Kimi is meant to be ridiculous, that's part of its charm. and the bonding of the dorm students. Oh well it is the first episode of course so its not like i can really judge.
One thing that is really bugging me is the random sound effects placed throughout the episode... like a 90s cartoon. its really bugging me.

Jumping on this bandwagon :)

Since I haven't read the manga nor seen the other versions, my opinion is completely unbiased.

I am a bit confused as to why a young woman with so much going for her (based on her transcripts-unless they are fake) would drop everything to follow this guy. I'm not sure what it is, but she looks/acts nothing like a boy :( Is this a casting boo boo or did hair and makeup not do a good enough job? Yoon Eun Hye (Go Eun Chan-Coffee Prince) and even Park Shin Hye (Go Mi Nam-You're Beautiful) did a much better job portraying males.

There's a lot of eye candy .. gorgeous people, a beautiful school, and so far a few charming characters. My favorite character so far is Cha Eun Gyeol :) I liked the fact that she was found out by the doctor at the end .. speeds up the plot. And to be honest, for a doctor to examine her and not find out would have been ridiculous (We all know dramas are always realistic *scoff*).

I am enjoying this drama so far .. very few dramas have me wanting to watch the next episode right away. This is one of them.

better than Hana Kimi 2007

At first I thought it would be like Hana Kimi 2007, so I dropped it. But the first episode is so much better than expected. I loved it. The actors and the music are well chosen. There is just the right atmosphere.

Great!

In this version, I realized that the guys were much more harsher to Sulli. It made it more realistic though. The cast were picked out well but I think they could've done better acting. I think this drama is gonna be a really memorable one like Hana yori dango and You're beautiful (y'know, those ones that almost everyone has watched.)
One thing that I don't like is how obsessed Jaehee is with Taejun. Sometimes it's a bit over the top but I guess she's meant to be?
Eunkyeol was really cute ^^ I like how his relation is forming with Jaehee. She was revealed to be a girl quite quick though o.0
I really like the ending song :D

so-so

like a lot of people I've seen the other versions..except the 2011 japanese one, i couldn't .__. anyways, i also read the manga before i saw any of them so i don't expect everything from it to be put into the live action.

i was debating if i even wanted to watch this, seeing as kdramas always mess up dramas that they adapted. but i gave in since a lot of my friends were watching it and i don't love it but i don't hate it either.

it defiantly has it's good points but then it has a lot that i..can't get used to i guess. since korea always loves to be different and change things from others it'll take me a while to get used to new things...especially the characters T-T korean names are hard to remember lol and tbh a lot of them look alike so I'm just confused x____x

I wasn't supposed to like it but I do

As a loyal fan to the Japanese version of Hana Kimi I was opposed to this adaptation. Unfortunately, temptation got the better of me and I decided to take a peek at it. To my shame I have to say that I actually like it lol. I like the new atmosphere, I like the main girl (she's super cute), and I like the new situations. It can't even begin to compare to the 2007 J-version, but it's still kinda nice in it's own way. Oh and the suitcase part was hilarious.

not surprised

i went into this fairly sure i would not like it. i've seen this before and no i dont mean i've watched hana kimi. the gender bender is a bonafide genre is k-drama, but i had hoped that maybe this wouldnt be so....icky.
oh how i tire of this female lead. i say "this female lead" b/c she's appeared in dozens of k-dramas just with a different name. she is artless, desperate and well more than a little pathetic. you just have to wonder WHERE are this kid's parents or gaurdians? even when she seems to have alot going for her (like a real talent in track and feild) it is apparently rendered inert by her complete lack of self respect. in the real world such low self esteem is usually the product of years of abuse or mental illness. and in reality there is nothing cute or endearing about it.
but this isnt the the real world, this is drama land so i give ms.pitiful and her band of obviously BLIND buddies a chance. their performacnes were lack luster, not enough to over come the icky, which is sad b/c some one dumped a BUTT LOAD of money on this thing. aside from the story and the acting everything else is done beautifully.
i will probably give it at least 2 more episodes before i drop it compltely. i dont hold much hope. but hey it wouldnt be the 1st time i hated a 1st episodes and LOVED the restg of the series.

Refreshing!!!

For this episode, It was so shocking in a sense that you will have a goosebumps in every scene, why? well it is because it was so refreshing, the scene, the cast, and also the basic story was still in tack, even though it is the third version of hanakimi, the great deal for that is, It is somehow UNIQUE, or Unique, it was so flowing, not to exaggerated, and not to heavy, all I can say is that..

I will watch this 'till it ends

Loved it!!!!

It started out stong and unlike the other versions I was actually amused while watching. Korean adaptions always seem to add depth and dimension to an already outstanding plot so I'm looking forward to how this version will portray the story behind his injury and the motivation for her leaving America for hime.

It could be good. It might even already be.

It has potential. That's basically it. Potential.
For fans of the other adaptations, you might not love it yet but you won't outright hate it. Not quite yet.

But you won't love it yet either. So far...I just 'like' it.

They toned down the manga/anime esque feel of the Japanese/Taiwanese adaptations and gave it their own spin. Trying to keep the less wacky and more natural. I miss the crazy J-version antics but glad that the K-version did not attempt this.

There are some wonderful shots and the character development is tight-lipped. No 'as you know Bob' conversation just quickly trying to get the back stories out of the way. The drama teases us and keeps it interesting.

The supporting cast are there to do exactly that. Support. No unnecessary scenes and FINALLY AN ENGLISH SPEAKER WHO DOESN'T SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT!

Some chuckle worthy scenes well acted out(The suitcase scene especially).

I'm pleasantly surprised about how Minho doesn't suck. I was worried he would (MASSIVE SHAWOL by the way, not bashing - my love for him makes me super critical). He might just be able to get through this without making me cringe! But too early to start gloating in the faces of the haters. Sulli is adorable...so far. Fingers crossed it sticks. It might just work out.

Lee Hyun-woo makes an endearing Nakatsu. I can't wait to see him fall in love. So far, so natural. My Ikuta Toma bias hasn't made me want to punch him. So a success there. :)

Can't wait to meet the rest of dorm leaders properly.
This drama despite your biases does not suck...it isn't mindblowing but as far as first episodes go it has been a respectable opening.

It could be good, it might even already be.
Let's hope its doesn't disappoint.

Since I have never seen any other version...

I think it was fine. I find it amusing that she is found out and it is only episode 1. Hope this is worth all the hype.

It's Similar, but Different

So, this was an alright episode. On an unbiased level, I thought that the first ep was a really strong first episode. It started where it needed and introduced the first few main characters, but compared to the Japanese version, the first episode is highly lacking. I can already tell that this drama is going to be way mare serious than Hana Kimi.

FINALLY!!

So it's finally here! The first episode was good even though there were many different things compared to the japanese version, I think that change is good. It was a good episode and it introduced the characters and the plot well. It was fun and I enjoyed watching it. The first episode was good and I think that the 2nd episode will be better. Looking forward to more of this drama.

Yay finally the korean version :)

So the first episode was not so bad, its too early to say it isn't any good. Yeah their are some differences from the Japanese versions, but come on do we really want to get the same drama all over again. Change can be good.

I really hope this drama is more like the manga. Lets be honest out of all the hana-kimi versions, NONE can compare to the manga!!!!

So lets hope this version does its job...Fighting!! ;)

Not Good, not Horrible...

...just indifferent. I felt that the show itself is shot beautifully--although, I feel that the school is wayyyyy to ritzy to be a high school.

I wasn't moved by anyone in this episode--Sulli was okay, Minho was so-so, and I just didn't feel that anyone embraced their character except for the guy playing the Nakatsu character. I'm sorry if this offends any of the idol's fans...but I just wasn't impressed much with the acting.

Also, the written characterizations are off. I don't mind some change in characters, but we don't have a Kayashima, the dorm heads are all superathletes. The 3rd dorm guy is nothing like Oscar, and I think that might hurt this show because the relationship between the personalities of the dorm heads has always been one of the charming factors of Hana Kimi.I don't mind that the Kagurazaka character is now at the same school, however, but I wonder how that will change the interactions he has with the main characters.

I'll stick with this one, just to see what happens, but right now, it pales in comparison with any of its predecessors.

Good Potential

Unlike most people I haven't seen any of the Hana Kimi drama adaptions so the only thing I'm comparing this to is the manga (which I never finished :P).

I really set my eyes on seeing how Sulli performs as a guy this episode and I think Sulli's acting was acceptable--nothing more and nothing less. Other than the fact that is is extremely obvious that she is a female. She needs to deepen her voice or something..it is just too obvious.I wish Minho would overact a bit, because he seems emotionless to me. Hopefully as the drama progresses this will change.

So anyway.... Although there was a high level of overall predictability for character reactions, I think this episode was pretty good overall and was a fairly good start.

Introduction...

I actually like that they changed some things...but I SO WISHED FOR THE PLAIN OLD 2 STORY BED they sleep on in manga, it's so much more close, then another floor in the room *pouting*

I am still getting used to the characters, cause there were some I confused with each other... :P

I see they made Kagurazakawa in the same school and class as Mizuki and Sano... more intense and competitive... I didn't see Kayashima, don't tell me they didn't include his character at all... c'moooon, he's so fuun~!!! Nakao is the right amount annoying at the moment :P I already like the doctor :D

The main characters were very good here, I'll wait and see what's going to happen...

P.S. The scene in the toilet cracked me up and also when Sano...uh~ gotta use Korean names to remember... when Tae-Jun threw Jae-Hee out of the room :D

It's actually good

The first episode was good, not as intense as the Japanese one, no one can beat Nakatsu, the strange doctor and Nanba Minami, but I like it. The story changed a little, but it's still funny. The 2nd episode seems to be even better so I'll continue to watch it.
