I wanted to write a long and elaborated review, but seeing how other people who are more capable than I am in expressing their thoughts (in English) did a much better job I could ever do, I decided to keep it simple and short (and hopefully funny).
Together With Me got me so excited like ... well, never before. For someone who loves BL stories since many, many years, it's like a dream coming true. To be honest, I never had such a good dream.

STORY: Nothing we haven't seen before, but the execution was okay - until the end. There were some things I found pretty silly looking back. You wonder what all the "drama" (I'm quoting Korn, ep13)  was for. Well, it's called a love story (I'm quoting Knock). They could have done a better job showing us Knock's conflict. The so called "love" between him and Pleng was not visible, that made Konck's inability to figure out his own heart a bit unbelievable. I'm not a fan of the Bright/Farm relationship, but I appreciate how they tried to show us something different. TWM is not a series where only cute boys fall in love, it's much more. Talking about cute boys, the buffed up guys (of course I mean Korn7Knock) had many beautiful scenes together. You feel the love.

ACTING/CAST: Korn7Knock (Max&Tul) did a fabolous job like everyone else. I woudn't be able to point out a single weak actor in this series. Everyone was convincing and everyone was charming in his/her own way, even the bad guys.

MUSIC: Whoever put this series together, did a great job. I loved the background music.

REWATCH VALUE: There are some scenes I watched at least 20 times (no kidding!). I plan to continue with this schedule in the future. Nobody can take this away from me!!!

OVERALL: Not sure about the rating system here, I want to give it a 10. Even though the story didn't convince me 100% , other things did. 10 is well deserved. This series brightened up my sad little life. A big THANKS to the cast, the producers, and the writers.

On a sidenote: The kisses and intimate scenes were out of this world. Like I said, not even my best dreams could turn out that good :P

This. Is. Real. Talk.

Acting? Not the best acting performance I’ve seen on a Thai drama. Some moments were bordering awkward. Some facial expressions were tad bit exaggerated. There were times that the acting was either stiff or over the top. Storyline? Not the most well-written story. It was fan fiction-ish. It took so long for the conflicts to be resolved. Same issues kept on occurring time and time again. The plot was more complicated than it needs to be. Character development? Some characters were frustratingly unreasonable. I’m not sure if they were just being naive in every problematic situation or they were just being foolish. It was messy. Being logical or practical is never an option for some at all until they reached the finale.

We all knew how the love story of Korn and Knock ends because it was already concluded on Bad Romance. Since Together With Me is a prequel, I can just imagine how difficult it was for the writers to come up with a solid script to keep things interesting between the two main characters prior their relationship. It must be very challenging for them especially right now because, in this day and age, there are so many BL series coming out. The audience have a lot of benchmarks and we can’t help but to compare each one to another. Which has the best storyline? Who were the best in acting? Which couple has the best chemistry?

And so, this is why Together With Me stood out to me. The series has shown the audience one of the most essential aspects of a romantic relationship that other Thai BL series didn’t even dare to give us. The intimacy. The passion. The burning desire. This is the reason why it soared so high for me despite my quibbles. The intimate moments between Korn and Knock were exquisite. Max and Tul may not be the best actors out there but they have executed the love scenes so gracefully. They were natural and believable. The kissing scenes were not just for fan service. They weren’t thrown randomly in every episode. These moments were on point and remained relevant to the story. I highly commend Max and Tul for their commitment to their roles. Not all actors have the guts to do what they did on screen. They elevated romance to a new level of intimacy. From being the underdogs, they have succeeded in cementing their place in the Thai BL world by setting a new standard.

The series as a whole was brave in general in the sense that it breaks out from the typical formula of BL series. I don’t think we should still categorize it as BL because it’s not about boys’ love anymore but rather it’s a legitimate gay series. At least four important characters on Together With Me were profiled as gay. We have Korn the most sensible male character, the innocent Farm who just discovered his wild side, Bright the player and Mew who just kept growing on me every episode. They may seem to portray either the good side or the bad side of the lifestyle, which is subjective. But at least, finally, there were no pretensions. Everything was legit. It wasn’t groundbreaking but they have managed to push the boundaries. It was a complete game changer.

The true heroine of the story was Yihwa. Without Yihwa, Korn and Knock’s relationship wouldn’t happen. Without Yihwa, they wouldn’t find out the mastermind, who has caused all the trouble, that is Plern Pleng. Without Yihwa, the story wouldn’t be fun and engrossing. Without Yihwa, what’s the point of Together With Me? I love Korn and Knock so much but I adore Yihwa because she made everything happen almost single-handedly. Who wouldn’t want a best friend like Yihwa? She is now one of my most favorite female characters ever. And it is only fitting that she wrapped up the show.

Without Yihwa, no one would gather their housemates around in times of crisis. Together With Me has made me smile and laugh more than it made me fall in love because the real romantic scenes just happened towards the end. What kept me hooked was the group of people surrounding Korn and Knock. They were not just supportive and protective towards their friends. They were also hilarious even the tomboyish Fai and the black sheep P’Phu. The sound effects, as tacky as they seem, while delivering the punchlines were spot on. Their comedic moments together made me want to join their clique. Their chemistry as a group worked so well and at the same they were all memorable.

In the end, it was a wonderful ride. I’ve been waiting for this series to be aired since the official announcement after Bad Romance. In my opinion, aside from the unquestionable chemistry, Max and Tul are the most good looking couple. They are so gorgeous. They are on the top of my list right now in terms of looks. But what made this series special and stand out from the rest of BL series is that it was never afraid. It was daring and fearless. If you’re going to love, love all the way. And Together With Me has gone all the way and delivered. No holding back. No second guessing. No hesitation.

I've picked up this series because of the reviews and great comments about it and I must say that I did like it a lot!
But it wasn't exactly what I expected.
Now let me tell you why:
First episode will shock you out of your mind and then you'll be expecting that things will kind of go in this direction... but no... It will not...
Let's talk about MC : Korn is well aware of his feelings and he know what he wants, he's a very good person and so he's not so self absorbed to put himself as the most important person, he respects feelings and problems that Knock is facing. He's honest about his love for Knock but he doesn't push himself on him.
Knock is a hard nut to crack. He's having a very hard time understanding himself. Plus he's quite easily swayed as he trust some wrong people along the way. Sometimes I would get frustrated by his indecisiveness but then looking from his perspective I can understand how hard this must be for him.
This drama portrays budding love off Korn and Knock in the accompaniment of amazing group of friends that face problems together while carrying and helping each other.
But their relationship is not like most of the BL I've seen... It's more like a path to accept reality the way it is. Them getting really together is not imminent . It's a long path with many turns.
Their relationship as a couple was not easy to come true and so I hope they'll cherish it.
When it comes to acting its honesty really good! And I mean all the actors, not only MC's. This friendship I've seen in this drama made me so envious, it looked so genuine.
Chemistry .... oh when I had a chance to see some more intimate scenes my face was burning... So hot!!!

Over all this series is showing male x male relationship from a little different perspective and shows some other problem that couples can face and I really appreciate it.

Reccomend to watch.

Good and hot actors, but the story is so bad. It's hard to root for the main couple when the start of their romantic relationship started with rape. Then, there are two more rape instances in the show (Prae towards Farm and Bright forcing Farm to have a foursome). I'm okay if they addressed those as such, but they didn't, which doesn't convey a good message. I'm really uncomfortable with the teacher-student and doctor-patient relationships too. It's like this show collected a lot of problematic plot points. -___-

Knock is so stupid too, and it's like he doesn't really deserve Korn.

I'm also not a fan of vilifying women to push BL couples.

Only Yihwa made the series watchable for me.

I first started watching Together with Me because of the good reviews. I actually enjoyed it a lot but there were some things that I would've liked to see.

First of all the plot was very typical of BL series but I think it was still nice and overall well paced. However I would've liked to get more scnenes with the main couple because they were really cute. I felt that the story was focused more on the friend group rather than just the main couple which was amazing sometimes but also I felt like there were some unnecessary characters or scenes. It definetly got slower during the end and a bit dragged in my opinion as well. Also there were some questions left unanswered but since this has a sequel I think that's okay.

I loved Yihwa's character the most out of everyone to be honest, because she was the one with the most common sense. Towards the middle and the end, the main couple did some stupid things so some viewers could get frustraed with that. I also loved P'Bright and Farm's storyline in the beginning but I felt like they could've given them a better ending.
The cast was really good and the chemistry between the actors was enjoyable was well!

My verdict is that if you love BLs then this is probably a good drama for you since it has all the typical themes from BL dramas. If not then I would maybe skip but if you can give this a try!

Unlikeable characters (apart for Yihwa), and bad casting in my opinion. The side characters bored me to the point I was skipping their scenes and just getting back to Korn and Knock, and even then I wanted to knock their heads together.

Knock is a really horrible person who plays with Korn's emotions, and Korn feels very lifeless in the show. I appreciated the steamy scenes, and for being one of the first and only BL dramas I've seen that even shows deep/extended kissing and implied sex scenes (and shirtless kissing!), so that redeems it a little.

It's also obvious Yihwa is a main character from the previous series, so it seems like she kind of takes a lot of time up on the screen, and it almost feels like they make a convoluted plot that didn't need to be so complex just so they could get Yihwa to sort it out.

Also, as a side note, the translations available are poor and not brilliant for English native speakers, so the subtitles can trip you up and take from the scene (especially since LazySubber on kissdrama actually translates the scene well, but adds too many translation comments at the top that get in the way, yet the youtube HD version completely butchers some scenes).

Honestly, I just watched it to the end because I wanted to say I'd finished it and given it a chance, but it's not brilliant. I much prefer SOTUS over this and I recommend starting with that one if you're dipping your toes into Taiwanese BL.

I was about to start to watch Bad romance the series but as I saw a prequel came after i decided to wacth it first and :  OH MY !!!!!!!
It is simply THE VERY BEST BL SERIES EVER.
The chemistry of the main actors is indeniable, no peck on the lips , no like omg we dating but we do not kiss, nope. This is the real deal.
And i loved it.
I was lucky to watch under the englih dub by LazySubber ( hilarious sides comments by the way).
please sign this pettition here below, cause this world need more of Knock and Korn !!!!!!

The story is fantastic, especially the evolution and discovery of Knock true feelings. I loved the chemistry between the main couple, it was just wonderful. The most romantic scenes want it you to see them again and again... I enjoyed it a lot.  The friendship of Korn and Yiywa surprised me very much. Her character, in my opinion, was what they needed to take that little step to be together. Her personality was fun to watch, beautiful and strong. Perfect to unite couples.
There were times when I hated Knock's attitude because although he might be confused with certain situations, he can notice the bad intentions of others, his girlfriends was a total bi"#$.

Bad

I’m going to keep this short as most other reviews went into detail about these flawed characters. This was so bad, start to finish.

The only reason I stayed with it was for Max and Tul. I happened to watch Manner of Death first and fell in love with these guys. That series was great.

Unfortunately, the story in Together with Me is just insane. I literally felt sick to my stomach at times. I cried twice and the tears were all for Farm.

Also, why was that psycho girl so possessive over Knock? They had only been dating two months. She acted like they were married. Of course, Knock was an idiot as well.

Overall, I think my life would have been better off if I hadn’t watched this. For MaxTul, stick with Manner of Death.

Amazing chemistry but what happened to the plot?

April 16, 2021

I feel like the series started out with a bang like literally. But I was just so disappointed with the plot itself. I was so frustrated like I was skipping so much throughout the 2nd half of the series. Maybe I am burned out from watching so many BLs but I am not sure. I see so many good reviews and I just don't vibe nor like the series, Korn and Knock definitely saved the show since I was so close to dropping it. Maybe season 2 will be better?? Who knows...

I usually write longer reviews but I am so disappointed that I just wanna forget I watched this. Hopefully, Manner Of Death is good since MaxTul is starring that as well...

STAN YIHWA FOR CLEAR SKIN SHE LITERALLY IS THE ONLY BAD BITCH CHARACTER THAT I STAN. ALSO PRAISE TO THE ACTORS THEY REALLY DID WELL EVEN THO I HATE THE PLOT.

This is a series you either love it or hate it.
I used to love this series but after watching other series it made me realise that it just isn't a great show.
the cast is nice but the plot doesn't help at all. It has an unharnessed potential.

The famous cliché of the best friends that fall in love after an adventurous night had everything to be perfect but the repetitive plot that circles around the same situation makes it really tiring.

It has a nice amount of hot scenes that are really well made, but the characters just ain't it. It could have being really good it's just that the potential wasn't well spent.

Knock is a selfish bastard that plays with Korns feelings an grasps onto a futureless relationship with his girlfriend, Korn is is an idiot that lets Knock play with him and then go back to the creature he calls gf, Plern Pleng is a character made just for the reason of ruining the main couple, the doctor is really gross an Farm is really dumb, Prim/pring(Farm's gf that i have no idea of what is called) is just an unecessary character, Korn's sister is awful, the friend of them that likes her is a nice character that is not really doing nothing relevant, Fai is kinda nice, and Yihwa is the only reason a lot of people finish the series. There is no character developmentat all.

Despite all of that I think it is worth to watch at least once if you have the time because you might enjoy it.

Can I just say... what the fuvk

Okay so let me start off with the positives. The first episode is the best episode. Honestly just watch that and end it. This show says husbandxhusband instead of making one the wife and I really appreciate that aspect. Then secondly the women in this show are incredibly clever. As much as I disliked one particular character, I had to hand it to her for getting what she wanted. The guys on the other hand, they all had rocks for brains. The kisses between the main two actors were hella passionate and not shy at all, and neither character had the weird shy character flaw that's super cringy even after a character has known the other for a long time.

Now the bads: the plot, and side romances. While yes, the show did stick with the plot it set out to make, so props for that, but overall it was not of high quality. Then all of the side romances felt really inappropriate be it because of age or just the overall hint of r*pe I got from watching them together. While no r*pe occurred, it all felt like pedophilia.

Now, would I recommend this show... no.
Did I enjoy it? Some parts, mainly including yiwha. Just watch a compilation video of her being a bada$$.
Do I regret watching it? Actually yes, I kind of do.

There are so many other shows worth watching over this one(To My Star!!!). Props to the actors, but the script was a no.
