The mood of these dramas is the same. In TSHLYE it's the male lead with the questionable character though.

In both dramas there is a hate/love relationship between the main characters. Also in both, male lead is kind of creepy and scary at times.

The male leads in both dramas are poor and have the “bad boy” vibe.

“The smile has left your eyes” is way darker overall and the ml is actually cruel and dangerous.
While in “My dear loser monster romance” it’s nothing really serious.

The story is different in both dramas.

Both involve two men where one seems very suspicious and the other is convinced he is a murderer while you as a viewer is confused about whether or not he can be trusted. The dynamic is just similar. TSHLYE is romance-focused, though.

both dramas have suspense, antihero characters and an intriguing plot, if you like the one then you'll enjoy the other

Mm... Somehow the vibe of NNK felt similar to TSHLYE and both dramas deal with trauma. Both are good dramas with good chemistry between the characters. NNK is more comical though.

A TV series centered around the unfolding relationship between free and unpredictable yet dangerous Kim Moo Young, who is called a "monster". He is the first assistant in a Korean beer brewery who becomes a suspect when a woman's suicide turns out to be murder. His life begins to change when he meets a kind, warm advertising designer named Yoo Jin Kang, who wishes to be Moo Young's safe haven. She bears as many emotional scars as him. Yoo Jin Kang also has a brother, a homicide detective named Yoo Jin Gook, with 27 years of job experience. He strives to "reveal" who Moo Young really is and attempts to keep his sister, Jin Kang, away from Moo Young, with whom she begins to know

Whilst watching The Smile Has Left Your Eyes I had many reminders of Come and Hug Me - especially towards the end as the themes grew even more similar.

••|SPOILER FREE VERSION|••

Come and Hug Me and The Smile Has Left Your Eyes are both centered around a tragic incident that has entangled the two main characters together yet they appear to find love despite this, along with the overprotective brother theme in both. They both mention a lot of violence and mystery involving the police. The main girls (who are actually similar in personality) also tries to "heal" the guy.

However, the theme of Amnesia isn't present in CAHM quite like TSHLYE - in fact, the main leads are well aware of their past and it is what tries to pull them apart. In addition, the male leads are not similar in personality.

••|SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT|••

SIMILARITIES:
• A tragic incident that entangles the two main leads.
• Main girl trying to "heal" guy
• The girl's disapproving and overprotective brother (who isn't actually blood related in both cases lol)
• Police themes
• A lot about guns lmao
• Both are very romantic and melodramas
• Powerful OST
• The female main leads are similar in personality and are both mentally strong (they grow to be even stronger later)

DIFFERENCES:
• Amnesia in TSHLYE but not in CAHM where the two main leads are well aware of their past
• (REAL SPOILER HERE) happy ending in CAHM but not in TSHLYE.
• CAHM doesn't have any worries about the main leads being siblings lol (even tho it appears to not be true)
• The male leads are very different in personality

Although TSHLYE is less dramatic and intense compared to Liar Game, they have similar tones of mystery where nothing is as it seems. TSHLYE has a bigger focus on romance and melodrama-type plot twists, but there is a sense that things are not as they seem and highly convoluted plot-lines exist in both dramas. (This includes comparisons to the original Japanese version of Liar Game.)

Two very dark and tragic romance stories, where the male lead first dates the best friend of the female lead. In both shows the lead characters are all orphans.

Two tragic love stories where the female lead and male lead don't get along first. The character personalities and dynamics are similar, atlhough not completely the same.

Similar in terms or the whole villian concept, and theme. But, Kill it is pretty much exactly similar. But, both of the ones I have recommended have better character development.

There is no similarity plot wise but what I feel these shows are similar is by how passionate the love is. It's madness. And they both make you cry so much. Break your heart.

- In both dramas, a character attempts to split up the couple
- Both involve orphans
- The leads know each other from childhood (but have forgotten for most parts)
- They both have a very similar ending
