• Nishikido Ryo x Akanishi Jin release their song for No Good TV. • Upon his contract termination, Tegoshi Yuya promptly opened an official Twitter account and Youtube channel where he explains his reasons for departure in a 2 hours long video and his plans to continue his career as a solo artist. • Summer Drama schedule is out - "Japanese Summer Dramas 2020".
• Takuya Kimura’s “BG: Shinpen Keigonin” to end early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (AJ)
• Narita Ryo will be taking over the role of his friend, Kiyohara Sho, who is currently undergoing medical treatment, in the upcoming summer drama, “Unsung Cinderella”, starring Ishihara Satomi. (LALAINE)
• Nakajo Ayami is “The Judge of the World” in the upcoming NHK drama, “Enmadou Sara no Suiri Kitan”. It's an adaptation of the popular series from the mystery writer, Kimoto Kanata. Broadcast starts in Fall (8 episodes). (LALAINE)

• Yahagi Honoka to be lead in TV Tokyo drama "Oshaie Sommelier Oshako!" co-starring with MEGUMI and Tomita Miu. Based on a web manga about fashion and finding an ideal man. Starts on July 15 and will air every Wednesday at 12.28 am.  (ハズキ )
• Sakurai Hinako to be a lead in TV Tokyo summer drama "Furo Girl!". Based on the manga by Katayama Yukio, it's a story of exploring 'what is the best bath?'. Starts on July 15 and will air every Wednesday at 12.58 am. (ハズキ )
• Fukushi Sota to be lead in Fuji TV drama "DIVER" as a dark hero. Based on the manga by Ogawa Shuntaro, it's about a member of the Undercover Investigator Team, who as a teenager was violent and a criminal. A story about a man who uses a violent and cold method to confront criminals. Broadcast will begin in September. (ハズキ )
• EBiDAN drama "FAKE MOTION" is getting a second season. A big number of the main cast members of season 1 are set to return for season 2. "FAKE MOTION" S1 aired from April to May of this year. S2 will be broadcast in spring 2021. (Psycho Drama)
• Mizukawa Asami, Kiyohara Sho, Watanabe Keisuke, Baba Fumika, Itagaki Mizuki, and Nakao Masaki cast in "Love Distance" drama series. It'll be available on June 27th. (Psycho Drama)
• JE Jr. group Bi Shounen (#美少年) will star in their first drama "Manatsu no Shounen ~ 19452020". Higuchi Takuji wrote the script.  The drama will start airing in July. (Psycho Drama)
• Imai Tsubasa, Kiriyama Renn, and Fujiwara Taiyu to join Mashima Hidekazu in "Ojikawa" ("Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki") drama series. It is based on the manga of the same name written by Tsutomu. It's set to start broadcasting later this summer. (Psycho Drama)
• Matsui Rena stars in the new FOD drama series "30 Kin Sore wa 30-sai miman okotowari no koi"; 8 eps; plays a 30-year-old woman who wants to marry someone around her age but is dating someone 9 years younger (Suzuki Jin) until she finds a marriage partner. (Chiaki)
• Katori Shingo stars in new Amazon Prime Video sitcom-style drama series "Darekaga, miteiru" written & directed by Mitani Koki; showing this autumn; co-stars include Sato Jiro, Yamamoto Chihiro, Nagano Satomi & Miyazawa Emma. (Chiaki)
• ABEMA will be showing a spinoff drama from "M Aisubeki hito ga ite" which is titled "L Reika no Shinjitsu" featuring Masa's secretary Himeno Reika (Tanaka Minami); 7 episodes - Eps 1 to 4 to be released at 12.05am on 27th June, while Eps 5 and onwards will be released on 4th July. (Chiaki)

• Yamada Anna & Suzuki Jin star in the film adaptation of Okazaki Kyoko’s youth-based manga, “Georama Boy Panorama Girl” opening in fall this year. The story centers on the relationship between an ordinary high school girl and a boy who suddenly quit school. (LALAINE)
• “Shinkaishaku: Sangokushi” film by Fukuda Yuichi casts Hashimoto Kanna as Muro Tsuyoshi’s wife & Yamamoto Mizuki as Kaku Kento’s wife. The film stars Oizumi Yo, Yamada Takayuki, Shirota Yu, Sato Jiro, Okada Kenshi, and etc. Release will be on December 11th. (LALAINE) (ハズキ)
• Haru to be lead in the movie "Hotel Royal", which is based on Naoki Prize winner Sakuragi Shino. The story is set in a love hotel in Hokkaido and depicts the life patterns of men and women who visit the hotel. Release will be in winter of 2020. (ハズキ )
• Kadowaki Mugi and Mizuhara Kiko to be leads in the movie "Anoko wa Kizoku", which is based on a novel by Yamauchi Mariko. The story centers around two women, living in the same city but under different circumstances. Release will be in 2021. (ハズキ )
• Shirai Kaiu's manga "Yakusoku no Neverland" to get an overseas live-action drama version directed by Rodney Rothman. (ハズキ )

• NHK drama "Spy no Tsuma" starring Aoi Yu and Takahashi Issei to be released as a movie on October 16th. The story is set in 1940s Kobe, where a merchant who witnessed terrible events in Manchuria tried to make this known to the world but his wife tried to block his actions for their happiness.  (ハズキ )
• Zeze Takahisa's movie "Ito" starring Suda Masaki and Komatsu Nana to be released on August 21st. (ハズキ )
• Ito Kentaro to be lead in the historical movie "Junihitoe o Kita Akuma" co-starring with Miyoshi Ayaka, Itoh Sairi, Iseya Yusuke, and others. The story is of a young boy who has no self-confidence and has a sense of inferiority to his brother who can do almost anything. To be released on Nov 6th.  (ハズキ )
• Kiyohara Kaya to sing the theme song of her own movie "Uchuu de Ichiban Akarui Yane". Release will be on September 4th. (ハズキ )
• Visual poster of the movie "Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru" starring Okada Masaki and Shison Jun. Release will be on October 30th. (ハズキ )

• "Youkai Ningen Bela" starring Morisaki Win and emma will see its release in September. The story focuses on the character Bela from the highly popular "Youkai Ningen Bem" series. Additional cast includes Shimizu Hiroya, Sakurada Hiyori, Hotta Akane, Yoshida Sousuke, singer Yoshida Rinne and Rokkaku Seiji.  Hanabusa Tsutomu ("Sadako" series) will be directing the movie. • Musician Watanabe Takuma's directorial debut "ECTO" stars Sometani Shota, Kawase Yota, and Satsukawa Aimi. The movie is described as "ambient horror", and was written and edited by Watanabe himself. He's also responsible for the music. (Psycho Drama)
