The promotion for the new drama series King 2 Hearts officially begins.
MBC officially launches the official website for the new Wednesday and Thursday drama series King 2 Hearts (directed by Lee Jae-gyoo and screenplay by Hong sisters) on February 20th, 2012.
On the website, a countdown timer of D-23 is displayed, indicating that March 14, 2012 will the day of the premiere of first episode. With the debut of King 2 Hearts on March 14, 2012, naturally the currently airing The Moon that Embraces the Sun will end at March 8, 2012 with 20 episodes, which means that the popular drama is not extended.
Meanwhile, the production company of King 2 Hearts, Kim Jong Hak Production published the stills of the script practicing, becoming discussion subject. On the day, the main actors Ha Ji Won, Lee Seung Gi, Yoon Je Mun, Lee Yun Ji, Jo Jung Seok and others gathered to coordinate on acting.
During the script practice session that lasted more than 4 hours, the actors participated passionately, the atmosphere was cheerful.

“King 2hearts,” starring Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won continue to build up the anticipation as the drama moves towards its March premiere. After releasing photos from its first script reading, a still from the drama is out, as well as on-the-set greetings from series leads Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won.
“King 2hearts” is set in an alternate universe modern South Korea, where the country is still ruled by a monarchy. Lee Seung Gi plays the Crown Prince Lee Jae Ha, who is arranged in marriage to a North Korean Special Forces operative Kim Kang Ha, played by Ha Ji Won.
The drama will replace the currently airing ratings hit, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” on MBC.

MBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “King 2hearts,” starring Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won, unveiled teaser stills of its main leads. The series takes place in a fictional contemporary South Korea, which is still ruled by monarchy. Lee Seung Gi plays Lee Jae Ha, the scatterbrained Crown Prince of South Korea, while Ha Ji Won plays Kim Hang Ah, a North Korean Special Forces female operative.
The teaser stills are from the 1st episode of “King 2hearts,” where Lee Jae Ha and Kim Hang Ah meet for the first tine. The scene was shot on February 7th, and the two leads are dressed in their respective country’s military uniform. According to producers, Ha Ji Won has delved 100% into her character, talking and acting like a true North Korean operative.
A representative of Kim Jong Hak Productions stated, “[I]While it was their [Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won] first shoot together, they had great chemistry with each other, earning praises from director Lee Jae Gyu and the rest of the crew."
