Just started watching this for the first time, 20 mins in and I call bull crap on where they could have landed. That captain made a horrible decision. If they couldn't land in Anchorage, they could have gone to Juneau or even to Seattle or Portland, all of those airports are in between Anchorage and San Francisco. Just sayin'
I just finished watching this for the first time and I have to say I really liked it, even the last few episodes. I understand why some would not like the last few episodes. I get why they had the wife come back, she basically is the one that was able to clear up all the misunderstandings that Minister Park and Chief Kang had regarding the car accident. I guess they could of had Chief Kang's brother come out of his vegetative stage and do that earlier but, oh well. Which I think was a bit weird that in the end he did come out of what they said was a vegetative stage, didn't think that could happen realistically. Overall, the acting by all was superb. There were a few "like really" moments, but I liked the story. I did want a bit more dramatic longer minute ending, but it is normal K Drama cliché. I do think it could have been better in some areas, but it was not as bad imo as some of the comments have made it out to be.
cuz we all know The Untamed was a monumental failure of a drama
Just curious, have you watched or are you watching New Life Begins. Talking about female empowerment it is thrown in your face at every turn. Not to say it is bad, because I actually am enjoying the drama very much, but it is getting overwhelming. I do agree with your comments above. Very well written.
I understand why so many like this drama.. There were many things I liked as well... but I am becoming bored and…
I agree with you. I praised and absolutely loved this drama at the beginning and it still has some great scenes. The acting is amazing and the costumes, etc. It really is great for not being an S(+) drama. I haven't watched the last couple of episodes and I am debating if I still want to continue watching as they air or wait and binge the final 12 episodes. I love the stories, the female empowerment, and all that. BUT...... it is getting so overwhelming. I want more of the comedy and more of the relationship between the main leads. It is like their relationship isn't as important as making sure every other support character has their problems resolved, etc. I am wondering how many more women's issues or problems they can add to this drama. I still really like it and will finish it.
Devil Beside You and Why Why Love, my two favorites of hers and why I became such a fan of hers as well. I also liked Drunken to Love You. So much talent.
Who'd ever think Yang Mi and Xu Kai look so good together. They have amazing chemistry already
I felt the same way. But when they look at each other, you can see the chemistry sizzle. I am very impressed with both of them in this, cause i had misgivings at first, but am loving it so much.
But i kinda like the secondary couple.. i just wish her best friend will divorce her 2nd brother for real and…
what paper did he sign then, when he handed over his car keys, his credit cards, his wallet, etc. in front of her and her mother. and then he went out with that other lady and said let's celebrate me being free?
But i kinda like the secondary couple.. i just wish her best friend will divorce her 2nd brother for real and…
It looks like that just happened in these last couple of episodes. I am not sure if he is at the regret stage yet, but even his older brother is shunning him now
I am on episode 8 right now and the following question has been bugging me, hope someone has some insight. Why is it so imperative that Qin Shi be married and yet Li Dai isn't? They currently both have the same status at the law firm (although Qin Shi is most likely becoming partner) and the drama is treating them as rivals. Not only that Bian Jing wanted Li Dai to be in charge of all their legal counseling/needs.
I'm loving it so far! FL is fantastic. Secondary couple very unnecessary as always, already skipping all their…
which one do you consider the secondary couple? Her ex and his fiancée (which I don't mind this couple, it kind of goes along with the story) or her brother and his wife, her bff (I hate this couple and hate their scenes, and I honestly think the person playing the bff is not a very good actress, watching her scenes next to Yang Mi, was cringeworthy, you can see the obvious different level of acting abilities, that is my opinion anyway)
yes, it is so good. I don't think I have been this excited about a drama that doesn't have high traffic actors…
Yeah I try to catch a lot with non high traffic actors, because sometimes it is nice to see a new face. I started watching Zhao LuSi way before she became huge and now she has become one of the high traffic actors. So maybe I will find another actor before they become famous.
I have been looking forward to this drama for awhile now. Although, I was hesitant about the chemistry between Xu Kai and Yang Mi, but they have so far done an outstanding job of making it work. I am only on episode 4 right now, but I am liking the pace and the story and the chemistry. What I don't like is the cut to her brother and his "wife". As of right now, they seem so insignificant to the story. Don't really care about their story, it is not why I am watching this drama. Hopefully, they won't be taking up to much of the screen time.
i should start watching these kdramas people keep calling masterpieces because i somehow always start the most…
Sometimes it takes a few episodes to get into them. Depending on what type of genre you like there are several real good ones. I have watched a variety. I think my first ever was either Boys over Flowers or The Heirs. There are a lot of really good ones. Here is a list of about 10 of my favorite K Dramas (although, I do have a lot more I have liked): 1. Vincenzo 2. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo 3. A Business Proposal 4. Cinderella and the Four Knights 5. Healer 6. City Hunter 7. Goblin 8. Descendants of the Sun 9. W 10. Start-Up
(a few more, cause they are all really good) Suspicious Partner The Master's Sun ( I am not usually a fan of the paranormal, but I liked this one) While You Were Sleeping
I know there are several others people would add, but I have yet to watch any costume K Dramas and I have read Empress Ki is really good. Anyway, these are just a few of the many I like a lot of mine are on the Rom Com side, but i do like to occasionally check out other stuff if it seems interesting enough. My CDrama is list is a lot more extensive though. 😀
I just started watching this yesterday and on episode 5 right now and am absolutely loving it. The story synopsis drew me in, but the acting and the characters are keeping me here. So far I have really enjoyed it. I love how well all the ladies get along (except for the main wife of the second prince). It is really enjoyable to watch so far, looking forward to more. I really hope it stays this way.
Recency Bias, it's a phenomenon where you will remember something you experienced recently as better/worse than…
I agree about the objectively and subjectively. I feel the same about quite a few K Dramas and C Dramas where I absolutely loved all the cheesiness and cliched stories, but they would never be considered BOTB. And everyone has differences of opinion, where you have one person who loves all rom coms and that is all they watch; missing out on really good other really good dramas like crime, mystery, supernatural (I don't like this one), horror (don't like this category either), political, martial arts, etc etc. There are BOTB in each of those categories but to pick one drama over all is honestly really hard and "subjective".
Nothing beats Joy of Life, The Untamed, and Nirvana in Fire for me personally...Many of these aren't to my personal…
I loved Nirvana in Fire. It took me 3 tries to finally get into Joy of Life and I liked it, but it wasn't one of my favorites. I know I am in the minority here, but I could never get into The Untamed, I don't know why, I am a huge fan of both main leads but I just couldn't get into it. I agree about Rise of the Phoenixes, excellent drama. I haven't really watched the other two yet. If you like the political (side romance, not huge) you should try Rebel Princess, it is really good as well.
