This is suuuuch a good drama. ;; It's done so many weird things and tied them all in together ahh.
Like, when have you ever seen a chaebol (who stands up to his mother kind of) that's a second lead?
And I just really love the dynamics of all the relationships, and these love triangles creating a triangle! The older triangle, main triangle, and younger triangle just tie in so well to make one BIG triangle. Plus the mothers' triangle w/ Ppal Gang.
It's so cute I wanna die. ;A; Also Hwa Shin (I have not seen ep 10 yet, but I see comments about him), is such a lame, adorable idiot. I love him to death.
I do believe I've had it. When writers who've had 45 !@#%$# episodes to show off how smart a guy is (Do Gun Wu)…
I finished!! Haha, here's a quick summary-- Gun Woo's Pandora Box is stolen by Secretary Han. Han informs Soo Yeon secretly and is going to give it to Gi Tan, then is chased and tortured by Il Jae but saved by Gi Tan (who gets to punch the lights out of Gwang Woo (who gets two years in prison for instigation of murder before being pardoned.)) Do Choong sells his shares to Gi Tan "abandoning" Gun Woo, who almost suicides.
But guess what? After evading the police, Il Jae buys a gun, and he's threatening Soo Yeon. Choong Dong told him off to Gun Woo, who runs in and gets shot twice while saving her (they redeemed his character a bit with this heroic act!!), and he dies. Choong Dong also agreed to testify for Dong Soo's murder.
Gi Tan is going blind again but he gets the chance to send Il Jae to jail (finally), and is promised by Pres. Hwang Jae Man that Il Jae will receive a death penalty. Hwang Ji Soo is also revealed to having killed Jung Man Ok but idk what happened bc I wasn't paying attention lol.
Anyway, Soo Yeon leaves for two years and visits Gun Woo's grave only to find that Gi Tan is completely blind and about to undergo a surgery that may restore his vision or kill him! She is "hired" as his maid (he knows it's her, but she tries to hide her identity by being mute lol), and they have a cute throwback to the first episodes with The whole three warnings thing. On his surgery bed he says something cute, saying he knew it was her the whole time. Then he goes into surgery and it ends on his smiling face. :,)
I actually really liked the open ending. It fit pretty well and it actually didn't make the whole thing feel too much like a cliche. Plus it was satisfying in that whether he dies or can see again, he was happy since he was/may be with Soo Yeon.
I'm already crying and it's just the first episode... Lee Sang Yoon and so adorable and I love Kim Ha Neul too ugh ;; And I love Shin Sung Rok tho he's pretty cold here...
I should have waited for this to air some more episodes... Now I really want to watch more.
I just wanna respond to this w/ my opinion lol. TBH, I don't think Gun Woo is "too good for her" at all. He's a jerk who manipulated her into liking him (at least a bit) and getting engaged with him. While she's an idiot who went ahead and /agreed/ to getting engaged, she's still in general a better person than he is... I also find that in the later episodes, Gun Woo's "love" seems more like an obsession or desire, similar to Gwang Woo's...
The hand to a ~ was too funny! plus the "Gotta hand it to them" lmao.
I gotta say I think you missed one, imo. THE SUPER ADORABLE HAND-HOLDING SCENES. Ugh, they're so cute.
This is a cute article` though I gotta say the double wrist grab up against a wall is a bit much lol.
I always get kind of upset at how many people find this drama boring and stuff. It's just so realistic? I mean a "slow-paced world"? Kinda like my life, lol.
It just has a really "real" feel to it, and I think that's what makes it great... If you can't deal with anything other than romance or over-the-top drama, don't watch it.
I also can't deal with long dramas. I've actually gotten to the point where I can hardly bring myself to finish ANYTHING unless I watch it with someone else.
The only time I can keep up with long dramas (or even dare to start them) is if they're currently airing. So I keep up with the two a week thing and don't get flipped out since I'm on a schedule.
They're only related through Byun Il Jae. Which makes Gi Tan... Shin Young's cousin's husband's nephew. :P
I also love her though, and i definitely agree with you about Soo Yeon. She's become rather ridiculous, and while I can understand her brother's death hit her pretty hard... she's slowly becoming dumber (how did she even make it as a lawyer?).
I do believe I've had it. When writers who've had 45 !@#%$# episodes to show off how smart a guy is (Do Gun Wu)…
I honestly didn't have the highest hopes for this drama when it started out, so I suppose I'm not as upset about it lol. But yeah, it really got all over the place--in reality, the drama feels like five different dramas squashed together haha. It was cute while it lasted.
Since you're dropping, I'll let you know how it ends. ;P

Well he says that if his father doesn't die it will "put a dent in his plan". Because then it would take longer for the will to be found and he wouldn't get to take the company.
I think that he's definitely gotten greedier though. I mean, he hates the other family members, and just the action of him stupidly giving himself most of the assets on the will shows the greed... The whole revenge of his seems to have fizzled a bit--he originally wanted to get revenge on his father, but he became pretty chummy with him, so now it's just down to taking over Dodo group.

I feel kind of inclined to disagree? Do Gun Woo has always been really greedy. And in this case, I think it's totally plausible to say that his greed for power and money trampled his smarts. After all, he was legitimately upset about the fact that his father wasn't going to die and his plan wouldn't work out as well...
But, I agree with you that he made some REALLY dumb moves. Like, how the heck would the president have gotten the will into the safe?? And what are the chances that someone doesn't check the CCTV and find that the only person who had gone into the safe was Gun Woo? He really did some dumb things, and that I think is the writers' fault and lack of thinking it through.
On another note, I think the president is definitely an awful person (however, there were clearly moments when he was not as tyrannical as he was), but I must say that I cannot stand his wife. She's just cruel--well, the whole family is--but I just cannot get over her attempted murder as well as the fact that the woman shows absolutely zero care that her husband is dying.
I actually commented just to say that yes I also ship Shin Young and Gi Tan, simply because Oh Soo Yeon is being ridiculous + she's an idiot.
Wow I didn't realize this had 24 episodes?~ I'm not caught up yet but omg it's so cute ;;
I love these two leads and wow hello to the second lead--I see you over there... creeping your way into my heart...
This drama is all messed up.. How can they make a joke in a funeral!!! Time to drop!
Honestly, I was recently at a funeral and I was kinda surprised by how upbeat things are nowadays. I think it's 'cause people don't like to focus on death and prefer to stay upbeat?
