i did not really enjoy kisarazu or hana kimi as much , i wouldn't put them in my favorite comedies. i would say…
I've seen most of those you mentioned, and some were pretty good, just not that memorable for me. Again just a matter of taste and what you look for in comedies. The dramas listed here I just found something special in them that communicated well with it ;)

I have an odd relationship with Japanese dramas. I don't find Japanese dramas/movies laugh out loud funny at all.…
Hmm I understand that. As I said it's a matter of preferences. I'm not really into variety shows but japanese comedies perfectly suit my taste. Well drooling over an actor is enough reason to check out dramas, specially when they are as short as Japanese ones :P

Love Shuffle is the only one I haven't seen (yet), but love all the other drams on the list. I'm glad to see Manhattan…
Manhattan Love story is such a special drama of it's own. It's the type that only japanese can perfect in their own way in my view :D

Awesome choices! I would add My Boss, My Hero, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan and Otomen, though! This is part one…
I've seen My boss my hero since I'm a Nagase Tomoya fan, and Yankee-kun to Megane-chan which made me fan of Narimiya Hiroki, and I enjoyed both but not to the point of being memorable to me. But they are fun nonetheless ;)

Thanks for your article! I have seen most of them and totally agree with your choices. Though Japanese dramas…
Yes those 3 dramas you're recommending I've wanted to watch them for a long while but just didn't come around doing so. What can I do the rate at which my ptw list has been growing is much faster than my completed list XD

Great article, I agree, I don't like comedies and rarely watch them but Japan has for real the most unique and…
Unfortunately I haven't watched Yuusha Yoshihiko and really don't have the time to watch anything at the moment :(

As for Ikebukuro I thought of putting it in the list but decided otherwise. It is one of my all time favourite, and it does have the Japanese comic relief that I love so much, but I can't really consider it a comedy. Yosuke is just amazing in anything he does. I think I want to dedicate some time of his movies I don't remember seeing a stalker guide for him he really deserves one.

How about my boss my hero and densha otoko drama?
Hmm I have seen and enjoyed my boss by hero but it wasn't as memorable as those I have here. As for Densha Otoko I feel guilty to have watched it until now hopefulle will do in the future soon ;)

In this list there are no less than 3 dramas written by the amazing and crazy Kudo Kankuro, a master when it comes…
Lol I realize I have already seen many of the dramas he's written. I see a pattern there :P Yup great sense of humour. I should check the rest of this guy's dramas ;)

I love the Japanese sense of comedy. They have a distinct way of humour that I completely dig. There are few titles…
Thx Cheer!! And yes I know you appreciate Japanese comedies as much as I do ;) I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy them once you check them out :D

Excellent article Ana!! Except for 2 of the dramas all the titles you've mentioned have already gone to my ptw and then to my Completed list, and all thanks to your recommendations. I have to agree that no matter the type of movie and if it turned out to be good or not, Takeshi always impresses and makes the roles memorable.

In The Warlords, he didn't shine as much as the rest of the cast cuz his character was too simple compared to the complicated characters portrayed by his costars.

In fallen angels he was the best thing about the movie and was the sole reason i enjoyed it.

The way he's described by people who know him and what you quoted him makes him very intriguing as a person for me as well.

This articles was waiting to be written by you none would've written better!! ;)

Title Go Yi Yi Go
Breath of fresh air. I always think drama relationships are too dramatic and can never be considered healthy for…
Your comment really motivated me to watch this drama ;)
