Is this a type of drama that is will not be attractive to most people? Yes. Is it about a romance? No. Is there angst moments between a male and female? No. What this drama is about is that it focuses on the sacrifices that a group of rescue workers in Yokohama Japan are willing to do to save others. You will laugh, cry (okay, a lot of crying) but most of all you will come away with a lot of respect for the men and women in this field who are willing to do ANYTHING to save every last soul in a disaster! Well made drama!!

Talk about making a great drama just okay! I swear I absolutely hate when I am watching a drama and become totally invested with the characters and then BAM!! You get hit over the head with utter nonsense and stupid story line. Well, that's what happened with this drama. I watched 17 great and entertaining episodes and then it spiraled down to the mundane and totally unwatchable. Sure I skipped episodes to maintain my saneness and love for Megan Lai and especially Roy Chui who I have recently come to love. Until ep 16, it moves smoothly and you get to see their relationship progress but I did not like was the utter deviousness and downright disgusting story line that followed. Sure, we have to interject the angst period, it happens in all dramas but c'mon, when you take a great drama which I've invested a lot of hours in enjoying and make it into something I regret watching, I won't stay a happy drama camper. So, to not discount watching, watch on your own peril. I guarantee you will love and laugh through the first 16 episodes but then in true drama fashion, you'll hit the brick wall called the WTF episodes!! Be prepared to skip some episodes. Noble idiocy in males is bad enough but when females do it, I just want to slap them silly!

What an absolutely great movie!! The premise along made it a unique story! The acting was superb by both the adults and the kids. I just got a kick out of daydreams and what's it a pleasant surprise that his person that he daydreamed about came to real life for him. No, this is not an adult love story but it is a love story. About a man willing to make a sacrifice that no one else in his family was willing to make. Man, do they actually make men like this? Wish I had met one! Great story! Worth your time, truly!!

No words can express how I felt after the end of this movie. Sad, mostly. Sad because even though I felt what the ending was going to be, it still could not stop the tears and sadness. Kang Dong Won is an acting genius!! Every time I see one of his movies, I wish so hard that he would do dramas more often. But the privilege of seeing him on the screen is still just that, a privilege. Lee Chung Ah as Han Kyung was delightful. It was awhile before I realized I'd seen her before in a drama but unfortunately, it was not one of my favorites; however, her acting in this was stellar. Jo Han Sun, this was the second time seeing him in a movie but as Hae Won, you could not feel nothing but his love for Han Kyung. There is rumors that they will make this into a drama. After watching this, I don't think the drama would do it justice, nor would I want to see the drama. This drama runs the gamut: from comedy, to action and finally sadness. Expect to see all but also expect to see a well acted movie!!

If you want cheese with those fries or more precisely tonkatsu and cake. Or more expressly said by Nobuko: Juicy tonkatsu and a pound cake! The sweetness of the mascarpone cheese is just perfect! Yes, if you want a cheesy drama to relieve you of the stress of that melodrama you just finished or that drama where the second lead you wanted to win the girl, loses; this is for you.

I admit I smiled and laughed a lot because of the corniness but I believe that is what the writer was going for. I think the title is SO appropriate! You have to see it to understand but the final lesson was great! You have to find your own happiness first.

The acting, well, its a cheesy, corny drama so the acting as you would expect is over the top but I bet won't come away hating anybody and just about loving every character. From Nobuko, with her silly self to Taiichi who is just a lovable mess! I guarantee, this is fun!

The main thing I love about watching JDramas is the music! I know the music, I'm familiar with the songs and it helps me get immersed into the episodes. The acting as always was great. My love for Kimura Takuya can't get any bigger. He is such a consummate actor. First time seeing Takeuchi Yuko but I will remember her dearly, along with other actors in the supporting role. It was a fun drama to watch because it really took you behind the scenes of hockey! Great music, great acting! What else do you need to watch this?

Loved LOVED!! This was my second Japanese drama ever to watch! I was glued to the screen as I watched all 10 episodes over a period of a day and 1/2!! This was my first introduction to Kimura Takuya and I absolutely love him! And what an intro!! From start to finish, this was a very entertaining drama! To watch the kind hearted Kindaichi Fumio and his interactions with the people around him made a not just a good, but a great drama! Well worth your time!

Let me just say, from the start, this is truly worth your time watching. If you did not understand the intricacies of drama making, you will. How much is fabricated? Only the writer knows. But I must applaud the writer because I was totally satisfied with the ending and it was as I expected. There were very few periods where you weren't sure where the writer was going with the story. I think the story was totally put together great. Now, let's get to the acting! I watched this for Jung Ryu Won and as usually, she did not disappoint. Her role as Lee Go Eun was amazing! Love her more now! Kim Myung Min, I was happy to finally see him in a role that I actually liked! Sure, his character was straitlaced and strict but you cannot help loving him, regardless. That's good acting! Choi Si Won, I think he was totally channeling Dokki Jin (Greatest Love), you could not help chuckling whenever he was on the screen. Oh Ji Eun did a great job as Min Ah. The rest of the supporting cast were wonderful and each had their own memorable moments. So worth the watch and I officially stamp this with a drama marathon warning! Yes 3 days, and done! Great drama!!

A hidden gem! I don't know where to start. I watched this for Seo Woo because I have always liked her as an actress. But lo and behold, I have been mesmerized by a whole new group of actors and actresses! Let's start with Kim Hye Sun who played Kim Soon Jung. I cannot remember the last time I hated a woman so much. Now that's good acting! I've never seen her before in anything that I can remember. Her portrayal was so hateful, even her ending was not satisfying to me.
Go Doo Shim as Son Jung In, super impressive. I had seen her previously in Immortal Classic but in this, she played that role. Let me be the first to say, I have never seen so many physical fights in a drama before! Both male and female! They were great! The most memorably will always be the one between Eun Chae and Jin Mi; a classic catfight!! The romances between the younger cast were so sweet. I cannot comment enough about those. And don't get me started on some of the other male cast. Yoon Won Sub, Eun Chae's adopted father, no words for that man. You will have to see. Overall, I really recommend this to those who like family dramas! You will see some things in this drama, I swear you've never seen before. Unfortunately, as it's a hidden gem, that means it is hard to find. gooddrama has all 51 episodes but I think whoever subbed it got tired and must have used a language recognizer because the subs for the later episodes sucked big time!

It's one thing for a single man to find out he has a daughter but to find out he is a grandfather too? Makes for a very, very cute movie. I must say, as usual Cha Tae Hyun does not disappoint in his movies. Playing Hyun Soo and watching his character evolve was precious and Park Bo Young? What a joy! This is my first time seeing her and I'll tell you what, if that was her singing, someone needs to give her a singing contract. I don't know if she was but whoever it was had a wonderful voice. And let's not forget little Wang Seok Hyeon as Ki Dong. So cute and so precious. Who wouldn't fall in love with him! If you want to watch a movie that at the end puts a smile on your face, this is it!!

Three words: FUNNY AS HELL!! The first 10 minutes, I was in tears. Kang Ji Hwan is a comedy genius! I never realized how funny he was! When it was funny, it was seriously funny! Not only did he do a great job, all of the cast did a great job!! And let's not forget all of the handsome, handsome men!! The final fashion show was DAEBAK!! And if you have never seen Kang Ji Hwan, with red hair and all in white; you are in for a TREAT!!!

Overall, it was fun to watch, there was a slight lag in the middle as they switched to the serious, but once you get past that, it goes back to funny until the final minutes! But I must say, you are going to love this!!

Overall this was good. It took awhile to really enjoy it. The interaction between the leads was interesting. But what made this different was they must have had intentions to make a second season from the beginning. When you watch it, you'll understand. But here is what I learned...I am a himono-onna. Except for the extreme junkiness that is Amemiya, I don't think I've ever encountered a character like her before. She was fascinating to say the least. Takono was Takono from beginning to end. You start to see his interest in her a lot faster than you will see hers. It's also funny who actually points out that interest. Even though I watched this from beginning to end, I think unless you are a fan of Fujiki Naohito or Ayase Haruka, true fans of both will really enjoy it!

How can you watch the first Gantz and not watch the sequel? Even though this movie was not as action packed as the first, it was used as a vehicle to explain a lot of what was going on. The game continues and you get to see the affects and consequences of the game on both the humans and the aliens. I have to say, you kind of have to sympathize with both after watching this. Let's just say, after finishing this, I searched the web for the DVDs and purchased them immediately. Well worth it! Well worth watching. Thank you, oneterrorist for writing a great article recommending it.

Have you ever watched a drama that you were not sure why you were still watching it? Yet, you finished it and still could not fathom why you did? Well, this fits that classification. The main female character irritated me almost from start to finish. I actually felt sorry for the male character, Hyeok Jun, having to be stuck with such a childish, immature wife! There are few and far between moments that I actually liked her but I definitely can say I disliked the second lead female, Ga Young even more. Can I say, I have never seen a drama with Lee Da Hee in it that I liked? She is 0-3 in my book. I've never liked any of her characters. The story could have been more interesting if Jung Sook whined less. As far as the male characters, loved them all. Do I recommend this? Only if you have time. It has some fun moments but I swear, Jung Sook's character will truly drive you crazy! Whine! Whine! Whine! Its still ringing in my ears!

You know a movie is good when you wish you had relationships like this! This was definitely a wonderful story about growing up and the highs and lows! 7 girls became friends who never forgot about each other. We all wish we had friendships like this! Even though they did not keep in touch, when they got together again, it was like time had stood still and we were privileged to watch. I loved all of the characters; both young and old! There will lines from this movie that will stick with me for a long time! "Bitch! you're rich!" Watch it and you will see!
