As the mom of a 16 month old baby boy, ep 10 had me absolutely bawling! I love this drama so much. I'm laughing hysterically one moment and crying my eyes out the next. It's absolute gold and Choi Woo Shik is a revelation - AMAZING!

My gosh! You really have watched a lot of CSW stuff! Wow! I often read these "stalker guides" and think about all the great movies and dramas that aren't on the list, but you were sooo thorough!

This drama is just so unbelievably bad, I just can't even. Poor Binnie! :'( He's so good but everything is is just soooooooo bad! Even Sung Joon is bad and seriously needs to take bad guy lessons from Shin Sung Rok or Kim Kang Woo or just go back to being the sweet boyfriend. I thought he might be able to handle it because he was pretty dark in White Christmas, but oh no. Although, maybe it's the writing and directing. Maybe they are actually forcing him to be that bad?

I totally agree. I'm sure that's one reason too they showed the flashback to Ho Kyung getting hit by the car and the driver thinking she was a boy. It was all a set up to that. And explains too why Ho Kyung wanted to date Byun Chul because she secretly has had a crush on him since that kiss. I hope though that he actually is gay and really in love with Ho Goo - just so long as they treat his love with respect it deserves. If it's just the genderbender thing I'm going to be so disappointed in this show and take back all the nice things I've said.

Not even just disinterested, but he really was a ranging asshole that deserved a severed beating in episode 5. But now that I know that he has had to live life in the closet and in such a conservative society, I can forgive him a little because his life must really be sad since he's not free to love whom he wants.

Just watched episode 6, and HOLY CRAP! In the history of plot twists I did not see coming, that takes the cake. This show is sooooooooooo amazingly perfect. Please treat this twist with the respect it deserves and I will love you forever, show! And now I finally understand why Byun Chul is such a horrible asshole, and I will be able to forgive him at least a little.

It starts out pretty standard for a fusion sageuk: a nobleman is wrongfully convicted of treason and his family is ruined because of it. The daughter gets sold into slavery (becomes a house maid for another noble family) and there is a big conspiracy behind why her father was framed for treason. There is also a love triangle. But what makes it unique is that the story focuses more on the servants and their lives than on the nobles. It's beautifully directed.

Jang Dong Gun starred in the Hollywood film The Warrior's Way too. It was universally panned for being terrible. But because I like him, I watched it anyhow. And although it can be a bit weird, the female lead is annoying and the plot is pretty shallow, I actually really really liked it. If nothing else it is stunning to look at (like a hyper violent painting) and the action scenes are fantastic (if you like fight scenes). Plus you get to see JDG acting all in English.

Lee Sung Min is amazing. I've seen him in more dramas than I can count, but I first really paid attention to him in King2Hearts and then Miss Korea. He is absolutely amazing in that highly underrated drama. But, yes, of course, he is perfection in Misaeng. I love that his acting is so good that he is being recognized even though he's average looking. It shows that our love for Kdrama actors doesn't have to be only about the hotness.

I adore Kim Min Jong, but believe his best role is in Return of Iljimae. Other than just being an all around awesome sageuk, he absolutely kills it in that drama.

Choi Woo Shik might be the cutest thing in the universe!

Glad some other people are watching this. It is sooooo good! And the directing is just gorgeous. I'm through episode 6 and it is still great!

How great is my love for Hyun Bin? Must be pretty darn great that I keep watching this mediocre blah-fest every week. I think next I'll create a list of all the dramas that I kept watching solely because of my love for the lead and would have dropped like a hot turd otherwise.

LOL. I just finished my review and I loved it for the same reason. It's not new, but it takes all the usual stuff and then does it much better than most. Ha!

Been waiting all day for ep 20 to be subbed an up. Well, it's up. And now that it is, I don't want to watch it because as soon as I do it's all over.... ;( I don't want it to end!!!!!! WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Thanks but bummer. I hate watching dramas on those sites that chop them up into segments - and they never run properly. I was hoping one of the big sites would have it. They often skip the cute quirky cable dramas that I like unfortunately.
