As a fellow pedonoona (and soon to be mom), I approve of this article! I don't fangirl over Kpopstars because I just don't like that kind of music. But I do drool over a whole lot of Korean actors that are younger than me. Thanks!
I heard that Kim Bum was considering The Goddess of Fire, is it no longer true ? Anyway I think I'll watch Ugly…
Kim Beom confirmed he is taking the roll. Ji Chang Wook is not in this at all. That was an old rumor. Can't wait to see Bummie in his first sageuk!!!!!!
Thank you for this! I mostly watch Kdramas, but I really like Japanese movies, so I saw Rurouni Kenshin and absolutely fell in love with Sato Takeru and that movie. I've seen it 3 times, then I read the whole Manga (yep, whole thing in less than a month), and I can't wait for the next Kenshin movie. I'm now watching Bloody Monday, my first Jdrama, all because of Sato Takeru.
Love this article. I started cooking Korean food like a crazy person after I started watching Kdramas. I even make my own kimchi (I've done it 4 times now). I had never had even one spec of Korean food prior to cooking it myself so I had no idea if I'd like it, but it all sounded good to me, so I jumped right in. A week rarely goes by without me making jjajangmyun, japchae or some kind of jjigae (kimchi or doenjang usually). And I couldn't find makgeolli at any asian market near me so I ordered some all the way from NY, and I'm totally addicted to it. I also learned to write in hangeul. And I try to use my limited Korean vocab whenever I can, but my fiance can't stand it when I call him oppa. Ha!

So glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the kind words. I agree.
Happy Birthday to one of my absolute favorite actors - one of the top 5 reasons I love Kdramas - the incomparable and fabulous and mesmerizingly beautiful, Lee Jun Ki!

So glad you liked the review. I don't get time to write many of them but when I do it's usually a drama I really care about. Happy watching!

Thanks for the friend request. I'm a pedonoona too. Not too many hot actors I get to call oppa. I'm going to be a first time mom this year too. So nice to meet you!

It's the most quotable show ever! I think I probably say something from firefly everyday. I wouldn't even be able to say a fave quote because there are so many. And Serenity too - my fave movie. I aim to misbehave.:-)
Ha! I love this list, and have done the same thing many times too for all these awful shows. I must stop doing…
There are comedic elements, but the revenge plot is oh, so good! It really gets good at episode 12. Up until then I was a little bored too. But once you hit 12 it becomes a whole new show and gets really good! What I am struck by is the intelligence of the main good guy and main bad guy. Normally in revenge dramas (or any drama) there has to be a heaping dose of stupidity, coincidence and plot holes to keep the goodie and the baddie battling on and on until the end. But in Incarnation they just really are that smart, which is very refreshing!

I love Incarnation of Money! It has a few flaws but overall has the smartest protagonist and antagonist I've ever seen in a kdrama. I think it's great. Although I have a penchant for revenge dramas so it's my cup of tea. But, yeah, Coffee House, YUCK.

Yes. If there is something I love more than Kdramas it's scifi and Firefly is my favorite tv show of all time!

Aww. Thanks. Although I guess watching so many dramas really means I have no life, so not sure if I should be proud or depressed. Ha. Oh well. I am what I am.:-)
I tried Big because of Gong Yoo - but I couldn't get through I'm sorry. I watched 'Will it Snow for Christmas'…
Moko, you totally just reminded me of more! I watched Birth of the Rich, Lee Pyung Kang AND Merry Mary all for Ji Hyun Woo. Truth be told, I found Lee Pyung Kang cute enough to tolerate but Merry Mary is terrible. I too suffered through Young Lady for Yoon Eun Hye, ugh, and Vineyard Man too!
I've only seen I'm a Cyborg, but I loved it. It was refreshingly different from any other Korean films I've seen and its strangeness reminded me of The Science of Sleep or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I don't think everyone would like this movie, but if you do like stuff that is truly quirky and oddball, this is for you.
Fashion King - for Yoo Ah In, but finished for Lee Je Hoon and this is my lowest rated drama.
Great Seer - for Ji Jin Hee & because I love sageuks, but this one was turd.
Big - for Gong Yoo and the Hong Sisters.
Coffee House & Exhibition of Fireworks - for Kang Ji Hwan
Playful Kiss - for Kim Hyun Joong
Bachelor Vegetable Store - Ji Chang Wook
Temptation of an Angel - Bae Soo Bin
A Man Called God - Song Il Kook
Panda & Hedgehog - for Donghae and Choi Jin Hyuk
7th Grade Civil Servant - for Joo Won
