I'm actually watching Rookie Historian. You're right. It's quite good so far, and I'm glad to know it ends well.

I watched about half of Peach Blossoms, but got busy and still haven't finished it. I'm really bad with finishing dramas, especially the super long ones.

Thank you! Most Chinese historicals seem to have tragic/sad or open endings. Neither of which I'm really a fan of most of the time.

I realllllllly dislike investing that much time in a drama that ultimately has a trash ending. Has anyone finished it? Does it stay good to the end? Have a HE? Please post a comment as a spoiler if you know!

All the undercurrents, doubts, and mistrust flying through the room in the last few minutes of the drama, and yet Soo Yeon is still clueless. LOL.

And the award for most awkwardly translated synopsis by a machine goes to this drama!

And after five minutes of screaming, crying, and shaking the injured person, who might not have had a brain injury but probably does now, they still haven't taken 5 seconds to dial 911. Maybe they would have lived if you hadn't waited 3 hours to call an ambulance.

Seirei no Moribito: Balsa (I think I just liked how each of these women were quirky or different from their societies idea of how women should act, dress, etc., and yet they were comfortable in their own skin.)

All Bong Soon did was beat people up, often way too excessively imo, and moon over her crush for half the drama. I had huge issues with the amount of violence in that show anyway. Yes, it was portrayed cartoonishly, but still came across as gratuitous to me. Min Min was the only thing I ended up liking about that drama.

Now that I'm up to11 I can see I was off. I guess it was just the way the actor portrayed the CP in a few scenes.

Or Li Bi was just really tired from all his strategizing and plotting and really needed a nap. LOL I guess the low-key shady vibes I got from the CP during the few scenes I've seen so far must be my imagination.

Well that relationship went from 0 to 60 real quick.

Same for me. I have serious personal issues about cheating, but because I really like Jasper I checked out the first episode and it just sucked me in. I've only had time to watch the first 3 episodes, but I like how the writers are showing that grey area so well. Even though both characters are in long-term relationships, almost from the beginning you can see the cracks that would weaken a relationship and lead to the main characters being drawn to each other. And the chemistry is so strong between Kehuan and Wei Wei you're rooting for something to happen even though it's wrong. LOL

So, so grateful to all the fan subbers, many of which also time and segment the drama as well, out there.

Once her true colors were revealed, I lost all sympathy for her. People like that are just leeches.

Yeah, my biggest complaint so far is how Kehuen keeps forcing physical contact. I'm going to need some mutual reciprocation soon.

Everytime the GF says she only doing it for Kehuan's future I want to throw something. She's willfully choosing to ignore how unhappy he is. I mean they're not even sleeping in the same room anymore. She says she loves him, and maybe really believes that, but she's completely tied to him financially from the looks of things so a lot of her tears and panic probably come from losing the money more than losing him.
On Wei Wei's side, it's not as easy because she does love/care for her boyfriend, and they've also been together for 3 years. Also she won't admit to herself that a part of her isn't happy in the relationship. The next episode should be interesting.

I thought the same thing, and just posted that. LOL I do think WW is attracted to KH at least subconsciously and was using the whole for
the greater good as an excuse to do something she knows is wrong but wants anyway.
