This movie was amazing! You grow to become attached to all of the characters, and the ending is sad but empowering. It's an excellent mix of comedy,realism and an after taste of the darker side of society, tearful moments. A little girl looking for a father she has never known, a petty criminal who never knew he had a daughter, and an orphanage worker dealing with her own pain by helping children. Each finds something they never dreamed of, and fill an emptiness in each other. Filled with odd twists, some heart warming moments and tragedy at a moment of triumph, yet again things are destined to come together do comes together at the end. If you take aside the bittersweet ending, this film can show to anyone who wants to see the goodness in people come out despite having been forgotten it's a really good choice to watch it .The little girl is adorable, with her acting his so real that it makes you tear up even more when come the moment to part. It a good movie for a coming of age, it's well thought, cute, funny and suspenseful, but definitely a tear jerker.

Ok I can see all the people out to kill me but because I was not totally happy with this I gave it a 8 overall rewatch value. Why because even thought you can totally say that it's a pleasant comedy about two people who are heavily involved in the dating scene, they are both experts at snaring members of the opposite sex. They then meet in each other their match. A particular strength of the movie is showing what they really think while they say whatever they think the other one needs to hear. There are two shortcomings to this film. The first one is a mild one, which is that there are cultural nuances which Westerners might not catch. This is minor and I think with repeated viewings, one might understand. The other is a major one. With the man, one knows what his object is: obviously, sex with the girl. With the girl, it is unclear what her goal is since she confides to her girlfriend that she finds him attractive, yet she leads him on and on and on. She is supposed to be a seductress, yet she avoids many opportunities to bag him. Oh, well, still a pleasant comedy.

This drama is BRILLIANT it adds a supernatural element to a revenge mystery/crime story and that what makes it unusual. The writing and characters are well balanced.To really appreciate the depth of this drama you have to be willing to watch something with less romance, and lots of psychology. It really powerful to see how one of the characters uses other greed, sins and fears, to exact revenge. Since he is a manipulator, he is like a "devil" working in the background... and you won't be able to pin any of the crimes on him. The Devil is perfection in terms of production,scripting & acting, the music could have been better.It was intelligently-written and incredibly well-acted.JJH was phenomenal!! Granted it is dark,intellectually perplexing and tragic.In fact,I am going as far as to say that it's not suitable for the faint-hearted. It really shows in a simple manner that people are not completely good or bad.That there is a cost of in everything that we do but that no matter what we choose be it revenge or ignorance there's always a way that allows us to contemplate the possibility of redemption and forgiveness for people who,because they have lived in darkness for so long,have committed unforgivable deeds for the sake of a purpose they deem justifiable.I still in shock that this drama is so unrated and really not see as a blockbuster. The Devil is very a deep and complex drama that actually lets the viewers immerse themselves in the story and feel for all of the characters, making you pose at each turn and ask yourself would I have done better.People who are used to watching more mainstream dramas would probably not be able to appreciate it if they do not watch it with an open mind.

This was a predictable but extremely heartfelt movie that really stress the importance of family. Nothing will surprise you in this gem of a family film but it cleverly tugs on just the right heartstrings to keep you watching to the very end. It was so refreshing to see a well-written, well acted movie that tells an amazing story without ever relying on gratuitous violence or sexuality. Also, the stories that unfold around a culture's most prized dish are wonderful and it really makes you realize that to many people, food is the language of love. It's one of those rare films that the whole family can enjoy and despite it's two hour running length the time will fly by.

Although it is not a really knew subject that was brushed on in this movie we have to admit that it's simply fascinating to watch all those people with culinary skills do what they do the best. This movie just makes your mouth waters from beginning to end. Although It was not set to be a romantic movie I still deplore the fact that any love story here? was not fully developed subtly hinted, but we may have to applaud the director flawless superfuge in making it still subtle enough to make the viewers understand. The cooking skills are what definitely would have made me give this movie a full 10 out 10! if only I had found so much similarity in the plot has in the Drama Gourmet ,thought I have to admit that for a movie the plot hole were nicely filled. Seeing how the combination of ingredients are being mixed, chopped,give the viewers enough imagination to actually makes you imagine the taste!
The rivalry between the 2 chefs is also well presented. The lunacy of the grandfather is another mystery. But this entails the loving and tender care showed by the grandson. oh my… then the sufferings of the coalmaker - Han and his story with his mum. Then the story of Chef Ho and his grandfather and Sung Chan & his grandfather. In clear this movie should actually get full mark on it's ability to nicely transpose three different story into one story.

Soo Hee and Moo Hyun were married but were separated due to unfortunate circumstances when Soo Hee was taken prisoner during a war , she indeed escape, but her husband family did not see things in that light and from a small misunderstanding a bigger tragedy unfolds. I personally thought that the actors in this drama did a really good job portraying each of their roles. It may seemed like a recycled story to some but, I think that the people watching this should actually objectively sit and watch it with fresh eyes. The story was given the right amount of plot holes, so that people are given the opportunity to feels in the missing pieces on their own.

I'm a huge Kim Sun Ah and Cha Seung Wong Fan and I have to say that I loved every minutes of this show. And man All of Cha Seung Wong Dramas have great ending ... I really applaud their dedication in touching subjects that people usually shy away from, because it's a know true that very few people want to mention the themes of unemployment, poverty, agricultural sovereignty, political and corporate corruption, pollution( although not really something hammered on.) and collusion this drama presents.Besides partisan politics and what constitutes democracy. Although the drama start a little slow it's doesn't slide awa y of the marks once it find it's marks. It's definitively a wonderful feel-good romance with adults, adult feelings and drama that was believable and compelling.I personally was one of those person who didn't want to watch it because I didn't feel like getting into a political show, and deal with all political jargon and all other headaches that usually comes with politics but after starting it I realize that though there were obviously political issues throughout the show, it was first and foremost a love story that put a huge mile high smile plastered on my face and make you say wow. Since watching it last year ( well we are in 2012 and all) I have rewatched it times. It is the top ten of my recommended drama.

It is inherently an investigative procedural with a supernatural twist that doesn't make you cringe because you may have a what the heck was those fx effects for. With each episodes the writers peels away layers of the story to ultimately reveal motives of the human heart. Our leading man Yun Jung Hoon in the role of prosecutor Min Tae Yeon uses his Vampiric prowess to solve violent crimes and I have to say that his portrayal his just perfect if you can look away of the eyeliner that in my opinion is just put a little to excess. The truth is in the blood--a taste of a victim's blood shows him glimpses of the last moments before death. Thrilling, sympathetic and so fresh--this show is a pleasure to watch. The biggest mystery surrounds Prosecutor Min Tae Yoon, tragic past in tow, who was turned into a Vampire under murky circumstances by an unknown sire. We're given juicy tidbits of clues along the way, and episodes are getting more interesting as characters continue to develop and the story gains depth. Top ratings for this innovative new drama--one of the best I've seen. A big reveal in EP 11...what a twist! And season 2 is being strongly considered right now. My only complaint and just because of that I did not give the drama a 10 is Lee Young Ah as Yoo Jung In the daughter of a mafia leader ( reveal in ep 10) who to escape her upbringing decided to live for the law. I don't really know how to get along with her characters , her acting seems force and her action rash, it seems to me like the writers don't really know what to do with her characters. So What to say about this one, if that it's really not a drama that should be compared to Coffee Prince , because in my opinion they have nothing to do with one another. Don't get me wrong I like 1st Stop Coffee Prince , but I have to admit that the story line in this one is better. This is probably not one of Ariel best characters but there's no doubt in my mind that she's a really talented actress, for that her and Wilson make you come back week after week to find out what they are going to do next. In time with you is really one of the Best Taiwan Drama I have seen so far , and probably one of the best Asian drama I have seen this year. And seriously the ending was just perfect, it was really worth all those weeks of frustration. But this Drama is totally recommendable because it as the perfect balance of wistfulness, drama, humor and it's really childish yet mature. A real regal for the senses.

In Fathers House Choi Min-soo in his acting return gave it is all, but we should not leave out young rising actor Kim Soo-hyun, who had recently drew buzz for his performance playing Go Soo's younger character in Will It Snow For Christmas, And Sam Dong in Dream High. Their performance is just out heartbreaking and so strong-felt, there's no doubt that when watching this drama that is about a man(Choi Min-Soo) who has a one-night stand with a woman (Moon Jung-hee).Who because he has to serves some time in prison leaves her alone, it isn't until he is released that he realizes he has become a father; the mother has dropped off the boy with his closest relations (a man who is like a father figure to Choi character) and headed back home to the U.S. We are then taking through a series of event that show us how he becomes a loving father who is able to sacrifice anything for his song. The best thing to do while watching this is to have a great box of tissues ready, because you will be move once more has Choi shows that he's indeed a disgusting good actor who when he's ready to move you does it to the core.
