but this gives me major Goblin and My Love from the Star vibes the female lead's acting is a biy childish didn;t enjoy unique lady too much so i don't know

lol legit no sleep my eyes were dried out for the entire week now I haven't been binging any new dramas since haha only watching the currently airings and I started Ming Lan a while back and stopped watching at ep 14 I might have to pick that one back up

Honestly everyone is raving about 2020 a new year all these things but I'm excited for one reason only: the Pillowbook finally airing lol

LOL Jade Lovers I used to be excited for that I'm kind of over it at this point but we'll see how that turns out

I'm going to hold back from watching because they usually always have the first week of episodes (5-6 eps) eng subbed and then the rest takes way longer to come out like what happened with Royal Nirvana so going to wait it out until there are a handful of episodes subbed

The trailer gives me Rise of the Phoenixes vibes though it looks great

The entire cast did a phenomenal job
Ni Ni's acting is incredible it feels so natural top notch acting and love the 2nd couple so much

Jing Xiu's enitre story was so good too

I fell for his charming gaze from ep 1 of Hua Rong and thought he was handsome in Love and Destiny too

The poster is so beautiful gives me some novoland vibes

It's not bad but most people are mad that it feels l;ike a cheap rip off to Story of Yanxi Palace which has the same actress and male lead and many other actors, some people say it's like they were trying to milk it's popularity, I highly recommend the Story of Yanxi palace it is similar to the Story of Minglan except a bit more fast paced

Anyways, the actors do a phenomenal job in both dramas but this one (Legend of Hao Lan) from what I've seen most people dropped it halfway or dislike the ending

Just binged story of Yanxi Palace which was amazing I can't wait for this but I hope it doesn't feel recycled

I'm excited to see Yinglou's cameo again though

I feel like they edited out half the backstory and try to jam pack the explanations I'm so confused there's so many characters this drama should have been at least 40-50 eps long
I usually complain about the slow pacing for cdamas but this one sped over too many characters it's hard to get into

I'm on ep 8 and it feels mediocre like I don't really care about any of the characters also Li Xian's hair style is just...NOPE (for me)

Fu Heng's death scene made me BAWL he deserved better but his story was written beautifully even until the end he was devoted to only Ying Luo I truly believe that he was the one she loved all along

Of course she fell for the emperor as time went by but she always had feelings for Fu Heng and they seemed more sincere Her reaction to his death to the background music sent me chills and Ming Yu's suicide was so sad too I wish she married the one she love and live out the rest of her days with him at least

My eyes are so dry from watching this continuously finished in 2 days now I'm lacking sleep and what an emotional roller coaster

This really picks up around ep 11

Part of me feels like Yingluo still loves 2nd male lead the most while the other one was out of duty and more calculated I'm glad I decided to watch this in time for the spinoff I can't get enough

THIS DRAMA IS SO GOOD I started watching for Song Yi since I love her as Fan Ruo Ruo in Joy of Life but I fell for Nie Yuan's character Ming Chuan

Everyone needs to watch it just download it while you are doing something else or watching another drama from the IQIYI app I find it the best way to watch without ads or interruptions
