On the other hand, I was always interested in history and for me the conflict about nationalism and racism is part of my biography and also a part of my bachelor course, so I get easily moved by it.

There is so much to learn from dramas i.e. about how society works and about asian history. I am really happy you liked our article and you could take something with you.

I know why you differ between asian and western history (and it's a shame we never learn about it in school) Well I knew that Japan was an imperialist state, and that they joined Germany in the war (not to forget pearl harbor and hiroshima and nagasaki) But I never knew to which extend they were lost into their fascism believes. I was really shocked to see that in bridal mask. So basically for me Japan is the Asian Germany in some ways. But since Japan always denies their history (like they still are proud about the kamikaze bombers and the issue with the comfort women) it's not that public cause no one is talking about it and no one is remembering and reflecting it (at least not like we germans do). Maybe that's the reason why I had to compare it so much and always felt remembered.

Yeah I can totally relate to the shunji part. That's why it was so hard to see that till the end he didn't stop or couldn't.
But I think it was more realistic that way, otherwise, they would have become in some ways heros, and at that time there weren't that many of them.

I love marthons. Before I started watching dramas I had manga marathons or book marathons. There is nothing better than that XDDD
The best about dramas is when you start the next episode and you will say this is the last one then I will go to bed, and then you are at the end of the episode and you will say 'okay just this episode then I will go to bed' XDDD always happens to me

The best marathons are that with dramas with ep 40+ you will start watching, go to bed early in the morning wake up at midday and watch till the early morning. After the third day the people you are living with will think that you got crazy and think you don't have any social life XDDD

but it's really an interesting question: If I hadn't watch XXX-Drama as marathon would it have become more precious to me. Or would I still think that it was boring.

I am not satisfied with the king either, but if read about the real Gongmin than the screenwriters did a good job to portray him. Goryeo was at its end and really unstable at this time with a lot of corruption. Gongmin tried to establish reforms but failed because the aristocracy wouldn't accept them (hence there were two assasinations and the last one worked) In some ways he was or tried to be a good king but he couldn't change the circumstances. But Gongmin in the drama annoyed me, too (even though it was near the truth)

WOAHHH! They are doing it till the end to get on my nerves. How I hate last episodes of romance dramas without a kiss. For the rest it was nice, though. BUT THE KISS ;.;

hm, i think it's one of the best airing atm together with innocent men. Not too many clichés, well there are but they don't drag them or make them stand out and concentrate on other things. But I am still afraid that this could change and get bad. Maybe you wait a little more

How can someone not be addicted to it. Tumblr is great. (you just need time for it.... which I somehow don't have >.> stupid real life...) But yeah it made me smile the whole day while i remembered it. I will get to visit your profile more often just for the updates ^-^

Wait till it's fully aired and then do a marathon. I think with that the boring parts will be of no consequence and you can enjoy it much better. It's a good drama, they just stretched it too much
