Dang it, another happy ending that's not very satisfying. Why can't they extend the last episode by like 15 min and show Kurosawa dating Shibata, then propose to her and visit her family again as her real fiancee. The happiness only lasted for like 1 minute...... I'm not happy with how it ended!!!
Kinda hard to get through the 1st episode....I mean, both Du Zi Feng's adoptive father and mom would have been dead if the hitman/gangster/assassin had pulled the trigger when he was like 3 feet from them, instead of like 50ft.....and why did he even run away after the first failed attempt?
Also, when Du Zi Feng was surrounded by a bunch of gangsters, the first guy who pretended to be hurting on the ground had a knife on him, how come the other 12-14 people didn't have knives on them?
And the crazy horse scene where Du Zi Han fell down then stood back up, petrified, waiting for the horse to hit her? How did Pi Ya Nuo even save her from such a far distance? lolz the guy who was riding the horse looked like he passed out.......but if that was the case, he would have fallen off the horse though.......
There are plot holes here and there in the first episode. Hopefully there won't be any in the later episodes.....seems like a good drama.
How did the creepy pervert even escape from Bong Soon (ep 5)???!!!!!
My thoughts exactly! She could have slapped the pervert and he would have been unconscious. It's almost as if the writer wanted the pervert to get away so the story won't just be all about romance. They could have just come up with another villain character.
My life would be semi-complete if they could make a 2-hr special where
1. Ye Hua and Bai Qian hold a wedding.
2. Ye Hua's cousin (the princess) chasing after Bai Qian's fourth brother and they eventually become a couple.
3. Zi Lan (16th) finally realizes he can't live without the ghost princess. He decides to stop being a disciple at Kun Lun Mountain and travels high and low to find his love.
4. Lords from all over the places are seeking Feng Jiu's hand in marriage. Feng Jiu only has feelings for Lord Dong Hua and so she rejects all proposals. Dong Hua asks the Heavenly Lord for a King position in the North Sea so he can calmly prepare to meet his destined calamity. Dong Hua becomes King of the North Sea and occasionally thinks about Feng Jiu. Feng Jiu heard from Star Lord that Dong Hua is no longer in the Celestial Palace and that he's about to face his destined calamity. She goes to the North Sea to accompany him for his remaining years. Dong Hua also wants to spend his remaining time with Feng Jiu.
5. Fast forward to 200 years later, Ye Hua and Bai Qian have another child together. A-Li is jealous of the newborn baby. Zi Lan (16th) finally finds the ghost princess; they smile and hug each other. Feng Jiu's resting on Dong Hua's shoulders; they talk about their time together. Feng Jiu says she wishes time would freeze in this moment. Dong Hua kisses Feng Jiu's forehead and says: Me too.....
THE END!
~of course all of the above won't happen..............
Currently watching this. It's great so far. But I gotta say, the execution scene (ep 5) where they swapped the body and nobody found it weird was full of sshit...
And the fake 100,000 men (ep 23) was a very cheap trick to get out of the besiege. Even if none of the enemy soldiers saw Bai Ping Ting and her soldiers putting up the scarecrows, where did they manage to get 100,000 uniforms, helmets, and spears?? I'm enjoying the drama so far so don't get me wrong, it's just that I feel cheated.
EDIT: too long and draggy ~ should have ended with like 35 episodes.
Not sure how others could have rated this drama a 10/10. If I were watching this drama and DFBB died towards the end, I would have shut down my computer and stop watching dramas for like....2 days. I hate that feeling when you're like 10 episodes until the end of drama and the characters you rooted for died, and nobody cared.
I had similar thoughts when I was watching these highly rated dramas. So glad to know that I'm not the only one who thought these were overrated. But then again, what do I know about great or not great dramas.
Ugh...waiting on season 3 before I start watching this.
REALLY wanna start watching it now....BUT.....
Heard that both season 1 & 2 ended with cliffhangers.
This drama only good from episode 1 to 32. I nearly threw my laptop away when Linghu Chong asks Ying Ying to get…
Thanks for saving my fragile heart from watching this drama. The trailer looks so good, but the rating wasn't high. I had a feeling that was because of the ending. If it had a happy ending, I wonder the rating would have been higher.
The main leads had a happy ending, but I still feel like the ending wasn't very satisfying. They could have extended the final episode by like 10 minutes and gave Ye Hua and Bai Qian a wedding.
The ghost princess should have had a happy ending with the immortal Zhi Lan. They both have feelings for each other, I don't know why Zhi Lan didn't end up with her.
There were many contradicting concepts in this drama, but overall it was a great drama. I finished watching 58 episodes in 4 days.
I love Wuxia dramas but almost 95% of them have very sad endings. I didn't watch this drama until I found out for sure that it had a happy ending. If anyone knows of a good Wuxia drama, please let me know. But it must have a happy ending! Thanks.
Watched this with high expectations because of the high rating and positive comments. It was very hard for me to get through the first 2 episodes. The whole robbing and escaping from the cops bored me.
Right off the bat, Yamaneko was captured and being beaten up by a group of people. While they were taking him to another place, he was able to somehow beat up 3 guards and the driver. Then he slowly walked under the moonlight and sang a song...... not sure why this scene was necessary, and how come the bad guys didn't chase after him? He didn't shoot or stab anyone, it's hard to believe that he knocked everyone out. For the sake of the argument, let's just say he did knock everyone out.
Fast forward to 3 years later, he's now known as the Wild Cat. He robs only from the bad guys and does not kill anyone. A magazine writer was writing articles about a genius hacker called Mao, but for some reason, this writer decided to stop writing about the hacker. Wild Cat needed to find this hacker and he has a hunch that the writer knows who the hacker is, so he put a bomb bracelet on the writer to make him cooperate with him..... When the bomb bracelet got put on the writer, he didn't seem panicked at all. He looked like his best friend was playing a joke on him.....Okay, maybe we can also overlook this.
With the help of the writer, Wild Cat found the genius hacker, who is a 17-year-old girl. The girl's father, who runs a bank, had killed her mom, but she didn't know this. Wild Cat showed her the evidence that her dad did kill her mom, and so she decided to help Wild Cat break into her dad's bank......Neglecting the mystery how the bank only had a few guys monitoring security cameras and no other guards are around, how did Wild Cat, the girl, and the writer escape from a vault, which has no windows, air vents, or back doors? There were like 20 cops blocking the main entrance to the vault......
I guess I can pretend to think that they had super powers. I'm not gonna make comments on Wild Cat's hair style, but who wears sunglasses at night??? Of course these are just my personal opinions. Maybe I'll pick it up again, but most likely not.
Surprisingly a good drama. It would have been a better drama if it were only about 13 episodes long. If only the monk had talked to Bong Pal and Hyun Ji when he had doubts about the evil professor, then there would have been no need for the last 3 episodes. Why is it that in all dramas, people can't speak up but decided to bring up the problems when it's way too late? Since Korean dramas are usually about 16 episodes, I feel like the director/writer decided to just drag it out a little longer. I would have preferred quality over quantity.
It's a good drama overall, but VERY frustrating and annoying at times. I mean, if you're following someone because you suspected that he's kidnapping your friend, and later on the road you found out he IS kidnapping your friend, what would you do? What's that? You wanna call your kidnapped friend's boyfriend so all of you can go die together? That makes sense. Why the hell would you call the police at this point, that would be pointless.
~ Watched this while waiting for more Introverted Boss.
I dropped right after I saw the actions on the first episode. A bunch of bull crap. A guy riding a horse, jumping…
There are probably over 20 pages of comments with good-feeling feedback on this drama because for those that think it's one of the best dramas, they felt like they just had to shout it out. Well, the same goes for me, even though most don't agree.
I did watch the first episode and half of episode 2, but if I were to point out the scenes that totally don't make sense, hatred and chaos are gonna happen again. The acting is super, no doubts. Again, opinions are just subjective.

A pointless argument is what it is. It's funny how it's ok for some to say they like something and why, but it's not ok for others to say they hate it and why :)

"like to get into argument with strangers" <- LOL you meant you or me? Look back, you jumped in and called some stranger a 'loser' for not liking your favorite drama, sad. And again, not everyone in this world thinks this is a great drama. Yeah, go convince the world, l-o-s-e-r.
Oh, FYI, I do own some Korean dramas on DVDs, I just don't bother telling l-o-s-e-r-s like you what I like or dislike.
Is 'loser' your mom's favorite word? What are you, 12 or 14?
