it's romance, drama movie, and the struggle of first love and all its obstacles
Spoiler: these 2 dramas have a similar ending both ends but the girl having two choices but the ending never said about what kind of choices they made.
Both movies have the same vibe. Although Han Gong Ju is filmed more darker, Dogami has the same 'based on reality'-topic. Both are 'watch one time only' movies and I found Dogani more difficult to watch. (still wanna cry)
the male lead character knows parts of the future and try to save the girl he will fall in love with.
both deal with the topic how to spend the last days of your life and with whom
Both are about a cop going to a college professor for help in investigations
Both have parents worried about their daughters and frantically trying to save them - both include some strange elements. Both are suspense thrillers.
its the sequel but with different characters
but the female lead in the thumping spike one had a female lead older than the male lead and the female lead in thumping spike 2 had female lead at the same age or younger than the male lead

Both dramas are featured in a school-like plot. They both feature a sport despite the difference.
The female lead has a similarly cold and distant personality before meeting the male lead, who helps her open up and overcome her fears in relationships.
Similar story line With Kazuya as main lead and star cast with Yamashita and Harikita Maki.
A touching story of making a girl who is unpopular and bullied to where everyone excepts her

Both of these dramas star Nakama Yukie as "Saki", and although the stories are quite different they give off a similar feeling. Nakama Yukie is brilliant, and her acting is compelling and terrifying at the same time. These two stories could be the same person, but they could also be not.
Both talk about the corruption and both of main leaders try to "save" the people from that corruption.
Both main men have a sad past story.
Both main woman want to show the true and are really correct.
In City Hunter they use body and brain to make justice and Pinocchio they use brain and just a bit of body.
They are simillares but even very different...

The 'ugly' and clueless girl has to deal with her piteous day to day while she tries to find her own dream. The female lead is also constantly compared to her more beautiful and successful sister/best friend.
Blatantly pimped throughout each episode of this first part of the Cupid Series. The lead female character, Toey's character, Hunsa, loves Sailor Moon (I loved it too---long live Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter).
As we all know. Usagi was a bit slow on the uptake and Darien was a smart hottie, also known as, Tuxedo Mask. Tuxedo Mask was a jerk to Sailor Moon, Darien less so to Usagi. But I mean totally brutalized her with insults. Hard core bullying. So that fits right in to where the storyline was going as far as the relationship dynamic in this story at times.
Darien was very intelligent. I believe he had a scholarship for college, while Usagi was failing---I remember on one test she had a 10%. However, she has a good heart and she cares about people.
As I mentioned previously with Naoki's from Itazura na Kiss --- Usagi and Hunsa are massive crybabies.
The live action was a hit, although I hated it. But the anime's are brilliant.
