Midnight Museum was a very ambitious project, there is mystery, science fiction, dark magic and curses, fantasy and even some religious jargon thrown into the mix–everything and nothing because it did not create a cohesive plot. It was almost as if the show makers couldn't decide exactly what they wanted to create, not to mention it also as very convenient plot points.

The biggest fallacy of this show is its pacing. When Khatha's museum is robbed, the dark artefacts he has stowed away make their way into innocent hands and create chaos. The first six episodes revolve around a bunch of random people discovering these artefacts and killing a bunch of other random people. The excitement is boosted by bunch of random cameos by a l o t of popular gmmtv actors. Also, did i say "innocent people" because no, these were terrible people and the artefacts brought out the worst in them. It was fun as the kill count kept increasing with each episode, but it does get boring after a while you know? In retrospect, I wonder if the show was created for this very purpose, to showcase the gmmtv roster.

Throughout this however, gmmtv was working on the gayest bromance to ever exist—the story of Dome and Khatha. The actors, Tor and Gun, have a "to die for" chemistry, probably because they themselves are very capable actors. Honestly, without them and their "bromance", Midnight Museum would have ended up on my drop pile. Their intriguing past and the estranged soulmates thing they had going for them was really awesome, at the very least it did keep me impatient every week for the ep to air.

After episode 6, the show kind of loses steam in terms of fantasy. We are now thrust into the emotional exploration of Khatha's past and we learn some unexpected (and some very expected) things. Cue another cameo. But this was really strong development on the "bromance". Then all of a sudden we are thrust unceremoniously into the possibility of multiverse. Think multiple moons, nerd scientists, communicating with the past from a different galaxy–hardcore shit. And Dome is lost!

Now with the sudden absence of my favorite on screen off screen straight gays, I was examining the plot and all I saw was a string of unexplained bizarreness with some murder thrown in; plot holes or a lack of plot to even have holes! And lo! We have been fooled ;) There is no plot, is what I realised as even more bizarreness unfolded in front of me.

Coming to the characters, Bright as a moth-eating murderer was more developed as a person than the supposed important side characters of this series. Take June for example, I found so many viewers confused as to who she was although it was actually shown in the very first episode, in a very confusing way. Then there was Bam, a "spunky" officer; i put that in quotes because spunky equates to useless and dumb enough to be killed. And Phob, he supposedly helped Khatha do undercover work ...

In shows like these, I usually turns to the villains. But the villains here were either behaving like a lazy grouchy teenager or cult leader (played by Tay Tawan, LOL)—they seem to be power hungry and they did given Nanon some very good one liners and Tawan a lot of swag, but their motivations were largely unclear.

Even my favorite b̶r̶o̶mance seems undeveloped now as the Dome in the past wasn't Dome at all! Won't spoil any further but as much as i liked seeing them together, it doesn't make sense to me (but I won't take points for that, bc I love my straight boys). I won't even take points for this queer baiting because wow, that good.

Overall, this has been a terrible disappointment but i can't bring myself to rate this a six, as I rightfully should. The overall production is very lazy—lazy fight scenes,

lazy fashion (1. why was Gun always in that fucking grey tee and pants like a prisoner! 2. impractical clothing for women, CHECK 3. sometimes they dressed Khatha so well and sometimes the clothes looked so cheap...)

lazy pacing (it is slow as a sloth till episode 8 and then it's dashi dashi! keep up! till the finish line),

lazy half-assed development of the universe this was set in, the only consistent point being that it is extremely illogical.

Just finished this ~~
Gonna give this 9/10 which is better grade than what I gave to the original (8/10).

Even though it dragged at some points in the middle, I liked how they made it different from original version. At some points especially in the beginning it seemed like an exact copy of the original.

The ending, the "double scene" (you know what I mean haha), them kiss scenes and the acting itself was better than in the original. Except that some characters *cough* Xin Yu and the reporter *cough* were way worse and not as natural or funny like in the original version.

What comes to the acting in general:

- I didn't like how Jiro Wang was missing the "Hwang Tae Kyung" style aka the facial expressions. They were in Japanese version so I was hoping them to be in this one too.

- Su Li Wen was annoying when she was playing Mei Nu playing to be her brother. But when she was playing Mei Nan himself she was kickass. I hope they would've showed more interactions between the twins haha

- As I mentioned above... Hwang In Deok playing Shin Woo / Xin Yu was awkward. A big minus from that. He was worse than Kim Hyun Joong in BOF (Don't kill me. I love KHJ btw)

- Evan Yo as Jeremy was super adorable yet he couldn't reach the level of the original Jeremy played by Lee Hong Ki.

There were no annoying characters in this one. I remember how I hated the mom in Korean version and the biach in Japanese version.

I liked the music in this one of course. I also like how they changed the "Otteokhajeo" to a completely new song. Points from that ~~

But the original one is the best one to me because it's the original and special to me.

Would I rewatch this? No.

Funny, because I can rewatch the original many many times and so far I've rewatched it like 3-4 times.

I guess there is some "magic" in the original one always hahaha XDD

By the way, the Japanese version got 6/10 from me. I can't even remember anything from it...
While I was watching this Taiwanese version I could see the Korean version in my head all the time. Which is why I was always surprised when they added some new things to this version ^^

Heartfelt Slice-of-Life Drama with Charming Characters and Supernatural Twists

Head 2 Head is an emotionally charged slice-of-life drama that blends supernatural elements with raw storytelling and deeply grounded characters. It balances its heavier themes with thoughtful character exploration and heartfelt moments, never losing its light and fun tone. As the series progresses, the stakes gradually rise and the story shifts toward darker themes, adding depth to the narrative while still preserving the sweetness of the romance.

Character Depth: The Heart of the Show
Jay and Jinn are the heart of the story, and they are such lovable characters that it is very easy to root for them and their relationship. Their evolution from bickering frenemies to a deeply caring couple feels earned and natural. I loved that from the very beginning, the attraction between them is palpable, even in their constant bickering. As their relationship develops, they never lose the teasing nature of their dynamic. It simply becomes more playful and affectionate, perfectly reflecting the progression of their feelings. It is one of the sweetest and most satisfying relationship progressions, and I felt so connected to both of them that the emotional gut punches in the second half of the show truly hit me.

The second couple, Van and Farm, while seemingly secondary at first, brings an unexpected depth to the story. Van’s self-sabotaging tendencies and emotional baggage create a complicated but compelling dynamic, and I appreciate that they were brave enough to give us such an easily misunderstood character like Van and took us on quite the emotional rollercoaster with these two.

The Emotional Core: Themes of Loss, Fate, and Fear
At its core, Head 2 Head is about the fear of losing those we love, and how that fear can either drive us to action or paralyze us with inaction. The series poignantly explores grief and love from two complementary angles, making the emotional stakes for both couples feel richer and more real. What makes this show stand out is how it takes its time with these emotional beats. The characters don’t just move from one conflict to another; they struggle, reflect, and grow. There’s a genuine sense of emotional progress, and you’ll find yourself rooting for them every step of the way.

The Acting: Solid across the board with Keen and Java delivering stand-out performances
I’ve been a fan of Sea and Keen’s work for a while now, so I’m slightly biased, but these two are incredibly charming together and have undeniable chemistry. Keen was a natural since his Only Boo performance, and he just keeps getting better with each project. I’m genuinely impressed by the way he expresses emotions, as it always feels like he is living through them rather than simply acting them out. He effortlessly switches between emotions in scenes and convincingly conveys underlying feelings through his eyes and microexpressions. Sea has also improved a lot, and it was refreshing to see him play such a vastly different character this time around. His teasing and joking were entertaining but also carried an underlying tension that only intensified as Jay’s feelings for Jinn grew stronger. I really loved seeing him play such an animated and open character, and I thought he did a great job balancing the playful and emotional moments.

Surf and Java showed great chemistry and tension while portraying the nuances and unspoken feelings of their complex relationship arc. Java played Van with just the right amount of vulnerability and charm, keeping the audience engaged even when Van frustrated you. I also enjoyed all the scenes with the parents and Mai. They were hilarious, added depth, and some heartfelt moments. The cast had amazing chemistry, and the comedic timing was excellent.

Visuals and Direction: A Mixed Bag
There is a lot to like about the visuals of Head 2 Head, such as the vibrant and warm color palette that captures the essence of its settings and characters. The cinematography creates atmospheric shots, and I enjoyed the music choices, both the instrumental tracks and the OSTs. That said, the editing can be quite jarring at times, with some scenes feeling too choppy, especially in the second half of the series. These transitions occasionally pull you out of emotional moments, which was a shame.

While this is not a plot-heavy show, and the supernatural elements primarily serve as a catalyst for character and relationship growth, I wish the vision plot had been incorporated more smoothly. At times it felt slightly repetitive or forgotten. With a few tweaks, such as resolving conflicts slightly earlier, some pacing issues could have been avoided. I understand the tension was intentional, but it occasionally left viewers in the dark for too long and slightly rushed the final conflict in the last episode.

Final Thoughts: They Have My Heart
Head 2 Head is a genuinely entertaining show that blends romance, supernatural elements, and deeply emotional storytelling. The series does an excellent job of exploring its characters and their relationships while balancing its more serious themes with a sweet college romance. It’s a show that takes its time, allowing its characters to grow and evolve in meaningful ways, and I’ve grown incredibly attached to them because of this.

The aspects I would criticize never took away from my personal enjoyment since the emotional core of the series keeps you engaged from start to finish. If you’re a fan of character-driven dramas that tackle heavier themes with sensitivity and empathy, Head 2 Head is a show you won’t want to miss. It’s a comfort show for me, one I’ll keep coming back to whenever I miss these characters.

Tales of Friendship, Resilience and Hope for a Better World

Zhan Zhao Adventures is truly a fitting name for this drama. It starts with a journey and ends in one. The drama does not attempt to overexplain his past or make assumptions about his future but quietly acknowledges that it’s a small part of Zhan Zhao’s long adventures.

ZZA has a classical old school wuxia setting with a blend of historical elements. The storytelling is linear and feels grounded and realistic with lots and lots of intense and brilliantly choreographed fighting scenes. The story follows the journey of three strangers who accidentally met in the Jianghu and through many hardships and trials became each other’s closest confidants. The best part? We can see their stories unfold in front of our eyes and feel their bond deepen in real time. Their bond is not told through stories and flashbacks but seen through arguments, bickering, understanding and constantly having each other’s backs.

The lack of romance might be a dealbreaker for some but personally, it’s one of the best parts of this drama. The lack of romantic entanglements enables the story to properly explore the depth of the bonds between the leads and fully portray the beauty of platonic relationships. And the cast really did an amazing job portraying the nuances of their characters and relationships.

Honestly, Zhan Zhao has my heart. Unlike many people, Yang Yang’s portrayal of Zhan Zhao is my first introduction to this character and I’m already in love. Zhan Zhao carries so much depth and is so incredibly strong – not just in martial arts skills but also, there is incredible strength in his resilience, in his kindness, in his maturity, restraint and faith. His decision to not kill is not rooted in superficial principles but in the hope for a world where justice is equal for everyone and isn’t reserved only for people who can take it with their sword. It’s a decision he is forced to question again and again but still chooses it every time because no one person’s morals can be above the law.

Zhan Zhao is not just a typical good guy with idealistic principles, he’s exceptionally layered and feels so real. And I cannot praise Yang Yang enough for bringing Zhan Zhao to life. Zhan Zhao is good but not naïve - he understands the difficulties, he faces loss, he griefs, he gets hurt, he gets tired and yet, he endures, he gets back up and moves forward. His every action, small or big, is a testament to his strength, resilience and kindness. Stretched between the free-spirited jianghu and the suffocatingly bureaucratic court of law, Zhan Zhao represents the best of both worlds.

Bai Yutang’s headstrong and impulsive nature is a refreshing contrast to Zhan Zhao, and it was really fun to watch them bicker and try to navigate their different personalities. Their relationship dynamic has to be my most favourite part of this drama. Their characters are written really well and is one of the rare instances when developing the second male lead didn’t take away from the male lead but quietly elevated their character. It was fun to see Bai Yutang wreaking havoc and throwing tantrums, but it was also incredibly moving to see Zhan Zhao dealing with him with so much patience, maturity and kindness.

I also love how Huo Linglong’s personality matched both Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang so well. She was always understanding of Zhan Zhao’s actions but also had a rebellious streak which complemented Bai Yutang’s impulsive nature. She is strong, perceptive and curious, and I think not having a love interest really allowed Linglong to be her own person and pave her own path; it gave her a chance to truly see the world like she always wanted and develop authentic relationships.

The pacing was more or less good even if I watched the first few eps in a somewhat lukewarm state but once I got hooked, it got better. The plot takes a little time to fully be grasped but is aptly tightly woven without any fillers. The writing is done well, and the drama did a good job of balancing the development of plot and characters so that it doesn't feel very plot heavy despite having many elements. The supporting characters are also written well and makes the story more fun and interesting.

Overall, this drama is definitely worth watching but may not be for everyone. If you love action with realistic fight scenes, mystery and investigation dramas with character-driven stories of friendship and growth and are willing to take your time to understand and appreciate the theme and depth of the characters and plot, Zhan Zhao Adventures offers a refreshing and grounded take to our regular wuxia dramas and is really a great watch.

Gong Yoo And Bae Doona Were My Main Reasons For Watching…

In all honesty I sort of feel as though opinions on this show are greatly divided and I can understand why.

I’m a big Gong Yoo fan. I love his works and typically trust his project decisions just as Bae Doona is a brilliant actress and I’m often blown away by her performances. But I often struggled to warm up to their characters. The drama rarely gave us opportunities to really grow to any of the onscreen main leads and supporting cast? It’s hard to explain fully but there were never real moments which were particularly emotional or really made you fall in love with the characters.

As a non sci-fi fan I can’t really say that I’m overly familiar with this genre but I do know that a lot of the storyline did strike a slight chord with me as a bit same-old. I liked how the series helped to show you elements of the world that the series was set in but apart from that it did feel a bit boring.

The pacing was also very slow. I get that the intention was to make you wait and see what would happen but it did turn me off a little during scenes to actually engage in the storyline.

Overall I wouldn’t say this is a bad drama per say but mediocre. I know that South Korea is still pretty new to this kind of genre and I guess we have to take that on board as watchers, but I’ve certainly seen better takes on this genre by South-Korean directors in recent years.

Loved it, and I’ll miss my weekly dose of these adorable idiots

I really enjoyed this drama. Yes, there are cliches. Yes, there are some issues with plot and logic here and there. But not enough to detract from the hilarious moments, the sweetness and the spectacular chemistry between the leads. I really loved their relationship.

Will this drama deepen your philosophical understanding of the universe? Probably not. If you are looking for cognitive enhancement and to ponder deep themes and archetypes, this is not the drama for you. But it doesn’t pretend to be what it’s not.

Will it deliver on what it promises— joyful and (mostly) relaxing viewing? Absolutely. The writing is pretty good, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously. This is the drama for when you want to escape the stressors of life and enjoy something both light and earnest, a combination that often falls flat, but does not do so here.

For what it is, it’s a 10/10.

I was absolutely addicted to this show for the first half. A charming and funny watch for those who can handle a little bit of unnecessary angst along the way.

My rating: 9.0

In Short: The first half of this drama was absolutely hysterical. As soon as the angst hit, the drama was a bit more middling, but still enjoyable. The Jang-couple chemistry was great.

Pros: A great cast, and a wonderful set of side characters. I particularly enjoyed Mi Young's mom, Secretary Tak and Dragon. I also quite liked the music.

Cons: Could have been trimmed down to 16 episodes with great effect. The noble idiocy was a bit too drawn out.

Ugh! So it seems that there will be no Part 3, according to comments found online so far. These Chinese gay dramas are infuriating as they get off to a good start, share a good story, then get banned leaving everyone disappointed that there is no ending, good or bad.

This is the last straw, I m done with Chinese gay dramas unless the entire movie is completed and available.

Such a waste of time, not just for me watching, but everyone involved in making them.

And let me add one more thing... enough with the gay shaming, movie after movie of mothers and fathers falling ill because of their homophobic points of view, enough of the shaming of being gay, by family and so called friends, and classmates.

Though being gay, anywhere in the world can be difficult, there are equally as many men and women who have wonderfully accepting families, friends and communities.

Stop the shame!

I do not like trashy soap opera style BLs....

This series has the same problem as "Love in the Moonlight", with the exception that it was not painful to watch, just cringe. The overdramatized bad guys/gals and the excessive pathos was still the same. And what also obvious, they can't do action right. While it looks nicely coreographed especially in the beginning, you see that the punches do not connect in the slightest. I won't write about the shooting scenes which were just embarrassing.

The only positive I have to say is that DaouOffroad are very good when they act alone or in a serious setting, their chemistry just works. Also the other actors were not bad, but I don't like the overacting and over-dramatization. They could have done this in a serious more thriller-like setting and then the story would have had much more impact, But no, they went the thai way which in this case is bad way.

Spoiler:
The finale was also bad: Pheen has a plan and of course he does not tell his husband. We all know, he can't die, because a BL has to have a happy end (very few exeptions), so he left for a long time, hurting Than again (and again). The reason: Because he needed to change his name, so he can disappear. WTF? Is that, because he don't want to face the consequences of his actions? And he was already married, so he could have taken the name of his husband. And of course everyone dies, so there are no real consquences, no court session to exploit all the bad things the characters did. It's a lazy and cheap way of story-telling.
Edit: Of course the whole inheritance arc did not make any sense, because: if Pheem was decleared dead Than would have inherited the whole company with all the hospitals. Because he was the last legal heir before any uncles and cousins. So Pheem changing his name would not let him get away from his family background because his man would own EVERYTHING. And would be richer than he alone was. And because Than would then be famous Pheem could not be with him. So the writers had no clue what they wrote about and this makes no sense whatsoever.

So considering everything, this is not even a medicore show and I know many will hate me because I think so. But that's what I felt when I watched this and sadly this is also one of the shows I will never watch again, because it's a waste of my time.

The film begins  with Jin-suk's nightmare and naturally goes through a sort of friendly  family, casting mysterious codes, such as a room of doubt, kidnapping  his brother, causing tension and curiosity. Both are  strangely distant from each other, but are double that lead to clues  that will be useful for the truth and reversal of the film to be  developed later.
The first half is immersive. The  secret trick is also reminiscent, the nervous breakdown is the mind of  the person, and it is difficult to take what is reality and what is  fantasy. Above all, the expression and acting of the character that changes moment by moment is the highest point. In  short "Jang Hang Joon" is a medium movie for more, since the elemental  composition that compose it contributes significantly in conjunction  than individually.

weak story, poor writing, skip the first 15 eps

Early on I got very bad vibes of Love Me, Love My Voice, a show I rated at 5/10. There are parallels in the relationship development but I'll try not to repeat the same review.

The 1st thing I notice is the Canada Goose branded outerwear in the opening scenes in another Chinese-in-a-foreign-land scenario. There's a lot of nice designer winter wear in the first 6 eps, yet how is it possible to have packed 5 different puff down jackets into the single suitcase each character carries. But I digress.

Yin Guo is a 21 y/o pedigreed pool player who arrives in Helsinki, Finland with her cousin to check out a univeristy he's interested in while she herself is signed up for a local 9-ball tournament. They meet 27 y/o Lin Yi Yang, a graduate student & retired champion snooker player. It took 4 episodes just to get this much information. I didn't know when the story was starting, what the characters' backgrounds were, or even what their university majors were (& never will find out by the end). In fact, the first 15 eps could easily have been condensed into 3 eps. A lot (& I mean a LOT) of time was spent with the ML staring silently at the FL while she shifted around awkwardly. They don't talk much, but somehow the ML decides he's madly in love. He admits he doesn't know how to date so all he does is take her out to eat, resulting in 8 eps of food touring all over Helsinki. Everyone else just talks about their relationship status. By Ep13 the 9-ball tourny was only a distraction, there's still no story in sight & I've just watched one of the emptiest 15 eps of a drama ever.

This is the 1st time I've seen Leo Wu so stiff & expressionless, like he doesn't know what to do with his character, trying to portray someone deeply pained but not quite getting it. At least with his last sports drama, Nothing But You, we got a detailed glimpse of the tennis world. In Snowstorm there's very little explanation of world of cue sports. Billiards, snooker, pool, 8/9-ball... it's obviously a varied & highly nuanced game but no insights are offered by the time the show is already half over.

Not until Ep15 does the story finally get off the ground after characters from YiYang's past gradually get introduced as they all start converging into Helsinki for the tournament. Things move along as YiYang makes a career decision, the professional competition circuit begins, and he comes to terms with the events of his past, clearing the way forward to a future he strives for. In the beginning it seemed that Yin Guo would be the central character. However, by the 2nd half, all the story conflicts & developments involved YiYang, making him the central character. The show was more interesting whenever there was less focus on Yin Guo, which leads to the question of how important a character is she really, considering all the screen time she gets. She's left unchallenged, unchanged, & actually does very little for YiYang except sleep with him (& almost carelessly at that). After the conclusion of an exciting pan-Asian cue sport competition, the drama reverts to the conventional wrap-up ending, i.e. waste of time final episode, and without really concluding any of the supporting characters' arcs (who weren't that developed to begin with).

So, a disappointing show given that Leo Wu has been in so many other far more entertaining dramas.

I had expected this to be a successful second season to a beautifully written drama.. Even if not better than the first but at least close to it.. But honestly, it wasn’t.. And I totally understand the low ratings.. I really do.. I am not going to blame the story itself.. If this had been a standalone drama or not a continuation, it would have actually been an excellent one.. But it wasn’t.. After watching 34 eps and waiting 5–6 months, you shouldn’t have to sit through another 12 eps of push and pull between the main leads.. Especially letting someone like Liu Lang who is a complete nobody affect their relationship.. The court politics, the mutiny and everything else were solid, but most of what happened in the first 12 eps felt totally unnecessary.. The foundation for the characters was already built.. What they needed to do was move the story forward.. Instead they were still stuck in the same loop.. Repeating what had already happened in the first season.. Honestly I respect the commitment the writing shows, it knows what it wants.. But I didn’t quite get the fulfillment I was hoping for.. I am only whining because I expected more..

If it were possible to erase someone from the story.. It would be Liu Lang.. Enemies?? Yeah I hate them.. But what about people who stay close to you and backstab you?? He literally got his life back and is living well because of the FL and yet he tried to destroy her relationship out of jealousy?? He was supposed to be like a younger brother to her.. His sister did the same thing and now he followed right in her footsteps.. And the fact that this guy hit the ML and still got let off?? I was honestly disappointed at how easily he was forgiven and also how his stupidity and jealousy were sugarcoated as concern for the FL.. Sure he got his redemption arc but he didnt pay for his mistakes..

Liu Chang was pathetic in the first season but here he completely turned into a character unworthy of any pity.. He did some truly nasty things.. It was actually satisfying when the FL hurt him repeatedly, the stabbing scene especially felt good.. But honestly, he still didn’t suffer enough.. That’s why I wasn’t satisfied with how things ended for him.. He should have suffered more pain..

I actually felt sorry for Princess You Zhen.. The cycle of her life was truly sad.. Hurt by the men around her, including her own father.. I am glad she didn’t die in the end.. It meant she had another chance at life, another opportunity to start over..

Ep 19.. I think they were too hasty in confronting Prince Ning.. I mean he literally crushed their decade old plan in just a few days, it felt way too easy.. And the final confrontation, the war could have been handled much better.. It just goes to show how little attention was given to the parts of the story that didn’t have the FL on screen..

While I wasn’t completely satisfied, this was still a watchable conclusion to an amazing story.. In the first season even though Mu Dan was the anchor, the others mattered too.. But in the second season, it became all about her.. No one else had a satisfying storyline.. Even the ML felt underused and sidelined, just to elevate Mu Dan’s character to glory.. I really wished everyone had a meaningful presence..

In the beginning, chocolate did have a lot going for it. There was Ha Ji Won, who is undeniably my favorite actress and who succeeded in portraying a compassionate, graceful woman to the T.

There was food and whole lotta good shots of it which is basically catnip for every foodie out there and me being one, I did a happy dance inside every time I saw someone eating or cooking- which was A LOT.

There was some bromance, sismance, amazing chemistry between the leads and family bonding sprinkled all over it and last but not the least; the message it went out to portray was brilliant.
Despite the inevitablity of death, people can still find moments of happiness. It was beautiful and heart-warming to watch.
In the beginning, that is.

Despite being a slow burn in every sense of the word, the show did go pretty fast for me up to about 7 episodes. I was really really into it but then the monotony started setting in. It's the same K-drama tropes over and over again and soon enough you realize that there isn't much of a unique spin on it.

Call me heartless but when you show me the same sentimental shit and corny deep dialogues in literally every episode, I'll go from being touched to annoyed real fast. That's because over-doing emotion takes the sincerity out of it. Every case was more or less the same and that irked me a lot.

A lot of things were added as useless plot devices and left unexplored. It was almost criminal how little screentime the main couple got. You barely get to see them together till around 12th episodes and even then it's scarce and underwhelming.

I feel like the show dabbled in a lot of things but didn't truly go into depth for even one. And it's a shame truly, given the immense potential.

Towards the end, I just had to fast forward stuff- an urge I was physically restraining for about 14 episodes.

A reviewer said that it's a great drama for new watchers and I agree but if you have already seen these tropes a billion times and in their most basic form, this drama will end up being quite mediocre for you.

I'd rather watch 'Just Between Lovers' that took one of the issues also mentioned in this drama, went in depth with it and actually managed to portray sadness, heartbreak and loss in a way that was never over the top and yet, extremely impactful.
