How Much Comedy Is Too Much??
The brief clash in the rain and the final fight were the only decent moments in this drama.. Everything else felt cringe riddled with forced comedy and unnecessary scenes.. Its frustrating to see such a talented cast wasted on this kind of material..The villain is probably the dumbest.. How can he be fooled so easily by everyone?? Hong Sik is not like the usual villains.. He is dangerous but dumb.. He was even tricked by the arms dealer.. Bit disappointed how it ended.. He was too easy to defeat.. Honestly we were robbed of a satisyfing climax.. And seriously.. Who checks their phone in the middle of a fight??
What was with that random plane door falling??? It felt like a scene straight out of a B-Grade drama..
Kim Nam Gil’s screen presence is truly unmatched.. He is in a league of his own..I think he solely elevated even the weaker moments of the drama..
The camera work throughout was brilliant.. With some truly stunning visuals.. The fight in the rain and the post credits scene fight in the snow were just visually stunning..
Overall this season wasn't as impressive as the first season but i still enjoyed most of it.. I would love to watch another season of them being silly and their absurd adventures but with a better script..

There is suspense, romance, a little action and the trials aren't boring. The way the writers use the fact that So Ha can read minds is excellent. I enjoyed the small things like when Hye Sung's mom wrote on her hand and then later in the drama we see Hye Sung writing on her hand. There are morals to the story as it tries to convey a way to live life. I like what Hye Sung's mom says about not hating and that from birth we have a limited time to love (paraphrasing). Even though it is intense at times, I still came away with an over all good feeling. The character growth is the highlight as all the characters stayed true to their personalities as they learned hard lessons and go through some pretty horrible traumas and grow. Even though there was an extension of episodes from 16 to 18, it was well done and the ending was great.
The acting is daebak!!! Lee Bo Young as Hye Sung was perfect. She plays an excellent flawed character. She is really pretty too. I think her chemistry with both the leads was good. Lee Jong Suk as Park So Ha is a character that I will remember for a long time. I think he really came into his own as a male lead. His chemistry with Lee Bo Young although she is older (I don't know why so many people have a problem with age difference) was good. He was definitely a man. I have read that a lot of people don't like Yoon Sang Hyun. I don't really understand that. I have loved him since Take Care of the Young Lady. His portrayal of Attorney Cha was right on. Lee Da Hee as Do Yeon was also good. I was prepared to hate her, but ended with respecting her. I think Jung Woong In as Joon Kook would rival Yoon Je Moon in the bad guy department. He is really good at making a person hate the character.
As for the music. Even if you don't watch this drama, then check out Jung Yup's "Why Did You Come Now?" and Echo's "Every Single Day" and Shin Seung Hoon's "That Word You Cannot Hear".
I will probably rewatch this at some point.
I recommend this drama for everyone...no matter what genre you prefer.

cute but is not as emotionally hitting
their dating era and everything is so good to watch and brings a smile on my face but i was not emotionally connected to either of the characters.
something that i have noticed in the few korean remakes i have watched is that they mostly shift the female pov to a male one and i think that's the mistake here. i don't remember the japanese version exactly but i think we see the movie mostly through the female lead's eyes and we connect with her a lot more. she was already doing art before the guy suggests it so when she draws him after forgetting him it was more painful. here we don't get to see both of the characters deeply. she is a girl with memory loss and he is just a guy(?)
his death hits very hard in jpn version and we feel the female lead's pain, here all of that happens quite quickly

This show really started with potential but shot in all kinds of direction. To give you a background the male lead is a street lawyer the female lead is a fashion designer. Throughout the story there are three storylines running in the story. You can skip this drama if you think there will be romance. There is romance but hardly between the female and male lead.
1) first story line revolves around Sheng Xia ( female lead) she has her own fashion boutique in NYC. She is working hard to try to achieve her dream as being a more well known fashion designer. Through her journey she has mostly bumps which require the male lead for help in court cases.
2) second story line revolves around the male lead trying to become a laywer ( he's currently just a street lawyer). At the same time he is trying to re- investigate/find evidence for a case that has caused his defendant to get murdered.
3) The third story line revolves around Sheng Xia ( female lead's) childhood friend. She is also into design ,but back in Beijing. Basically it talks about how she went from selling clothes on the streets to getting hired and working as a designer. ( i totally just skipped that storyline)
4) technically there is four storyline. This is the female lead's boyfriend and the female lead best friend. They end up falling for each other. To keep it short the boyfriend never respected Sheng Xia's dream and only wanted to make Sheng xia his wife. Sheng xia felt really insecure about him and didnt like that he kept pressuring her to get married. The second female lead ( her best friend) works with her at her boutique. He sees how caring the bf is to Sheng xia. The second female lead take cares of the bf when he is not feeling well .... so you know what happens...
What was kind of annoying was how they showed three storyline at once....
They tried to pack too many things into one... I definitely would not rewatch.

This drama is not only bingeworthy and brilliant but also highly rewatchable. Its very hard for a drama to be both! Its going in my list of all time favorites.Plot -
The plot is your enemy families entering a truce via marriage alliance. So it involves two people highly suspicious of each other playing games to secure the position of their people. The male lead has an upper hand in this alliance in the beginning but the female lead is sharp enough to turn the tide many times. How they are able to preserve their loyalty and principles while moving forward to a new direction with their alliance is the most interesting part of the show that will have you DYING IN ANTICIPATION. To what extent will they side with each other ? How close will the new challenge end up making them? Will they be torn apart due to their duties? Who will outwit whom? Which allies will join them? This drama is an adrenaline adventure. Yet, it is beautifully paced to make it deep enough to leave you with some thought provoking LIFE LESSONS.
Humor -
The humor is an underrated and underappreciated part of the drama. They have done a brilliant 👏 job with balancing it with the political tension.
Romance -
Natural, slow paced, believable and magnetic 🧲 . Every smile, every touch, little act of kindness and development gives you butterflies 🦋 🦋 in the stomach. None of the characters have an "immediate" or unbelievable change of heart. None of them broke the consistency of their character during the romantic development phase which makes them the most detailed and well written main characters in cdramaland. You empathise with both and you end up rooting for both of them.
Acting and characters - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Both characters are quite mature . Its refreshing!
The Male lead has beautifully expressed the ruthlessness of a general, traumas of a son, cynicism and hatred of an enemy and tenderness of a lover.
The female lead is just a treat to watch. She's the water that exhausts the fire and the sea that is calming but has the ability to bring a hurricane. She plays a peacemaker and a strategist that has been sent to the husband TO STOP WAR or at least create circumstances to make sure that the war doesn't immediately break out. Its pretty obvious to the ML's clan but not many of his advisors hate her for it because her untimate goal is peace and prosperity of people. She's very responsible and rational minded with her goals.👸
The actress effortlessly played this intelligent woman but also SHOWED HER VULNERABILITY with much grace and brilliance. Sometimes, they make characters like her too perfect taking away their "human" nature and making them Gods. That isn't the case with this drama. She's imperfect and vulnerable at many times
Both sides have troublemakers and peacemakers.
The villains are so realistic that they will remind you of actual historical characters or people in your own life. A lot of them are grey as well and you are able to see things from their perspective.
The bonds between the ML and his brothers has a special place in my heart. The same goes for the "sister alliance" of the FL.
THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THE LAST 4 EPISODES.. Hated the last 4 episodes.
All in all, its one of the most memorable dramas I have seen in my life if I exclude the last 4 episodes

I feel like I'm missing something since all the reviews are positive...Segasaki was very toxic, it weirded me out tbh. I'm usually not sensitive to some toxicness in dramas since it's just a drama but this was too much for me. He was highkey stalkerish and abusive. Like that ain't cute at all to me, idk. I was waiting for his character development but it never happened, he actually got worse.
Yoh was fine but he really made me frustrated when he just let him be like that to him.
The couple wasn't even cute. They NEVER talked. I'm not even exaggerating, where's the communication? 2 grown adults living in the same house should be able to communicate. I don't even get why they like each other when they just misunderstand each other and never talk it out. I felt like I watched 8 eps of two guys making out with each other all the time. What was even the point of this drama? Nothing improved, no character development at all, what was the point?
The actors were good tho :)

This that type of drama to let play in the background while you clean.Story was boring.
Characters were annoying.
Leads didn't match each other.
Episodes felt like fillers.
I honestly had to fast forward some of the last episode just so I can get done faster...because I felt like I might fall asleep on it lol.
Nothing else to say about this drama, but glad it's over.

Had potential but lost the track.
I would say this drama has one of the great starting that any drama can had, yep it start with a blast and I thought it has potential to become this years best drama, great starting, good backstory, amazing cast it had all potential to be the best but it lost the track.Cons -
1. They made a very strong second main lead much better than main lead and the first episode was full of the backstory of HJK so it kind of gave hopes to the HJP fans that there is still chance for him.
2. No character development I mean there was nothing new aspect in characters they have same personality from starting to end.
3. This drama should be based on start up but it ended up dragging love triangle all the way that's the thing made this drama a disappointment. I am not upset because of who got the girl thing I am upset because if female lead gonna end up with male lead then what is reason of making 2nd lead perfect?
4. The male lead. One the main reason of failure of this drama I know many of NDS fan's que is what did NDS did wrong but thing is he did nothing, really nothing it was one of the poor written character of the drama without any character development.
5. The female lead. In the first few episodes I thought SDM had potential to be one the strongest and clever female lead, but it became kind of miserable you know they use the concept ( typical ) knight saving beauty.
6. The lovestory between main leads wasn't that interesting.
Pros -
1. Beautiful cinematography I must say the cinematography was great with beautiful camera anglrs.
2. The strong backstory.
3. The relation between HJP or I say Good boy and Grandmother was potraited beautifully it was the thing I liked most in the drama.
4. Ost and soundtrack was amazing I must say.
Overall it was an average drama if you are big fan of main leads or you have a lot of time free then you should watch it. It wasn't all waste of time but it's also not worth of time,

The main genres listed for this drama are comedy and romance, and to be very honest, it tanked in both. I was expecting a light, rom-com with some gym aesthetics here and there but what I got instead was a drama that tried too hard to be funny that it left the romance somewhere in a forgotten side plot, only to dust it off right towards the end (literally!)Do Hyeon Jung is a gym manager/trainer and is portrayed as someone who is obsessed with health and fitness while his business is actually sinking. His entire personality is this loud bloke with exaggerated facial expressions, comedic timing and a baffling lack of professional boundaries. And while I get it is all for the laughs, I was constantly teetering between what he meant well and what was wildly inappropriate. In a real-world context, If I had a gym trainer like that it would be uncomfortable for me.
I won't lie but I did enjoy the slapstick humour in the initial 3-4 episodes but after turning my brains off. He was fun and more of a comedic relief without any depth.
Coming to Lee Mi Ran, our FL had a food-loving or should I say junk food-loving personality. From the initial episodes, I was expecting her to be a bit more layered, someone who could balance the humor out in the drama with the depth of being unapologetically herself. But unfortunately, she was reduced to surface-level traits. I felt like her character was always orbiting around other character arcs. There were moments of vulnerability that could have been explored more deeply to give both the story and her character a bit more depth.
Also, I was searching and kind of expecting some body positivity message while advocating to maintain a healthy lifestyle and realistic take on fitness but the writers clearly decided to use the same "tired stereotypes" because this message might be too heavy! Because the FL really went 2 dress sizes down in like what 2 episodes?!! No. Sorry!
The romance in the drama felt like a forgotten gym membership, where it was paid in full and never used and is only activated towards the end out of sheer guilt. For a drama marketed as a rom-com, you better not blink because you will miss it. Every week I kept waiting for the actual sparks to fly, the emotional tension to build, anything... but instead, I got fitness montages, expected supporting characters' bizarre subplots out of nowhere. I felt both the leads had better chemistry with their ex than each other. By the time, it was "finally" happening, I had checked out of their romance. In the journey of pumping up the healthy love, love was lost along the way!
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a comedy series with a bit of last-minute romance, but if I see a romcom ( see the main genre listed), I expect equal parts of comedy and romance in the driver's seat, not a setup where I have to wait 10 weeks for it to even begin and it still doesn't feel convincing till the end.
Coming to the supporting characters, they felt a bit blurry to me. Sure, each of them had their moments, but none of them really contributed to the main leads’ storyline, whether it was romantic or personal.
Lee Ji Ran and her boyfriend were just silly and I don't know if they were supposed to be the second couple but I am 100% sure the story will remain the same without both of them, that is the impact they had.
Honestly, you could branch out a whole different drama for each character: the gossip ladies who decide what to eat the moment they step into the gym, the young gym trainer with family issues or the female trainer who suddenly realizes she can be more. Individually, all these arcs are equally interesting, but the cohesiveness was kind of a mess. The way new arcs were introduced felt random like their relevance and timing just didn’t land right.
Acting-wise, I came from Weak Hero class 2 to watch Mr. Jun Young but was a little disappointed with the overall experience. He wasn't bad at all but the writing didn't support or uplift his acting. It was nothing I would run home about. Jung Eun Ji as Lee Mi Ran did a decent job based on what was given to her. Supporting characters stole the show for me in terms of acting.
Also, whoever designed the intro song should take a voluntary pay cut because it was just bizarre and if someone picks up the drama seeing the opening credits, I am sure they will decide otherwise.
Overall, despite my heavy-handed critique, this is a fun drama if you are in the mood for some over-the-top comedy. But if are expecting romance, please be very patient and do not be afraid of disappointment. I would personally not recommend this.
Also food for thought : Does it not rain in SK ? Will machines not malfunction if they are kept in open ??!!!

1It was never about getting back at them but more about getting yourself back!
This drama didn't scream for my attention, but it somehow had me hooked from start to finish. It follows the journey of Kanbe Misa, who has always been that person in the background who is a little too kind, selfless and trusts people too easily and ended up paying the price. But when life gave Misa the lemons, she knew how to make lemonade. The story starts as a second-chance revenge plan becomes something a lot deeper for her. It was about prioritising herself and finally choosing to live for her own sake.This version doesn't lean into over-the-top twists or too much melodrama compared to the OG version and that is what worked for me. It had the classic Japanese introspective touch where the focus was on Misa, her fears and how she navigated and reclaimed her new life with hesitation and silent strength.
Coming to romance, it is definitely underplayed here but that doesn't take away how awkwardly sweet Misa and Suzuki were together. They were not intense or passion-filled but I felt it was the kind of chemistry that builds slowly, and it felt refreshing to me.
Considering they had 10 episodes to cover 16 episodes of content, it was excusable for me and didn't hinder my enjoyment but I wouldn't have minded a few more soft, emotional moments between them.
Moving to Antagonists, Reina really shone here. She was deceiving, unnervingly real and manipulative. All her actions stemmed from very humane emotions, from jealousy to entitlement to be treated better to insecurity. What I liked was that she didn't just exist to ruin things but she genuinely believed she was owed something and that entitlement colored everything red. She was the total opposite of Misa. Misa thrived on healing and growth, Reina on control and resentment throughout her life.
In the initial episodes, I felt they toned down her character compared to OG, but she brought the flair back.
As for SML Tomoya, he was hit and miss for me. Most of the time, he felt very airheaded and his presence was more of an unintentional comedic relief though there was nothing funny about him.
The antagonists and their issues were humane and while the drama acknowledged that, it didn't try to gloss it over with redemption! Sometimes when you don't change your ways, you learn the hard lesson of what goes around comes around!
Another thing that worked for me was the visuals. The cinematography and the colour palette of the whole drama were so pretty. Everything felt so calm and pleasing to the eyes. All the wide nature shots were beautiful. And of course, there was an umbrella moment. Lol, we needed that Korean touch.
Acting across the board was solid. Koshiba Fuka as Misa carried the drama effortlessly. She didn't overreact but every little shift in emotions was translated on the screen. Satoh Takeru as Wataru Suzuki was charming. We need him in more of those rich CEO roles in suits and those glasses. Though at times he felt a bit stiff, I felt that was how his character was. The rest of the supporting cast also brought good things to the table.
Overall, this was a really good and engaging watch. The pacing felt intentional, and the message of putting oneself forward and healing came through nicely. Though romance isn't the main focus here, it would definitely give you butterflies or two.
I would 100% recommend it.

It has very refreshing comedy and bromance. The acting was amazinng and Nam gong was absolutely hilarious through out. I still don't get how the fck did SWDBS got that many viewers and rating when it was **** compared to this.

An Excellent drama with strong writing direction, and acting hopefully season 2 will follow. 9/10.
Where to start? Fine, let's begin from the beginning.By seeing the cast, you might feel that the drama will be the usual idol period drama with tons of martial arts. But no, this is a unique, dark, and emotional story of two assassins from Wufeng who secretly go to another sect, Gong, to accomplish a secret mission. But not everything is Calm in Gong's residence. Brothers hate each other; the father does not even like his own son. Son wants to know the reason behind his mother's death, among many other things. But this is where you go wrong. Everything is done for a reason. By the end of this drama, you will understand why this happened in the first place. The characters are beautifully presented, and the relationships between them are shown so well that you can understand the characters very well.
An Excellent drama with strong writing, direction, and acting... Production-wise, all is well, and hopefully season 2 will follow. According to the last episode, it was clearly shown that the creators wanted to produce a sequel or franchise. 9/10... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

what i liked-decent cast
-some good running gags
-cute concept (switching bodies with the person you have a crush on)

-poor execution
-15 minute format made these 7 episodes feel like a short movie.
-a bit too slapstick
-this isn't a spoiler but really gross use of blackface for in episode 5 (most of asia didn't get the memo that skincolor isn't a costume...but hell, most people in the west didn't either).

eh how bored are you? if you're that bored, just read the manga online instead. there are some good gags here but many other dramas do the body swap love story a bit better (secret garden). you're not missing much by skipping this.
i'd like to see what would have happened with a longer format but, you go to war with the weapons you got, i guess.

The first short story ended, before it even started. It's hard to have any meaningful opinion or thoughts about it with how short it was. Sure, there was one nice semi-gory picture created closer to the end, but overall - too short to create the atmosphere or to deliver the scares.
The Woman in Red ★☆☆☆☆
Revengeful ghost and vague insinuation on why she even mad. What stood out in this short? Bad acting and bad special effects. When the ghost started to do Spiderman impersonation, I lost it.
Tooth Worms ★★★☆☆
I knew this is going to be a ride the moment they opened it with the perspective of being in someone's mouth as they get check up by hot dentist Hoya. I'm not sure how scary it was, but it did make me feel extremely uncomfortable. Acting wise - Hoya delivered!

This story was more of what I was expecting to see when I started Seoul Ghost Stories - typical creepy pasta type of a deal, with decent effects for a short like that. the acting was also fine.

This is scary because of the more realistic scenario. I do wish they were a little bit more clear if there was any supernatural involvement, but nevertheless, this still gave me the most creeps. A bit exaggerated, but something that could potentially happen.

When horror stories deliver shower abs scenes - I cannot force myself to complain. Sadly, that was the best part of the story.

When you are hunted by the horror snapshot filters, even outside of the app. That's the story. Yes, it's as boring as it sounds.
The Mannequin ★★★☆☆
This was a win. They were able to built quite a tension in just few minutes and the design for the mannequin was extremely good. It just looked so weird and uncanny - and the movement. I would pee my pants if I ever come across something like that.
Escape Games ★★★☆☆
I'm impressed with Alexa's acting (funny how her Korean line delivery was more natural than the English one) and the props aka the bodies. Good stuff. Probably best practical and special effects from all the stories. The concept was not exactly unique - Escape Room meets occultists. Still, a fun watch. Better than majority of the stories in this compilation.
The starts next to the title will tell you how good they are compared to each other, rather than overall quality.
