Closure.

I watched both Season 1 and Season 2 and so, I had to watch Season 3. It was, perhaps, not as entertaining as the first two but I felt that it provided closure to this drama. Essentially, all three seasons make one whole drama and so, I’d recommend watching all three. :)

What I liked:
- Ending provided closure for the two leads.
- Happy ending for most characters.
- Ending showed the sadness of the FL as she had to be separated from the ML whom she loved deeply.
- Ending showed that true love will overcome obstacles and that true love doesn’t run smooth (?). ML’s memories to do with FL were erased as FL had to go back to the real world (and exit the reel world). But, he still had lingering memories of her. Eventually, he remembered…
- The leads loved each other truly.
- FL and ML still met in the real world.

What I didn’t like so much:
- Slightly repetitive in that there were quite a bit of recaps. (But understandable.)
- Ending was a bit slower and less fun / entertaining than the first two seasons. (But understandable too.)
- The ML had to die/ would die as long as she remained in the reel world.

Overall, still a nice enough watch and I liked the closure provided.

A cinematic masterpiece

NO-SPOILER REVIEW

This coming of age story is more like a high-quality movie divided into multiple parts rather than a typical drama series with many episodes. The story, acting, and cinematography are all outstanding.

Pros
- Simply unmatched cinematography compared to any other series in this genre, and better than many Hollywood movies.
- The casting, acting, and chemistry between the leads is superb.
- Skillful storytelling techniques that enable deep messages and feelings to be conveyed without the need for explicit vocalization or overt flashbacks.
- The story touches on powerful human truths in a very natural and organic way.

Cons
- As this is a coming of age story you need to think about the characters and their motivations from their point of view. For those of us who are far past this stage of our lives, their motivations and actions can seem frustrating at times.
- There are a few moments where the acting is so intense that it can be a bit unexpected or jarring.

Overall
- A simply stunning series that has set a new bar for the genre.

Usually Filipino dramas are so long and sometimes over-dramatic but this one is a very realistic one. The story is long and has lots of twists and turns but it shows reality. If you love romance that will make you feel 'kilig' this is the right one for you. It also have that dramatic side and it made me cry few times throughout the drama because it will really make you feel what the characters are going through. It gave a new light of what Filipino OFWs have to go through while working overseas while still having that romance in the story.

The casts are well-picked. Aside the fact that I love JaDine, this drama is actually well acted by the real life celebrity couple. The second lead Paolo Avelino also portrayed the role very well that made the story successful.

The theme songs that were used intensifies the emotions of the drama. Some can make you feel the 'kilig moments', touching moments, crying moments and all the other emotions that are incorporated within the drama.

After you're watching the drama, you'd still want for more. I almost wanted to watch it again soon after finishing all the episodes. This drama overall is awesome.

I present to you one of the wonderful actors in Japan Matsuda Shota. I and some couple of friends were waiting for this movie to be subbed since it's release last year. It got subbed sometime this year.

Here, Shota plays the role of a loner, he was quite cruel and brutal also. This movie has no plot, there's no particular substance to this movie. It just tells a story about the kind of world Gu (Shota's character) is living in and it shows a some particular events that happened to him. I'm going to quote what a friend told me hehehe ''Don't expect a happy ending''. That's what she actually told me hehehe.

Gu is surrounded by gangsters and he's a gangster himself, he doesn't just belong to any gang. In his world, there's the issue of doping, pimping of teenage girls, unnecessary fighting and all.

Some minutes into watching HR, I gave up on the happy ending thing..... then towards the middle, I actually had some kind of hope....... but that got blown away before the end of the movie.
I didn't feel an ounce of pity for the casts in HR, including Gu himself, like the saying goes.... How you lay your bed, that's how you lay on it.

So, if you're a fan of Shota and you want to see how dynamic and versatile he can be, then you definitely need to give HR a shot. For those looking for something light...... this isn't something light, but you can also give it a try.

Loved it more than i thought i would

I’ll start off by saying i’m not a big fan of body swap and i was one of those who was concerned when this was announced as EM’s next project. But surprisingly i loved the show more than i expected i would.

STORY : My main concern was Win being in Lins body would limit the interaction and screentime between the 2 leads, hence why other people were afraid if this was a real BL. But they were able to make it work since majority of the time was just the 2 of them travelling and since Korn knows its Win, he and us viewers sees Win too (i’d say 90% it was still EarthMix/KornWin interacting). Lin mostly just appears when theres other people or if the scene required Lins body. I wasn’t too concern about Korn being confused of who he really likes because it was pretty obvious from the start. This was a story of them having to be brave and confront their feelings for each other because both of them are scared of losing whatever they have (friendship or more) if they confess.

As i’ve said before i would’ve preferred they didn’t add the kiss scene in episode 8 but watching the last 2 episode made sense. It was a built up for the arranged marriage plot which i thought they removed from the book. I suppose it was a creative/change decision by the team behind this. I think alot of people hating on the kiss and the marriage was those who read the book and was comparing it to the source material. But if you watch this as a standalone piece without any background from the book it all made sense, the story and flow. That’s why i’m not being so hard on this, as someone who have a brief idea on the source material. I have some things i would’ve preferred they didn’t change but i’m rating this based on the show alone and not in comparison with the source material. Although i do feel episode 9 was a bit draggy and slow but episode 10 redeemed it for me.

PRODUCTION: I’ve some issues with some color grading and sound choices for some scenes but nothing too major. This show had the rare chance of fixing some minor problems before the youtube premiere so i hope they take it.

ACTING : is on point from all three main leads, i felt bad for Mix in the beginning having to shout and being angry all the time and i agree that its the directors job to see if how he portrays the character is right. Mix wasn’t cringey or bad acting like a loud asshole, that was what they and his character asked of him and he was just doing his job. You can see he can act angry/sad without shouting in episode 9, something i was glad they changed from the trailer because he was shouting at that scene too originally. The switching between Mix and Jan was another highlight, both were good, acting as themselves or the other. Earth was good as well, balancing the sweet, patient but sometimes already at his limits Korn. White had so little screentime but still very likeable, he looks so cute with his hair btw.

MUSIC: I was already getting LSS from the OST played in the trailer so i know i’ll love it, although only 1 was just released i’m already playing it on repeat. The lyrics were specifically written for their characters so it made it more melancholic and gave you more feels. Can’t wait for the other OST to drop. I also love the song Just Being Friendly played in 1 scene, it was definitely an earworm.

REWATCH : I’ve already rewatched some scenes and i’ll definitely watch it again at GMMTV YOutube premiere on sunday.

OVERALL : I definitely recommend this for people who wants a lighthearted with a bit of heavy drama towards the end. Give it atleast 3-4 episode watch so you can decide if this might be it for you or not. This is definitely not perfect and has its flaws but it worked for me and it might work for you too.

starts amazing, the last third is debatable

The beginning was everything I could ever want. The characters were amazing as well as the story. It started a little slow which worked out perfectly as the relationship between the main characters evolved. At that point I was sure that I would give this film 10/10 stars would I ever write a review.
Sadly the story made a big turn after around 2/3 of the film. To avoid spoilers I will not go into it, but personally, I don't think this turn off events did anything good for the film.
I still think it is an amazing film, but the last 1/3 confused me a lot and seemed unnatural and unfitting.
still worth watching.

First time reviewing, but I just HAD to because of Lee Yoo Ri. OMG Her acting is phenomenal, she is so ridiculously beautiful and so talented. My god I’m so impressed, she went all out for her character. Literally my favorite actress. I can’t even. Can I just be her? I’m literally planning to bingewatch everything she’s ever been in. Honestly, I'm so impressed, its hard to put into words because even in some of my favorite dramas no matter how strong the female leads start out they tend to fall in to the helpless victim trope from which the knight in shining armor appears to either throw fists or money at problems and rescue the helpless female. Which I get, like sometimes thats awesome to watch, but srsly we're in the 21st century. I loved the relationship between Jung Hwan and Hye Yeong, because he was there to support her. She's self sufficient and she can fight her own battles, and he was there to cook her comfort food. Can we see this more often please? Because thats real love right there. Just amazing job on creating strong/positive female role models that kick major butt. This applies to all the actresses in the Byun clan.

Which takes me to the next point; applause all around, I loved the relationships between the siblings. I honestly went into this drama because I wanted to stare and Lee Joon's face, I did not expect to fall in love with everyones storylines. Literally, the first episode hooked me. I got extremely invested in everyones happiness. I always go in for the romance but srsly the family dynamic is what stuck out to me. So many little moments that just made me smile.

I very rarely rewatch dramas, but this is one of the few that I definitely will because it makes my heart happy.

INNER PEACE.

I like all the people in this variety show. They are fun to watch and I came across some games that I really want to play sometime. However, the plot is rather silly. They are solving "murders" and they are so bumbling that it's quiet cringy to watch sometimes. That being said though, since you knew from the beginning that it wasn't supposed to be real in any way, that makes it possible to overlook.

I respect the actors/idols in this so much for making scenes that had to feel embarrassing at times, look like a lot of fun and they made you want to join in with them. Their reactions are always so awesome even when you just KNOW they are not surprised at all at what they are seeing.

I'm sure that I'll watch season 2...especially if the same cast (or most of it) is a part of the second season.

Fair enough

Usually i prefer lots of kiss scene and few sex scene when comes to any series. This bl drama is simple and sweet but not according to my expectations. A guy name choi came suddenly as competitors for yoon do gun. At first it says he is very famous and abroad garduate topper students but u will know slowly, they starts with head up and end ups getting together. At first it was great in the middle suddenly get into on thing their romance. I wish u they could have shown little more about their fight and love.

After some point story again came back to the track, deceit, love, romance you can see everything. This simple love story gives u hopes of love. If u reality then obviously bl drama gives of some hop but when reality hits u, u feel lik these drama are just,it rarely happens that next competitor is also gay and u feel in love with that guy. But somehow u want to feel this type of romance. Thanks to maker who created simple yet beautiful love story.

Interms of story i will say they are good except slightly and sudden change in the middle, foe suddenly changed to curious, otherswise overall i can say good story in korean bl series after few misses. Interms of acting they are good enough. Handsome boys with emotion and good enough acting makes u feel they are real. Especially i like the emotion display of yoon do gun, you can read his eyes what he is feeling, i can see his acting talent. Interms of music, direction, cinematography everything is good.

I can say overall this drama is worthy to watch. This simple yet sweet drama will give some hopes of love from around you. Binge worthy

I saw this drama and didn't really think much of it and started watching it to pass the time. BOY WAS I WRONG! This drama had everything you need for a drama from the emotional acting of Yang Se Jong and Set Hyun Jin to the dramatic Kim Jae Wook. The comedy involved was also perfect and especially Ji Il Ho and Kim Cho Hee - as you watch it, you will fall in love with the characters

The storyline did drag out in a few episodes but generally, you wanted to keep on watching because of the character development and romantic storyline. There are moments where you would clench your chest and teeth because something you didn't want to happen just did but that's what made this drama watchable. It found the correct balance of melodrama and normalcy as there wasn't too many dramatic moments which would leave you cringing.

If you want something to cry and laugh too then I would highly recommend but don't get too attached like I did because now I literally cry every time I hear the OST or Ailee's song.

Not your average Rom-Com!

Takeuchi Yuko plays "Aoi Yoshiko(Jinko/Gene)" a woman scorned by her ex in the most inventive fashion and the drama is the sometimes hilarious, sometimes serious journey of growth she has to walk as he suddenly reappears in her life again.

As one commenter mentioned this is a more "mature" rom-com than the norm. While still sharing out it's own funny, it questions a lot about life, love and occupation. The way it goes about doing that (tying it in with the main characters research on bugs and the like) is a refreshing take on occupational Rom-Com. Directing is about average, but the writing is gold.

My only annoyance was that they didn't end with an episode 12.

Let me preference this by saying that I love Ji Chang Wook and through this drama I really came to love a lot of the actors and characters. The cast was the most redeeming quality of this drama. On that note as others have mentioned this drama fails on many points. Out of all the sageuk I have watched thus far this one was my least favorite.

The beginning is strong. I loved the story of Dong Soo and Woon. Another reviewer said "epic bromance" and I could not agree more. Even the young actors who played both of them were pretty amazing. I had a few issues primarily with Dong Soo's- deformity and the stupid suit of bamboo that didn't look like it could possibly do anything but those concerns were minimal.

Towards the middle of the drama however everything just comes to a stupid halt. Nothing happens that progressed the story. Ji Sun's character who they act like is integral really becomes a useless figure and I was not a fan of her acting. I think that if she had died I would have been happier with the story line. In the middle all I learned was useless things about ginseng that in no way really helped build the story. Kanzo could have been a really cool character but he too seemed to be so poorly written that even his parts were in no way beneficial.

Towards the end it became really hard to even drag my self to the end. At the end there is a few things that of course are integral and all I can say is that even though I knew he would have to die, I was still balling during his death scene. That said I also had wanted to slap him for his continued "misunderstandings" I mean WHY DID HE NOT TELL THEM THE TRUTH!!! On that note WHAT THE HELL CHO RIP???

Then at the end the "pairing" everyone up was a little unnecessary and didn't really make me feel like anything had been resolved. I was overall just disappointed in the way things started to play out after episode 14. For once it might have actually been better if it had ended somewhere around episode 22.

Overall the acting was good and I liked the characters, but they were poorly written and the writing just got worse as the show dragged on which is why I give it a 7.5

Spare the rod, Spoil the child.

Non Spoilery things about the drama overview are the fact the drama is about keeping secrets from your significant other. We as the audience are let in on the BIG secret in the beginning of the first episode. But he is not the only one with a secret.

There were so many hands trying to expose his secret it was hard to exactly suss out who the culprit was until the last few episodes. It was done in such a way that the twist did not seem heavy handed or pushed by the writer.

The acting has been panned in few of the other reviews for this title and I would like to express my take on it. The actress who plays the his mother (Suzuki Honami) is excellent at playing the dead pan look, the fake smile when in fact there are other intentions behind that mask. By making the son (Fukushi Sota) mimic the same mannerism seems very natural to me. This is paralleled in the Father-son relationship in the Tachibana household.

As far as overacting in the Reveal episodes--I see Saku as a child doing things to bully the other sibling. in that light it did not seem out of place. (this is not a spoiler unless you have seen the drama in it's entirety).

Overall I would rate this an 8.5 because the forgiveness and One True Love were shoe horned in pretty heavily.

A Nice Refresher

This is one of my favorites of this year. Honestly, I started watching after reading the synopsis and didn't bother even to check who the actors were. (ended up checking 5 times before realizing that wei daxun was the male lead LOL)I've been trying to look for a drama that could keep me hooked at all times, and this was one of them. I remember seeing the poster on iqiyi a couple of months ago and when it finally aired, I was somewhat skeptical since I didn't want to start another drama and then quit halfway through. I can proudly say I finished this drama within 4 days. I originally expected a lot more romance in this drama based on the tags but was somewhat slightly disappointed. The leads went through quite an adventure but don't worry we have two lovely side couples. However, the screenwriters did a fantastic job at portraying how Tang Jiayu would be since she is a mature woman who has faced a lot of challenges in her life so she won't be so easy to move.

Some pros:
1. the characters all had really nice characters, even if you're supposed to hate someone you don't really really hate them because their story gets told later and why they act the way they are
2. happy ending - not the type everyone expects but this story does end happily
3. almost no shots or close up shots of the surgical process - I know some people can't stand all the blood and everything so this is a bonus (I personally don't mind)
4. the music usage is really beautiful - blessed to have zhou shen's voice as the opening song
5. semi-realistic portrayal of relationships - enemies to friends and respect earned and given

some cons:
1. ending - I'm sure everyone would agree after watching that we were robbed of tang jiayu and ye yiming's screentime
2. the most important/sad characters dying - after like a couple deaths, I'm always on the edge of my seat in fear that someone important will die next

the middle:
1. 36 episodes - i don't find this too lengthy but i don't find it too short either seems about right for the typical cdrama

so that's all i gotta say for this drama, overall everything comes down to personal taste but i would recommend this drama if you're really interested in medical dramas, would not recommend if you're looking for a romance tho. anyways i hope you enjoy this drama like i did and have an amazing day ~

Much better then the en of love version

I was skeptical at first because of watching En of love which was seemingly could have all been better if they had more scree time
I was scared that this was going to do what love by chance 2 did and making us see almost the exact some thing again for the first few episodes but surprisingly it didn’t the way they continued to be the same from En of love: Mechanics but in a much more elaborate way but sticking to the main plot point with some extra fillers made it feel like I was watching a whole different story so if you enjoyed the idea of En of love: Mechanics this is definitely worth a watch. I’m glad they stuck with 10ep. I think they could’ve left the parents for a second season and change the way BLs are made but I understand how budgeting and how it is very hard to get a second season for a BL is. I am still very satisfied with this BL and hope to see more like this from Wetv
