Acceptance of difference and problems caused by those quick to judge
Cho-san has both learning disabilities and autism, needs his routines and works in a supported facility. He also has a great mum and difficult neighbours.Every bit of this rings true with my experience working and volunteering with people with learning disabilities, including the complicated decisions aging parents make to ensure their sons and daughters are settled.
Please don't watch this to be heart-warmed. Please watch this to better understand a bit more of the extra difficulties so unnecessarily created by those who see difference and look for reasons to condemn.
(The tags currently include mental illness. There is no mental illness depicted in this film. The distress felt by Cho-san and some of the housemates when confronted by loud noises, angry neighbours or disruption to their routine is part of their learning disabilities, not mental illness. These are distinct things.)

I hated this drama, Vin Zhang is the only good actor in this drama that why I sticked to the end
I like Esther Yu acting better in Moonlight than in this drama. The character she played in this drama was annoying, and the nasal voice didnβt help much. The storyline is so stupid and ridiculous. The drama could have been better if it was 20-24 episodes; instead, it dragged to 30+ episodes. It was too painful to watch, and I hated Esther Yu's character in this drama. In addition, the script is bad, and the 2nd CP for more screen time than the main CP. 2nd CP's acting is horrible, especially the 2nd ML. Overall, I am disgusted at this drama. It was a waste of my time.
I am giving it a 4.0 rating.

It was lovely and quirky and a much deeper story than the first episode led me to believe. I'm so glad I stayed with it. It's hard to discuss this drama without spoilers, but I'll just say that I cried at the end because they included something I have never seen in a Korean drama before. When you get to that point, you will know, I promise. That representation is so beautiful, because everyone deserves love. You don't have to earn it by young or beautiful or fit.
There were so many messages in this drama, and most of them were on point and fairly nuanced, especially for a romantic comedic fantasy. I am so glad I watched this.
I can't say enough good things about the stars: Shin Sung Rok, Go Ye Won, and Ha Jae Sook. They were magnificent. Sidenote: PLEASE give me more Shin Sung Rok as the romantic lead. His character was adorable and quirky and has landed in my top fave K-drama heroes of all time. I would also like to see Ha Jae Sook as the lead in more dramas, not just as the "before' woman, but someone confident and fabulous.
If you want a funny, heartwarming, and unexpectedly profound watch, give this one a try. I absolutely loved it. The episodes only got better and better and it was SO PURE.

DON'T MISS THIS ONE !!
OMG!!! I LOVED THIS SOO MUCH!!!ππ₯°ππ€π€ and, (to me) what an original idea?!!π€ππIts not too angsty, which for me, is a huge plus+++ The fl was written reasonably normal.π She's got intelligence, and ability to work out most of her problems, except for physical altercations, but she's no push over either! ππ
The leads have amazing chemistry ππ€and they both are gorgeous!
To me___THIS IS SOO DAM GOOD! (in spite of the auto generated subs) π This should have been a full drama, instead of a web series! This was not perfect, but, for a
web drama, well done, and on par with most full 24 ep dramas! AND SOO MUCH FUN! I almost didn't watch this and I am soo glad I did!ππππππππππππππππ€π€π€ππππππππππ
ps..
I really hope they remake this into a full drama with original cast and proper subs for every language!!π

The Final Siege
Based on the 2007 novel, Nobou no Shiro, by Ryo Wada who also wrote the screenplay for the film. Co-directed by Isshin Inudo and Shinji Higuchi (Shin Godzilla). The theme song, Zureteruhougai, is performed by Elephant Kashimashi. Initially slated for a 2011 release, a one-year delay ensued due to the devastation caused by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disaster. This film eventually garnered multiple awards at the 36th Japan Academy Prize. This film feels very much like a taiga that has been condensed into a 2-hour grand production. Epic in every sense and meticulous in every detail. In spite of the slightly comedic undertone particularly pertaining to the characterization of the main lead, the narrative is quite dramatic and somewhat grim, for the most part.
What I Liked
- Production values: This is an expensively assembled film and it truly shows. The sets, filming locales, costumes, cast and sheer numbers of the extras are top notch.
- Technical execution: Cinematic visuals with attention to detail in the production design, costuming, art direction, cinematography, fight choreography in massive battle scenes and the list goes on.
- VFX component: This film utilises no small amount of visual effects, not only with CGI but also the use of "matte painting" that combines live-action with composite images of painted landscapes as the background. The end result is stunning.
- The amazing story which is a heavily romanticized account of the Sengoku period in the era of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's unification of feudal Japan.
- The performances of the cast, particularly the main lead, Nomura Mansai who won the outstanding actor award for his portrayal of Narita Nagachika. He is absolutely phenomenal where he draws upon his comedic roots from Kyogen stage acting to breathe life into this excellently written characterization.
Final Thoughts
A visual spectacle, riveting story and compelling acting. The Floating Castle is truly deserving of the numerous film honours awarded. Whether as a retelling of history or pure entertainment, the 140 minutes running time flew by easily and has been well worth the watch indeed.

The acting was really great and the cast fit their characters well. The only thing was I really hated the female character. She was too annoying and at times stalkerish to the point of feeling embarrased for her. The english teacher also stood out like a sore thumb just because her korean accent was so bad. I really liked the supporting cast they were funny.
Pretty much I watched this movie for Jang Hyuk=D

This was one of those drama's that I finished in three days because It was hard to tear myself away from the computer.

I spent the first half of the series suspecting everyone....lol even when they made it pretty clear.
This is an interesting series that shows its hand way before the last act, and you get into the interesting part of what do you do when you know who the killer is.
The drama didn't hold back on the suspense, thrilling scenes, and the looks that definitely gave me the heebie jeebies. However as afraid of horror movies, and the drawn out thriller grabs I loved every minute of this drama.
I love that while it did have romance, that wasn't what drove the vehicle of this drama. It was all about the action, and finding the clues to put everything together.
What good was it if you know who it is, if you don't know how it ended up this way. The characters all play their parts well, especially the villains of each case that come the teams way. The acting was spectacular, and more than once will you be horrified, shocked, and just a little bit teary.
The main characters are a decent match, and while I think Seo in Guk's character was a little too stiff, there are a lot of things to justify that. Jang Nara is a strong female lead, and a complete 360 from her baby faced beauty character, which made me sight in loud and obvious relief.
The story progresses steadily, and there are almost no loose ends, however I have to say the questions you are left with are ones that obviously the director and producers never plan on answering.
If you want the genius, teamwork, crime, suspense, and thrill this is the series to watch. I would say romance, but since it's more back burner I lean to the main themes.
This is a must watch....during the day :)

Now to the disaster part: Well basically the story and the writing were horrifyingly bad ... this was supposed to be a crime drama, but it was as if a child (not even a teen) was trying to write a crime story and was hoping to put twists to the plot but failed miserably each time. The end result was me rolling my eyes and shouting 10 different ways that the whole plot could have been solved. on top of that it was 16 episodes ... like really why this long ...
obviously when the story lacks, the characters have to be weak as well. Hence the detectives were extremely unqualified and simply put very very very bad at their jobs. They were dreadful ...
There was no character development, no nothing, the story was just bland and flat. The only redeeming feature was the main couple's relationship, they were very cute together, bringing light fluffy feelings to the drama. Yeah, it's hilarious how through all this horribleness I still managed to enjoy myself! lol! I guess if you're in mood for some cute adorable love story and not caring much about anything other than couple's relationship give this a try :D !!
As for me, I would love to watch Park Yoo Chun in something well written next! :D

Disappointing
The plot is nothing original, same old tropes. At the end of the series I feel like nothing really happened. Can you make a whole series about just one issue and miscommunication? They did and it was not worth it.
I like a series that focus on the main couple only, but then the plot must be more developed than this.
The number of times a conversation was interrupted by a phone call and the amount of evesdropping are ridiculous.
I watched it because of all the hype on social media but now I don't get where it came from.

they saved the best our skyy 2 episode till last
this episode.. i don't even know where to start, it had my crying multiple times but with tears of happiness, it was everything i needed and more.we got to see many more sweet earthmix moments we did not get to see in the bad buddy crossover which i am so grateful for. whilst i did not wait as long for this as other atots viewers did, as i did not see atots for the first time until last year, it was still a long time to wait to see tian and phupha again and it was definitely worth the wait to see their happy moments together.
if you have seen the cross over episodes with bad buddy you will see this one has a bigger focus on their sweet and loving moments, which i suppose is obvious and bound to happen since this was now their 'own' episode but it was not expecting that much sweetness given how phupha was acting in those cross over episodes.. it made me so emotional :')
this episode has some of the most beautiful moments out of all 16 in the our skyy 2 series, and is potentially my favourite out of them all, i urge you to watch this if you like a tale of thousand stars, earthmix truly deserve all the love and support for this episode, as well as the cross over episodes (however i much prefer this one..)
the ost they sung for this is great, and sung beautifully by them both as always!

On the surface, this drama seems like your average slice-of-life/romance/comedy drama, but beneath all that, AoY has a more serious tone and many valuable lessons to be learned. This drama is only 12 episodes long, but each episode is packed with laughs and tears. Another thing that I loved about the plot structure is that each girl has a dark secret, but writer-nim doesn't expose them all at once. It keeps us as viewers guessing and speculating.
The entire cast is amazing. This was my first time watching many of the actors, but they've already blown me away. I'll be definitely following their upcoming works. In some dramas, the main character's 'feeling' or aura changes so much that you wonder if it's the same character, but that doesn't happen in this drama. The characters are very consistent; we get to watch them go through challenges and grow. I love how the girls communicate and comfort one another. Overall, Age of Youth is a wonderful drama with great lessons :-)
The final verdict: unique and unpredictable. easy to binge xD

And it started so well . . .
It was absolutely gorgeous to look at. Beautiful costumes, magnificent cimematography. And terrific actors, many veterans doing what they do best. But the story? It was great at first, as Yulou wins Shaochun, and she slowly unfreezes, then has to make her way into the Sun family.
I thought this was going to be similar to Minglan, a comedy of manners, mostly focused on the women of various levels as well as the central romance. For the first half or three fifths, we got that. But then the story began sliding into more and more unlikely melodrama, beginning with the horrible Tao Yao bouncing back for yet a third invasion of the Sun family, so we had to endure the exact same emotional trauma as the first two times.
(I have to admit, I loved seeing the smackdown when the wife of First Brother went after her! And the second defeat was pretty good, too. But that third one not only hit exactly the same emotional beats, it seriously weakened the characters of both First Brother and the wife).
After that, it seems the writers did not know how to depict Yulou and Shaochun as a couple working together and sharing their problems, because we kept getting bigger and more unlikely situations piled on for Shaochun to solve alone, shutting her husband out. The situations in which Shaochun is the only one who can fix it get more and more perfunctory, as she acts as a lone agent.
Despite all their words about trust and sharing, we never saw them actually trusting and sharing when problems come up, so that his part was reduced to political infighting or being a no-show. Until the total mess of an ending, in which the viewer is dragged through unnecessary suffering and angst just to find out, in the last fifteen minutes, hey, it was fake all along! Everybody's okay, ha ha! The villain is dragged off, and we don't even see his end. Just a pointless long-ass search on Shaochun's part. And when we finally catch up with Yulou, it's like we're back to square one. I hoped the last line would be "I've given you a son," or even "Let me give you a son," as all the way through it was clear he wanted a family. No, he gets to go home and start over, only everyone is older and more tired. Whoopie.
The reason Minglan worked for seventy episodes is because we see the couple grow and change, until they are working together as a dynamic team. Why couldn't we see a similar payoff here?
I found the Dizhe/Second Brother thread absorbing and tragic and complex--I wished it would have taken over the storyline, and let Yulou and Shaochun sink into obscurity since their story was essentially done at the halfway point.

Smiling all day because of them <3
Firstly, this drama genre is clichΓ© not something new but I really love itt! The scene is not too over (except that scene with goose) and the balance between his work and love life is perfect! From the description you can already know the biggest conflict in this drama and nothing more to worry. Just bare it for a few mins every episode. Her cure is Shi Yi but she spent more time with Shi Meng, I really love that plot! All this thanks to clever Mrs. Ling and her helper Hao Ying Jun.
One of the things I LOVE is they didn't make Wei Lin to suddenly like the fl. I'm sick of that kind of plot already so I'm really happy when the writer make him as her love teacher and the biggest supporter of Shi meng and Fang yan ><
Fang yan bestfriend's Yao Yao is kinda annoying some times and make the fl confused but when I think back she is really realistic. Not overprotective just a concern friends. Her love life is kinda cute too ><
This drama have some flaws for example that incompetent Dr. Chui, that popular Shi yi who never get exposed/noticed outside by fans (this is weird for idol in cdrama) but everything else is bearable. The conflict solve quickly and 24 episode is perfect for this drama if not it will be draggy for sure.
The couple is the cutest, lot of kisses and it so natural. She is not that hard/annoying fl so it's really easy to like her. Although I think she is dumb sometimes but it's not too over. She is open towards him, no misunderstanding at all. Shi Meng is actually such a soft male lead. Like I love how he try to cook for her sometimes (yea ik he's bad at it) but we can see his improvement! That's why if you want a fluffy, light and funny drama this is for you!

Not Confused but Disoriented
I read the comments to get an overall audience view of this series, in which most of them were negative, but I was still willing to give this a chance. I need to start paying more attention to these opinions, cause I really sat through 5 episodes of complete garbage (and I say that in the nicest way possible.) Deal Lover had to be some of the crappiest acting I've seen in a while, with an unlikeable Het couple and straight-as-all-get-out BL pairing.Let's Dive In.
I was actually pretty intrigued by the synopsis. I didn't hate the first episode; sure, it carried on longer than need be, the first 15 minutes are boring as hell, and the acting is already atrocious, but I looked past all that so that I could really dip my toes into the characters, and I actually wasn't too disappointed. Except it continues to get worst with every episode.
First is the plot. So different, something I was enthralled about before even watching, but sadly the execution is sad -- embarrassing even. I wanted them to do more with the grandma than they did. They kind of just made her look like a crazy old woman than a person dealing with Alzheimer's. They should've dove deeper into this disease and put parts of its attributed into the series. The grandma was passed as just goofy and forgetful, and it really did hurt. More with the plot, they had such a unique concept and didn't use it like they were supposed to. So boring, I mean EXTREMELY boring. I don't care to watch Milan vlog, or do anything, to be honest. Most of the het shit is them feuding and then not. I started skipping their parts mid-third episode. (They got married.... after 7 days...??)
That's another poor decision of this series. You can't take any of these relationships seriously cause they've all started in the span of three days, two nights. No one's relationship was nice to watch knowing that they just met only a few hours before. Both couples are rushed fast as hell and try to seem so in love, but it passes as delusional and lowkey obsessive.
Onto the BL pairing. I really have no words. Both actors look catastrophically uncomfortable around each other and like they were held at gunpoint to be in this. They had a good amount of BL tropes, but all were very poorly acted, and again, cringe as hell. I'll give props to Tam's actor though -- his acting wasn't all that great, but it was inferior compared to Tokyo's who looked like his dad dragged him there. So bad. So bad that I don't know how anyone else wasn't casted. Their relationship was rushed, all their lines were so bland and boring, and their acting was just the rotten cherry on top. The only part I found seemingly cute was when Tam grabbed Tokyo's face and THAT'S IT.
Production is last cause I have to scream about this. I've seen lower-quality budget films do 100x better than whatever the freak this was. Yes, this series was also low-budget, but that does not give this series an excuse for the poor editing and terrible amount of continuity errors. this series is really something else. Usually, production is decent, but with this series, it felt lower than mediocre. Sad, just really sad.
Some other things that might just be me: did anyone feel like they cut the camera to add tears to Tam's face?? Like his tears looked fake, I can't explain it, I really can't. Din does not pass as a chef at freaking all, more like a kid in a costume. Milan being a high-key homophobic?
Overall, I don't recommend this show. Had I also realized this was a side BL, I would've never tuned in in the first place. I love seeing small series like this with new faces, especially in Thailand when they have other series to go up against like ones from Studio Wabi-Sabi and GMMTV. I usually root for the underdogs, but this was just a complete disappointment. This series needed to have done some regrouping before this shit, Lord have Mercy.
