One of a kind

Whilest at first glance, the story may not seem that original, in the world of a c-esport-dramas, this story is completely different to others majorly. for example, the two leads in this show are e-sports players whereas in a phenomenon such as Gank your heart or go go squid, its just the male who is the professional e-sports player. There is not a boring moment at all and if your looking for a drama that will give your butterflies, just watch it.
Cast
This show is casted very well. Xu Kai, plays his characters really well and his eyes are just beautiful. whilst there was controversy on cheng xiao's acting, (lack of expressions), i think she played her character very well and thats why we all got so invested in her journey.
i have rewatched this show so many times, i wish i could start to watch it again with no memories of the show so i can get butterflies again.

barely passable

What to say about this series?
I guess, it started stronger and ended weeker.
The plot was uninspired, the acting below average (only Kimmon had the aura of a professional actor), the kissing nearly not existent and without energy or conveing any feelings, the chemestry lackluster and no real fluffy scenes. Production quality was also sub-par. I guess the best part was the intro :)

If you didn't see it, you did not miss a thing, as soon you watched it, you will forget it.
Overall I would rate this show as boring.

I started this drama just to pass time. At first, I got tired of the continuous nonsensical fights in it.
When I almost stopped watching it, I saw thumbnails of some of the late episodes; a new face looking sad with love in his eyes, and I decided to hold on until that character is introduced.

Once the character came on, I started skipping everything else and binging one story. And the story was beautiful. Every new thing gets revealed was even more beautiful and made me fall deeper. The story took me through a roller-coaster of emotions.
That was the only couple I fell for. I loved how they were understanding each other. Even though they might have disagreements but they deal with it thoroughly like they both want to make it work and they take each other’s side even if they don’t make sense.
My rating could be a little inflated because of this part of the drama.

I still went back to watch the scenes I skipped because the other side characters were funny and meaningful. It grew on me.
All the characters go through a hateful phase, especially the very annoying mothers, but they can be very funny.

The only part I truly hated and never batted an eye to was the DJ. I couldn’t stand it from the beginning.
It is too long to rewatch, I don't think I'll think of doing that.
The instrumental OST was amazing. Sadly, I couldn’t find it anywhere. And the OST songs were lovely.

At the end everything wrapped up nicely. Thanks to this drama in many aspects, I feel revived.

11:55 PM was a creepy short film that will resonate with a lot of women who live alone. Based on a Korean urban legend with one part of it stirring my memory of an urban legend from my own culture.

A young woman is heading home late at night. When she arrives at the parking garage at her apartment complex her boss calls. She needs to redo her work and have it done by midnight. Put out at the late night order, she accidentally leaves her phone in the car. That’s when things go from bad to worse.

Director Oh In Chun showed how isolated a person can be and feel when threatened. And also how the brain and body can freeze from fear. I don’t know the name of the actress but she accurately portrayed the initial irritation a person would feel at an annoying person disturbing her work and quiet late at night. As the realization of her predicament slowly sank in her face and actions grew more frightened.

If you’ve ever been face to face with a fight or flight scenario when neither response is a viable option, you’ll recognize the terror inherent in the situation. For long time horror fans this will likely feel tame. As for me, I’ll double-check my locks tonight and make sure my phone is charged.

From what I read (@cocomila on YT), the symbol drawn on the door means Beta---
Alpha: empty home
Beta: female home
X= saw the inhabitant (usually female) alone or about to rob

And people from my country know the punchline from the story kids tell each other to scare themselves,
“The call is coming from inside the house!”

Definitely going to re-check those locks now!

if you want to watch something not very rushed and clearly thought out drama about time traveling this might be a good choice . i started watching this because of one of favorite actors lee joon hyuk , but this drama was a very good shot.
up until the things get revealed , it has a good watch value , contrary to some opinions , i think that the last 2 or so episodes were amazing as well, and in a kdrama world where they always mess up the plot for no reason , this drama held out well. in first few episodes you might be baffled what is going on , but its not that hard to keep on track . in the later episodes things will get intense ( but no dragging ) . it was a clearly well written and directed drama , almost no plot holes and even if things get predictable , there are hardly any cliches. this is not the most mind-blowing time travel drama in the sense that its not that complex, if you hold into some key points then its enjoyable to watch. there will be many twists , so many twists but you won't regret them , none of them are unnecessary.
the acting was on point. there were no overdrawn cliches and despite having dynamic leads there was no romance at all , which in a sense helped the drama to get into another level , because there were no other variables involved, for which i really liked the drama. i can't deny that i wanted to see their cute moments but the pace of it really over shadowed my desire for it haha . each of their acting was natural and when i say it felt natural i mean all of the lead characters and side characters . their portrayal really felt so real. aside from the main leads , i really liked the acting of the actress who was se rin 's character she was very good .
the drama had a very good ending and i am glad that they didn't drag it for making 16 episodes and ended it at 12. i always felt like time travel or mystery dramas can be very well made into 12 episodes or 14 at least , then there remains no unnecessary dragging involved. my review might not be very articulate , but i really want to people to watch it if they read this review. it was one of the best dramas i have ever seen in terms of time travleling , which never felt out of line for one moment , it started good , continued good and ended very good. a very well written , directed and acted drama.

I was going through my completed list and found this movie, then decided to rewatch it despite my growing ptw

At first i was pissed off by how much of a spoiled brat FL was. But after the arranged marriage, she shows a different side. She's willing to learn and super positive about everything, her naivety kinda frustrating at times, but that's her charm.
ML's character was kinda dull. I don't think he got much development.

Too many cliches, that whole marriage arrangement is silly, SML was unlikeable, and the acting was pretty convincing. However, it doesn't mean it's not entertaining because i find it super fun and extremely hilarious. I have rewatched this movie again and again. Why? I have no idea. There's something addictive about it to me.

Watch this movie for pure entertainment and don't take anything seriously, you'll enjoy it!

A happy couple ending to make us forget the lost plot @_@ (well guess what I didn’t forget-_-)

This drama had so so very much potential but alas in the final hour we the viewers received a major upset and letdown. I originally chose to watch this because of how much I loved Feng Shao Feng in Minglan as well as the storyline it was intriguing. He plays a totally different character in this drama and I think he did a splendid job and his versatility speaks to how good of an actor he is. As well as the female lead and the rest of the cast everyone did a pretty great job acting their roles.

This drama is classic case of what I have been seeing with many new dramas of the writers being too clever for themselves and wanting to have their cake and eat it. Too many times have I been watching a newer drama and the most chaotic and unhinged arc happens only for the audience to find out after many wasted eps that it was all a ruse planned by the main leads. It’s a bit silly no? Then we get these long ass flashbacks of how they did everything. It’s lazy writing to me and shows that the writers could not commit confidently to a single storyline and I despise it. They think it creates gag worthy iconic moments when it really just undermines the entire drama’s plot as well as kills any future viewer suspense. We lose trust in the story and its credibility moving forward.

This drama had me cackling and giddily kicking my feet at all the hilarious and cute moments for a good 25ish eps and then it really just went downhill after the king passed! To say I had whiplash would be an understatement such an enjoyable drama turned into a snooze fest of an unhinged raging bratty villain who claimed they were doing it for the citizens but really they were just as bad as those they were “fighting”. I found it very hard to understand the villains motivations as I believed what happened to them did not warrant all the people they killed. This led me to be frustrated and bored while watching the last 10 eps.

This is also called the Legend of ZHOUHUA not the legend of zhouhua and crew lol. I felt too many unnecessary side stories were focused on too damn long and I don’t mean of our favorites those were fine but you know which ones. The ones that had you thinking “hmm it’s been awhile since I have seen the mains leads, where are they?”. I think that the story kinda gave Zhouhua’s main story the cold shoulder in the second half which I didn’t appreciate bc that’s what we all were here for. Focused too much on monologues and how the villains basically villained if that makes sense lol. She rises quite high in rank but if you ask me what she did to get that high well I wouldn’t really be able to tell you. I think per usual the writers wanted to pad a female character with a fantastic armor of a story but not really take time to make sure the story was properly carried out and handled.

The music for this drama was pretty good I enjoyed it a lot and will be saving to my playlist. Now y’all know dang well this drama don’t deserve no 8+ rating lol. But all in all if you need something in a bind to watch I guess this is okay but lower your expectations and don’t take it too seriously. Seriously or you’ll be in for a world of frustration lol. Enjoy.

Need a medical drama with fluffy love then add this to your watchlist

"Koi Wa Tsuzuku Yo Doko Made Mo" starts off with the meeting of our two characters Sakura Nanase and Tendo Kairi. Sakura instantly has a crush on the brilliant and apparently friendly doctor and sets her goal to become a nurse so that she can get closer to Kairi. After 5 years of wait she meets cardiologist Tendo Kairi. But his personality changed, it is way different, he's known as 'Devil' in the whole hospital. This was shocking for Sakura.
But Sakura Nanase actively pursues Kairi. The medical incidents provide a slice of life. Although the secondhand embarrassment upsets me little bit but lessenes as the story progressed. The co workers provide a friendly environment in the hospital. The interactions with the patients were satisfactory. You'll keep smiling through the journey of icy cold devil falling in love with our 'warrior'. The sweetness will make your tooth ache. The supporting cast did a decent job. Tendo Ryuko leaves a mark with her quirky character. Kisugi Koichi ,another cardiologist although had a crush on Sakura helped her throughout. You can witness how Kairi and Sakura finally falls in love and reciprocates afterwards. After stressful or unsatisfying dramas refresh yourself by watching this sweet, fluffy romantic medical dorama.

This was a very pleasant watch with fewer aggravating plot turns than I've come to expect from Kdramas. I have a bunch of random, disconnected opinions:

*Ji Ho was a very likable main character. Actually, she was too charming and beautiful for the story, because I found it hard to believe that even a guy as damaged and stoic as Se Hee wouldn't immediately fall in love with her as soon as she moved in. As a reserved, logical guy myself who doesn't like talking too much, I can relate to Se Hee to a certain extent, but even I would totally speak up and tell Ji Ho that I loved her and wanted her to stay and not let her leave so easily. Also, it’s highly unlikely that a beautiful girl with her personality and outgoing temperament with a healthy sex drive who wasn’t raised in a fundamentalist religion or cult would have reached age 30 without having gone on a single date or kissed. Or that such a girl would only have 2 friends. It would have been much more credible if the actress was more plain or quirky looking. (Did anyone else think that something about her eyes makes her look Japanese?)

*Poor Jung Min, being mistreated by the Nam family over and over! Not only does Se Hee dump her with his dad's encouragement, his wife Ji Ho years later just uses her up and doesn't give anything back to her. So Jung Min goes out of her way to be totally generous to her ex-boyfriend's wife, offering her a job, using her company’s attorneys to file an expensive lawsuit for her, and then finding her a job at another company when she got rejected. What does she get in return for this? Absolutely nothing. After Jung Min's company helps file this scandalous lawsuit against their fellow industry colleague, isn't it obvious that her company is going to be blackballed and lose business? So she's totally going out on a limb for Ji Ho. And Ji Ho doesn't even bother to accept Jung Min's offer. I felt sorry for Jung Min.

*Bo Mi was so cute! I think she would have been a perfect match for any of the 3 main guys, Se Hee, Sang Goo, or Won Seok. I'm sorry that she came up empty at the end.

*Was Sang Goo channeling Christopher Walken? I liked him, but I would have dialed that back a little.

*I usually can't stand those typical Kdrama clingy girlfriend roles, but Ho Rang actually was a better example of this, and I found her very sympathetic. Won Seok was very sympathetic too, and I thought he did by far the best acting job out of the 3 male leads. Because both of them are so likable and realistic, it made their ending that much more of a disappointing cop out. Absolutely nothing changed for either of them, so why wouldn't they continue this endless cycle of breakup and makeup indefinitely into the future?

*I'm just as frustrated with Ji Ho's strange divorce decision in the last couple of episodes as everyone else. Why couldn't she instead do one the following much more sensible and less disruptive things?
A) Ask to have a temporary separation so she can think and decide what to do for the future. This is actually what she really ended up doing, except that she misled everyone into thinking that she wanted a permanent divorce, causing unnecessary pain and disruption to everyone around her. The separation should have just been discussed between the 2 of them and not announced to the whole world as a divorce.
B) Maybe actually communicate and talk things out like normal people. Just come out and tell Se Hee that she loves him but she wants him to come out of his shell and tell her he loves her, show more affection and emotion, and change their marriage contract so that it's based on love rather than paying the rent. He would have immediately agreed and things would have been fine after that. Also, they could have told their families that they want to have a non-traditional marriage where they opt out of those in-law duties. Problem solved.

*The editing was very strange. Scenes would end abruptly in odd places, switch to a different scene, and then come back in a way that was frustrating rather than artful or dramatic.

My first review for my top drama

Seriously the best Chinese drama I have seen so far. All dramas I watch will be compared to this one. I never rewatch dramas but I made an exception for this one. And after all these years it’s still awesome.

Story
Enjoyable story keeps you hooked till the end. There could have been a little bit more romance, not necessarily for the ML but in general. The story is not too complicated but very interesting and well written. I didn’t find any unnecessary plotlines rather I want to know more about what happened before the drama starts and what happens after it. Season 2 sadly doesn’t really connect to the end of season 1.

Acting/Cast
Top notch acting and very well-chosen cast. The characters in general are a joy to watch and unique in their own way. You can tell it’s a veteran cast with lots of experience.

Music
I personally don’t pay much attention to music/OST so I can’t really judge but I certainly can’t complain about it.

Rewatch Value
First drama I have ever rewatched and will probably rewatch in the future.

Overall
A must watch for “historic/costume drama”-lovers and if not, should at least give it a chance in my opinion.

This was so good!
Some thoughtful writing and even when there was only six episodes I didn't feel like it was rushed or incomplete! It was just the best couple chemistry from the very first scene!!!

I just feel like that ending I don't like it usually when the guy goes away Where Your Eyes Linger and Your Name Engraved both had it and I read it in Call Me By Your Name ages ago and I loved the book so much but the ending left me in a depression hole lol back when there was no thought of a movie so I still haven't gotten over it.

But somehow it felt really frustrating and similar to Call Me when Your Name Engraved did it ffs that movie broke my heart . But in Linger it doesn't feel as heavy because the overall feel of the show is light angst and honestly this one is even lighter angst so I wasn't hurt by the end just a little disappointed.

I generally don't like bittersweet endings ngl so that's probably just me I prefer either Happy Endings or just plain tragedy. Because tragedy is when someone literally dies for another person. That's HEA for the couple right? But Call Me By Your Name and Engraved where one person chickens out or "goes away" leaving someone you're supposed to love STRANDED just isn't love to me.

So yeah back to WBL I think there's a next season and I won't mind if it becomes a regular thing like History

Truth be told.... I would watch Kim Sun Ho in anything! He comes from a theater background and it shows in his work.

Um, Lee Yoo Young I don't think I've seen her in anything else, but in 4 episodes we get the in-depth look of a couple in crisis of not really communicating.

My boyfriend did not like her at all. It was good to get his pov while watching this. He couldn't see why Wan would let Seong stay at his place for so long. So, if you can get over this bump, then you can watch the whole thing. My boyfriend didn't.

Honestly, the drama felt like a play and that's OK. It was good to see them eating and drinking (this did go on a good bit) and some other stuff which you will have to watch to find out.

Backtracking just what went wrong? Questioning friendships vs. relationships. Lots of grownup things going on in this one. And the chance of meeting someone new.

My biggest complaint...her hedgehog. How could she?

I like the supporting cast very much. I liked the music to this drama, as well. It was a satisfying time to watch this drama.

WATERMELON SUGAR!!! ?✨

Ah, I’m sad I finished this show… The characters were so fun, to see the band practices and the friendship tighten throughout the show was just so 😎👍🏻. Eun Gyeol’s unconditional love for his parents and how he tried so hard to make their lives brighter💗. Personally, I think they focused too long on Yi Chan’s crush on “Se Kyeong” (even though eventually they strangely made it seem like he knew for a while that “Se Kyeong” actually liked Eun Gyeol – I wished we would have gotten more of Yi Chan and Cheong Ah). I also think that Eun Yu and Eun Gyeol should have found out about each other’s identities a little earlier. But overall, this show made me cry, laugh and was a lot of fun💞.

Simple and Lighthearted!

The story is funny and as wacky as you'd expect. If you want a quick something to watch while on break, or need a good laugh- this would be the story for you. It's not too overzealous as it could be, and I think that's best. Could I honestly see this being an actual TV Series...yes! It would be one of those dramas you watch and say, "how the hell did they end up in THAT situation?!" It would draw you in to a point where you would have to watch the next episode just to know more. All in all, it's good for what it is.

The writers did alright with this drama. I mean it was full of suspense but I guess most of it. The only thing I didn't see coming is the actress who played... Nah, you have to watch it and see for yourself.

Seo Kang Joon did absolutely everything he was born to do with his great talents and that is act the part of the story. I loved his fight scenes. I'm so glad that this story for Seo Kang Joon was not about revenge but finding out the truth so thank you, writers. Han Seok Kyu, I'm afraid of you, you played your character very believable... *shiver*. If that was reality, I would be more fearful of you than the ones actually being so dang evil.

Police Corruption is no joke! There suppose to protect and serve the community they work in. That part...
