I Want More!

I loved the story of enemies, turned friends, and then into more. I feel they did a wonderful job, conveying the relationship between the two characters in spite of their having to censor. I’m glad they didn’t spend a lot of time on Wu Bi’s dysfunctional family. However, if there is a season two(fingers crossed ?? ), I’m sure we will see more development in that department.

I loved seeing the blended family grow together, and that little girl is such the glue that holds and bridges that family, without putting extra pressure on her into that roll.

There are slight clues in the last scenes that indicate a positive outcome, we can only hope that is the case if we don’t get a second season.

comedy aside, it's laughable

you might find this title confusing, but I mean exactly what I said.

I went into this drama knowing I'm not very fond of the supernatural genre, willing to give it a chance as there haven't been a lot of romcoms out this year (at least, in comparison to previous ones) and because the FL, Woo Jian, did a phenomenal job in If You Wish Upon Me (2022), which easily became one of my favourite kdramas of all time, I was curious to see her in a different role, as well as co-staring with Taecyeon, which I believe to be one of, if not the only reason so many people concluded this drama.

this drama is not a "vampire drama", it is simply a drama... with vampires in it. things happen because they are vampires, but in
any way, shape or form, there is any lore created other than "good vampire bad vampire".
the story is weak. the whole drama surrounds around him wanting a love that makes his heart beat, yet there is no heart at all... ever.
there was an insane amount of filler episodes, that added nothing to the story, probably because there wasn't much story to tell, to begin with. many weird things happen with no explanation from start to finish, other than acknowledging it is abnormal (well... no shit!).
the romance is meh, the actors did their best with what they were given, but it was all a bit too formal for my liking.
the most positive thing about this drama is that the side characters are genuinely funny, but they were given no story (which I'm still trying to figure out if for the best or the worst). this does not include SML and SFL, who are possibly the most annoying duo I have had the unfortunate fate to watch in a very long time, with whom I would love to sit down with and simply ask... is it that serious? you barely know these people!

overall... I just knew not to take this seriously midway through, I laughed at how bad it was multiple times and I enjoyed myself doing that, so in a way... it was fun? for me. would I do it again though? absolutely not. I genuinely believe I just kept watching because I had a lot of free time in my hands while it was airing.
initially, I was going to give it a 6.5/10 as giving lower ratings usually come with deep hatred and dropping the show for me, but as the suggested rating is 4.5, which is solely riding on the acting, I'm taking it down to a 5.

oh! and ML dies at the very end? in the weirdest, least impactful way possible? aaand FL shows up with no explanation to how she found out his location whatsoever, obviously...

I loved this drama! It is filled with humour and emotion and balances the two well.

But of course there were a few shortcomings;
- Ae ra annoyed me at times, it felt like she could never be pleased. But overall, I liked the character.
- I feel as though some characters that appear to be quite dominant in the beginning just vanish as the show progresses for example; Moo bin. Even though his character is not one you would particularly enjoy seeing. Also, for some reason the first few episodes somehow feel disconnected from the rest of the drama.

Overall, I REALLY enjoyed it. I wasn't too convinced with the first few episodes as I stopped watching for a week after the first three but as soon as I picked it up again things got a lot better. I'm glad I gave fight for my way a chance, it was a nice break from the supernatural/historical dramas I had previously watched.

A Weirdly Appealing Drama!

"The Disappearing Child " & "The Bad Kids " This one gave me similar vibes. So if you have watched any of those you easily get the mood.

Nobody Knows requires your full attention and your full patience.Yes is one of these Dramas you cannot play with your mobile/cat/dog while watching. And you have to dedicate yourself to it because it is not an easy watch.

Beautiful Cinematography.Emotional Music scores.Clever Direction which pulls all the right strings to make you feel a large range of emotions.Incredible and natural acting too.Zero complaints about any technicality.

As always i started it because of the Murder/Crime case. That was the "click bait" to me.Once again i fell into the same trap like a fool. The synopsis is quite misleading.Do not fully count on it.Its just the general frame.

The format regarding the timeline is weird, messy and confusing as hell. There is not a clear past-present or future. You follow the story with only indicator the time stamp which appears on your screen as a guide.
You watch the scenes and you are completely clueless about them.Because the flashbacks turns to be...flash-forwards!
I swear i paid full attention while watching. But for 10 freakin episodes in a row,i had the feeling i was missing very important details.(and this made me doubt my IQ!)But no!I did pay attention and i didn't miss any detail.
Don't worry.Every confusing scene will be cleared and fully explained in the latter episodes,so everything will make a perfect sense.

Because everything became more clear after the 10th ep.The story about the murder case(s) starts to unfold.Until then it was only a sub-plot,like the writer forgot about it.Too late for my taste,if you ask me,but at that point my interest shifted to the amazing and so well written characters,so my initial anger cooled down really fast.(because i started it with the impression it was a hard core murder case drama!)

The pace is really slow, takes its sweet time to tell the story.Which is mostly about the heartwarming friendship between the 4 main leads.Surprisingly to me i found the dialogues pretty realistic and the teen-agers' struggles, fears and hopes were too real.Going back many-many years ago(lol)i felt i could relate. And i think this is the biggest advantage of this series. The realism of every character.Made me feel for them and it was easier to follow up with everything.Because when you just don't care about the main characters there is no way to like the drama, right?

It is a fully detailed story about those kids lives. And i felt the urge as an adult,to advise them, guide them, protect them from life's hardships.I wanted to give them a big hug and assure them that everything is gonna be alright.Damn i had no idea before starting it,that will touch me in so many different ways.

If you decide to start watching it,remember to be patient. And please,do not drop it even if you are tempted to.
The last episode will pay you back for all the previous 15 eps.At least,i can guarantee you that!

"If i can save a heart from breaking...
I haven't lived in vain.

If i can take a person's pain away or relieve a person's grief
or help a lost robin to return to it's nest..
I haven't lived in vain"

Sometimes brave people can bring about change

As the Tibetan antelope numbers rapidly decreased from one million to around 10,000 in the 1990's, men from the Kekexili area formed the Mountain Patrol to deter poachers from the area. Based on a true story, in the nearly lawless, desolate land the patrol had no one to rely on but themselves. Outmanned and outgunned by the ruthless poachers they would have to be resolute in their convictions in the unforgiving terrain to save the endangered animals…and themselves.

A Beijing journalist with a Tibetan father, Gu Ya, succeeds in imbedding himself with the Mountain Patrol. Their leader, battle hardened Ri Tae, accepts him with the hope a story could bring more help to their cause. The patrol is mourning the loss of one of their own who was murdered recently by the poachers. Gu Ya scarcely has time to unpack his bag before the men head out on patrol to track down the murderers. Along the way they cover barren desert and forbidding mountains. Gu Ya discovers how harshly they interrogate witnesses and suspects, especially after they come across nearly 500 hundred dead and peltless antelope. The patrol reverently stacks the carcasses and burns them with a funeral rite. The small band of men have to resort to selling the pelts they discover to pay for medical care and supplies.

The patrol was decimated by illness and death. The earth reminded them that despite their noble cause, they were vulnerable in spaces without food and water, where snowstorms could erupt in a moment, and quicksand could swallow a man in a matter of seconds. The desert and blizzard winds mercilessly erased all traces that a person had ever been there. Ri Tae was a man possessed with catching the murdering poachers which endangered not only himself but also his men as they ran low on food and fuel. Tibetan actor Duo Bu Jie was perfect as the patrol leader who was relentless in his pursuit of his enemy and also loved his men and the land.

Mountain Patrol could be disturbing with scenes of animals being butchered with numerous carcasses and bullet ridden pelts. Yet it also featured beautiful and stark landscapes. Director Lu Chuan filmed on location where the events were said to have happened in a land so remote a person's steps could be the first footsteps there since the dawn of time. The soundtrack was emotionally haunting, perfectly accenting a scene without intruding. The story was gut wrenching as the men with "dirty hands and pure hearts" suffered devastating losses. Yet their losses for a cause they believed in did bring about change. After their stories became published the government designated the land a natural preserve and the antelope population has steadily increased. Lu Chuan never fully answered what compelled these men to risk their lives in service to the graceful animals, but the world is a slightly better place because they did.

It's such a cute and fluff series!!!

If you are a fan of a cliche story with a small twist, this series for you. There are so many cliches like enemies to lovers, poor girl and rich boy, and childhood friends, but the story is interesting so you cannot be bored. There are two main stories in this series, a failed first love and a first love that is just starting to blossom. It is such an interesting story about first love, what would happen if you will fight or did not fight your first love despite the odds.

The chemistry between the two leads is undeniably very strong. Aside from their chemistry, despite being a teenager they were put emotion in every scene that they have. The supporting characters were also great, the circus gang. It is nice that they treat each other like a family and you will definitely feel them, which is one of the values of the Filipino. They are funny and very supportive to the main leads.

The musical score was also great, you will definitely feel the magic once the music starts playing.

What I hate, just like every Filipino series, was the series was drag too long. But despite this, it is still better than other Filipino series. Overall, I love it.

Not happy with the endings .

Drama was very good . I watched it till end . It has some interesting scenes . Male lead had a bet between his friend that he make female lead to fall in love with him .But she hated him , whenever some wrongs happened to her ,she thought he was the one behind all this . Nothing good incidents happen between them which made him to fall in love with her only in one scene where they had accidentally kiss each other and he thought she is one with whom he wants to spend his whole life .she didn't love him ,at that time she only want to meet her dad . Something had happened and they got married and slowly and slowly she started liking him and they spent some good moments with each other. Due to some misunderstanding they broke and separated for five years. they met again but they spent very less time with eachother and got separated and drama get over. Atleast one bonus episode for them to reconcile

So strange to find a drama that hasn't been reviewed yet.

My weakness of mermaid dramas made me start this drama.

The story is good in my opinion but I did stop watching when I hit the half way point because some of the characters were just too annoying for me to handle especially as I was binge watching so a break was definitely in order. Now that I've completed the drama, I'm glad I didn't completely write it off.
I enjoyed the main couple Talay/Fahfon but I have to admit that their romance was slightly disappointing in my opinion. It felt very rushed and just thrown in there at the last minute.

I wouldn't rewatch this drama purely because of the annoying and evil characters, unfortunately my tolerance for them is getting weaker. XD The ridiculous laughter the crazy "doctor" had was incredibly annoying. Seriously.
I only recommend this drama to those who can handle super evil and super annoying characters. I really enjoyed when they all turned into merpeople (voluntarily, of course!) If you enjoy action, comedy, fantasy and (EXTREMELY LIGHT) romance and mystery then this is the drama for you.

WHEN ACTING BECOMES ART.

This drama is very hard to review. It's quite impossible to be unbiased when you are facing such great performance as those of Lee Joon-Gi and Moon Chae-won. The first time I was so pulled in by their acting that I forgot everything. The storyline is quite confusing, not because is a bad story, but I guess it's the classical case of wanting to put too many cookies in the jar. As a thriller with a limit of 16 episodes (more would have been redundant) it's very hard to follow the story of a serial killer active for generations and with ramifications into high up family, government and police. Add to the mix false IDS, family secrets, psychological issue and it's really too much too handle. Thankfully, a STELLAR cast among wich: Gong Mi Ja, Kim Moo Jin, Choi Jae Sup have a way to act while explaining that is superb.
I know I sound like a groupie, but seriously, Joon-gi and Chae-Woo reached their peak with this drama. NO EXCESSIVE CHEMISTRY between them. Just a normal MARRIED couple going through hell. Bravi.

Well Done, Simple Sweetness

Great. Sweet and cute. Well written, acted, and directed. Definitely worth a watch. Story is simple but still holds up to an occasional re-watch. Quite satisfying and left me with a smile.

Watch past the last title page in each episode for another short scene.

The actors were comfortable with each other and had great chemistry. Their characters are believable as two young men in love. The uncertainty, flirting, skinship, and kisses are all very natural. The kisses are realistic and look like the characters are actually feeling through them.

Lee Seong Gyu was very charismatic. He also did a fabulous job realistically portraying the anxiety and a panic attack associated with the fear of his love interest once again disappearing on him. He successfully tugged at my heartstrings.

A little angst, that was mostly light, and everything was resolved well. The length of the story felt just right (eight 30min episodes)

Music wasn't memorable but wasn't distracting either.

Touching and ultimately satisfying.

The movie has a different feel and pacing from the series, and initially, I was disappointed as I was looking for, and missing, the lightness and humour that was such a part of Cherry Magic. I thought about bailing, but I kept watching because those two actors are just that good. Seriously, I'd pull out the popcorn and the lapquilt just to listen to them do a table read of my insurance policy's fine print. Once I settled into the movie, I started to enjoy it for what it was: a more serious take on what would happen once the magic of a fairytale dissipates. By the halfway mark, I was totally invested in the film, and closer toward the finish line I kept mentally tagging places that I knew I'd want to rewind to. All in, I felt it was a touching end to a wonderful series, and, as the titles says: ultimately satisfying.

easy to binge in a day if you want a good laugh!

so i watched all 6 episodes in a row and thoroughly enjoyed it!

here is what i liked about it:
- the teams dynamic is great, i loved their friendship and banter, you can tell they get on really well
- the comedy aspects in this had me laughing out loud multiple times
- the acting from everyone was great, i especially enjoyed lieutenant han
- it is easy watching

i don't quite understand why people are saying its boring or that they didn't like it, however i suppose we are all different.. BUT i would definitely recommend this to someone if you want some easy watching action filled drama, it did not disappoint!

i just hope we can get a season 2!

Do Not Hesitate. Jump Right In and Watch!

I deadass created this account for the sake of this drama. So bear with me, I'm just that typical girl who's longing for something to binge-on that won't risk my heart and mind feeling anxious and troubled. This one right here caught my senses. Very light, heartwarming and script was well written, like something to ponder on. Hella cute too, especially the break-up scene. So matured mindset! I've seen a lot of school and youth cdramas, but this must be the only series I dared watching till the end. I hope this will gain a lot of viewers, and this will convince you to add this on your list :---)

P.S. KIDO MA, or Chen Jen He!! I adore you so much! Wishing you the best and more main lead roles in the future. (You could have gotten that (Weightlifting Fairy Remake/ So It's you) because I felt like you suit the role as Nam Joo Hyuk. You have this silly, cool with warmth vibe in your eyes. I can't explain it. I just adore you so much that it hurts.

Wow! What a wonderful series. The forbidden love story between Demon Lord Dongfang Qing Cang and Fairy Orchid is beautifully presented. He is a calculating, cold, aloof, ruthless leader, while she is a simple, warm, bubbly, kind fairy. They are from two realms that are sworn enemies. They seem at first to be complete opposites, but they are essentially quite similar in bravery and the lengths they will go to for each other.

I quite like a dominating male lead, and one who is strong and protective, yet also faithful and respectful to the woman he loves is very appealing. Orchid is beautifully portrayed. Her little voice is perfect for her sweet fairy nature. Her generous smiles light up her face so joyfully. Her own journey of growth and self discovery is every bit as amazing as Dongfang’s. Her mantra of “I love all beings, and I love one person” made for difficult life choices in the circumstances she found herself in.

Chang Heng is very likeable as the heavenly god of war. His character in the human realm is so different but equally sincere. The side characters are wonderful. Shang Que is adorable in his unwavering love of Jei Li and total loyalty to the Moon Lord. Fairy Dan Yin has a well rounded story arc and is brave and true. At first I thought she would be one to cause trouble to Orchid but I particularly liked how the side characters aren’t used to create angst for the main couple with that typical downward spiral of jealousy leading to evil plots, which is a common contrivance in other dramas. Instead they have their own journeys, make their own choices and are quite delightful to watch. It is very refreshing.

The costumes are wonderful, especially the totally amazing headpieces. The realms are so beautifully crafted.

There are blurred lines between right and wrong, good and bad, victor and victim in all the realms. I see this in other dramas too but perhaps this one takes it further. Seeing the moon tribe village without any men due to the past war was really sad. The fear of annihilation drove both sides to extreme measures in the past and has kept them at a distance since, and always on alert to possible threats. This makes it hard for them to unite against a common foe, who manipulates both sides quite easily.

I did wish for a longer ending. Things were wound up well but I simply wanted more of Dongfang and Orchid.

I think this one could easily be rewatched. I loved it.
