..I WON'T TELL TO ANYONE..

..most of the jdrama genre are detective, mysteries - yeah, same as here but what makes it unique is the plot itself - solving cases which remains unsolved many years ago..
.
..first time to watch Odagiri san - I do love the casts having Riho and Hayato on the lineup..
.
..well, most of this genre too have a long time to watch but you never been bored since from time to time a funny scenes are included..
.
..there are some part thay can be obviously be solved by the viewer but there are some are not - well as what the ML always says it only based on his own research and investigation with the help of his assistant and the other people from the department..
.
..a kind of detective series where the culprit is not to be arrested..
.
..also, what I do love on this series is the realization of the culprit in the past are completely wrong - I mean they did that because of their anger or any emotions attached, but in the end they realized, the people they killed gives importance on the culprit (though not all the episodes)..
.
..and like the other comments, I am looking forward on Kiriyama-san and Mikazuki-kun love journey haha..
.
..a balance of comedy and detective. . .love it so much - gonna watch the past series too..

This is a feel good movie, light with some touching stories. Nothing epic, but the adult animals are well-trained to deliver acting that some are better than their human co-stars. Mostly are Hollywood pet stars that are hired together with their animal trainers, only the pig and the kitten are local. Not necessary a rom-com, but other relationship such as family bonding and friendship are explored as well. But mainly are relationship between human and their pets, and some were not accustomed to own pets before. This movie is mainly to teach people to love animals, especially, domestic pets, where both sides (us and our pets) find love, healing, friendship, family, even trust.

Adults probably shouldn't waste their time with this!

This is one of the worst cdramas I have ever watched. Truth to be told I wanted to drop it after ep5, but I had nothing else lined up & I needed something to watch during my 5 hour workout session. Naturally I have had my fair share of high school & college romance cdramas, but this is perhaps the first time that I felt this bored. People talk about liking slow burn romances & I usually like slow burn romances as well, but there has to be a hook, such as good comedy, or interesting characters, or sometimes even just the audiovisuals. In this show there is nothing like that. Uninteresting characters go about their school lives in a really boring & dragged out way, at least that's what happens in the first 25 or so episodes. (out of 36 episodes) The OST is weird, the visuals are nothing to write home about and even the actors are bad. I don't really blame them though, I mean how well can a 15-16 year old girl act in a supposed college romance story? (and FL is still far better, than the at the time 16-17 years old idol ML)

The last 10 episodes are much better, if I consider those a separate drama that's probably a 6/10, though it's quite difficult to forgive the extremely bad separation plot.

As for the second ML, for the first 25+ episodes he doesn't do anything beyond misunderstanding FL's every little action for FL liking her. After the fifth time I started smashing my fastforward button. His other love line is bad as well. The actor is an adult, but he is no acting genius , that's for sure.

The writers that wrote this worked on Put Your Head on My Shoulder & A Love so Beautiful before. I find it baffling how could those people come up with a script this bad. My disappointment is comparable to when I tried watching Start Up.

Just to say something good about the drama, I found that FL's gradual transformation process was really great. It's not jarring like in Ugly Betty, or other soaps that follow this trope. Another thing that comes to mind is that FL really looks like her mother in this drama. The mom was a phenomenal casting decision & she is probably my favorite character in the drama.
edit: I thought of another good thing! The drama has one "real" kiss scene and I think the way they hid the touching lips was relatively good. A hundred times this over cheek & forehead kisses. (or stupidly playing with angles)

Honestly I don't understand why this drama has an MDL score of 8.3. It's not funny, it only has a little fluff near the final episodes & as I said it's badly acted as well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I mean sure there are many that get mesmerized by beauty & then proceed to watch whatever happily, but we are watching literal kids here. I'm not sure what the average age on MDL is, but I have some uncomfortable thoughts about this.

This was really entertaining.

Here are the points that I liked:

1) It didn't need several episodes to introduce you to the characters or the plot. I appreciated this a lot since I find struggling through the first episodes always very hard until you can get really into it.
2) The ghost wasn't the usual "Rescue-me-princess".
3) The Magistrate is somewhat a dickhead, but his beginnings and development seem believable unlike in many other dramas
4) The change of their surroundings was great, too, and fitted good into the overall plot
5) I actually did like the background story that tied all together and how the Gods put their tactics into it
6) I liked the ending, it was dramatic, neat and satisfying

This drama is not a huge masterpiece, but it is well done altogether and was good entertainment.

These short films are both under 5 minutes in length and utilize many aspects of horror. With the camera angles and video quality one can easily tell these clips are older (made in the 90's) but that does not make them boring. The story is pretty original for what is presented in such a short time. The acting is not amazing, but it is not awkward or bad. Each actor and actress fits their role just fine, so the acting is what one would expect. There is little actual music in these shorts, however the use of audio affects are outstanding, especially with quality headphones. The sounds, many whom have experienced the Ju-On franchise will know: the sounds of moaning, scratching, creaking and cat meows - but they are not static, stale, or boring. The sounds enhance and add suspense to clips many may assume are too short to do anything. Despite the age of the clips and the expected audio the clips are worth watching and can be rewatched multiple times, especially if one wants to watch everything in the series.

one of those dramas that started out so good but gets really boring in the mid.  the story was kinda refreshing for me.  gaming world to the real world.  i have seen many high-school /University dramas, but i thought this was different.  it was fun at first, but got too draggy and boring.
yang yang as a perfect guy, of course he looks like heaven, not that i have seen heaven but everyone assumes it's beautiful so was yang yang.  and even zheng shuang is very pretty. but other than being gorgeous they did nothing for me.  they were lovely couple,  chemistry wasn't convincing though.  the first ten episodes i enjoyed and then for me,  it was going downhill

The final part of the friends game series focuses more on the main character rather than the friends. However, many secrets are revealed. The final twist actually was really good!! It spiced up the plot, that, otherwise, was entertaining but nothing too special. The performances from all the actors and actresses, moreover, were really good, and, especially, the main character was very emotional. So, overall, the series were entertaining and the theme interesting and I can say that the conclusion of it was just the one it needed for friends game ending.

I'm not quite sure how this review will turn out once I'm done, because I'm not 100% sure what I feel about the drama. I liked the idea of the male nanny, so that was what made me watch this. The first episodes are funny and entertaining, but stuff get a little messy after that (or at least as messy as this drama can get - it doesn't play any of the situations out at all). The drama has a serious case of split personalities. The first story is cute and family based. It's about the male nanny coming into a family and taking care of the children and the hardships that brings. The other story is about a modeling agency, run by the children's aunt, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the original story. It's a world of it's own with characters and affairs that doesn't relate to each other what so ever. Only in a few scenes do characters from the two worlds (except the aunt) meet so that the audience won't remember it as two different dramas.

The music is okayish. None of the songs made me open my eyes and think 'Oh, I need this song!', but it wasn't annoying either. At most times it just fit well with the scenes, but it wasn't remarkable.

Although the story got a little flat near the end, it was never really boring. It was just... there. It's not the most entertaining drama to watch, but it doesn't in any way require effort. It's a typical laid-back drama.

I was originally gonna give this drama a 5, but I'm a sucker for cute endings.

6/10

Not as good as I thought it would be sadly & MAJOR annoying characters

Well, I was quite excited for this drama- Minho, Chae Soobin and the storyline all seemed great. Idk maybe I had too high of expectations but I didn't really enjoyed it as much and almost dropped it tbh.

First, I'm not a big fan of the FL's character; she just gave very bad vibes- first she cheated on her BF and acts like nothing happened when they get back together; like this was just glanced over. I mean obviously the writers had the two leads sleep together again for the plot but it just didn't make sense... And secondly I didn't really like the way they portrayed her when she was working- she always got backlash, was always taking other peoples shit and she never like stood up for herself???? Anyways, did not like Chae Soobin in this series- liked her way better in Rookie Cops.

And Minho was the same lmao I LOVE HIM but he wasn't that great in this series...um idk if his character was just flat or he's just bad at acting??? But the ML was boring and tbh the two didn't really give off chemistry as a couple.

UGH and seriously all the other characters were so annoying, they were so over dramatic!!! I almost had to stop watching cause of how bad it was.

The only characters I really loved were Seonho- she gave BADASS WOMAN VIBES and I loved it!! ALSO her new BF way better than her ex. I also adored Joseph and his assistant JD, their work relationship is goals. And I love Joseph's mom, she's literally so sweet and supportive!!!

LASTLY can we give some love to the SML because I would of chosen him tbh lol. He was so sweet to the FL. It's actually quite sad how people aren't over their exs and they start new relationships but in reality, they're not 100% into their current relationship...AND that was basically the story of the FL LOL.

Dive into the Unknown

Oh what a mesmerizing emotional ride for the entire ten episodes! The perspicacious storyline, the role played by each cast with such éclat, the refractory emotions drawn out of every scenes and every dialogues macerated my heart, my mind, my soul and my existence with intense ineffable joy and sorrow both at the same time.

Navillera portraying a dirge vibe with its tone, filter and mood, have shaken my whole being with overwhelming emotions. Each and every episode made me cry out bucket of tears. The message of the story has been enunciated through suave sadness. Let me point out the diaphanous depiction of the story one by one which actually resulted into such level of admiration from numerous viewers.

The inevitable and uncontrolled curse of old age, yes that can be changed possessing gargantuan enthusiasm. Looking at life beyond what it is. Celebrating it amidst the flak, malignancy, wretched society, weltering failure, rising and shining again through fiasco is called life; living a wholesome life, living a deserving life. A simple message it contained. Splice up life in all adversities, in all maelstrom it throws and rise and shine again. Life is ephemeral not a single living being denies it yet irrespective of age, situation or whatever the condition a person is facing without debilitating, one must move forward.

The talented, crotchety young ballad student who was living diligently in this harsh competitive society and a 70-year old pertinacious man who was gradually turning senile, both of them come in contact for their greater passion for ballad. Both of them were adamant in their own stand; having extreme grit the first wanted to win renowned national and international competition and the latter wanted to soar at least once in his lifetime. So much of wholesome and platonic love developed between these two. Nearly five decades apart their age were, however, their camaraderie made everyone inebriated of various emotions for sure.

Many issues were depicted via this heartwarming story. The struggles of young people to live a decent life in this robust technological, globalized and competitive era. The struggles of old people who simply have no clue what to do with their life instead waiting for their life to end. The struggle of a person who wants to fulfill their dreams, their hurdles are seemingly endless. When a child, family restricts prospering a dream tagging a taboo, at young age too swayed with the hardships of life, at middle age too inclined in making a living for sustenance for his own family when at an old age the shame of getting revealed to the society or his own children. Shame is to die without trying, shame is to not venturing into one’s dream obtusely, shame is to not being able to satisfy one’s agog.

The portrayal of the story fused between mettlesome and pensive. Mettlesome in the sense that it forces one to hold onto that little straw called hope in one’s life and dive into the unknown without caring a single ounce about readiness with a fiery spirit; pensive in the sense to reflect at least once how to lead a more productive more fulfilling life till the end of our time.

Through terminal illness, through daunting young age, through superficial societal norms, through malicious judgment, through irreversible failure, through harsh rejection, through unbearable dejection – soar at least once. This one life given to us, make it quintessential.

All the casts were pure resplendence to enjoy. Haven’t seen such perfect cast so far. Each role was played meticulously by all the super talented individuals of all ages. I want each of them to soar like an eagle elegantly in their career for many more years to come. They all stole my heart especially one of our cutest duo – Chae Roki and harabuji. Haimoni was also the cutest.

Ending=Rating Up

In all honesty I really expected this to be pretty basic and cliché so I didn't have high hopes for it. I happily regret having that mindset cause it's definitely better than expected. It starts out a little plain but it grew on me. Visuals all around and the storyline of each couple gets fluffy, emotional and overall realistic. If you're looking for high sexual content TURN BACK! I was pleased af with the ending and even though my re-watch value is average I'd still recommend to a BL newbie or someone who likes light and simple romance. More importantly, (to some) I have to give extra credit to the actors, they're all predominantly new to the BL/Acting industry but I gotta say...the kissings scenes were VERY convincing!
Enjoy...
P.S. It took me a LOT longer than I care to admit to realize 2 of the characters are real life brothers LMAO

Very nice feel-good dorama with an interesting premise (it's centered around a sorta "female GreatTeacherOnizuka" having to deal with a night-school class entirely made of adults, each of whom dealing with his/her own problems) which, albeit being mostly ok, still had some weak points and a few scenes which I felt were bit forced (hence my vote: "only" 8/10 as I'm not fully convinced by the script). Anyway, the cast did a great job, particularly Mimura, who was absolutely perfect in this role!!! :)

Super Cop is supposed to refer to Jackie Chan’s character in this movie but could just have easily been referring to Michelle Yeoh’s character.

Jackie Chan’s Chan Ka Kui from the previous Police Story films goes to China and teams up with Michelle Yeoh’s Captain Yang Chien Hua to go undercover and break Yuen Wah’s bad guy out of prison and join his brother’s (Kenneth Tsang) drug gang in order to take out the Big Bad. After being accepted into the gang, they all go to Malaysia and meet up with Lo Lieh’s drug general. Lots of shooting and things blowing up ensue. They also have to bust Tsang’s missus out of jail before she is executed because she’s the only one who knows the number to the Swiss bank account where a fortune in drug money is stashed. Along the way, they run into Chan’s tour guide girlfriend (Maggie Cheung) who blows his cover because she is the dumbest girlfriend in cinema history.

The plot isn’t very strong or consistent. Most people don’t watch Chan’s movies for the plot anyway. The action is slightly different in some places because it relies more on guns and explosions. If you enjoy Chan’s comedy schtick, it’s dialed back here, but should be still enough to satisfy you. As always, the draw to his movies are the insanely dangerous stunts he performs mostly himself. Super Cop is not short on them. The bonus is that Michelle Yeoh performs most of her own death-defying stunts as well.

Chan gave his usual manic performance, though he didn’t mug as hard for the camera in this one. Michelle Yeoh’s gravitas made an excellent foil for him to play against and there was never any question that it was a partnership of equals. The two had good screen chemistry with Yeoh nearly stealing the show. It was hard to watch the talented Maggie Cheung play the jealous dim-witted girlfriend. Yuen Wah and Kenneth Tsang made excellent bad guys. One of my favorite old kung fu stars, Lo Lieh, made a brief appearance as a general supplying the drugs to the different cartels.

I would like to have seen more hand-to-hand combat, but what there was played out well, no surprise with Yeoh and Chan. The stunts were quite good with Jackie dangling from a helicopter over Kuala Lumpur and Michelle Yeoh landing a motorcycle onto a train. Rumor has it that the stuntman who initially attempted it broke his leg trying the stunt. Michelle Yeoh was able to land the scary jump herself.

Fans of Jackie Chan or Michelle Yeoh movies should be satisfied with Super Cop. The two martial arts stars bring enough daring action and excitement to help overlook the flaws in this film.

17 April 2022

edit--I liked this movie better than Police Story 1 which was graded on my pre-1990's curve so I went ahead and bumped this up to an 8 on the curve because the stunts were just as amazing and the cast was stronger. It also didn't have the 30 minute lull in the middle of the film. 25 March 2024

This movie is all about life around an odd family managing so-called single-room, run-down hotel somewhere in Okinawa. The story is told from perspective of the youngest daughter of this family, namely Mieko. She is very energetic (and tomboy) kid who loves to play with her friends. During a summer, she has to face a reality that her mother and sister going abroad, leaving her with his dad, a brother, grandmother, and sole guest in the hotel.

Nothing to glaring or special, but this is definitely a fun watch! Frankly speaking, I have a soft spot for slice-of-life movies and dramas. Prior to watching this show, I already loved Okinawan culture and looking forward to go there. This show adds my enthusiasm and curiosity of it. The girl playing Mieko is so exciting to watch, I wonder why talent of this caliber so far hasn't make it big.

Trivia: the girl playing Mieko eventually plays in asadora Amachan (2013) as one of GMT 5 idol member. After 11 years, she is still the same funny, mood-maker though.

The world of the married is a scary world tied in a psychological battle between the ones who want to protect, the ones who want to destroy after being destroyed, and the ones who go out of hand into a crazy circle of revenge. It was a crazy intense roller-coaster with iconic characters.
Honestly not all relationship go this way and not all worlds of the married are like this. This is the world of the couples described in this drama. While there can be many couple’s like this out there in reality, not everyone is like that.

If one asks me if they should watch this, well I think I will tell them to try and see. This was an absolute hit in Korea and it was not because of pretty actors or over-hyped story. This drama is really well made and it can seem to go smoothly and slow at first but each episode gives a big shock to you at the end and you are left there with goosebumps waiting for the next episode. However I don’t thing I can lightheartedly recommend it to everyone. There are two or three friends I know that I won’t recommend this to. So I think It is a matter of personal preference and that if you are wondering if you should watch this try the first two episodes and see if it intrigues you  It is a mature psychological drama that can be difficult to watch at times but it is also captivating at times.

Ji Sun Woo is perfect woman with a perfect family. She has loving husband, loving friends, loving son, and a great job where she excels as an amazing doctor. They have a big house and even though the husband sometimes struggles to get investors for his movie productions, they are not struggling and earn enough to have a quite content and almost luxurious life.
So what happens when you learn that all of this is not as perfect as it seems. One small seed of doubt falls into Ji Sun Woo’s mind and that small seed leads her to several small and later big actions. While searching for truth the seed grows bigger and bigger becoming a tree and the real picture the truth covered deep into lies can’t hold on any longer, and it starts pouring out of all the cracks made by the roots of that tree of doubt. Ji Sun Woo’s world collapses and drowns in that sea of truth. With her world coming crumbling down she has to struggle to no go down with it. She starts to take bigger and bigger actions which eventually lead her into completely different life that the one she imagined she will have before learning the truth.
Cheating is always bad and even if some forgive their spouses and live with them the aftertaste still remains, deep in their hearts.
That is why this is a heavy drama. Tied into lies, cheating and misery.
But inside all that Ji Sun Woo tries to be strong. To protect her child mother can do anything. And one shouldn’t make a woman angry…. If a man’s revenge can be straightforward, woman will do anything, even embarrassing herself and stepping on her own pride just to protect her child and herself. You shouldn’t mess with a woman. Well actually, you shouldn’t mess with anyone.
Many people I think were absolutely shocked with this drama and and older audience sometimes saw themselves in Ji Sun Woo or other characters. And even if she can be wrong sometimes one can’t help but start to root for her.

Lee Tae Oh is seems to be a perfect husband but is actually very weak person ready to move after a skirt if that skirt is smart enough. He seems to like only certain type of women and Da Kyung was one of them. Well I did feel sympathetic towards Da Kyung sometimes but honestly she was just ignorant clueless girl without any deep thoughts..... She can be wrong and fall in love with a married person, yes... but the moment she learns that he is married, the moment she tries to destroy that family....... that's when it turns ugly and the bridges are burned. She was blinded to protect her dignity and the "foreverprincess" status which could lead her only to misery. My mom's former colleague actually was not pretty or reach but she somehow seduced a married man, made him divorce from his wife and 5 kids and is now living with him and they have a kid.... watching this drama made me remember her and on the other hand it made me remember a teacher in his 40s in my former school who fell in love with his student and left his perfect wife and the son he loved so much for that little 18 year old girl... The man here of course are also to blame but the young girls giving themselves to cheaters and ruining not only the other family's life bit also their own lives is very sad. Once a cheater, forever a cheater.... Da Kyung in this drama wanted to build a perfect family too as well as her parents wanted that from her. But not always everything goes as planned.
And of course there is Joon Young, the poor son who at his age can't be anything but selfish. Drowned into the world of traumas one after the other and the divorce is just the smallest of that.

I really liked the side couple and their aftermath. They were quite well done.
And of course this dramas scene stealer! The girl who didn't have a big role but was helping Ji Sun Woo and stuggling of the abusive boyfriend. Her performance was great and you couldn't help but root for her.

it is some amazing performance by all the actors. Especially actress who played Ji Sun Woo did an phenomenal job. I feel somewhat sorry for the actor who played the husband as the more love this drama got the more hate he got.
I don’t enjoy this genre but when I started it I couldn’t stop. It kept me on the edge the whole time and I couldn’t wait for the next episode. Each and every single episode made my blood boil and left me in rage.

My rating is not high because around the 10th episode I stopped agreeing with what Ji Sun Woo was doing. And the more it went the less I was feeling for them. I wasn’t happy with the ending too. As it left me with some questions and some things done wrong but that might have intentional so it might be my subjective preference. So my rating went down and down. However I am glad they didn’t go the same way as the original.

I never rewatch dramas so I put a random number in there.
