It seems 16-episode dramas are scares these days and I am so happy Undercover Miss Hong is 16 episodes. It started out slow but it grows on you! Before you know it, you are in for a wonderful ride. No romance but I like it that way. The friendship was wonderful, pure and true. Overall an excellent watch.

“- A wife needs to know how to cook..”- I feel so sorry for our master… His wife is good at running this business, but she can’t cook very well…- I get fed the same foods everyday. She’s terrible!”It’s an old drama set in the old days so this can’t be helped. This is how a father talked about his wife disrespectfully in front of his son and wife and another man, and they all laughed it off together. No wonder a lot of Asian men are patriarchal. They must have inherited it from their fathers. My father used to do the same thing with my mom in front of me and my brother.

Albert is such a scene stealer! I’m hoping he will have more projects in the future. And don’t get me started with Albert’s father! You know it’s going to be a good drama if he’s there! The scene when Albert talked to his dad was an epic comedy skit! Perfect timing! Also, As expected from a seasoned actor, his dad was so in character even when he couldn’t light the cigarette. Best couple award!!!

Yes, I think everyone wonder how it's passed censorship. The setting of that scene is very intimate yet I can only feel pure love, like a mother caring her sick child. XZ is in motherly love in this scene, that's why we got everything.I was a fan of Linghe since his debut, his acting in this scene is the best so far as an actor, very nuanced and powerful delivery through out the whole sequence. Both LH and XW nailed their respective roles in this. The Ep itself is very good in pacing . also we are witnessing how a man can goes mad for love and power. The only thing is my eyes hurts from crying non stop.

As a woman who was born in most chaotic time of one of the poorest, war-torn country in the world, grew up with political turmoil with ongoing civil wars, yes this episode hit thousand times . At the same time, it gives the message that to appreciate every moment and everyone like we all are human being who have flaws, mistake but it's very precious to meet someone and live peaceful together in harmony. This episode broke my every nerve yet it's hauntingly beautiful and peak cinematic climax.

I swear Winner is such a weak and sh**y person I cannot!!!Why the hell he was avoiding him without telling him why he is doing this? And also why Charlie didn't realise earlier to ask him that too, like c'mon.Way feels fishy sometimes, I don't know but sometimes I feel like he wants Babe for himself only or that no one can love him.Kim is the best bro ever, I love how he is honest and a true racing guy that wants to win be earning it not by cheating.Could mechanic boy predict future? Is it? That's an interesting thing here but then why he didn't tell him???

At least WanZhi keeps in touch with her best friend. Thanks to XingKe, WanZhi’s dad finds out where she is. To his credit, WanZhi’s dad didn’t cut any slack on the school staff for their obeisance to the Han family. It was easier for them to fall flat in helping WanZhi when she didn’t bother to stick around. XingKe has lost his student status and has 3 years in prison. I can’t find fault with this because he could have killed Han Bin. The Han family is getting the expected slap on the wrist but they did not cause the Mayor his job. This is actually a big win against big money. He goes to see WanZhi in ShenZhen and they both are equally stubborn and unbending. It caused a scene which worked in the spatting father/daughter’s favor as it calmed things down before even more was said to widen the chasm between them. Seeing the friendship bonds she had made for herself, he bargains with WanZhi to set herself up in a year or come home to finish college. He would have done better bargaining for her to take classes there to complete her degree. Going back to her school with the Hans and their crowd would not have been a favorable environment for WanZhi. She is disappointing referring to him as a foster father, and he is disappointing leaving with the first train instead of investing more time with his daughter rather than skip a day of work. This is where these two fail each other in a big way. There is better news for Juan who has finally agreed to be an official couple with Cpt Zhou. They have discussed their misgivings with family responsibilities and have agreed to take them on as a couple. Zhu got friendzoned by WanZhi when she finally did go with him to the market.😂 Jian is far more friendly but she has a habit of letting men pay her way with her looks and her voice. This backfired when a drunk tried to force WanZhi to sing with him. Mr Gao came to her rescue and she denies knowing him. She deserved him wondering if fighting got her expelled from college. 😝😂 She wants to prove her independence and be her own person. I just wish she was kinder to the family that raised her instead of calling them foster parents that gave her unmerited charity. Her adopted dad is just as stubborn, once again putting his job first when he thought he had the gist of her living conditions. He runs for the first train home instead of accepting WanZhi’s meal invitation. This was another missed opportunity to become closer with better understanding. They each went to their respective corners satisfied they got their own way in the matter. For these two, that is still most important rather than bridging the gap between them.

the end is so random. everyone basically dies? it was building up to a fight but then nothing? I didnt care at all about the main couple and their end is that he dies but kind of comes back. what is that. the pizza delivery was given more importance than actual plot points.

who the frack is Po's father? i don't give two shits about him dying, but he send thugs so they can what? force Po to come see him?? very weird & if i said i didn't care for Meen before this ep - here i have actively begun to hate this character. sorry to his other half - cause, cause of Meen i have zero interest in watching any scene's with him in it. **************************************& i get that the whole scene with Ngoen was a misdirect & he really is a good-loving-brother but idk there something that just doesn't sit right & will be happy if i am wrong, but i don't trust him. also i don't think that Sasom taking the info about Tonnam whereabouts is something Po needs to worry about. maybe Sasom just needs closure? maybe he just wants to make sure Tonnam is ok. given how he acts with Po i don't think he's still carrying a torch for Tonnam - or that he wants him back.

First ImpressionAnother emotional episode that somehow manages to hurt even more after everything that already happened.Episode ThoughtsThe episode opens with the ML caring for the FL while she’s unconscious, trying to break her fever. In a moment that feels both heartfelt and frustrating, he confesses that he will marry her… while she’s completely out cold. Of course he chooses the one moment she can’t actually hear him. After getting some information, the ML has to leave again. When the FL wakes up she believes she’s been captured by fake soldiers, so she escapes and ends up running into Captain Li. Before that though she nearly falls off a cliff again because she drops the arm protectors the ML had given her. It’s symbolic in a way — the gifts he left behind mean a lot to her. She’s ultimately rescued by the ML, who is hiding his identity behind a mask. He’s furious and demands to know if the arm protectors are more important than her life. The moment is intense because he clearly cares deeply about her, yet he still refuses to reveal who he really is. Strangely, after all that anger and worry, he lets her go again.Captain Li takes the FL back to the village where the aftermath of the attack is devastating. Many villagers have died, though thankfully some survived thanks to the FL leading the bandits away earlier. The real heartbreak comes when she discovers that her little sister is missing. Her sister has been captured by the bandits and is now in the hands of Sui Yuanhuai — a man who has already proven he has no limits when it comes to cruelty.Meanwhile the Sui brothers continue to become more disturbing. Qin Min is openly manipulating Manager Yu, trying to force her into submission and even using their son as leverage. His behaviour is increasingly unsettling and it’s clear he has his own agenda.Back in the village, the FL channels all her grief into burying the dead. She throws herself into the work because stopping would mean facing the pain. We also see hints that Captain Li may be developing feelings for her — perhaps more than just the duty he was given to protect her.By the end of the episode the FL makes her decision. She’s leaving the village to find her sister.Character NotesFemale Lead:Incredibly strong even in the face of devastating loss. Instead of breaking down, she keeps moving forward and takes responsibility for the survivors.Male Lead:His love for her is obvious, but his refusal to be honest about his identity continues to complicate everything between them.Captain Li:Clearly cares about the FL and seems to admire her strength deeply.Qin Min & the Sui Brothers:Their behaviour grows more disturbing with every episode. Qin Min especially feels manipulative and dangerous.Final ThoughtsThis episode leans heavily into emotional fallout after the massacre. It deepens the stakes and sets up the next arc with the FL leaving to rescue her sister.Things are only going to get more intense from here.Favourite MomentThe ML quietly confessing he will marry the FL while she’s unconscious.Trope Check• Secret confession while unconscious• Masked identity rescue• Protective male lead• Kidnapped sibling• Villain manipulating hostages• Revenge / rescue quest setup

This is hands down the best C-drama I’ve seen in 2026! The cast is phenomenal, and the main character absolutely shines—especially with their co-lead, who together have unmatched chemistry. They are easily the best on-screen couple of the year. The director’s work is top-tier, with action scenes that are incredibly well-executed and visually stunning. The cinematography is flawless, making every episode a treat to watch. Each episode keeps getting better, and the action continues to impress. I also appreciate the fast-paced storyline and that they stayed true to the original book with only minimal changes. This drama sets a new standard for the genre!
