Still wasting time on these stupid misunderstandings

This strange drama world where over half the characters are hiding either who they are (such as ShiYue hiding that she is Shi Yan's niece) or hiding their relationship with some other character (most of all the other characters) is just so tired and exhausting and it shows up as pure stupid in the moment when Shu Yi walks into the conference and all three of Shi Yan, Yu You and Yi Yang surround her and want her to sit with them. It's supposed to be funny, I guess? Someone somewhere on the planet thinks it's hilarious? Mostly it just feels exhausting and boring as the same plot conflicts get rehashed again and again.

Episode of many farewells

We finally got rid of that annoying Censor Zuo. 👏 But everything else in this episode was so sad... 🤧The Empress asking to be deposed so she could take the punishment for the Crown Prince and save him from any humiliation, and also make the Third Prince becoming the Crown Prince happen in a more reasonable way. 🥺💔ShaoShang and BuYi going their separate ways — him going into exile for 7 years and her confining herself in the Cold Palace for the rest of her life. 😭💔ShaoShang's mother finally realising how wrong she has been with her disciplining methods. 🥺An episode of many farewells... 😢🤧 But I do believe ShaoShang and BuYi will be together in the end because there are still 5 episodes left and plenty of time for time skips and other stuff to happen. 🤞P.S. A wonderful touch that Huo WuShang decided to keep his name as Huo BuYi to honour his cousin and let his name live the life he never got to live himself. 🥹

Not as bad as some of the earlier episodes,…

Not as bad as some of the earlier episodes, but the writer is still playing games with 'misunderstandings'. I really hope this show moves past that. I'm so tired of the way it is recycling the same plot circles such as "Mom forces Shuyi to go on blind date with Yu and so Shiyan gets jealous" and the "Shuyi thinks Lezhi is Shin's niece" and so on and so on. All these 'misunderstandings are just way over due to have been cleared up. As story devices go they are all stale and boring. And there are so many of them! And did we really need to have an obsessive stalker trope added to the show? I guess it means we get to look forward to Shiyan punching Yi Yang's face in at some point.

cute last ep & all.. even though i really enjoyed & loved this, have to admit the previous ep (or so) kinda turned me off (well that & what was done to Justin) so this kinda lost it's "shine" if u will. still loved Ko Neung & loved his parents - that family dynamic really made me smile. cause of them the whole "village that's a community" came to life - they were so wholesome it really made this BL into something special for me. also loved the friendship between Ko Neung, Augar & August - they were true friends & it was so heartwarming how much they cared & helped each other out when they felt something was wrong. loved that even now that they r in collage they r still as close as ever. pity Tle disappeared & nothing came of that (guess that's down to the problem with Justin - f*cked up but it is what it is). ***************************************************************************on a whole it was fun & loved the innocence of it all & i get that there was a need for a hurdle, so the mains could over come it - showing growth & a future, but i kinda went off Ko Song - it is what it is - the end.

The story of Gu City massacre

I loved the scene when ShaoShang played her flute and WuShang slowly woke up. The sequence of his memories was beautifully done — at first what they had promised each other and then how he had left her so many times... 🥺🤧❤️I hope he understands that him repeatedly leaving her, which was completely opposite to everything he promised her, is why ShaoShang is avoiding him now. 😒I do love ShaoShang's relationship with the Empress. No one really has trusted in her, nor really supported her as much as the Empress does. Even when she suffers from ShaoShang's choices and actions in some ways, she never blames her. That only shows how she acts more like a mother to her than her own mother ever did. But I know her mother loves her too, even if she can't show it as well as the Empress. 🥹A little surprise to me was that they actually caught Madam ChunYu, and now I can only hope that ShaoShang will be able to get that evidence from Sancai Temple, because the one who has it is one of her ill-wishers, Princess Consort Ruyang. 🤨🤞WuShang's story of what he went through in Gu City was heartbreaking. No child should go through such a thing. But I can only respect him for being able to stay as quiet and still as he did while witnessing his father's death. That already tells a lot about his personality and character back then. 🫣😭And now he has reclaimed his real name... No more Ling BuYi, all the Lings are dead... Only Huo WuShang remains! 🥹👏
